and now there is a 190,000 share buy at 41 cents.
Someone sure is jerking us around....
JFF7
we're free to move up....the seller is gone at 41 cents....
just need a little spike in POG and the seller to stay away and we're off towards 50 cents
JFF7
Maybe that is JAL selling his trading shares.
JFF7
195,000 shares for sale at 41 cents. Maybe more if there is something hiding behind those orders.
JFF7
is that an iceberg order at 41 cents? lots of buying against the sell orders but the orders never go down.

Yes the regular divy is to be paid in Sept and Dec this year. They were hoping earlier in the year that it would come out for July start but the paper work takes a lot of time. Wade also said at the AGM that they ran the numbers as low at 70 dollars Brent and they can still afford the divy of 5 cents a qtr.
Analysts have been in touch. Expect a few write ups in a couple of weeks.
A tiger by the tail.

High growth juniors are getting no respect in this market. Share prices have been hammered down to ridiculous levels. Shareholders are very frustrated. Companies only have a few choices. Share buybacks, dividends,or going private
I'd only support going private if these market condition remain for a long time. I place a high value on share liquidity personally.
JFF7
Keep the faith gabbs. The wind is to our backs now. They just posted a nice qtr over qtr increase and are expanding in the second half of the year. This is what investors are looking for. Also looks like they will not be putting their foot in their mouth quite so often now by not opening their mouth so often. Maybe it is. Because of the influence of the new guy. Seems to make sense to me. Only the general markets can hurt us now.
JFF7
Well I'm good with things now. All positions are green now. As Loj says the winds have changed and are now at our back. Just need the rest of the world to cooperate.
JFF7
wow...the worlds shortest conference call.
efficient or what?
JFF7
not sure why but I am expecting PDI to be valued at the 3-5 cents area. But it doesn't really matter. The value may be temporarily taken out of the share price of PTQ, but in the longer run each will be more truly valued by the market as the inherent value will be (should be) much clearer.

Congrats Coinmaker on sticking to your guns on this one. And for successfully pressuring them to find a non-dilutive solution to the financing needed.

Nothing to do with MMT. He is just sharing his momo trading he is doing with sub-penny pink sheet stock DGRI. He bought 9 million shares at .004 a share. Maybe he posted on MMT board by mistake or maybe he wants to share his pseudo inside knowledge. Bottom-line, it has nothing to do with MMT for the rest of us.

supporting Auriga Gold? I thought that was your part-time job?
maybe you should consider moving to full-time.
JFF7
maybe that is how he does things. Instead of trying to put together something he wants to pass and having them debate and delay the heck out of it forever, he simply slams it down their throat and when they choke on it, he plucks it out and asks them how they would like it seasoned because one way or another they are going to eat it.
At least this way they know it is coming one way or another.

What's a man to do? The markets are spinning their wheels and the fish aren't biting. At least the beer is cold.
If the opposition has no effective voice in the government houses or courts, then that only leaves public demonstrations to vent their frustrations. More civil unrest?
Why don't they just sit back and enjoy the ride.

The markets the last few years have not been good ones for the buy and hold ...ma and pa investors especially. The majority have not had a decent return on the markets.
It really depends on your personality and the time you have to allocate to it. I am naturally a buy and hold but I have learned to trade. Mostly I trade around my core position of my buy and holds. That way I get the benefit of my research and reduce my risk of trading a loser.
I start with buying something that already has a lot of value in it and a large possibility of adding more value through growth in the next 6 month to a year. Build a position and then wait. Trade around your position to lower your overall cost.
I am here to make money ...this year...not 5 years from now. The longer I hold and the more the stock has not moved up from my buy point, the more likely I am to trade it more and eventually sell it.
PTQ has been good for me. The first time I held for about 15 months and this time around I have been in and out at 60 cents and then again at 40 cents and finished adding at low thirties.
That's what works for me but there are many personality types and and even more ways to make a buck. Who's to say what is the only way or the best way to make money.
JFF7
So much pessimism....did PMC hijack MJ's ID?
Come on MJ, play your part. Your turning the world upside down. Next thing you know I'LL see JAL pumping PTQ's management and Panama's government.

- Updated 43-101 to pre-feas level in one month with new mine plan for second resource area. IR expects + 300-400k mineable (P&P) ounces
- Note that with +400k P&P oz, that will put them just shy of 1M P&P oz when you subtract production since last 43-101 (~650k P&P)
- Other facts per my post earlier today

Loj,
I think you are right that something significant is happening with gold because it is as you say moving in the opposite direction of commodities like oil and in a big way. I've always thought gold would lead the turn around like it has in the recent past. Maybe in six months the markets themselves will turn back up.
Acanuck, "next big thing" - I was refering to NGAS as being the next big thing that could impact the demand for oil. NGAS as you say is very abundant in the US and Canada and so much cheaper than oil on an energy equivalence basis. I agree with Ponce though that it takes a lot of dollars and time to switch people from oil to an alternative like NGAS. Countries like Brazil that promote use of NGAS are pretty smart. Self-interests will prevent it from happening quickly in the US.
Come on PTQ, let's have a strong close.
JFF7
POG continuing to trend up...wow...is it done for the day? Maybe not.

I agree with you on peak oil being a myth. or at least not the way you need to look at investing in oil companies. It's best to think of it as at what price will oil have to be to meet oil demand. Even there you can be wrong for long periods of time since the price of oil is driven so much by sentiment rather than supply / demand. Technology has provided a lot of opportunity for producing oil at a decent price. It's going to allow the US to reduce it's oil export / import imbalance quite a bit. Nat gas is another ace in the hole just waiting to be played.
POG going to make a lot of Gold share holders a lot of money. Let's hope we participate by holding PTQ when the smoke clears.

It all makes sense now.

Good posts JV. Showing some depth there.
As much as I cheer for what Iceland did, I don't think it is a solution for US or Euro. Size does make a difference.
I agree a reset is needed and it seems there is no way for it to be pretty.
POG is telling us we are getting close to another kick of the can down the road.

Got mentioned on BNN today (about half an hour ago). Peter Imhoff of Sprott commenting. Says they still own some but it is categorized as a speculative stock worthy of a small investment only so far because it does not have revenues and profits yet.
That will change fast enough. I like it at these levels.

I have not seen or do not remember seeing any estimates on the amount of surface ore that is available to ship to Panama for processing. Has anyone heard what this amounts to? Shipment rates anticipated?

ORT.to Bobwins
I. Just started looking into Ort and took a small position in it to make sure I follow up on it.
Do you know if they have the capital to bring this into production?
I noticed in their last quarterly report that were burning through 3 million a quarter and that was before they start converting from pilot facilities to production facilities. The last report also said they only have 9 to 10 million in cash but I read another post on another board that they have lots of money to do the move to production. Are you anticipating any need for dilution to get to production?
JFF7
Jal, that's just the point. Nothing really tangible to the approach of the development of the property has changed. It should not be much different than before but people will get that impression from the PR.
43-101 standards forced them from including the SRK data as official 43-101 data to be used as the economic justification for an open pit mine development. It forced them to the underground mine discussion because that's all the standards would allow them to.
They have no intention of developing it initially as an underground mine. Once the phase 1 drilling is done (twinning some of the old holes previously done and some infill) then the 43-101 will be able to use the data with modern day gold prices (1250 / ounce) to justify an open pit development plan right off the bat.
Also I am not saying they wrote a bad PR. They just did what they could given the circumstances.
Should they have known they would not be able to use the old data when they bought the property? That's a different question. Maybe they just relied on the company they hired or maybe it was a grey area and they took a chance but got called it.
JFF7
MJ, I did read the PR and the revised 43-101. However, I think we have different perspectives when reading them.
I try to read it as a new investor would. New investors are needed to keep raising the share price. I think potential mew investors or even recently new investors that have not read the revised report will read the PR and stop there. They will not see the information they want to see or need to see to motivate them the same way as they would if they saw a PR that quoted a 43-101 that had reserves and a documented plan of development.
The SRK work is noted in the revised report for it's historical relevance but it cannot be used in the 43-101 officially because of the additional drilling required first to show economic feasibility (of which I certainly do not dispute if we accepted the SRK data at face value). And sure the first 8 years of open pit is probably the way it will be developed but the PR was not allowed to say that.
The point I am making is that what the PR is allowed to say because of the limitations of what the revised report can say will keep some investors away until they do see the additional drilling done and the resources updated. I believe the PR will have some affect come Monday. That's just my viewpoint.
And certainly LP is not the main reason for owning PTQ at this time.
I hope your fishing trip was successful and pleasant for you.
