I'm sure Larry Smith will be issuing an update on RLYP in light of the 150M debt financing. Would you be kind enough to give a summation of his thoughts when he does so? Thank you in advance.
Potential new investor question...
I believe that IMSC has the best ETD device on the market. However, how does the company make money AFTER the initial sale. How much maintenance & resupply ("razor blades") does this product generate? I seems to work so well that it's possibly a victim of it's own excellent design. This is not a soft bash. I am seriously looking here. Also, if anyone is willing, please give me a little more color on the long history with DMRJ and it's apparent strategy of selling into any rally. I know I can find this info while doing my own DD which I am doing, but my time is limited. Anyone willing to save me some hours would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, in advance. Less
Question for the board...
Assuming the 3100 results are good and INO has an interested (and acceptable) partner, approximately how long do you think it would take, post P2 results, before a partnership announcement could be released?
Vorlon, doesn't that make Monday, 5/12, or early that week as the most likely time for the notice of uplisting? Thanks.
Question/poll for IH posters...
How many of you believe that Dr. Kim has received some kind of general/anecdotal feedback regarding VGX-3100 trial results? I find it hard to believe that he hasn't heard something from the small, tight-knit community for this kind of testing.
Also, if he has received such info, would it be ethical/wise for him to reveal such info with a potential partner?
Yes, INO was down 3.80% today, but biotech in general was down across the board. I have a watchlist of 26 biotechs that I follow and all but 4 were down very significantly today. Yet, INO, which had just had a share offering and should have been ripe for a major takedown, fared better than almost all the other stocks on my list. No matter how you spin it, that is a good sign and shows growing strength.
I know it's pure speculation, but I too think that Dr. Kim may drop a bomb next week at the conference or sometime in the near future. He's very astute about the market's manipulations and I think he wouldn't mind planting a little FUD of his own in the hearts and minds of shorts, both present and future. Getting stung a few times makes a serial short a little more hesitant. I hope he can do just that, and make INO a bit scary for the dark side.
The question is...how does all this impact INO? In the broadest sense, it is validation of INO's focus on raising T-cell response. That is what INO has constantly reinforced when reporting results..."first in class T-cell response".
What we need to know is do these other technologies used at Penn and planned at Juno have advantages over INO's technology. Which mode of delivery is superior...electroporation or transfusion? Which elicits a stronger T-cell response? Which is more powerful? Which is more adaptable? Which is safer? Which is less costly?
Certainly, Kim has known about all this other research and testing right from the beginning. I would expect that he is positioning INO to take advantage of the increased exposure in this space. My God, he and Weiner have the deepest of ties to Penn and Greenberg is on the INOs SAB. I'd love to hear the opinions of others. This is exciting stuff, but it is also a little unsettling. Thanks in advance and GLTA.
Question for Everywhereman...
Are you familiar with the DARPins delivery technology being developed by Molecular Partners. They just signed a very large partnership with Roche for therapeutic delivery of cancer drugs. Could you evaluate this technology as well as the "armed antibodies" approach to drug delivery vis a vis INO. Should we be concerned? Thank you.
Valid observation, X...
I am new to the pinks and just wanted feedback on the mechanics of trading large blocks of shares in less efficient markets. Needn't worry about using limit orders. I never trade without them. Thanks for the feedback everyone. GLTA
Thanks, again, Ero, and good luck to you as well as everyone else.
Thanks, Ero...
Please see my follow-up question about lot size.
Follow up question...
Thanks for the quick response, TJ. Just a mechanical f/u question. If for instance, one owns 200,000 shares, I'm sure you don't drop all 200M on the market at once, how would you break it up for the quickest and most efficient sale?
Question for the board...
I like ONCS's story and I have begun accumulating at these levels. My only concern is the liquidity of Pink Sheet stocks if/when I want to liquidate. I'm sure many of you hold high total share counts in the five and six figure range. How does one efficiently sell such a large position in a short time period? Sorry, not used to buying the Pinkies. Thanks in advance.
Piper Jaffray ups INO target price...
On 8/12, Piper Jaffray analyst, Charles Duncan, PhD, upped his target price on INO to 3.50. Piper doesn't "announce" its research to the public. Instead, it's intended "for clients only".
Thank you E-man. Your response was just about what I have been thinking, but I needed to have it validated by you. I know a lot of investors mistakenly think that INO owns the electroporation technology. Ultimately, however, barring unexpected bad clinical results, I still think that some kind of legal challenge may be the preferred way to attack INO. Unfortunately, anything can happen in the courts.
Question for everywhereman...
E-man, do you think there is ANY way that INO's dominance in electroporation can be legally challenged? I know they have a ton of patents, but is their position truly unassailable? This is the one area that I have some concern, hopefully totally unfounded.
Devil's advocate...
Just to be prudent, this may not be a bad exercise for this board at this time:
Question: IF you were a short or a company feeling threatened by INO's disruptive technology, what tricks, tactics or measures might you employ to try and hurt INO and hamstring its progress? Hopefully we can come up with a good list of things to be prepared for. As much as we love INO, in the real world, INO is going to make real and powerful enemies and they are going to fight back without scruples. Forewarned is forearmed.
Follow up question for Everywhereman.
If INO does reach $5 on its own, what multiple of $5 do you feel Kim and the BOD would require to really be tempted to sell the company? Am I right in assuming INO needs to reach around $5 before suitors start showing up? I know this is all pure speculation on your part, but you are much closer to the flame than the rest of us. Thank you in advance.
Question for Everywhereman...
E-man, do you think Kim can hold off takeover offers once INO gets to $5.00? What is your gut feeling on how high Kim wishes INO to get before he will entertain offers. As he said, "We're easy, but we're not cheap!". Can you put any speculative numbers on that statement? Thank you.
Can you spell m-a-n-i-p-u-l-a-t-i-o-n? Just take a moment and think about it. This is a classic short attack. It's set-up with a textbook trigger article, released late Friday PM, for maximum effect over the weekend. Then, it starts Monday with a mild sell-off to sucker in the first round of retailers who've been itching for a chance to get in on a pullback. Continue the sell-off on Tuesday, but add a false rally at the end to sucker in the more wary. Wednesday then drops even further but seemingly stabilizes at previously very strong support around 2, convincing the more TA oriented retailers that this is a safe place to buy. Then, wham, Thursday the price crashes all the way down to 1.67 on 17 times the average volume of the previous week producing the maximum desired effect of freeing up tons of shares. Just remember that every share sold in panic was immediately scarfed up by someone else.
Whomever set this up is not doing it just to make money shorting the stock, they want to make even more money riding the stock back up. I think somebody knows something and wants to be in when the news hits. These people have sources in the FDA and elsewhere that alert them when to get ready. We are currently witnessing how they get ready. In a perverse way, I believe this attack is a positive sign of good things to come. I don't wish to give anyone false hope and I certainly can't prove any of this but I nonetheless personally believe this is what is going on. It is too formulaic to be otherwise. GLTA
