NuVibe is the supposed new company name. VIBE is the supposed new ticker. KGKG is the existing and as yet unchanged ticker. The name is still not officially changed with the state and OTC as far as anyone knows. Yahoo made the name change on their site some time ago and it was reported on here. Making it look like something is happening doesn't equate to something actually happening.
What Is the Ticker of a Stock?
A ticker of a stock is its ticker symbol, which is a unique grouping of letters that identifies a specific company. For example, Apple has a ticker symbol of "AAPL," Exxon has a ticker symbol of "XOM," and Coca-Cola has a ticker symbol of "KO."
What Is a Ticker Symbol?
A ticker symbol is a stock symbol; an abbreviation of a company's name that uniquely identifies its publicly traded shares on stock exchanges. Ticker symbols also exist for other securities, such as exchange-traded funds (ETFs). Some popular ticker symbols are GOOGL for Google, AMZN for Amazon, MSFT for Microsoft, AAPL for Apple, KO for Coca-Cola, DIS for Disney, and SBUX for Starbucks.
The new ticker is supposedly VIBE - not VIBEF if that is what you are looking at

Not sure I follow your logic. At best, this mine won't be operational until late 2027 and this project won't even be completed until 2025. What does investigating the potential of new technology have to do with EXIM? The potential mapping and trajectory data could be useful to support new drilling data for EXIM, if it could be done in a timely manner. Maybe the project is looking for places to test and refine and prove the technology? Just a thought.
Is this something NioCorp should look into?

Canada's Global Innovation Cluster, recently co-invested $3.5M in a data-driven Surgical Mining initiative led by Canadian start-up Novamera to advance its transformational Surgical Mining Technologies, which could unlock trillions in stranded deposits to help support the clean energy transition quickly and sustainably
Surgical Mining Technologies:
Guidance Technology- The key to surgical mining is accurately targeting ore in real-time. Novamera's proprietary downhole sensor is uniquely configured to capture ~4900% more subsurface data than traditional delineation methods. This data is processed using Novamera's software, which uses algorithms, ML, and AI to determine the deposit's geometry. This is then used to calculate the optimal drilling trajectory for extraction.
Smart Drilling System: A Positioning Control System, Course Correction Device, and Predictive Steering Technology integrate into a conventional large-diameter drill to maintain the prescribed trajectory. This reduces unplanned waste removal and maximizes ore recovery. Reverse circulation with air-lift assist is used to bring ore to the surface.
About Novamera
Novamera develops Surgical Mining technologies that pinpoint, map, navigate and extract high-value narrow vein deposits. Novamera's precision drilling products integrate into conventional drilling equipment, enabling mining companies to quickly and sustainably mine metal and mineral deposits that are otherwise uneconomic due to size, geometry, and orientation. The process has large-scale environmental and social impacts to support ESG targets and improve social licence, requiring a small footprint with no blasting; the solution produces 95% less waste and 44% less GHG emissions and minimal water discharge.

Virtual reality as a reliable shooting performance-tracking tool
Study tests ballistic simulator measures of precision, decision-making, reaction time
Emily Caldwell
Ohio State News
https://news.osu.edu/virtual-reality-as-a-reliable-shooting-performance-tracking-tool/
Virtual reality technology can do more than teach weaponry skills in law enforcement and military personnel, a new study suggests: It can accurately record shooting performance and reliably track individuals’ progress over time.
In the study of 30 people with a range of experience levels in handling a rifle, researchers at The Ohio State University found that a ballistic simulator captured data on the shooters’ accuracy, decision-making and reaction time – down to the millimeter in distance and millisecond in time – on a consistent basis.
In addition to confirming that the simulator – called the VirTra V-100 – is a dependable research tool, the findings could lead to establishing the first-ever standardized performance scores for virtual reality ballistics training.
“To our knowledge, we’re the first team to answer the question of whether the simulator could be converted to an assessment tool and if it’s credible to use it day-to-day,” said Alex Buga, first author of the study and a PhD student in kinesiology at Ohio State.
“We’ve figured out how to export the data and interpret it. We’ve focused on the three big challenges of marksmanship, decision-making and reaction time to measure 21 relevant variables – allowing us to put a report in a user’s hand and say, ‘This is how accurate, precise, focused and fast you are.’”
The study was published online June 6 in The Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research.
U.S. military leaders and law enforcement agencies have shown an interest in increasing the use of virtual reality for performance assessment, said Buga and senior study author Jeff Volek, professor of human sciences at Ohio State. Earlier this year, an Ohio Attorney General Task Force on the Future of Police Training in Ohio recommended incorporating virtual reality technology into training protocols.
Volek is the principal investigator on a $10 million U.S. Department of Defense grant focused on improving the health of military service members, veterans and the American public. As part of that initiative, the research team is investigating the extent to which nutritional ketosis reduces detrimental effects of sleep loss on cognitive and physical performance in ROTC cadets – including their shooting ability as measured by the VirTra simulator. Verifying the simulator’s results for research purposes triggered the attempt to extract and analyze its data.
“We were using it as an outcome variable for research, and we found that it has very good day-to-day reproducibility of performance, which is crucial for research,” Volek said. “You want a sensitive and reproducible outcome in your test where there’s not a lot of device or equipment variation.”
Because the lab also focuses on human performance in first responders, researchers’ conversations with military and law enforcement communities convinced Buga that data collected by the simulator could be more broadly useful.
“I created a few programs that enabled us to calculate the shooting data and produce objective training measures,” he said. “This equipment is close to what the military and police use every day, so this has potential to be used as a screening tool across the country.”
Users of the simulator operate the infrared-guided M4 rifle by shooting at a large screen onto which different digitally generated visuals are projected – no headset required. The rifle at Ohio State has been retrofitted to produce the same recoil as a police or military weapon.

The study participants included civilians, police and SWAT officers, and ROTC cadets. Each was first familiarized in a single learning session with the simulator and then completed multiple rounds of three different tasks in each of three study performance sessions.
In the first task, participants fired at the same target a total of 50 times to produce measures of shooting precision. The decision-making assessment involved shooting twice within two seconds at designated shapes and colors on a screen displaying multiple shape and color choices. In the reaction-time scenario, participants shot at a series of plates from left to right as rapidly as possible.
Internal consistency ratings showed the simulator generated good to excellent test-retest agreement on the 21 variables measured.
All participants were well-rested and completed the study sessions at about the same time of day. Self-evaluations showed that participants’ overall confidence about their shooting performance increased from their first to final sessions. They also rated the simulator as a realistic and a low-stress shooting assessment tool.
The low stress and well-rested conditions were important to establishing baseline performance measures, the researchers noted, which then would enable evaluating how injuries and other physical demands of first-responder professions affect shooting performance.
“This simulator could be used to assess the effectiveness of specific training programs designed to improve shooting performance, or to evaluate marksmanship in response to various stressors encountered by the same law enforcement and military personnel,” Buga said. “These novel lines of evidence have enabled us to push the boundaries of tactical research and set the groundwork for using virtual reality in sophisticated training scenarios that support national defense goals.”
Additional co-authors, all from Ohio State, included Drew Decker, Bradley Robinson, Christopher Crabtree, Justen Stoner, Lucas Arce, Xavier El-Shazly, Madison Kackley, Teryn Sapper, John Paul Anders and William Kraemer.
VirTra Simulators Approved for DoD-Funded Research Projects
CHANDLER, Ariz. — June 13, 2024 — VirTra, Inc. (Nasdaq: VTSI) (“VirTra” or the “Company”), a global provider of judgmental use of force training simulators and firearms training simulators for the law enforcement and military markets, today announced that its simulators have been approved for Department of Defense (“DoD”) funding for research projects. This approval is supported by the results of a recent independent research study conducted by Ohio State University.
The study, published by a third party, assessed VirTra’s V-100 Simulator and confirmed that VirTra simulators can record shooting performance accurately and track individual progress over time reliably, thereby qualifying them as verified and consistent research tools.
Researchers at Ohio State University studied 30 participants with varying degrees of rifle-handling experience to evaluate the V-100 Ballistic Simulator’s capabilities as a training device and research tool. They found that the system accurately captured shooting data, decision-making, and reaction time down to millimeters and milliseconds. These significant findings support the use of VirTra’s simulators as research tools and could lead to their use in a first-ever standardized performance score system for virtual reality ballistics training.
“Our research group used the V-100 Ballistic Simulator as an outcome variable for our study and found that it has excellent day-to-day reproducibility of performance, which is crucial for research,” said Jeff Volek, professor of human sciences at Ohio State. “A sensitive and reproducible outcome is essential in tests where equipment variation must be minimized. Alex Buga from my research team created several programs that enabled us to calculate shooting data and produce objective training measures. VirTra’s equipment closely simulates what the military and police use daily, indicating its potential as a screening tool across the country.”
VirTra simulators, now qualified as research tools, assist in the collection, processing, analysis, and interpretation of data across various disciplines, including natural sciences, social sciences, and military sciences. The key characteristics that make VirTra simulators invaluable for research include their accuracy and precision, efficient data management, advanced analytical capabilities, reproducibility, user-friendly interface, integration with other systems, robust security features, and comprehensive support and documentation.
The study’s findings corroborate the research industry’s steady adoption of VirTra simulators for investigative purposes. Top-level investigators, such as Force Science, already use VirTra simulators to conduct human performance under stress research.
“At Force Science, we are involved in many of the United States’ most high-profile use-of-force investigations, where we are required to research, analyze, and demonstrate the reality of human performance under stress,” said Von Kliem, Chief Consulting and Communications Officer at Force Science. “With VirTra simulators, we can swiftly and securely recreate dynamic force encounters. Their precision technology allows us to measure movement times, shot times, and response intervals with the consistency and accuracy necessary for valid and reliable research. The validity of research conducted with VirTra systems enables us to study diverse populations and establish realistic expectations for human performance during threat assessments, decision-making, and critical de-escalation efforts.”
The research study conducted by Ohio State University was published on June 6, 2024, in The Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research.
Maybe getting into how the sausage is being made? EXIM may not want to be in the business of publicizing a company's financial situation before the sausage is ready. The company may not be in a rush to publicly exclaim that they don't have enough money to do what needs to be done. The public might want input as to why a government institution is propping up companies that way. Who knows?
You could always call and ask. I'd be happy to if I was concerned about it, but I'm not and I have more pressing concerns

Sounds like they have to have an existing Letter of Interest that specifically mentions the EMP in order to apply.
1.07 ENGINEERING MULTIPLIER PROGRAM
If the LI Letter references this section of the Program Guidelines, this transaction qualifies for consideration under EXIM Bank's Engineering Multiplier Program (EMP). A transaction supported by the EMP must involve the export of architectural, industrial design, or engineering services for a project with the potential of generating subsequent U.S. exports of at least $10 million or double the Contract Price of the transaction, whichever is greater. For EMP transactions, EXIM Bank will offer support for eligible Local Costs (locally originating goods and services) up to 30% of the net U.S. Contract Price. If the project is subsequently implemented and EXIM Bank approves financing for related U.S. exports, EXIM Bank will allow the Borrower to roll the remaining balance of the EMP pre-construction loan into the Direct Loan or Guaranteed Loan for the project.
EXIM Bank will not provide enhanced financial support for EMP transactions if the U.S. Trade and Development Agency (TDA) is prepared to fund the transaction. EXIM Bank will determine the availability of TDA support only in conjunction with a PC or AP application.
It's been around since at least 2017 based on this blog post:

Here's an approved loan.
In September 2023, EXIM approved a $57 million loan under EXIM’s Engineering Multiplier Program (EMP) to EnergoNuclear S.A. to support pre-construction engineering and feasibility studies for the potential development of two nuclear reactors at the Cernavoda nuclear power plant complex in Romania. The transaction will support an estimated 200 new jobs in Texas and Illinois.

How to Invest in Scandium (Updated 2024)
February 19, 2024
https://www.nasdaq.com/articles/how-to-invest-in-scandium-updated-2024
Hadn't seen this article before either - apologies if it's a dup
In the US, a decades-long hiatus in domestic scandium production may be nearing the end — NioCorp Developments' (TSX:NB,OTCQX:NIOBF) Elk Creek critical metals project holds probable reserves of an estimated 36 million metric tons containing 65.7 parts per million scandium. In the fall of 2023, the company successfully demonstrated pilot-scale production of 1 kilogram of aluminum-scandium ingot.
It's worth noting that the US Department of Defense (DOD) is supporting the development of domestic scandium production. In 2022, the government body approved US$30 million in grants under the Defense Manufacturing Community Support Program. About US$4.7 million of the funding is earmarked for the SAE Government Technologies-led Supply Chain of Recovered Elements Consortium (SCORE).
“The first focus of SCORE will be the extraction of scandium and integration into the aluminum alloys supply chain, supporting domestic manufacturing through castings, welding, and additive (3D printing) pathways,” states a Department of Defense press release.
Solicitation closes 6/12 - hadn't seen this before. Doesn't appear to be a lot of money involved at the moment but shows a different level of government interest in scandium alloy and points to expected domestic production.
https://www.sbir.gov/node/2608939
OBJECTIVE: The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) seeks to promote responsive, best value supplies of related materials, components, and systems to Department of Defense (DoD) customers and other DoD stakeholders. DLA investigates advancements in technologies and business processes for new and improved materials, more efficient means of their production, and competitive domestic supply chains which will lead to greater innovation in current and future defense systems combined with benefits to other commercial and government applications.
DLA is interested in exploring future defense industrial base uses for scandium (Sc) because of its unique properties as a pure metal and, as an alloying agent, to significantly increase the performance of traditional aluminum (Al) alloys, and therefore expand the use of Al alloys. Further benefits include, substituting aluminum-scandium (Al-Sc) alloys for incumbent expensive materials (e.g., titanium) and/or replacing material forms that are both costly and difficult to source (e.g., forging, complex machined parts, and extrusions), as Al-Sc alloys are highly compatible with additive manufacturing techniques.
In the United States mining operations for Sc ore are being planned and developed to feed a domestic supply chain and, recently, new sources of Sc now exist in Canada (an important member country of DoD’s National Technology Industrial Base). There are also established defense industrial base companies and other businesses in both countries that can significantly contribute to development and commercialization of Al-Sc supply chains for both military and commercial applications.
Given the important properties of Sc, and in anticipation of increased affordable domestic supply, DLA is interested in engaging small businesses with the capability to develop and expand expertise and industrial base production capacity of Sc-containing materials, especially in areas relevant to the supply of Al-Sc alloy components for DoD end-uses.
Specific materials, processing and manufacturing areas of interest include:
-Raw material refining
-High purity Sc metals, compounds, and alloys
-Additive manufacturing feedstock
-Additively manufactured DoD systems prototype parts
Have any Nebraskans reached out to U.S. Senator Deb Fischer's and Congressman Don Bacon's offices and see if they will provide an update on the $10 million? If nothing else, it might put it on someone's desk for a minute.

Thousands of so-called zombie companies barely surviving due to debt: ‘They're going to get crushed'
Zombies are commonly defined as companies that have failed to make enough money from operations in the past three years to pay even the interest on their loans, and the AP estimates there are around 2,000 in the U.S. alone.

Aside from some niobium and titanium use for cathodes and anodes, the proposed NioCorp products are not battery related. Battery technology is evolving and actually including more niobium.
https://chargedevs.com/newswire/new-ev-batteries-use-cost-effective-niobium-additives-in-the-cathode/
Since 2019, CBMM has seen a 500% increase in niobium oxide exports to fulfill demand for new uses for EV battery cathodes. The company expects sales to reach 1,000 tons in 2024, when the new batteries will be released, aimed at supplying the passenger car segment. The company claims that using niobium oxide in cathodes and a high nickel formulation boosts battery energy storage capacity, improving EV autonomy. The solution reduces the cost of battery production as the addition of niobium varies from 0.5 to 1% and allows the replacement of cobalt with nickel, which is cheaper and more accessible to producers.
While the future is uncertain, a Stellantis spokesperson confirmed to us that, as of now, the company isn't changing or reconsidering aspects of its 2030 goal. 50 percent electric in the US and 100 percent in Europe is still the plan. In Europe, EV sales are still doing well. Things stateside aren't quite as rosy, though some models are doing better than others.
Not sure I would classify "pretty disappointing" as cheerleading. Feel free to put me on ignore, wouldn't want you to get tired from reading what I write. Absolutely don't read anything before operating heavy machinery. This is not happy news and it's not good news for the warrants either. On the flip side, it isn't dead yet. I could take a loss or hope for the best. I'll hope for the best. You do you.
On the bright side, we now know what Mark meant when he said financing "conservatively" could come by the end of Q2.
Not gonna lie, this is pretty disappointing but I'm not in the doom and gloom camp yet. We're approaching Q4 2024 for the feds (7/1) and there's still $10 million in appropriated funds sitting out there that hasn't been allocated. It's unclear whether that can be reprogrammed from Al-Sc master alloy production to what's needed. If so, that would certainly help. Normally, the funds need to be allocated in the year appropriated, so by early-mid September at the latest. There's a critical election a month after Q1 2025 begins (10/1) and I believe the administration still wants this win. Regardless of who gets elected, I think domestic sourcing of critical minerals remains a priority and Elk Creek ultimately gets financed. Hurry up and wait. Might grab some more at $2.
Mark might consider getting out of the business of providing timelines unless they're set in stone. He's not very good at it.

Through new technology, police are training to react to life-threatening situations

Enterprise training is key for the Army to train as it fights
The Army’s next training systems contract, called Warfighter Training Readiness Solution, adds enterprise training for multi-domain operations.
From TADSS to W-TRS
The Army’s focus on doing just that to develop full-spectrum capabilities in MDO will take a step forward in the near future with a new program called Warfighter Training Readiness Solutions (W-TRS). This contract is an expansion and recompete of PEO STRI’s Training Aids, Devices, Simulators and Simulations (TADSS) operations and maintenance program – a seven-year contract that began in 2019.
The scope of TADSS expands under W-TRS to include enterprise training-related services for live, virtual, constructive capabilities, along with worldwide integrated training systems maintenance and sustainment for all Army TADSS, instrumentation systems, ranges, and Synthetic Training Environment equipment.
Microsoft says it will funnel more resources into Army’s IVAS program amid mixed reality shakeup
The company announced a new round of layoffs on Monday and said the affected jobs primarily revolve around engineering development for enterprise and commercial.
“Remaining resources,” the spokesperson added, are “being redirected to IVAS development,” though the company is also planning to send some resources toward cloud and artificial intelligence capabilities for mixed reality, and focus on the development of “ruggedized” HoloLens 2 devices for the public sector (i.e., federal, state and local first responders).
First answer is that anything seems possible with this group (except full transparency, product release, share value and effective marketing).
I have not seen any filings either, which makes me wonder how/why Yahoo! has changed the name already.

You know they are the same company? Or meant they're not? The same symbols can be used in different stock markets.
For a specific stock mark, tickers are unique and identify specific stocks or shares of a company. The same ticker code may, however, represent different companies on different exchanges. An example of this is the “DRI” ticker. On different exchanges it represents either the company “Drillisch AG” (Frankfurt Stock Exchange) or “Darden Restaurants Inc” (New York Stock Exchange). Sometimes additional codes are also added to a ticker that represent an exchange.
Nasdaq tickers have 4 letters (VIBE) so the E would be the 4th letter, not a 5th letter extension.
Stocks traded on the New York Stock Exchange have symbols with up to three letters - like T (AT&T), DO (Diamond Offshore Drilling) and LUV (Southwest Airlines).
Stocks traded on the NASDAQ usually have four-letter symbols - like MSFT (Microsoft).
I think you’re being generous. I’m leaning more toward a game of three-turd monte 🤣
VIBE, VIBEF and VIBED are all symbols for the same Canadian company listed as VIBE on the the Canadian Securities Exchange (CSE). The CSE is a Canadian stock exchange for micro cap and emerging companies. Formerly called the Canadian National Stock Exchange (CNSX). VIBEF is the company on OTC. VIBED was the OTC Gray Market symbol back in 2019.
