Seriously? Let this garbage stock get below .04 before you buy. Just my opinion. It might hit .01 or less because of the dilution. This ain’t investing. It’s gambling.
JMO.
“We are no longer mushrooms,”
Well said.
Everyone let's please get the facts straight! NASDAQ-LQMT.
LQMT ipo'ed on the NAS at $15 back in 01-02. It's not an astonishing accomplishment obviously. Nor is it a large step above the pinks. Since, LQMT has subsequently found itself at a well deserved home on the OTC.
Just saying. No offense. Just my opinions
Dude. LQMT gonna be .30 by September 2016. Or was it $5? I don't remember. Love the train wreck in prof. Funny.
So. How big are the new LQMT digs? How much production can the space handle? I am thinking they will have contracts soon. Just wondering if those contracts will actually create enough revenue to justify the already priced in YUUUUGGGGE market cap? They really need to justify that MC soon. But traders will momo anything. It's the mob mentality. It's all about trading and make $.
How does the new LQMT manufacturing facility compare to Visser"s mom and pop machine shop?. Dang that Furniture Row race team is killing it. Can you understand how big that is? I wonder how much profit his winning race car is pulling down. Wow that Visser has a pretty incredible track record in life. Seems like he dumped LQMT tho. But. Y'all got Li. Seems like a good guy too. I dunno.
Anyway. Just my opinions and best of luck.
"If you are Li, in what stock could you invest $65m that has greater multiple potential than this new wonder material with the patent monopoly ?
He might be rich, but does he have the same recognition as other billionaires such as Musk, Zuckerberg, Gates ?
For rich people, Fame and legacy is much more important than bank balance.
Rige. I'm just trying too be real. You throw around all of those names. (Musk, Zuch and Gates) the infamous and admired people who've evolved the technology of our time, yet they are all in unrelated technology sectors to materials. Such is the sector where LQMT belongs.
You didn't even bother to mention Leo Baekeland. He is known for inventing synthetic polymers. Plastic. It's all around us bro yet. He gets very little recognition for his "legacy". Because polymers are an ever evolving material. Ask Watts his name.
Anyway bro. I'm EXCITED to see that LQMT is FINALLY! Evolving and has a master to move this tech forward. I am just measuredly realistic about how big this material can be in the real world. Commercialized. But, I don't know. So. I am just hanging around to see. I don't need to be right all the time.
Leo's patents were from like 1907. Plastic is all around us. IT'S EVERYWHERE! Ask ENGEL! And continues to evolve. And there are literally too many polymer formulaoptioms, along with so many other material options to even mention. Graphene, carbon fiber, aluminum etc.
Just my opinions and trying to keep it real. Good luck to you. I actually kind of like you in an internet way. I'll give ya a follow. Best of life ain't bout the legacy of money. It's what you give. I kinda like Li too tho. I think he has passion for LQMT and BMG. I'm an internet way that is. Seriously. Best of luck in your dreams.
Mr. Li has had money. I mean, I personally, well my instincts anyway, tells me. Hes driven by passion for proving BMG. To prove the viability of Liquidmetal and it's place in the material world. If he was only driven by greed. He could have invested his fortune in other venues. Increased his wealth.
I just don't think he needs a lotto ticket.
To what extent he will be successful commercializing LQMT remains to be seen. I'm excited to see the outcome after all these years. And certainly this is a better lotto than ever before.
The degree of success tho. It could be big or mediocre. Lotto.
Just my opinions and don't mean squat. good luck on your lottos to all of us.
Good call. Did you trade and lower your risk? Or still all in waiting on the big payday? Just curious. Thanks and again. Good call on the bounce.
Just my opinions.
You have to understand. I am a former daytrader. I understand the mechanisms and wisdom that drive the market. It's all good home boy. You placed your chips. Let's see what happens.
I think a momo could happen. Charts. But, I've been wrong before. You gonna trade this junk for 20-30%. It's on you what you do. Best of luck.
Just my opinions.
I ain't buying this junk. I wouldn't feel
Right. I would need an acid bath to be having been associated with this pos.
It could momo tho.
Just my opinions and best of luck.
I have to admit. This is holding up better than I thought. Hmmm.
Wondering if the traders are accumulating for a momo? I dunno. Just guessing. MMs can do miraculous things. They almost always win too. So. Hmmm.
Good luck to you all. U Hope you make a million dolla's.
Just my opinions.
No. What I am suggesting is that Apple, with all that cash needs to continue to focus on the "SOFTWARE" that makes people love smart phones. I mean throwing around a few pennies here and there to research using a material like Liquidmetal for a DUMB encasement is fine. They have that cash to burn. Putting peeps to work. Jobs(no pun intended, RIP brotha). But, like MSFT did back in the day, GOOG may exploit any and every Apple weakness to gain smart phone market share.
btw. I have fond memories of rotary dial kind of in a nostalgic way. It was cool from back in the day. Relic.
Have you heard the rumor? That iPhone may be omitting the home button in the future? Just a rumor but makes perfect sense. Move away from mechanics and just use the software. The tech we love is all about the "SOFTWARE" and not the freeking dumb case. Made from Liquidmetal or not! How many peeps from the past claimed that home button was made with Liquidmetal? Logo?
Sorry. This Liquidmetal is still niche and will be until, like I said in the post you responded to. It finds a way to benefit products by being a more advantageous choice in dumb encasing "MATERIALS". That simply just encase. Perhaps Li can can make the brand great. That would be a selling point. Or make the product cheaper. People love cheaper "SMART" "SOFTWARE" products. A dumb Liquidmetal case ain't gonna make it smarter. Just like I stated in that prior post. Only an Old Relic remembers rotary phones. I think they're cool. Ugh.
Just my opinions.
Yes sir. Baltic moving may create a great opportunitu for DRYS to further dilute investors into oblivion. Yet again!
DRYS gotta have that money yo.
Just my opinions. Keeping it real and chill.
It's actually holding up well today in my opinion.
If you bought DRYS at $1 before the reverse split in January. Less than 2 months ago. Factoring out the reverse split of the shares. $1.26(present day price) well. Had they not done the reverse split your present would would be .1575. Considering the 1 for 8 reverse split, you would actually need $8 just to break even if you bought at $1 prior to that reverse split less than 2 months ago.
Now if you bought back in 2007. At it's ten year high. You would need a shareprice of $1.517,418.25 just to break even. Because of all the dilution and reverse splits over the years.
For today's shareholders at some point, seeing a nickel a share(whether through dilution or factoring a possible future reverse split), .05 is more believable for me than $5. But, I've been wrong before so. Good luck to you.
Just my opinion and data is from CNBC app.
Really? WOW! Imagine that! DRYS diluting shareholders. WOW! What a shame. Who wudda think they would do that?
Just my opinions. No pity for bagholders that didn't bother to do 5 minutes worth of DD. Assuming the miracle doesn't come and they just keep diluting and eventually do another reverse split. Good luck to you friend. There may be a lesson in this experience for you.
I just don't see Apple using Liquidmetal until it is more cost effective to do so. These things are incredible expensive now days. Liquidmetal in my view does not add value to the smart phone experience unless. It makes it cheaper to purchase.
Stronger, lighter and thinner? To me. The iPhone is already tiny thin and the screen is the weakest link. Not the outer shell made from plastic or aluminum. The glass in the iPhone 4 was pretty but, made the outer case as fragile as the screen. Which I cracked on my own 4. I would not want a glass back case. Tho I havent searched any data to judge how strong present day glass tech and how strong it is.
I myself will probably be purchasing a new iPhone this year. I will choose an iPhone over the competitors simply because I have owned one so long and am very satisfied with the iPhone. I'm getting old so all this new technology(software) has finally surpassed this old geeks capacity or interest, to take advantage of all these new fangled bells and whistles.
Personally. I honestly want plastic. Not smooth and shiny, but contoured plastic like what the original iPhones were made from. It had a better tactile feel and was not slippery like the 5s I am using now. Although I don't think they will go back to plastic. Not present day Apple. But, I am about the products usefulness and purty does not impress me in a smart phone.
This is subjective to me tho. And I only buy 1 smart so.. they probably are not going to design a product around what this zombie desires.
Liquidmetal needs to find its niche. Like all of us, it's all about what is best suited for our individual talents. I wasn't kidding yesterday when I posted about branding. That is essential in my view until it is cheaper to manufacture products using Liquidmetal. It's unique properties, stronger, thinner, bouncy or whatever are niche properties that the majority or products would probably not benefit from over using the other available material choices.
Nevertheless. Apple is wierd and kinda likes to use niche stuff so who knows. Maybe they are still exploring using BMG. I don't really know.
As always. Just my opinions.
It's kind of a bad sign that daytraders don't even care about DRYS any longer. They don't seem to be interested in the momo of this POS! Continued dilution will sink this further into oblivion. Maybe I am wrong but, PROVABLY NOT!
No pity for bag holding. 5 minutes of DD would have saved the chronic bagholders. Looking at a simple ten year chart would have saved you.
Just my opinions! Best of luck to you. At least learn from this bagholding experience.
All news is just to pump this POS up so they can sell more dilution to the suckers willing to buy this junk knowing the dilute then reverse split scheme they been doing for almost a decade.
You have earned the stuck holding this POS badge of honor sir. You are a well deserved bag holder sir.
All just my opinions.
NO PITY FOR DRYS BAGHOLDERS!
It's showing $1.26 now. You know the deal. Simple DD tells the tale of DRYS. If you buy and get stuck holding well. It does not make you a chronic victim! No pity for losers that get stuck in this junk.
Hope you win though. Just saying. They've done this over and over again. This DRYS get rich quick scheme probably ain't gonna work out for you.
Just my opinions you don't care about. NO PITY FOR DRYS BAG HOLDERS!
NO PITY FOR THE BAGHOLDERS!
Nah. Losing money to save 20-30% on your gains is still stupid. I'm a former daytrader. Like poker, it ran its course in my life. Kinda. I will still trade from time to time. Assuming I live through my current adventures long enough to get back in the game. And IF I may still have the determination and focus(not lazy) to inspire me. I think your assimily of "bean counters" actually means chronic intellectual masturbators of dreaming of ways to get over. Make it sound like it's advantageous when they lose.
DRYS. The revelation of the downside you've been shown. Win or lose. I hope you take something from this experience. And you've qualified your experience with losing through your poker and other gambling venues. You know what losing means.
No pity for gambling bagholders. If this does not work out for you.
Just my opinion and good luck sir.
WAIT TILL AFTER RS TO TRADE THIS JUNK AGAIN! Remember they piled on at $1 before the last reverse split! Now they need $8 just for break even!
Just my opinions.
Gamble this at your on risk! No pity for bagholders that get stuck in this junk! Whiners will not be heard!
Just my opinions.
Obviously you are aware of the downside. So. Good luck to you.
Personally I'm an old hippy type of guy. I want everyone to win always. It's just that the history for DRYS investors should not include EPIC(in a good way) or terms such as winning. It's been a big time chronic loser for investors for a long long time.
Going long DRYS is like going all in on the poker table with a Brunson. Hey. He won with that junk. It's a long shot. Maybe you can also win with this DRYS junk.
Just my opinion and I really hope you win over all those many that have lost over the years who made the same gamble.
Well. Ya see it's also reputation in the history of how DRYS has done business over the years. They have literally destroyed the investment value of their own stock over and over again. Dilute, reverse split and repeat. And. Chances are well?
But, maybe longs are right. Maybe they will change. Still. Those who bought even just last November when it ran from like $4 to over $100 will probably never see that money again. Even if you were in at $4 last October, less than 6 months ago that investor would need to see $32 just for a break even. Because of the 1 for 8 reverse split.
All ain't that rosey in DRYS world.
Just my opinions and best of luck.
I agree. The DRYS ticker is well branded out to traders/gamblers and especially shorts. I used change meaning maybe they will be satisfied by this latest round of dilution and try to actually become a real investible company. Do real business how legit companies do.
Just my opinions.
I know. I am confounded that this could even happen over and over again on the NAZ. <wtf> <scratching head>.
It's really kinda funny tho. Ya see. It happens b cause people are greedy lol. So. It's really just kinda funny.
DRYS. Maybe they will change this time tho. lmao.
Just my opinions.
The kicker is. Why even sell at near the same price you buy more DRYS at if you think epic(in a good way) things will happen for the stock PPS? Either just hold what you got. Average down(add on would be the poker term). Or just sell it and move on and claim the loss. It might offset some of your gains but, it will only save a few bucks and won't recoup but a small percent of your overall loss.
Losing or giving away money to claim a tax break never makes much sense to me.
Makes about as much sense as DRYS giving out a very small dividend using a tiny percentage of the same money's raised via dilutive financing that has caused the plummeting shareprice.
Huh?
Just my opinions.
Well if history repeats, that may also mean EPIC losses <yet again> for longs. At least since 2007.
Or. And it may be a long shot. Perhaps shareholders could experience a moderate gain assuming DRYS changes its ways and stops the seemingly never endding cycle of diluting shareholders into oblivion then doing reverse split. Rinse. Repeat.
Anything is possible I guess. Probability seems very low tho.
Just my opinions and best of luck.
Divy was announced at much higher prices and it went above $2. It's a $1.37 now. lol.
Anybody know what the outstanding will be when they payout the divy?
If the divy is $2.5 million divided by the number of outstanding shares how much will each shareholder receive.
It's still beyond me how a company can raise cash through dilutive financing and use some of that money to pay back to shareholders. It makes no sense except to pump the ever fading share price caused by diluting the same shareholders holdings. Oh well.
Shorts still making money since the announcement. Longs not so much.
Just my opinions and best of luck.
Haha. Why only so close? Often we assume others may want "the life that completes us". And in the hierarchy of things in many cases we may be right.
I was chatting with a person a decade or so older than me, like 62 the other day. He was reading in his New Testament. And warned me that it's all gonna end soon. Revelation style.
I retorted. You know you are right. It is coming to an end. For all of us. I don't fear that. Others do. So what's the difference?
Perhaps others don't feel they have lived a fulfilling life. They are still chasing that holy grail. Yes. We are all going to arrive at the same destination. This world will eventually end for every single one of us. But, as history has shown, it most likely won't end for all of us at the same time. Revelation style.
Me? So often God treats me to see and experience things I don't think others could understand. It can actually feel overwhelming at times. Yet I embrace the beauty of this mad house. Sometimes I feel special because of all these things I am from having my experiences. Don't we all feel special tho? You obviously feel more special too right?
We can see through the history of DRYS what exactly they give back in life. Not very much. They've taken quite a lot tho. Clearly they own a few WSOP bracelets in life. Per say.
I tell others. Worry about the end of your own world. Not the end of the world as a whole. At the end of the day your world and how you contribute to others such as your children, family etc is all that matters. Please contribute likewise as you see fit. You sound like a pretty complete guy tho. I like your words.
GREED. No pity if you lose. Just like lotto tickets. I'm a gambler too tho. Not judging.
Just my opinions.
See my most recent post about greed. And I commend you for having a kind soul. Oh, and I am also a true poker player or was. And yes I have won tournaments with more than a thousand and thousands of paying participants. I was a member of 3 out of the 4 big online sites that got shut down in the US back in 2011. I don't play anymore. Sitting there for hours on end I just can't stay that focused on a deck of cards like that anymore.
But this DRYS game is different. History tells the tale if you just look at it. The odds are so low gambling with this ticker, I think a 1 or 2 dollar long shot lotto ticket is a better buy. Sure the odds are astronomical but, the payout is much bigger IF they work in your favor. Entry is much cheaper.
Just my opinions. Best of luck.
Yeah the last DRYS food pellet, the run late last year from like $4 to over $120 was the last event to invoke the greed in people to buy this junk I guess. It got everyone's attention. Mine came from the DRYS ticker being spammed on another message board I read frequently. Plus I played with this junk several years ago.
I was actually driving through Vegas(OTR truck driver yeas ago), when it was announced that someone had jumped off an overpass I had recently passed under. It's true.
GREED. No pity tho if you lose. Just like the lotto tickets I purchased.
Just my opinions and excellent analogy.
Well if the ever plummeting DRYS shareprice doesn't promote fear in you. You obviously don't care about your money away. So. You're good to go long. Heck. It's only money. Some might say "the root of all evil". Good for you getting rid of all that evil.
Just my opinions and best of luck.
"GE knows how dumb we are."
A quote from an article published in 2007. Full article linked below.
"Steve819 [Quoting Barron'seditor Kathryn M. Welling]: "When someone asked why he was [taking his company public, Economou] actually said, basically, 'Because Americans are the dumbest investors around, and there's lots of liquidity in this market.'"
https://www.fool.com/investing/small-cap/2007/10/29/dryships-is-haunted.aspx
Just my opinions.
No. If you owned X amount of shares worth $1.5 million dollars and change in 2007, you now own only 1 share of DRYS valued at $1.37 now. Not maybe less than a 1000.
As for your penny stock ifs. I own lotto tickets that could be potentially worth 10's or even MORE MILLIONS OF DOLLARS! Yeah. I'm a greedy bastid too. I WANT IT ALL! MINE MINE MINE!
Nevertheless. I'm gunna get my broke ass up and go to work tomorrow. Just so I can keep paying my internet bill and stuff ya know.
Just my opinions and best of luck with your lottos too.
You know. It was $1 on January 22 of this year. Pre 1 for 8 rs. LOL! Now it's $1.37.
DRYS isn't even worthy of intelligent debate. I mean this junk ticker isn't even worthy of being called an investment. I wonder if there are, and I think there may be, investors still around from 2007 pre all the dilution resulting in reverse splits over and over again.
Case in point. The ten year high from October of 2007 is $1,517,418.25(CNBC stock app). So if you owned X amount of shares at that time equivalent to an investment of over 1.5 MILLION DOLLARS back in 2007. You now own 1 SHARE WORTH A WHOPPING DOLLAR AND THIRTY SEVEN CENTS. Is that how it works? Can it reverse fractionally below ONE SHARE for those who owned less than $1.5 MILLION DOLLARS in 2007?
It's insane that this is legal and has/is happening on a so called legitimate Murican exchange. NASDAQ.
Fools and their money tho.
Ok. What I am trying to say is. If you are long this junk. And you can actually believe in this junk. Well. The history of this junk ticker clearly tells the tale. Over and over again. No pity to recent bag holders. Nuff said.
Just my opinions.
You actually read that?
Anyway. Li needs to do something extraordinary to excite the Liquidmetal "branding". Make this just another material option "GREAT" in the minds of consumers. Like Nike or Coke or any other "GREAT" brand. So. I am thinking.
Clackers. Yeah that's right. Bring clackers back. With the extraordinary Liquidmetal bounce. Peeps be like. I got "Liquidmetal" clackers for my bday. How special is that?
Just my opinions. And random thoughts. Good luck.
"USE STOP LOSS ORDERS"
However DO NOT USE STOP LIMIT ORDERS! If you use stop limit orders to protect your money for when a stock crashes(like DRYS did today after the traders momo-ed it), often it will plummet in seconds past your limit possible leaving you with a partial fill or no fill at all.
I mean that is if you use stop loss orders. If you don't care well. Good luck to you.
Just my opinion and best of luck.
It could happen. But damn. This dilution been ongoing for what? Almost 10 years? lol.
At the end of the day. I would like for the gamblers to win. But it's usually the company that wins. Good luck my friend.
Just my opinions.
