Ted Cruz was born in Calgary, Canada to an American mother and Cuban father. So unless he can get a birth certificate from Hawaii he may never become President.
Did you read the previous posts pertaining to the thread with TREND???
ROFLMAO !!!
Never said anyone was. (However, I wonder who contributes to his campaign?) Rather, I said that he would be a good one to legislate a tax on forgein countries such as Germany & Japan to help pay for the military expenses we are providing for them. It's called placing a surcharge on goods they export to the USA.
We need politicians that are not bought and paid for by special interests. (Guys like Ted Cruz, LOL!) Perhaps it is time for a third party.
We should tax Germany & Japan to pay for the military we provide for them.
Am I or did I miss something???
Talking O.T. politics etc. between 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM EST M-F. Oh my! LOL!!!
RE: CLF. Are you looking strictly at the chart or do you think CLF is strong enough as a company to regain $35? TIA!
Foot. Saw your post on being dropped by Blue Cross. Trend1 deleted my response as the market was open, 9:40 A.M. LOL!!!
Can a person be fined/taxed for not having coverage when they were dropped by their carrier. Seems like it would be an interesting law suit. Maybe a class action suit. Here's your chance!
Sorry. I remembered that right after I hit submit. Looked at the clock and saw the market was open.
Rotor. Do you have any thoughts on SLW? TIA!
Thanks! I'll pass that along.
Attention everyone!

It gets better if you click a second time.
Don't know if you have read this daily blog before. Take note that the SPX, RUT and NDX are all out side of the upper bollinger bands. So what will the earnings reports say?

What are gold and silver coins selling for in your neighborhood? Have you checked lately?
Ditto. Heard similar talk on the radio over a year ago. It seems the debt ceiling is not a constitutional requirement. But don't quote me. LOL!
Hey Gleno, Foot, Trend etc. you could always come back home. Pretty lonely over here. LOL!
Wow! Post 9000!
Now where's that T-shirt Foot ordered? LOL!
RE; Gold it is very manipulated. Although, IMHO, the sellers of both the metals and the miners seem to be drying up. Who knows?
Here is a better question to ponder. Why are treasury yields falling while the government is in crisis? Because you need a "liquid" place to store the billions that are being taken out of the market. Thus gold could once again catch a bid.
Thanks, a good bear needs to hunt where the food is.
IMHO. With the glut of iron and coal there would be little reason for the bigger players to bid on CLF. Rather they might wait until CLF folds. Just MHO, nothing more.
Just who do you see as an interested buyer, and at what price?
WOW! That's a bunch!
Which of course lends reasoning as to why the GDX is under relitvely mild pressure today.
I heard they were in the process of doing significant lay offs. No details, but a reliable source.
IMHO. The GDX seems to be running out of sellers. That's why I sold my DUST, but not ready to go long.
Obviously the "Dumb" Americans are glad to see the shutdown. Maybe not so dumb? LOL!
Oddlot, I assume that the treasury is still open as it looks like bonds are trading. Therefore I'd guess that the PPT and POMO are working overtime. Thoughts???
Foot, do you know if the Feds POMO will be in anyway effected by the shutdown? I'd guess not as it looks like bonds are still trading. TIA!
BTW, keep an eye on corn. LOL!
Interesting indeed. You'd think the A. sisters would have mastered chart readind by now. LOL!
I see a possible H&S top (meaning bonds would do better than gold).
That said chart reading is often in the eyes of the beholder/hopefull position holder, etc.
IMHO, the lack of "Taper" is starting to scare those with significant positions in the stock market. (And it should).
Because they are saying, it ain't over! Maybe next month/year/well maybe after the next crash. But rest assured, big money (GS, etc.) will be out and short before you can wake up and say it's "Ground Hog Day" all over again!
rotor, with regards to "first day notice" just how many contracts are bought in order to buy physical metal? Is that the way to buy in bulk? Just wondering. TIA!
Probably not.
Hmmm? Is that a complex H&S pattern???
Double top in XLF? Banks warning?

Yes, I understand, which is why I chose a similar option when I was in an employer sponsored 401k.
Not to diss your investment as I once used a similar option im my employer's 401k. You should realize that in order to pay out 4.5% they are most likely investing your money in the things that you want to avoid.
FWIW: Taper talk is back in play! LOL! Just in time for quad-witching.

With your superior knowledge I hope you are working both angles.
