Inside info?
Stock is down 75% from highs. Info is out there for all to see. People are really missing all that has transpired this month. The damn stuff does not work!
Selling the sh#t out of this oversees, I see.
Holding over the weekend is not smart. Wow, end of road finally?
Now that IS significant news. If they follow it up with real data, usage, revenues, etc. This stock will pop. Doesn't change my views of the science or the ceo, just means this is back from the dead from a trading point of view. Hope there isn't something "missing" from the PR that smart guys will jump on later in the day.
No, YOU should be pissed, disappointed and suspicious. The ceo, hopefully, will be under investigation soon. Even the Enron boys cracked eventually.
Yes, I know, I am pissed because my trading long position is getting hammered. Doesn't change the music behind the stage. Crummy ceo playing the cello, and she has been called out for what she is, a self-serving fraud. That last money raise was just so "beyond". Told you it was coming after her senseless hype about the UK thing and slash and burn attempt to discredit AF. Juvenile, amateurish and comes across to investors as more shenanigans from this badly conflicted ex-Enron "smartest gal in the room" knucklehead of a ceo.
Yes, but it is all "brilliant" and "encouraging" says Mr. Smith knows nothing about Stocks.
Rising tide lifts all boats?
Not this POS. Even my longest of long shot picks are up today. Not this POS. Now, I know that has nothing to do with the "science" behind the meteoric "rise" of nwbo, but it does have a lot to say about investors view of the company's prospects. BTW, AF had a very nice piece posted on the Street's main website today. Very humble, honest and hand-holding approach in picking apart the ceo and her not so kosher arrangements. Honestly, unless you really have done significant research and are willing to ignore the facts, just the same, can't see why anybody would go long on this one.
So the timeline went like this:
Announce the meaningless and very misleading UK "approval" of the therapy, then mercilessly attack AF both directly and with hired PR people, hope for a rise in the stock price, nothing doing, announce dilution anyway. Good plan Ms. CFO/CEO. BTW, I appreciate all of the private responses regarding the sec petition. Across several boards we have about 300 signatures. Might be enough to get an investigation started.
Just waiting now for Mr. Shill, um, I mean, Mr. Smith on Stocks to stand up and shout "brilliant" with respect to this new round of "financing". I know, they need the $11 million to hire an interpreter in London. Oh wait, they speak English over there. More dilution certainly on the way. Good thing Powers is both CFO and CEO so she can reason this all out in her head without any outside interference. Smells freaking bad.
Hey, I told you last week that dilution was imminent! Why else would this dishonest ceo have spent so much time trying to hype the stock with non-news PR and THEN go on the attack, through her paid henchmen, against AF. Ridiculous. None of it worked. The street basically hates this stock at the moment. My trading long at 5.80 not looking too good right here. Not a large position but thought Powers could BS this thing up above 6.00. Not so sure now.
Oh, by the way, I am also putting together a submission for the sec. It will ask for an investigation into LP's conflicted arrangements and whether she has been using her dual role as CFO and CEO to mis-state the financial condition of the company. It will also address the timing of PRs apparently aimed at pumping up the share price in anticipation of convertible bond offerings. Lastly, it will ask for a review of the cognate arrangement, particularly as to whether such arrangement was fully disclosed on Day 1 of that merging of interests. I have asked AF and others to put their support behind this attempt to clear things up. I would imagine AF would be happy to take a legitimate shot at Powers Inc for a change.
You guys are a laugh riot...Think I'll go to the Investor's Hub Halloween party dressed as AF. Should give you folks quite a scare. Cmon, man, stop the silliness: petitions, lawsuits, phone calls to the sec. How about suing the ceo for incompetence, falsehoods and misstatements? She is the one who is costing you money, not the free press. Yes, AF falls under that category. Even IF he manipulates the truth for his own ends. He is actually free to lie all he likes, if that is what he is doing. He is not on the company payroll, not employed as an analyst and not giving official investment advice. Slander is a tough thing to prove and falls outside his attempts to manipulate the stock as you say. Hey, institutional investors are paying zero attention to AF or to this board. No reason to jump into this stock right now (in a long term position that is) since trial data (as per LPs constantly changing schedule) is not expected for some time. The German HE revenues, when they don't arrive, will be overlooked with eyes on the final phase III readouts. Smart guys like me and some of us know how important German revenues are as an indicator of future success or failure.
Good news for the longs...
AF looks as idiotic as Powers thanks to "Street's" ridiculous rebuttal to "attacks" on AF. It is not the facts in the document, it is the fact OF IT. Once you start responding to critics you show you are scared, perhaps because you are guilty of the things you are being accused of. NWBO is being brutalized by its own fluffy and often contrary PR. AF's hatchet jobs are not to blame. If you are a convinced long than you should welcome his criticisms as they will, if proven false, strengthen the "long" case for this stock. Unfortunately, for the longs, Powers' PRs are unresponsive to most of the valid points raised by AF. Smart folks have her perfectly pegged for what she is: a stock promoter with perhaps TOO MUCH skin in the game. She is horribly conflicted both in her dual roles as CEO and CFO and in her ownership of cognate. On top of everything is the incredibly feeble history of vaccine therapies. Again, IMUC used the SAME science as NWBO and had very similar trial results relative to standard of care. The stock IS dead and NWBO has only marginally better odds, based on the data, of succeeding where IMUC failed. NWBO has been engaged in trying to bring this science to market for a very very long time. And the runway up to final data readouts just gets longer and longer. So what's to trust in?
Very, very nice post by this gentleman. See attached:
http://pipeline.corante.com/archives/2014/09/29/the_case_of_northwest_biotherapeutics.php
Idiotic interpretation by AF of the conversion deal. He may have a point with respect to the England thing. Perhaps Powers has a BS PR ready for him. Again relax, the stock is getting dumped along with the rest of the nano cap biotechs. BTW, AF does this stuff because he gets the good folks on this board (and other boards) to respond like religious fanatics in defense of Powers Inc. He loves the tweets and the posts blaming him for whacking the stock price. He is NOT to blame. There is a lack of institutional interest (minuscule participation) which allows the penny ante traders to play with this like a yo-yo. To my benefit, I might add, as I also trade this stock without longer term conviction
Currently long and getting beaten down. It will pop with the rest of the space. No worries.
2012 Articles? You MUST be kidding me. BS anecdotal evidence which, time after time, is found to be completely unreliable. Let's look forward shall we? Any "anecdotal" evidence from Germany yet?
It's over!!! Don't you get it? This company was a scam from the start. Smart folks here warned the diehards. Everything here was completely phony. If you could not read through those BS PR statements, than you really should not be investing by yourself. Paste all of those idiotic "grandmotherly" PR statements from LB to your wall so you will be able to recognize BS when you see it next time. Mistrust is your friend. Don't assume company leadership is legit. Assume they are CROOKED until shown otherwise. Yeah, I know, that's the cold hard lesson of life. You won't sleep worse for believing that people suck, you will sleep better knowing that you know.
So, conspiracy theorists...
Tell me why "good news" reported widely in the papers, see flipper's post, has moved this stock...down. It's not AF, it's not the little evil men controlling the bid/ask. It's lack of investor conviction. And, IMO, it's a fear of more of the same from this ceo. She has badly damaged her credibility with her retorts with AF, with her PR mis-steps and with her badly conflicted out arrangements. Good news is, this is a momentum stock, like most in this space. So, like I said yesterday, given the upcoming catalysts one would expect nice movement in the next month or two. Trading positions only children. Be careful out there. These things blow up without warning.
Oh, back to the conspiracy theories again! How's that letter to the analyst coming, you know, the one which is to begin: "we are here to hold your hand and make you understand." Arrogance leads to losses. There are no insiders on this board (at least I hope not), so your opinions are just that, opinions; express them that way for a shred of humility's sake. All the BS modeling in the world can't hide the fact that this either gets approved or it doesn't - and nobody here knows the actual probability of that. Not even the stat sig dudes. But, feel free to try a little pumping. As I said, I have a new long trading position.
No, stt, that is wrong. It is STILL all about the hype and investors can see that - hence that lack of follow through on the initial price movement this morning. Powers is a shill, regardless of how this turns out.
Took a long trading position today. Not because the "news" validates the therapy, anymore than the German HE thing did. No, what we have here is a great trading opp leading into the end of year with German data not only imminent, but clearly providing evidence of the usefulness of this therapy, or lack thereof, AND now we have the possibility of news from England, by year's end. I envision significant buying interest leading up to these catalysts. Unless this thing gets halted in the US for lack of efficacy, should be a very nice run-up over next couple of months. Keep parachutes ready at all times, of course.
You did the right thing staccani.
Delays and lack of clarity ARE scary. I would suggest, however, that if you were once a believer in this stock, you keep close track on German revenue announcements, or lack of same. If they actually realize some $ by end of year, that would be a tip off that maybe, just maybe, this thing has a chance. BUT, at that point there would be plenty of time for you to jump back in to capture the upside. I have no positions currently, sold out my trading longs yesterday, so I will refrain from posting again until I take another side of fight, financially. If this gets under 5.70 I may look to take another long trade. With possible catalysts, real or hyped, on the horizon, I would suggest that people not short this thing right now.
GL
More anecdotal BS from SOS.
You don't invest in that kind of nonsense. Company has a enough going on for which there is inadequate disclosure/clarity. Focus on phase III trial, focus on German revenues. BTW, on very light volume, this stock is getting a lift today which, hopefully, will carry forward to the moment she opens her mouth. IF it runs up, don't get hit in the ass by the door. Don't wait for AF and the others to pick her statements apart and drive the price back down.
Advice to traders:
Powers is speaking...watch for a run-up right before or just after she talks. Then short it. Takes a few hours sometimes for folks to comprehend the BS in her presentations, but eventually they get it. I have two long trading positions which I intend to dump as soon as she starts talking, if we get that lift. Depending on the "news", I will look to short right after she shuts up. Oh, Basin Street, good catch on that German revenues thing. Maybe she gives people a roadmap to revenues in her little talk. Nah, that would be something substantive. Not her style.
Oh, one more, I promise...
There looks to be very solid price support at about 5.80, give or take. It has held up well there for more than 4 months. Look for a nice 10%+ lift on the back of momentum in this sector, which swings from group to group. Bought some more today to increase my "long" position. Get the word out: absolutely no PR from LP. Oh, if we break the mid-5.70s AND the market as a whole begins to fade, we could go right down to 5.00 or so. I wouldn't like that right now. Trade well.
Just one thought? for today...
EXEL has NOTHING to do with NWBO, as regard to competitive landscape. NOTHING. Some very negative blog posts from "authority"-type persons today. If there IS an idiotic PR on the horizon, look for NWBO to break down. I have a long trading position currently, so hope not! LP, please keep quiet. There are no results from Phase III. Anything else is pure hype, which the street is used to by now and fully discounts immediately.
This stock WILL move in anticipation of trial data announcements, excluding end of trial data (which obviously will move the stock), in the wake of LP’s BS PR, in the wake of AF’s response to her BS PR, announcements of institutional sales or purchases (yeah right!), LP’s resignation, an SEC investigation, you get the idea. Oh, and one more thing, assuming “investors” are actually paying attention: the German HE revenues. To reiterate, unless you think the folks in lederhosen are heinous fiends, this therapy will be utilized IF it works. If there are no revenues within a quarter or two, THAT, to me, is pretty clear indication that we have a dud on our hands. And yes, I think I read one poster say, Powers should be presenting a fairly specific roadmap for realization of those revenues.
To the newbies on the board, or at investing, do not buy into the statistical analyses of those building a house starting with the second story, eh hem. They begin with the assumption that the trial is a success and then go ahead and try to prove it. The “stat sig” guys love their numbers. Maybe they are good at analyzing EXISTING data, maybe not. What they cannot do, is project the outcome of nwbo’s trials, no matter what they tell you, or what statistical concoction they whip up. That other company had phase II results which beat standard of care by, in some ways, a superior magnitude than nwbo has in its early trials. What happened? IMUC blew up. Don’t believe the hype, that company is dead. Go on the analyst websites and find that out for yourself. Thus, wonderful, if they were so wonderful, phase II trial data are apparently a very weak indicator of future success. And if you are not in the least bit worried by the amateurish performance of the horribly conflicted out ceo/cfo/cognate poobah, you should really consider stepping away from the table.
At the end of the day, it is “if, if, if”. Early results are far from a guarantee of future success. There is NO way to glean from existing data, a “model” for such success. If somebody wants to *****-off with numbers, that’s cool. Just know that these guys are not insiders, they have no more idea of whether this succeeds or fails than most of us, despite their arrogant “we speak for the entire pool of educated investors” retorts at criticism. This is, at the moment, a very nice trading opportunity. End of story. Take a shot at grander things from nwbo, sure. But gently, Wilfred, gently. Don’t feed the pig.
When this thing blows up, okay IF it blows up, I will ask the stat guys: “how’s your modeling look?”
Enjoy the holiday.
ANOTHER text book lesson about when NOT to trust a CEO.
People didn't see this coming? Are you for real? Go back through the old posts: we told you so...
Hey AF is on vacation for the next week, no worries!
Now would be a good time for a Powers PR, no fears with respect to being called out as a liar by the fiend.
Boo! Just seeing if you believe me. No, he really is away for the week, relax.
Good support at end of day. Unless sector tanks, look for a nice pop heading into the holiday. I'll take a 15% lift from current price and book profits again. Call LP before she slips away on the family yacht. Maybe the stat sig fraternity here can compose something for her to release, since they seem to know more than she does.
Bravo austin, good catch.
More blame ascribed to AF by the stat sig guys here! Making old AF feel mighty powerful. Oh, using the word "should" in a statistical analysis is strictly forbidden by the Statistical Society's Code of Conduct. I quote "should-hood is shit-hood". There either is or there isn't. There is either a supportable statistical probability of an event occurring, or there is no basis for concluding to such. Double blinded right on the phase III thing? Extrapolation of the phase i/ii data makes you feel confident even knowing the 90%+ failure rate of phase III trials? Would like to see some of the projections for imuc by the ss guys who think this one is gonna fly as well, oh, if nwbo goes away, that is, I forgot.
Powers, where are you? Need a big fat, silly PR to get this moving. Took a long trading position after covering my short yesterday. Nice profits again. Please, don't mention AF, THAT doesn't work! Maybe say something like "imminent" or "on track" or "any day now" or "damn the statistics, this thing will work ANYWAY". Go for it.
Ha! I don't think the folks on Powers' staff know or presume to know what the statisticians on this board think they know. Tread gently gentlemen. Knowledge puffs up, as a wise man once said. Astounding confidence in the assumptions. "No doubt", "without a doubt", "seems certain". This from the same folks who still think the imuc data was solid and that the company is a viable investment, oh, if not for nwbo. Yikes!
Sometimes it is dumb luck, sometimes I can see the momentum swing and sometimes I use a little technical analysis. Yes, these are real positions, and yes, the last 5 times I pretty much nailed the trade. THAT does not always happen, as you can see if you go back to older postings of mine. But lately, Powers Inc has served me very very well.
Took my own advice: covered at 5.82.
Taken a long position at 5.88. BS PR is welcome now! Give it to me Linda, give it to me!
Yikes! Flipper, step into LP's shoes, as you suggested before, and make certain not to issue any price pumping PR this week. This baby is at key support and looking to break down. I may just have to cover my freaking short (6.99). Aiming for 5.70, but not greedy. See what you can do. Thanks. Oh, just on the aside, agree that all the talk about financing is silly. Completely non-impactive financing deal. Bigger problems ahead, though. Man, I hate to admit it, but based on trading activity, this is probably a good time to pick up some shares for near-term flipping. But, I didn't say that.
"Wave" of buying supporting $6.00. Testing the 3 month low as we speak. Very exciting...Do we snap back, or do we break? Light volume may make for some nice peaks and valleys. This is great fun...Wait, just hit 5.97...I feel a BS PR coming on like a bad headache. Hold off "Linda", please, just a bit longer.
Stock looking very strong today.
Very obvious that the market sees the "imminent" potential for a buyout. Gimme a break! Dips below $6, hold on! Gets to about $5.75 I will cover my short ($6.99) unless bad news is the driver of course. Lots of trading left in this one given the fact that they extended the runway into the next time zone.
And, no, German revenues in the next couple of quarters IS important and extremely informative to the discussion as to whether this therapy is at all viable. Even a statistician can understand that!
Unconvincing but well-written, Pyrr.
Sometimes statisticians can't see through the swirl of numbers. In fashion they say: "can't see the pattern through the polka dots." Science is essentially the SAME. There is no evidence to suggest nwbo's technique will effectively target the cancers any better than imuc. And if you are saying that the only difference between imuc and nwbo, from an investment point of view, is that nwbo will get "there" first, boy, you may want to take a step back and read some of the critiques of imuc's failure. Sounds like an old Monty Python skit where the would-be queen keeps telling her tormentors: "I'm not dead yet." In the case of imuc, yes, you are. This is a fast moving world, technologies become obsolete in a nano second. By late 2015, 2016, God help us, who knows. Increasing PFS by a few months for o/s by a little more or less, may seem like an old black and white movie. I have expectations (unlike the blind faith on this board shown Powers Inc.) that much better cancer cures are on the horizon. I am heavily invested in what I hope are the best of them. With all good humor, and respect, believe it, I will say good night and promise to keep instigating discussion in the future.
Very much agreed swamprabbit. Your timing might be a little off, but the sentiment is perfect. Same science, same running PR fiasco, same delays, same "but, wait, we have an even better product" back door safety value (which doesn't work). IMO, nwbo runs up and down for a while yet, great trading opportunity. It ends 2015 sub-$2.00 with substantial dilution wiping out any possibility of a meaningful recovery even if there is some positive news from that other treatment. Wake up, phase II results were NOT very impressive, showing marginal benefit vs imuc and standard of care. And, by the time this thing hits the ground (assuming any type of approval), there are so many more promising options out there, that the vaccine approach will seem like stone age science. BUT, if there are no German revenues by, say Valentine's Day, this stock sinks a lot faster than projected. Oh, that Roche buyout thing? Freaking forget about it. Not a chance nwbo garners any interest from the big dogs. Nothing to chew on here.
Too late! Stock halted.
Bye, bye Lisa and Barry. Hope this puny stock gets the attention of the sec, but probably not. Very little invested here. My condolences to those who were not able to see right through these two frauds. To you young folks out there, it is a good lesson. Don't just trust them, MAKE them gain your trust. So many crooks and just plain nasty, devious folks out there. Amazing.
You're kidding me right?
This stock still trades? No prison sentences handed out?
