One thing I thought was good was that one of the prototypes that was sent was sent to previous prototype customer that was interested in additional parts, etc.
LOL. Love it. Thx
Curious if this anything to do with the Investor's meeting last month in California with The Southern California Investment Forum (SCIF).
Looking forward to hearing from our moles then.. !. :)
Are there any dial-in numbers today?
Forbes re-hash... Looks like it may have contributed to the last few hours of buying:
http://www.forbes.com/sites/greatspeculations/2012/06/22/apple-locks-in-liquidmetal-for-two-more-years/
Playing devil's advocate here.. If I signed a contract that rewarded me (any) amount of money, why do I then put out a press release saying what it was?.. I would think that would be a tad bit manipulative to the pps. I would disclose it like I am legally bound to do in the proper fashion. It seems some people are either anxious to get out of the stock at the price they bought in (above .40) or anxious to make a quick buck. Go Long..
Today's trading is an obvious sign of uninformed day-traders taking profits or selling in fear. The FACT is that we don't know what consideration has been given to LQMT for the 2-year extension. Suffice to say, they WOULD NOT extend intellectual rights for 2 more years past the last MTA time-frame without SOMETHING in return.. would you??
Some things are now becoming clear:
1. Visser's role in the future of LQMT is much larger than thought
2. Apple's role has not gone away
3. Competition is clearly trying to bate with their latest release
4. The recent video combined with recent announcement confirms that Apple is VERY interested in current patents being developed by LQMT since February 2012.
5. The tight-lipped response on the investor call regarding Apple was due to an on-going negotiation that hadn't closed yet.
6. Visser's ramping posture precludes an assumed production increase
7. Dilusion isn't something to fret as it is a small amount and quite possibly meant to stave off a hostile buy-out since, by the looks of things, Apple will be contributing more $$ to LQMT for the 2 year extension and Visser has taken care of the debt issues.
8. We are very close to the final testing stage of at least 3 different samples.
All that said, I'm long on this and very encouraged by the events of the past couple of days.
You're right.. my mistake. Sorry about that. I'll delete if I can.
Here's the original article:

Watts.. How long after the AHSM after the vote to increase shares would we see decreased value of the outstanding shares? Right away or after they are sold/given to whomever? Rookie question I know..
Help me out here.. My understanding of the MTA was that Apple has exclusivity on all LMT intellectual property during the term of that agreement in perpetuity. Meaning, anything developed during that time (i.e. patented) would be Apples to use forever. BUT, anything after that, would be open game. So, the extension gives Apple another two years of exclusive bi-lateral access to the intellectual property correct?.. That, it would only seem, should come at a cost... Am I off here?

I would think there would be a monetary incentive to extend the agreement for two more years wouldn't there? Something we won't know until the 10Q is filed or, perhaps, the AHSM.
I think a lot of the shorts got out this week..

Should be telling in what Visser has planned for LQMT. My guess, his agenda has a lot to do with NASCAR and racing in general.
Good way to start the day... Shared with my Facebook friends & family. Something to keep in mind with all of that day-to-day up's & downs..
LOL.. Good exchanges on the board today. I'm learning a lot. It's interesting to see how this guy so blatantly show's his site on the video right after Tim's clear message about cracking down on the exact same thing. Regardless, there's more to the picture that meets the eye. I'll be glad when all of the Apple hype is over so we can focus on real profits and production of parts with an ongoing revenue stream. Visser will be the key.
Great post. My thoughts as well. It seems people are expecting a shiny finish but this is clearly LM looking. Very nice as well.
This is just a sample of what a "VC" / Venture Captialist goes through to make an investment let alone a partnership like Visser...

Exactly.. There's a new sheriff in town.. even if he's not wearin the badge..
I, for one, find this to be very positive and an indication that production/profits/customers are around the corner. Those who've read the past 1,000 posts as I have know that this has been a topic of conversation and dd. Watts, good call sir!.. Now, let's get that Navy contract closed!.. :)
Saw this on Google Finance
Interesting news about investor forum meeting hosting new potential investors in Southern CAL which includes LQMT as one of their primary investment opportunities
http://galaxystocks.com/23998/press-releases/southern-california-investment-forum-hosts-an-investor-gathering-friday-june-1-at-the-pacific-club-in-newport-beach/
Ammunition listed as the R&D "additional work" project.. A perfect use of the technology with potential continuing & growing revenue stream. Great find especially if this is at the final stages of testing. Q3 could see some nice announcements.
Well said. Although I would like more public disclosure, there are variables at play that I simply may never know. Based only on shear speculation and observance of this stock over the past month or so, I'm leaning toward there being a number of things keeping management from public disclosure until ink is on paper. We'll see..
I hadn't seen these mock-ups yet:

Apologies in advance if these were posted earlier
No surprise for me. Glad to hear they have working prototypes and the ability to mass produce moving forward. That's HUGE... That said, don't down-play the importance of Aerospace. BILLIONS spent there. Even if just one of the three mentioned were in this list it's huge!

This one posted about NASA Tech a few days ago on PCWorld with a mention of Liquid Metal..
http://www.pcworld.com/article/253684/thank_you_space_how_nasa_tech_makes_life_better_on_earth.html
Interesting NASA article updated April 12th, 2012.. Not sure if it's the same Liquid Metal but thought I'd post to see if anyone may know.

If one takes the press release on March 6th at face value noting that it contains past and forward statements toward the end of Q1 pertaining to increased shipments of product, and additional product, one can easily come to the outlook that Q1 results will show growth over prior quarters. Add-in the additional DD and results from partners, and things begin to solidify. Just waiting for the verification.. :)

Good stuff Mr. Watts
This.. We would like to see. Sr. Watts..

Wow.. Now that's cool.
Curious how they would separate the LQ parts from a case if only pieces of it were LQ.
I'm sure someone has this figured out. :)
Thanks Watts!
Interested in learning more about LM's ability to be recycled and environmental impact. Came across this article on Wiki regarding Natural Resources Economics:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Natural_resource_economics#cite_note-23
Trend towards perpetual resources
As radical new technology impacts the materials and minerals world more and more powerfully, the materials used are more and more likely to have perpetual resources. There are already more and more materials that have perpetual resources and less and less materials that have nonrenewable resources or are strategic and critical materials. Some materials that have perpetual resources such as salt, stone, magnesium, and common clay were mentioned previously. Thanks to new technology, synthetic diamonds were added to the list of perpetual resources, since they can be easily made from a lump of carbon. Another form of carbon, synthetic graphite, is made in large quantities (graphite electrodes, graphite fiber) from carbon precursors such as petroleum coke or a textile fiber. A firm named Liquidmetal Technologies, Inc. is utilizing the removal of dislocations in a material with a technique that overcomes performance limitations caused by inherent weaknesses in the crystal atomic structure. It makes amorphous metal alloys, which retain a random atomic structure when the hot metal solidifies, rather than the crystalline atomic structure (with dislocations) that normally forms when hot metal solidifies. These amorphous alloys have much better performance properties than usual; for example, their zirconium-titanium Liquidmetal alloys are 250% stronger than a standard titanium alloy. The Liquidmetal alloys can supplant many high performance alloys.[24]
It looks to me that whoever purchased the huge amount of shares on the 3rd was looking for a quick pop and didn't get it so they decided to start dumping them instead of waiting like everyone else does on this stock.
:)..
Great advice sir. 1-7 mostly done and still working
The rest.. careful stop-losses in place. :)
