1 8 0z cream cheese, 1/4 stick of butter [both softened ], 1/3 jar of pickled jalepenos diced. put in mixer and add juice from pepper and about 2 tbsp of whipping cream. this is all to taste, so you judge as you go. this is great as a stuffing for celery or a spread for a bland cracker [ie. club cracker. cu.........tom
glad to see so many old timers are here still. i would like to thank excel, bnb, and bankroll for carrying the torch. i sent a message to excel telling that i had no problem with him taking the moderator position. i will check in and maybe more often, once i actually retire, again.
Swamp,
Very good point. I am an older fart so, I don't realize how cheap some tecno gadgets have become. Some degree of cleaning might be desirable, especially if the homeowners have allergy problems. Still as I posted to Bull, there is a lot of potential problems. ( The various duct types ). Your fear could be well justified. Take care and thanks for being here.
tom
Bull I know that it is very questionable. So many variables. Metal duct, ductboard ducts, flex ducts. That's why I say to research it. I lean towards your opinion.
Take care,
tom
wade,
my boss ( i was a meat cutter at the time, before i started construction, told me not to waste my money. His father and father in law were hvac contractors. ( one independent, one company man. )
He is who i use to fix my problems so i trust his judgment. he learned a lot working on the side for these guys.
just another opinion. frequent filter changes.
One hint i've read, is to during the off season (spring / fall ) before changing the filter..... turn to the fan only setting and take your leaf blower and shoot down each outlet.
I haven't done this but it seems like it might work. i would probably fabricate an attachment to fit the registers.
if anyone has a problem with this, please post, i don,t want anyone to do anything without research.
good luck and do your dd.
tom
Again, I wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
ONEBGG,
I just changed my carry from a Charter .38 to a 9mm S&W M&P shield. It lays a lot closer to the hip on an inside the pants holster. I have one .380 and it is the most inaccurate gun I have ever owned. Not that much difference in .380 and 9mm size so maybe it's just my gun.
Take care
Merry Christmas
Tom
I want to thank everyone for their input on this board. I have tried to share some information as well as I have gotten a lot from here. I didn't have a computer for a while so I kind of fell out of touch. Even though I haven,t been here it seems that the board has survived. I'm glad to see that.
I'm not doing as much as I used to because of my arthritis but we did just put a bid on a house that is basically a total gut job. I will turn most of the work over to my 22 yr. old son ( who I urged to find a different line of work, but this is what he likes.) I guess I shouldn't had him start working with me when he was 13. I look forward to reading more of your information and experiences from now on.
thanks to all
and Merry Christmas
Tom
I did a board search and didn't find a cooking board. I will check it out. Last thing I want to do is create a board that has already covered the subject. thx...... shao
Well, as I get older, my hobbies are changing. I have started cooking more and actually watching cooking networks on tv. I was thinking of starting a board for those people interested in cooking, grilling, smoking and other culinary endeavors. Testing the waters to see if anyone is interested. thx for any replies.
Still an incandescent junkie. Looking for a fix. Still unsatisfied with what I find. Found one option and I can't find it any more. GE bright stick soft glow. It's s shame that the government wants to dictate something as simple as how we light our homes. You could buy 4 bulbs for a dollar on sale , now it's 2.50 to 4.00 each. I'm all for the environment but there should be bigger targets.
good move on the battle with the contractor. A lot of arses out there. I never had any complaints but, I couldn't find decent employees I could trust. As for moving the laundry, great move. Free up home space and get rid of the extra humidity. Take your time. I'm sure you will do a great job.
Take care......shao.
Looks like a slow period on the board. I wish it was for me. My wife decided we needed a kitchen remodel. Kept the cabinets, lost a pennusula, new appliances, oak flooring, composite counter top, and paint. Oh yeah, she wants an island to replace the pennusula. Luckily my son is doing the painting. ( I hate painting ). Counter top was installed by dealer. the rest was on me.
Ill try to load some pics when I can get one of the kids to help me.
good to read your stuff. been traveling a bit and doing honey do's for the wife. got a few new toys. i'll check with you later.
LOL...JK I did have problems with the haelgon bulbs. had a couple explode in fixtures. when LEDs got more affordable I tried several.
I like a soft light. I found one I liked. GE bright stick. A tube shaped bulb. @ $3.00 it was a deal. Now I can't find it anywhere.
Oh well, I used to spend about .35 a bulb now it's closer to 4 bucks each.
I do need to find some indoor dimmable floodlight bulbs. Any suggestions appreciated.
Take care.......shao
Good to see you are still fighting the good fight. I'll check back in later.
Take care........shao
Dang Wildbilly, talk about digging up a dead dog.... Did you use another name on RB? I have lost track of a lot of contacts. I had a board for TRANSENERGY here. I haven't checked on it yet . good luck......shao
LED bulbs ? What's that. Sounds like a government conspiracy. I still use old fashioned American bulbs from my bunker.
You guys really did a good job on the board.
I imagine there is no shortage of material for the BARMS board. I will catch up over there soon.
Take care, stay locked and loaded.......shao
excel, sorry about your dad. I lost mine in 87.
I lost my mother this past July at 94. ( altzheimers and old age. )
my dad never taught me much , but I watched what he did. He was a bridge carpenter. ( Building forms, scaffolding etc...). I picked up the basics. He was surprised when I built my barn. ( By that point he such bad emphazema that I only let him watch and use skill saw on the ground. it meant a lot to me and I hope him also.
Mom didn't want me to follow in that path. she wanted me to be a writer / poet like her. lol. not my talent.
My son worked for me when he was younger ( 13 - 15 ). I hope he has forgotten my lack of patience and control of language.
Hello all, I know I have been away for a long time. I finally moved into the 21 century and got a new computer. I'm still trying to adapt to the mouse pad on a lap top. I'm going to be around more often. I see the site has well maintained and I thank the co-moderators for the great job.
I am no longer contracting but I still do some side jobs. My son, who is 21, is starting a landscaping business. That was my weak spot. I will probably work part time for him. I hope he's a softer boss than I was. lol. Good luck in the New Year. Good to be back.

bagwa-john, I appreciate your reply. It was a long reply so it will take a wcouple of readings to digest. I will print it off because I am old school and deal with print better. From what I saw at first glance, I saw some good advice and resources. I will respond ASAP. Problem is 11 year old computer. Need to update when I can afford. Thanks again --- shao
babwa I have been away away a while. You contacted me at Dojo board. hope all is well with you. I love the martial arts for the physical part of it. As a christian, i can see the chi as a simple matter of control of " mind over matter ". I'd like your opinion. I am 55 yrs old and started in the arts at 42. I have artheritis so I am limited in striking ability. trying to compensate. any suggestions?
Have faith in the people, not in the government. Just like poker, if this hand sucks, there will be another dealt soon. :)
Almost time to start my garden plants in the green house. Unfortunatly, this winter there was some major damage to the greenhouse. hoping to get a chance soon to get it fixed and move on. Also I have several shrubs ( pine and holly that I need to replace this spring.
Looking to ad a few new items to my garden that I have never grown before ( Okra, brocc and spinich. ) Any advice appreciated.

A lot of pumping by some new names, but I suspect old time posters. One was a company man. Love to believe it. In deeper than most. Company in my home state. Saw several legit small gas companies become successful. This one failed at every attempt, I hope someone can prove me wrong. Too many reverse splits to take serious.
Good advice excel... I would ad to record serial numbers on any and all firearms. this would be mainly for theft and not fire. I videoed and recorded my home as we moved in after building
it. Your post has reminded me of how many items I have have added since then. Electronics and 4 wheelers and etc. have a paper trail. Many times the guns we buy from individuals don't. Cover all bases. good luck to all.
lost a lot on this one years ago. it needs more than a pulse to get my attention. i would have to go look to see haw many shares i still have after the reverse splits.
Good idea excel. I might ad to record serial numbers of firearms and expensive items. I did this years ago and it is in my bank safe deposit box. Bad enough to have a loss but the insurance hassle is a real pain.
trkyhtr.... sorry for not replying to your post earlier. Computer problems. 8 yrs. old, need a new one, I agree with you about the bullts. Been looking for some that only scare an attacker, but i havent found any. keep up the good work ---- shao
Seems like this board is dead. In this age of video games I guess not too many still do anything physical. Too bad.
It's amazing at how far some will go to prove their ignorance. Does anyone really believe that any sort of limits will have an impact on the kind of crimes that the liberals are exploiting? Law abiding citizens should have the right to defend themself with the weapon of their choice short of the obvious ( grenades, rocket launchers and other weapons capable of unwanted casulaties.) Fully autos are are already regulated . This move by Obama has nothing to do with the latest events. It was predictable. Since his first election, he made that clear.
I tend to agree wit Bull. The house is haunted. LOL.
WTF is up with the link to a word. (people) and an ad?
I hear you ONE. Sad day for America, for sure. I do believe that the people will prevail. Gun ignorance is the left's biggest weapon. Most don't know a semi from a fully auto. I have faith in the people. Not the Hollywood, New York, liberal types, but the heart and soul of America. Obama expressed his dislike for us in his first campain when he seperatd himself from those that believed in God and guns. Keep the faith.
Sorry to see that this thread has slowed down in activity, I guess everyone is as distracted as i am. I would like to thank those that have made this board successful. good luck to all.
Lol PMS.... I have several "custom" cords myself. I keep plenty of electrical tape on hand at all times. Eventually you have plenty of mid-size cords for Christmas lights. Take care ---shao
ONEBGG - Good to see you're still here , fighting the battle for our rights. Keep it up. I have your back. So do a lot of other" God loving, gun toting AMERICANS! Take care I'll be around and check back in. By the way I picked up a few new toys since we last chatted.

"But seriously lets not be stupid folks. And yes these stories are true."
Too true. Every tool can be dangerous. Got the scars to prove it. When it comes to do-it yourself, have some idea of what you're getting into. Good to see you still here Bull and excel. take care.
