This falls in the realm of technical analysis aka chart reading (one of my favorite things). Once you understand the lingo and chart patterns you can use such sites as stockcharts.com or stockfetcher.com to scan for whatever pattern you are looking.

Hey everyone. Been away with work for a couple weeks, get to play for one day (tomorrow) so just trying to get my head around what the treat of the day / week is. Just figured I'd pop in and say hi to all my ATA brothers and sisters.

That's exactly why I go there. Even though this board plays with a level head, unfortunately the ticker boards end up with a lot of the traders who will ultimately cause the pps to go up or down. Always good to get a feel for the emotion of the larger groups who enmasse can affect the outcome.

Yeah, the whole thing was very benign.

Oh they eventually put out emails but not until the majority of traders had found out and had already jumped in. Seems to me it was many hours if not days after the banner went up that the first email went out.

If I recall correctly they didn't even alert GWBU... The banner just showed up on their site. No emails or tweets. A lot of conspiracy theorists were saying the site was hacked since there was no formal alert. That and it just came off the heels of the RAR$ debacle.

It seriously didn't dawn on me while I was taking pics of this that perhaps there was some place else (ala basement) I should be instead. The sound was amazing. I'll never forget it.... I also have a Questrade account. I think it's $6.99 - $9.99 depending on what you're trading. I don't use them very often though, usually only for more expensive swing trades. I find they are slow to execute. But the price is right.
