It will be exciting to see what happens
Yesterday picked up 500 @ 3.9. Lets see where this thing goes
NGL on fire this morning
How is this stuff not used all over the US for Burns?
I hate when the computer narrates but good video
I am real happy with NGL, which includes the preferred. I had some left over funds and got the preferred because I have enough of a position in NGL and the volatility (at the time) could be a bit much. At this time, NGL has been consolidating and any volatility is short lived.
Congrats to us. If NGL can put together another blockbuster quarter, I think we will be looking at $17 in short order.
I love that movie, I have seen it at least 10 times.
Dude, this has nothing to do with NGL, I am not sure how you got there or why you would think I care. Also, I am unaware of you saying anything negative about it.
You made money, Reshort on any bounce
Drop in the bucket.
Insiders started selling after the 1st crash for a reason, check it out.
It very well could but insurance generally has exclusions for gross negligence, willful misconduct or criminal acts. Insurance would not cover any punitive damages. Lots of information will come out of the criminal investigation and Congressional hearings.
I know both you and Jugs take responsibility for recommendations that you make and I appreciate it but we are all big boys & girls. I have taken some recommendations and rejected others, each of us is responsible for our own DD. I am always looking for a risky play to put a few $$ on. If this stock or NGL drops 50%, its on me, if it doubles, it is also on me.
I now have 5,000 shares of this and in the grand scheme of things, only a very small portion of my stock portfolio. I appreciate you guys and the help you have given but never worry about the direction or how things end up. If i buy a stock, it is because I did my homework and agreed with the recommendation. Well, to be honest, I did no due diligence on AVMXY, absolutely none just took your word for it.
Facts will be irrelevant, they will be dragged through the mud by the house and senate. Thu public cares little for facts and politicians less so. With that said, I think the facts will show that Boeing has some shady practices and knew enough after the first crash that the planes should have been grounded. Even if that is not true, that is the way congress will present it. Watch the GM or Wells Fargo hearings. Facts are meaningless
They will get hammered in the hearings. They will look like a greedy billion dollar company that put money ahead of lives. The good news is, you will be able to pickup shares at a far cheaper price
You knew about this gem for months? You are killing me. I could have been rich
Jugs,
you convinced me, picked up another 2100 shares and will see where it is at the end of the day.
I will shoot you an email in response to your message
No doubt. I will need the money, the wife and I are moving to France at the end of the year.
I see some of my friends got in this early, what happened to a heads up earlier?
Just kidding, kind of.
Lets make some money
Actually did the same thing. Added 1000 to my IRA so total is 2500. Only a small amount but we will see.
Hey friends, here with a small position of 1500 shares.
'Essential' safety features considered 'upgrades' on Boeing 737 Max
You can bet this will come up when the CEO of Boeing testifies in front of Congress.
https://www.techspot.com/news/79314-essential-safety-features-considered-upgrades-boeing-737-max.html
I have no idea what you are talking about. I posted this week that I expect NGL to pullback. All I am doing is posting factual info on BA, a company that produced a plane that resulted in two crashes. BA has only delivered 350 737 Max and two crashed. That is a 1 in 175 chance of failure per plane delivered.
If I owned BA, I would appreciate someone posting information concerning my stock, even if it was negative. Shoot, feel free to post anything negative on NGL, I know I would appreciate any heads up on problems.
Fyi, another airline is suing Boeing for lost revenue. I also speculate that with all of the lawsuits, criminal investigations and the fact that other countries are now doing their own air worthiness review of the 737 Max, the planes will not fly until earliest, July and I think that is being aggressive. If you read overseas news, you will find that the EU aviation authority is questioning if the larger engines are suitable for the old 737 body.
The reality is, what I post or say will not effect how things turn out for Boeing one way or the other but it may help people make an educated decision on how/when to purchase BA.
Hey Pete,
I am loving NGL price action. It is holding up well in a period where it usually pulls back.
I got your message and sent you an email.
Shawn
More good news
FAA to testify to US Senate. Bad for Boeing as the FAA will be pointing fingers at them. Getting their version of the story out first.
FBI now investigating.
It is good news if you want a safer plane and a company that does the right thing.
More good news
Congress plans to hold hearings as early as next week on the two fatal crashes that are expected to include the FAA's acting chief, Dan Elwell, and other government officials.
The IG DoT will be in charge of the audit. Lots of folks do not seem to understand the power of the IG. Ever see Judge Dredd? "I am the law"
The position is a law enforcement position and with unusual authority.
-The Inspector General Act of 1978 gives the Office of Inspector General autonomy to do its work without interference.
-The Inspector General Act of 1978 prevents officials in the scrutinized agency from interfering with audits or investigations
They have the authority to issue subpoenas
(1) to have access to all records, reports, audits, reviews, documents, papers, recommendations, or other material available to the applicable establishment which relate to programs and operations with respect to which that Inspector General has responsibilities under this Act;
Agree Pete
NGL looks great, better than it has in a long while. I would not be surprised to see $13.25 again but we know it would would recover quickly, within days or weeks.
I am thrilled with NGL
Very good news
Transport Canada Civil Aviation (TCCA) and the European Aviation Safety Authority (EASA) have suggested that they will want to independently assess the Boeing patch, and they will not clear the 737 MAX plane to fly in their airspace based on approval from the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration alone, whose rulings till now have been almost universally accepted by aviation authorities worldwide.
This stance creates a crisis for certification previously unimaginable and will not be easy for Boeing to overcome. Its roots go back to before the crashes of Lion Air Flight 610 and Ethiopian Airlines Flight 302.

Even if Boeing and the FAA care little for our safety, other do. Of course, China will follow suit as well.
Hero Capt Sully Comments:
But now, our credibility as leaders in aviation is being damaged. Boeing and the FAA have been found wanting in this ugly saga that began years ago but has come home to roost with two terrible fatal crashes, with no survivors, in less than five months, on a new airplane type, the Boeing 737 Max 8, something that is unprecedented in modern aviation history.

So nothing. Thought you may see it as good news.
Jet Airways broke. Planes grounded (no money)
https://www.bbc.com/news/business-47626409
Doubtful they will ever take delivery of the 220 planes they ordered
Slow and steady is good
I really appreciate the discussion today and I am glad that boo boo is on. Always good to have people on who are not long the stock. First, the board can get a bit stale with just longs. Second, the reality is, no stock always goes up/down forever. From time to time I have felt obligated to point out when I felt the technicals were showing a pullback. Sometimes, folks see this as being negative on a stock but I see it as nothing more than factual reporting.
I do not day trade. When I look at technicals, it is over a period of 6+ months. I use RSI,Williams% as well as Fib and compare them to stock specific historical performance against those data points as well as support and resistance levels. I say all of this because I am seeing that we are overbought and could pullback and I expect us to. One thing we have going for us is, for the past week, we have big end of the day buying (settling). This has pushed us where we are today. Funds pushing us up at the end of the day as they settle the days trading has been great but at some point, our volume will drop due to lack of news. We are in that dead time between earnings. We have held up exceptionally well compared to previous quarters, where we have consistently fallen during the period between earnings.
I am not shorting but will sell some more covered calls if I can get the right price. I want to be clear, I am not negative on NGL in anyway. I point this out because sometimes, people get snippy when I post this stuff. I will also say, dont trade on anything I post, I am just putting out my thoughts and ideas.
Interesting video about 737 Max and its issues
Shows liability. Article shows what Boeing did not disclose even after the 1st crash
https://www.cnbc.com/2018/11/13/lion-air-crash-boeing-withheld-information-on737-max-planes-wsj-says.html
I respect you coming on the board with your technical play. Some of us poked a bit of fun but it was not mean spirited. I am glad you did not short and I hope you stick around. No stock goes up forever and I always appreciate it when someone flags a situation where the stock may reverse.
I bought stock on a gut feeling but not day traded. My last 650 shares of NGL were bought because of a feeling. We had no reason to go down that far and I was thinking about buying but did not until the shorts came on the boards and started posting garbage. That told me my feeling to buy was correct and it was.
Long time ago, lost my ass. Taught me a lesson
Gut feelings = Emotions. Emotions are bad for trading stock. I use fundamental analysis to identify stocks and technical analysis to identify buy and sell points.
I dont day trade but am not adverse to doing trading.
I love the shorts. Every time they post on the board, it seems to be an indicator of bottom and we rise.
Just because someones opinion is, with the proper training pilots could have dealt with malfunctioning software, that only highlights two failures. First and foremost, that bad software can be program and installed, resulting in the loss of hundreds of lives. Second, Pilots need to be trained to handle bad software that results in command inputs that result in the plane crashing and the loss of hundreds of lives.
While a software problem may seem like the best case scenario for Boeing, it is actually the worst. People can understand mechanical issues or complex design changes resulting in unforeseen consequences, What people will not be able to understand is, how Boeing continued to have planes fly when they knew a software problem was the issue. Everyone knows they have been working of "fixing" the software for months. Why were planes allowed to fly when Boeing had not launched the software fix? That is a rhetorical question.
If Software was the problem, Boeing will lose the ability to blame the FAA. The FAA will no doubt say that the software failure was after they had approved the 737 max for use and they had no ability to anticipate this kind of problem. Of course they will say they checked with Boeing who assured them that the software issues were not critical to the safety of the aircraft.
Good because my German is decent, my French is better so feel free to post French news stories. Going to the website you provided, a story from 2 min ago saying:
Nach dem Absturz einer Boeing 737 MAX in Äthiopien forschen Experten nach der Absturzursache - dabei gerät immer mehr die Software der Maschine unter Verdacht.
experts investigate the cause of the crash - and the machine's software is increasingly suspected.
Unless I made a mistake in translation.
So, not training or pilot error.
