Good point and thanks for info almost got sucked into the abyss again.
Hello to all of my coinvestors who are in the red deep. I'm back like a rash. There is continual talk of India's crisis as being a watershed event for our current global economic condition.
With this being said, I hope to see compliant coal from the horizon mine producing and selling to these emerging economies. This is the only way to avoid outages of this magnitude. India, China and other Countries are clamoring for the cheapest sourced E they can get their growing hands on.
I hope that AWSR shows improving sales now that regulatory and mining setbacks are behind them. A little love from the penny gossips would not be a bad omen either. Glad to be back hope we can correct and move towards mid 50's this quarter.
Great news
The most disturbing thing about this situation is that these inside big market makers already preordained this path.
I really tried to wrap my research around the positive aspects of this company with regards to its business model. But to continue to throw out secondary potential information (ie environmental advantage and percent utilization increase) rubs me the wrong way.
Insiders aren't out money as their stock options are just a bonus. I guess this is what is typically known as "capitulation"
First things 1st: get rid of the E and report. Then see why and what happened. Right now there's nothing to lead anyone to this brand of KOOL AID IMHO.
How anyone at this point can be less than disgusted by the company's no information policy is beyond comprehension. I see that I was retarded to get into this mess as a newbie but to continue to support the company as "being real" or giving it any merit after this week is beyond my comprehension.
Simply put: If one remembers February there was no window for anyone but insiders and shorts to capitilize on that move. I have been schooled here and can only hope to learn...... I hope others the same.
This is too funny and as a beginner very true....
Does anybody have an idea when the E will be dropped? Is the 10K complete now?
China and the environment. The biggest deterrent to China's growth is pollution.... They are slowly understanding that it's in their best interest to keep emissions and air quality low in their Cities. You can't live anywhere but Singapore right now due to this prevailing condition.
Compliant (low Sulfur/ High BTU) coal in conjunction with improved air pollution technology is a driver for emerging and developing economies. They want to their E as cheap as possible and don't have political issues like US.
Fact: Coal is the number once source of air pollution in China. China gets 80 percent of electricity and 70 percent its total energy from coal, much of it polluting high-sulphur coal. Around six million tons of coal is burned everyday to power factories, heat homes and cook meals. Expanding car ownership, heavy traffic and low-grade gasoline have made cars a leading contributor to the air pollution problem in Chinese cities.
Smells like... looks like... and sounds like a takeover candidate for the likes of major Asian conglomerate. Nobody takes losses and holds without some forward indication that there is gold in them there hills. Denly's track record (no pun intended) speaks for itself.
No stock will perform to one's will and therefore selling on the way up is the only way to insure real money is made.
Spoke with management and they said results look good. Aurizon is good with agreement. Im freeing up other assets and buying in @.35 anytime I can get it
Half Full: China will recover from their mild recession soon with a predicted soft landing. They'll be begging for this coal.
Coal and Sulfur. My Lime supplier took us to lunch as he was doing client maintenance in Florida. He confirmed that Clean Air Act is requiring lower Sulfur Dioxide emissions which is a driver for his company (southern lime). He also confirmed strong growth internationally for both lime and coal.
Low Sulfur compliant coal with High BTU value as that from Horizon mine is a valuable commodity. More efficient mining practice interconnecting channels using in house pillars and new wildcat loadout will make Horizon mine productivity rise. China isn't concerned with E ratings from Sarbane Oxley requirements. 10 K will be released on their time.
Compliant Coal: viable production for years to come. Much of this coal is compliant with emission regulations for Sulfur and trace elements of environmental concern set by the Clean Air Act and administered by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Production of clean and compliant coal has been increasing in recent years, a trend that is expected to continue.
What happened IMHO is that the move was too quick catching attention of regulators and they withdrew. Also backed up by CE on OTC board.
This spooked pumpers and they didn't look back after quick withdrawal. JMHO.
candles show upward trend with some #ss. we should be at 30 v. soon.
I keep reading solid company. But common sense tells me to look at what is going on in the real world. US is not coal friendly and China is in a slump. OK but this coal is special. Well lets investigate that, what makes this coal special carries contingincies. What do I mean? OK look at the bottom line with no new coal fired cogen plants being permitted in US and a staggering suffering emerging market where's the beef?
A solid company? Only when compared to a fly by night PO box company. Everythings relative. I got schooled here and can't believe the patience and humility of investors that keep doubling down. I would rather stick a pick in my eye b4 making this my mainstay for future.
All this said, I'm a horrible investor meaning we should see this POS jump to 1.00 by week's end. God bless and don't let the door hit you where the good lord split you.
With enough time and pressure the carbon cycle ends with diamonds which we are all hoping AWSR becomes.
AWSR Horizon practice of room and pillar mining with the acquired wildcat loadout is positive for increased percent utilization.
Higher production means better returns to shareholders.
Looks like this high BTU/Low Sulfur coal is a hit.
Even this administration can't stop production of AWSR's low cost solution to the US Energy problem. I hope....
My public apologies I only recieved a B in Thermodynamics. But the absolute and -273 were all pointing in the correct direction. Whats a degree or two b/w friends.
Interesting point straghtsix about the 10-K. You think this room full of chatter, speculation, rumor milling would make this a focal point. Let's take a look at what we can findout about this matter.
what is the 10-K?
Answr: Annual report due to SEC with more comprehensive data than annual report to include company history, organizational structure, equity, holdings, earnings per share etc...
What typically happens when delayed 10-K reporting? When researching it was startling how many China related company's delayed.
Conclusion: Delay may be caused by China delay. Or I'm just blowing more CO2 in air for our administration to fine me with.
China and US don't do business the same way. Remember they are Communist creditors that Uncle Sam is indebted. Hope this helps as it really doesn't anwer much other than confirm China deal is real....possibly......
absolute zero is -273 Kelvin coincidence. Me thinks not
Hey Blue are you talking Kelvin? or Celsius or Farenheit? :)
I agree with you about SLV and precious metals and love me my junior gold mines like NioGold NOXGF. Up over 40% in 2 years located along what is considered the Golden Highway of Canada you can't go wrong.
But to address your question of "how it will play out" there's no doubt that if our nation wants energy independence Coal will be a significant contributor to its strategy. As I discussed yesterday about gasification (conversion to diesel) and transportation fueling the rails, Coal will become an energy source in high demand.
Today we unfortunately have to face the wreckage of the BP Spill and the fearmongering that environmentalist have propogandized.
I have to refute the growing demand for coal. As I have tried to make point: "there will not be any coal fired electric plants built in North America for the forseeable future. This is a manifestation of our administration putting the regulatory hammer down on the industry.
With that being said ASWR Horizon Coal offers the two benefits that carry intrinsic increased value which are low sulfur content with relatively high BTU. This is unusual in that part of the woods as Mid West Coal is sub Bituminous with much lower BTU value.
LOL while feeling the pain
Let the bloodletting continue. AWSR will be trips b4 long and pple like myself will have nothing left but nitemares 2 remember this POS experience
I'm not selling and expect to earn a nice return. I enjoy the banter and believe in this company, regardless of money. As you all who know me, I'm not a money guy but rather focus on the fundamentals.
Fundamentals are what drive the business. When I think of coal I see opportunity with coal. If oil stopped flowing coal could fuel the trains to move product and be converted to diesel.
And if I lose I did my best to understand and explain more than anybody else on this board as to the reasoning behind my decision.
Anthony I'm in at much higher cost and not pumping. There is substantial and real progress such as the load out facility and percent production utilization numbers increasing.
I got duped by APS and will never play another penney again. But in the meantime I did learn alot about the business and industry. When dealt lemons make a little lemonade. Do you take real or synthetic sweetner?
Followup to Coal Gasification: The end product that is not combusted (ash) has a high fertilizer value which can create new green jobs and used a method to offset Carbon Tax.
One ton of high grade Horizon Coal can be converted to 90 gallons of diesel and other selective hydrocarbon end product.
Makes sense to me as our options are becoming more limited each day....
Coal to Diesel and the Iranian/N. Korean Threat:
1) Iranian centrifuges keeps spinning
2) Baby Kim Jong Il wants to play with his toy rockets
Each day brings us closer to a forced alternative E source.
One hiccup and we will need to consider the coal conversion seriously:
The process involves the selective removal of hydrogen ions from the current catalytic technology Fischer-Tropsch. This advancement allows for efficient conversion of high grade low sulfur coal (like that from AWSR's Horizon Mine) into diesel or other hydrocarbon end products.
Coal should be in our future Energy Plan that is if the US had one. The US has the most abundant quantity of all nations but carries stifling environmental regulations for both its mining and combustion.
High grade (low Sulfur/High BTU) Horizon Mine coal will be in demand just possibly not in the US.
Current Administration is doing their best to kill the coal industry. Why? There will be rolling black/brown outs throughout the Country. EPA proposes new maximum acheivable control technologies (MACT).
"Incinerators would face stricter emissions limits for mercury, lead, cadmium, hydrogen chloride, PM, CO, dioxins/furans, NOx, and sulfur dioxide. They would also be required to perform stack tests and consistent monitoring along with annual inspections of emissions control equipment."
High BTU/Low sulfur content coal will be in high demand when compared to the eastern bituminous coal sources. Emissions levels are going to reach unnattainable levels forcing coal fired generators to seek the cleanest precursor (coal) they can find with a cost effective BTU Value.
AWSR's Horizon Mine Coal meets that criteria.
With CE gone no reason for the investors to fear the boogy man.
Low Sulfur coal with a high BTU value and convenient loadout railing transportation yeilds affordable, reliable, clean burning energy for utilities in US as well as China and world.
BTY Value Horizon Mine is 1250 vs 850 on average in Wyoming.
0.7% Sulfur vs. 4-9 % S from Eastern US. Horizon's Bituminous Coal from the Utha should command a premium over both its easter and western bretheren for these reasons.
Remembering always that bad past quarters are future quarter earnings best friend when comparisons are in consideration. All indications is that there is a turn around.
The fact that there was a time when AWSR was near or at the point of bankruptcy usually causes company's to get stronger and smarter. From the mouth of the great Kelly Clarkson "What doesn't kill ya makes ya stronger"
To highlight the S7 post I have copied the following financial line items for those like me that are sometimes too lazy to open a link.
AWSR
Compared to Q3, 2010,
?Q3 Coal Sales increased 27.34% to $3,591,604
?Q3 Total Operating Expenses decreased 11.42% to $5,498,819
?Q3 Loss from Operations decreased 43.65% to $1,904,967
The 9 months ended September 30, 2011 compared to the same period for 2010,
?Coal Sales increased 51.62% to $11,060,347
?Total Operating Expenses increased 9.35% to $16,384,245
?Loss from Operations decreased 30.94% to $5,296,194
Bottom Line: This is a turn around story for real like Blue keeps reiterating "ad infinitum". There's money in that mine if your constitution is strong.
Good Morning AWSR supporters (Ace and Blue)
I have a pop quiz to try to get all on board to understand benefit of Horizon Mine coal.
1) What is meant by compliant coal? What element is this coal low in when comparing to east coast coal?
2) What is the regulation that governs green house gas emissions as issued by EPA in 70's? What is going on with the rule as of current to give advantage to AWSR Horizon Coal?
3) What compound is used to remove the element in the answer to question 1? What is the problem behind the use of this chemical?
4) a) Which has a higher BTU value Bituminous or Subbitinous Coal. b) Is horizon Bit or Sub bit?
4a) Which is more typical out west (bit or subbit)?
5) What problems do lower BTU coal cause?
6) What advancements in technology have AWSR imlemented in the Horizon ming? What advantages do they offer? (Hint: See Video)
7) What is the average insider price as per the last quarterly statement?
8) Name two big contracts underway. Hint research Blues posts.
All of these answers will lead you to understand why Blue is so high on AWSR.
Have a great week I will busy at work but will check in as much as I can cause I am a friend of AWSR.
Not to Overlook the obvious advantage: Higher BTU value less coal needed to be burned, greater saving.
ASWR Horizon Mines High BTU Advantage: Along with the benefit of having a high BTU Bituminous Coal with low sulfur and moisture there is another benefit. When combustion of ASWR Horizon Mines Coal is accomplished it leaves a carbonaceous residue known as ASH which is not as gunky as the lower BTU containing coals. .
The lower sulfur subbituminous coals commonly found out west like most of Wyoming produces an ash which notoriously gunks up surfaces inside boilers leading to overheating and leaks. This costs utilities huge amounts of money and labor. Horizon coal won't create this messy sticky problem.
High BTU low Sulfur coal like that from AWSR's Horizon mine burns hotter creating a more manageable drier Ash for the Utility Company. The material can be then be sold for its carbon content.
Blue, we should be seeing a huge interest once this story breaks. It toook me a matter of a few days to uncover why Union Pac would be interested. I wish y'all take what i'm saying and use it to your advantage. This is not you mamas coal, its got legs and will kill at the marketplace. Hence AWSR makes for a great takeover target.
Enjoy and drink responsibly....
ASWR has a special blend coal whic contains high energy (BTU Value) and low sulfur content, (cleaner) which adds up to large margin sales. Read my posts and learn the real story behind Horizon Mines. Then read our pumpers hype and cheer for good measure.
Its like a beer chaser (fluffy unsubstantiated pumps) after a shot of crown (real content about AWSR's Coal) for you Irish folks on St. Patties day.
