That heading should be entitled ...Grant of Options - 2% of Outstanding
all the other information was largely already released.

No insiders have bought in the last 6 weeks. Don't confuse PTQ (company money) with Insiders (personal money).
PTQ picked up 700,000 shares in the last few days.

not sure if the link will work.
I'm interested in making money not so much as not losing money. I suppose it is true that if the share price goes down and you never sell, you never really "lose money". A paper loss only. A small comfort but not one I am particularly interested in.
Let's hope for some positive development that the market recognizes over the next couple of months. Even if it is just a rebound in the price of gold and the market valuations of gold stocks.
JFF7
PTQ is not exactly managed by a fine group of professionals as demonstrated by their lack of ability to meet their own targets over the last quarters. Investors should be concerned about their lack of track record. No rational person would not be concerned if their investment had fallen 70% in value over the last year (all those institutional investors that got in at 1.00).
People do not have to be clueless or filled with envy, hatred, or even have an agenda to be concerned about their investment in PTQ. It would be foolish not be worried when the share price had fallen this far and management had missed so many of their own targets.
Despite that, value is still shining through so I will wait for my investment to pay off. In light of that, I filled the last of the shares I wanted to accumulate.
JFF7
it can take as many beatings as the company can miss goals. It's pretty simple really. Start making their goals and the share price will rise.
They just better do it before the POG reverts to it's mean. How many years left do they have to do that? I'm not sure.
JFF7
VB,
My definition of pumper is broader than yours. In mine, a pumper does not have to be a dumper.
I will continue to post my opinions on this board as long as I own shares in the company, whether you approve or not.
As for English not being your first language, your doing just fine.
Hopefully the company does something right soon that I can congratulate them on.
JFF7
Ah yes, go on holidays and what happens?
Nothing changes.
- the buffoons (management) manage to trip over their feet again
- the share price goes down
- the pumpers continue to say all is good
Just another memorable move in the history of PTQ.
JFF7
added some more today. Keep up the pressure guys.
JFF7
Is it possible that PDI results are very positive and are in fact masking PTQ's results? (ie PTQ earnings are positively impacted by PDI's results and PTQ's earnings would be much weaker if they were without PDI).
Is that what the market is telling us with PTQ's current share value (besides that it does not like management's track record of not meeting their own targets by a long shot).
JFF7
I think what he has stated that he blames PTQ's share price on management's poor execution to plan and since Fifer is the head honcho, he will be unhappy until management (Fifer) is gone and management that can execute to plan steps in.
Of course we all know it will be a long time or never before Fifer is no longer involved with PTQ, so JAL will just remain a disgruntled shared holder.
I think he would also bot be disgruntled if management made plans and kept to them.
In the meantime, I have bought some more sub 40 shares. Hoping to buy more later if the track record improves or POG heads north of 1700 again. Not a big holder but enough to keep me interested. Tried this at 60 cents and had to bail. Hope I don't have to again.
JFF7
oops... could have gotta it 1.5 cents cheaper....
be prepared for further bargains. More good news coming.
JFF7
They won't be traded publicly for however long it takes to issue the IPO and go public which was estimated at a year away.
Shares in private companies often can be bought or sold simply by expressing an interest to do so with the company involved. You could get your money out earlier than a year if you really wanted to or you could simply sell your PTQ shares earlier so you never have to worry about the PDI shares.
Your choice.
JFF7
Oh boy...sinking to mid 30s now... everyone buying with both fists?
JFF7
Relax MJ, I am just pointing out the weaknesses in the arguments presented here from time to time can be very self-serving and how they can change depending on what point is to be made. If you can't follow that line of reasoning that's OK. I am certain others can.
PTQ is performing no worse than most of the gold stocks today. It's reaching the point where it is getting hard to beat up the share price any more than has already been done.
JFF7
So when people are arguing that production is falling because grade may be falling, grade does not matter. But when higher grade may be available, production ounces will go up because grade does matter.
That's cool. No downside, only upside.
Looking forward to any PR that comes out.
JFF7
good points. Keep posting.
JFF7
your right. The corporate presentation that showed in Zurich should be available on their website. What effort does it require to post a presentation on a website? Does management think that Zurich investors deserve better insights in to the company than retail investors?
JFF7
yes that's a good gross markup on the construction grade aggregate with a cost of $5-$7 and selling at 20 per m3.
7-8,000 PDI employees will be good for the local Panama economy.
Spanish mine will be in production 2014
1.5 million ounces of 2P gold after resources are upgraded (1 miilion in Panama and .5 million in Spain).
goal to get some high grade ore from Spain to Panama by year end.
JFF7
funny my reaction was more an alarmed reaction. Fifer is not attending his own presentation because he has to attend to the transfer of title? Is there a problem with the transfer of title.
I'm sure it will be alright but I certainly am way more suspicious.
JFF7
is PTQ negotiating any capital lending? any clocks running for existing agreements that contain average day pricing over a period of days clauses?
JFF7
maybe this is one of the few times the repurchase plan will have an effect. The volume is so low.
JFF7
just for that, we're going to 35 cents.
JFF7
Good contributions Redflame
Jff7
strip out the non-operating gains / losses from the trailing qtrs to get a earnings / share before you apply any multiple calculations. And a 10 P/E ratio is too high for a small fry like PTQ.
PTQ has a qtr or two more of strong headwinds. And there is still the matter of executing to plan.
Zacks 6 month 2 dollar target is totally out to lunch as far as where this share price will be. You'd need 2200+ dollar POG to have any chance.
JFF7
is there anybody that doesn't think there is going to be protests by the enviros when PTQ tries to bring on all these leach pads that are 10 times the capacity of what they are doing now? That's a forgone conclusion in my book. Management had no choice but to get certified at the highest standards they could. A smart move by management.
One thing good for PTQ is that there will be a lot more mining activity going on so the protesters will have more ground to cover.
That should make them a little less of a target but they wouldn't get off free.
JFF7
I am hoping for more "buying opportunities" before the price of gold moves back up. I think PTQ fundamentals will provide those opportunities in the next two months (assuming POG takes that long to recover)
JFF7
they will buy a few more shares after the shares "appreciate" a little more. Gotta save your dry powder for the days ahead.
"shooting innocent bystanders as well as peaceful protesters." I would never have thought Panama police would have been capable of that. Who would have thought.
JFF7
VB
I would be happy making money on my PTQ shares. Different perspective I guess.
JFF7
if you want specifics before they happen and you want a scheduled announcement that will be met, MMT is not the investment for you. That's just an exercise in frustration.
MMT is just a company with a tremendous amount of potential that you have to wait on extremely patiently. Or play the momo.
JFF7
PTQ has bad news to get out of the way. A fair amount of this is built into the price but there is more pain to be had, at least temporarily.
The near term bad news: Q3 loss and possible delay in the PDI rollout again,
When this news comes out, I could see the price dropping to 30-35 cents on a quick dip. I would expect a fast rebound from there.
Top end right now might be 50 cents.
If POG turns around, JAL's right and all ships could be raised. Not sure where things would go.
Other bad news coming in the year: Q4 results will not be great earnings wise. it becomes very obvious that 100,000 oz target cannot be made (obvious already), no ore from Spain will be processed this calendar year. All these self proclaimed targets need to be swept aside and management needs to start with a fresh set of targets that they can meet. Maybe the truth is just too ugly though.
Of course, I have not mentioned any positive developments that will occur this year. Why, because investors don't hear those in the midst all the missed targets. Lots of potential there.
But if PTQ keeps missing and does not start making, investors will completely tune them out and we'll be destined for these levels for a long time.
JFF7
But will we be able to buy at 30 cents in a couple of weeks?
That's what worries me. I have replaced my shares I sold earlier. I paid 41 cents but I am wondering if I could have done better.
I will be happy when this quarters results are out and the PDI decision is out in the open (now, delayed, or cancelled).
If stock markets continue down around the world, even POG will fall and gold stocks with it (some farther than others). PTQ needs to get any remaining bad news out of the way and start getting some positives in place and working.
JFF7
I owned Golden Phoenix when it was mining Moly. I don't remember making money on that one so I must have lost money. Management talks a good game...lots of experience...but never seems to have a good eye for properties...maybe they end up with only what they can afford...never been well capitalized.
JFF7
Hmmmm, from my perspective, it is up to the company and their experts they hire to research and figure out how long a spin out will take before the company makes an announcement of when the spin-out will take place. It is not up to the shareholder to read the entire IRS 355 and Canadian equivalent and make sure that dozens of of requirements are met or when they can be met.
Not saying that the company has an easy job of it but the onus is on the company and management, not on the shareholders. The company is the one saying when the spin-out will take place, not the shareholders.
But that is just my perspective.
JFF7
MMT.V
and only one down day in March. Lots of oil pumped out and sold. The CEO has to have some good news to tell the NY / London audiences. I wonder if they will be asking about the one time divy or the recurring divy.
JFF7
I thought this is why we paid you. To do all our DD.
This quarter: 0 to -2 cents per share negative. And yes management is easy to blame when they miss their own targets so regularly.
Gold turning up again so PTQ should move up directly after the quarterly results are out.
JFF7
PS. the check is in the mail...
Oh oh Jal, now you've done it. You've insulted Panama. MJ is going to be all over you like a cheap suit.
Of course Panama has gold but your just saying that the maybe the drop in production is due to lower grades being mined than expected. Lower grades leads to lower gold production. So lower grades can matter. Is that what is happening here?
I don't know. Does PTQ report head grades processed each quarter like other producers?
JFF7
Hmmmm sounds like you have more of an issues with bulk samples than with head grades.
If I understand your main point, it is that the grades at the start of the process matter little because it is more important what you can produce profitably at the end of the process that matters.
Ultimately, when all is said and done (process fully implemented and fine tuned) you are right but the potential with higher grades is so much higher than lower grades that at the early stages of a mining operation, grade has to be considered one to be one of the most important factors in the likelihood of the success (profitability) of a mine. It's one of the best forward indicators of the possible degree of success of a beginning mining operation. There are just so many more ways to make a buck from high grades than there is from low grades.
Not to say that grades are a be all and end all as I have certainly seen high grade operations that have been duds as producers for a variety of reasons. But head grade and the change in head grade over time is a very telling story.
JFF7
Loj,
Just throw away the "grades aren't important" statement and never mention it again. Grades are always important to profitability, to sales, to efficiency...just about everything.
3 bucks by the end of the year?????? Oh nevermind......
JFF7
lol, I think MJ has you by the nose and is leading you where he likes.
Lets get this loss out of the way and then start building some momentum by making some deadlines.
JFF7
41 cents on TSX ....maybe MJs calls for 30 cents are right.
JFF7
