Encana Earnigs Call on October 23rd Dripping With Duvernay..
From Encana's Oct 23rd Earnings Press Release.....
ZEX has now over 150000 Acres of Oil rich shale Oil in CA and Now the Highly sought after Duvernay, there is no land left, all bought up.The Big Boys are already drilling and producing just miles from each location. Just a matter of time before JV or Buy out.
Read below ENCANA's CC::::::::::::
"In the Duvernay play of west-central Alberta, the Company's 8-5 well, which had an initial production rate of 1400 bbls/d of field condensate and 4 MMcf/d of natural gas over its first 30 days, continues to exceed expectations producing at a rate of 350 bbls/d of condensate and 2 MMcf/d of natural gas after more than 160 days.
To date, the well has produced over 100 thousand barrels of field condensate and 400 million cubic feet of natural gas. Overall, 12 horizontal wells have been completed in the play with 10 on production and two currently being tied in. Free condensate yield results remain strong with a range of 45 to 300 barrels per million cubic feet (bbls/MMcf)."
Encana Earnings Conference call, October 23rd. The word, "Duvernay" was mentioned 18 times.
Encana 2nd qtr conference call, there were 8 mentions of the word, "Duvernay."
Selected Highlights of October 23rd Encana Earnings Call....
Michael G. McAllister – Designated COO says early on in the call,
"In the Duvernay, our 805 well continues to exceed expectations producing at a rate of 350 barrels per day condensate and 2 million cubic feet per day of natural gas after more than a 160 days. To-date the well has produced over 100,000 barrels of field condensate and 400 million cubic feet of natural gas.
I’d also like to announce that we recently completed the 931 well in the Simonette Duvernay and we are about one week into fallback operations, the well is still cleaning up, but we’re seeing very strong well performance with the initial rate somewhere like those of the 805 well. The well is currently producing about 4.5 million cubic feet of natural gas per day and over 1,100 barrels per day of lease condensate."
Q&A highlights on the Duvernay....
"In Canada we’re adding to our Duvernay position, we’ve added primarily on lands which were already within our core area in the Duvernay."
"Duvernay will be under the emerging and it’s going to be still as an emerging play being evaluated, we have a clear line of sight of taking that commercial, declaring it commercial and growing it into next year. Very encouraged on the well reserves that we saw in Simonette with over 1,000 barrels per day on our latest well, which still cleaning up I should mention."
"This is Doug, [CEO] just to add one thing, I think that we’re obviously very encouraged per what we see in the Duvernay and one of the things we’re working on quite hard now is how quickly can we ramp that up, I think the current forecast isn’t fast enough and one of the areas of focus is, how do we make that faster..."

From Chris over at Stockhouse
I recently got more info from the horses mouth then our own "CEO" puts out in pr's & it shows at MINUMUM, the lack of clarity, communication from that guy :
On 2012-09-22, at 5:04 AM, chris wrote: Good morning Mr. Chow. Thank you for presenting at the recent Denver conference on behalf of American Manganese Inc. I have one question after reading the presentation in denver that is on the company website.Page 26 lists a total of 27 variables under the headings Processing Variables, Material Properties & Optimize Battery Performance . Is this saying the current Kemetco work is or can be used to improve on each of the 27 variables at their own respective stages?
I believe these are the variables you briefly mentioned about being able to adjust in the May conference call, but would prefer to ask you directly over assuming.

Thank you again for the continued work, presentations & speakings you & your staff have done on behalf of AMY, as this is truly exciting to watch these multiple breakthroughs occur through Kemetco.

Tuesday, September 25, 2012 5:30 PM : Hi Chris Thanks for your interest in our work.
The process variables listed in the presentation are example of "tools" that can be made available when we use hydrometallugical processing. The only important goals that need to be optimized for batteries are:
1. Cost
2. Cycle Life
3. Specific Power
4. Specific Energy
5. Safety
We are using the available "tools" to produce cathode materials with different physical properties. We then produce test batteries to test the performance criteria in items 1 to 5 listed above.
This is a simple explanation of the work that we are undertaking. In actuality the science is more complicated.
Most encouraging is the process to make manganese dioxide while by-passing processes that are known to introduce metallic impurities. These metallic impurities cause shorting, thermal run away and catastrophic failures in lithium ion batteries.

An excerpt from the next day on the 26th : We are making button cells for research purposes on the chemistry.
Even though we are making button cells the chemistry will be usable to other formats of batteries.
Thanks again for you interest

i mentioned here last year about Button Cells & posted a junk load of DD on them. That is a HUGE market & Kemetco is improving on MULTIPLE specs. DD how many billions a year are sold. As usual, this CEO can't even point out why Button Cells or the potential of any of these markets. Instead just makes AMY look like a confused company that will HOPEFULLY, be a EV story BUT not with results until next March. I really, really thought AMY would be past this CEO by now & every day i see that junk PPS for certian people who got into this because of me....oooh. This is the worst CEO i have ever seen, & tied to such a rare potential.
Speechless....
but thank YOU, Kemetco for putting your reputation on the line in advance of events over and over. Maybe one day the Mgt will learn how to compliment it. Even if myself & the market obviously doubt it.
Glta the honest people here stuck in this.....which way is up, Mgt., because any holder of this stock is surely on their own with figuring out potential markets. To the market, buying at a cheap pps does not justify such horrible Mgt.. They actually reward the opposite & that's my point....AMY has had MULTIPLE things occur. At some point, you have to listen to the market.
Btw, in case it flew over anyones head, Norm is saying none of his batteries have had those failures due to impurities.

nice reply gharma. haha.
The size of the EMM mine is considerably larger than for the battery mine...or so my DD has suggested. Again, feel free to do your own DD. I believe it would be less.
As for proof on EMD/CMD/LMD side, I do not have the numbers. I would think to build the mine for the battery side would cost less but I am not sure. I know for a fact that EMD/CMD/LMD has a higher ROR than EMM. If you want numbers, you can go search them yourself and do your own DD.
I'm not trying to prove the economics behind budgeting AMY's finances...I, don't have to prove anything because I am not making statements suggesting where AMY is headed. I only point out the facts when I discuss on this forum and/or say what COULD happen if AMY signs a deal. We clearly know what will happen if they don't. However, regarding the company's finances, I, you, and anyone else here is in no shape to discuss their position based on opinion.
Use facts and numbers, otherwise hush hush.
I completely agree. We definitely need something tangible.
That was to Junk. My correction, Traderfan.
I would like to see your budget analysis, Traderfan. You seem to know exactly how and where they allocate their funds. Please provide a breakdown.
If you are going to make statements like those, stating "IMO," at least follow up with some sort of hard facts to prove your point. All we ask for on this board is solid proof to go along with your statements.
Ed...this isn't Apple. This is a penny stock. These are the things that happen. It only takes one deal to get things off the ground and what I said is completely true. So stop with the derogatory comments, sell your shares (if you have any) and move on.
I made sense in my post and I could careless about the PPS. One battery player is all AMY needs, the EMM is immaterial and with reductions to CAPEX OR EMM prices not being the worst case scenario, the NR yesterday is worth nothing.
The project is not economic...for EMM...using the worst case scenario which was INCLUDED on the PFS. Did you not read it? What if the price for EMM increases substantially - or at least more than the worst case scenario. That would make the project viable. Reduce CAPEX? Now that would also make the project viable.
Does the PFS contain ANY numbers regarding EMD/CMD/LMD? Any at all? I wonder how much it would cost to build a mine to produce the battery powders, I would think less.
For the battery companies interested in AMY's project, do you think they care that the EMM side is not economically viable? They could careless. They want the BATTERY numbers not EMM and I believe the EMD/CMD/LMD has a greater ROI than EMM, far greater.
Now if the government could kick in some funding for EMM for domestic use and strategic partners for the batteries...hmmm.
This is based on EMM...if they are still in talks with battery players (which they have stated numerous times), then this is all irrelevant when discussing EMD/CMD/LMD.
Check out SH and read Heavy's posts...
We don't know if it's good or bad....this can go either way. Anxiety is stressful
I think you meant they discuss poor earnings reports on Fridays...
Earnings reports are scheduled.
http://investing.money.msn.com/investments/market-earnings-calendar/?
http://www.cbc.ca/news/business/story/2012/08/24/score-media-stock.html?cmp=rss
Score Media was halted at noon on Friday and on Saturday it was announced Rogers would be acquiring the company.
Whoever said bad news happens on Fridays is wrong. This was a complete takeover.
Just something to think about.
Let's wait and see...
I don't think anyone basis their investing decisions primarily on barchart. However, the charts do not lie and it gives a secondary view.
Barchart isn't useless. It gives a recommendation and analysis based on technicals. Junior miners have hit their lows and will be bouncing back nicely. Broke the 50 day moving average yesterday. The market doesn't lie.
I don't want to be the guy who missed out on any news AMY could provide, that is all. There is no downside anymore.
Average cost: 32c
I'm confident because I see the big picture, Tiesto. I see how things are unfolding. I do my own DD, look at other companies and compare. When the SP is up, I will read your posts and I'll comment saying how "comical" they are...until then, keep telling me how bad management is.
Granting the options means nothing. No dilution. Put your own spin on it but it's immaterial when the SP starts to go up.
Granting the options means NOTHING.
I suppose you would do a better job? Are you the CEO of a company?
What about an offtake agreement, Chesterfield?
To the board:
What if all the negative posts about management - from board members - are obsolete because some corporations AGREE with what Larry Reaugh and team are doing and accept their management style? We have no idea what is happening behind the scenes. Everyone has their own spin on things....management style is definitely one of them.
GLTA :)
Look at American Vandium (AVC.V)
Check out their entire company profile and 1 year chart...resembles AMY. Chart looked terrible (similar to AMY). In the last 2 weeks it has gone from $0.37 (End of May) to $1.05 (today). Amazing how quickly it has shot up with no news releases. Green company (just like AMY)
The market isn't pleased with AMY right now, obviously. BUT!!!! since the Prefeas. there has been no negative news. We are all waiting to see how much cost-cutting can be done and for EMD results. Until then, we wait.
I don't think anyone on this board has credibility LOL.
We are all hiding behind monitors...typing as if we know everything. It's all talk on here. Users who type "JMO" or "IMO" are only "attempting" to save their credibility. As for Blairman's post...if he wrote JMO, you would not have replied...2guys does it, My69z (stockhouse) does it, Value1008 does it...it's part of the fun - speculating.
Only time will tell :) That's what makes investing in speculative stocks, interesting.
AMY needs financing...PROMOTION is really the only thing management can do to gain exposure while all tests are being run and reports are being filed (SEDAR). Sales and marketing is what lifts a company off the ground. i.e. I can hold the biggest diamond deposit in the world but if no one knows about me then how will I get the financing to mine? AMY does not hold the biggest manganese deposit in the world BUT it is the lowest-cost producer and economically viable. If no one knows about AMY, how will they get financing? Sales and marketing!
I hope Reaugh and team are finding strategic partners because what they hold is extremely valuable and once EMD tests are complete, the value of the company will grow significantly with positive results.
Everyone has their own management style...yes, the SP has decreased significantly for a variety of reasons but I can't see management not learning from mistakes. All those interviews had a purpose, PROMOTE PROMOTE PROMOTE!
Personally, I believe AMY has spent a significant amount of time with PR and their name is out there. Conferences, interviews, reports, news releases. This management team is doing a great job promoting...it's up to organizations looking for what AMY has to find them...and with all this exposure it is almost impossible not to see AMY.
Regardless, insider buying (for AMY and other companies) is a POSITIVE thing.
Obviously Macleod and Reaugh believe in AMY so they purchased shares. Macleod has purchased multiple times since the Prefeas. release...In the short term - with no news expected - insider buying is the only type of news we can be offered...and insider buying is an extremely positive thing.
Conclusion: For the time being, insider buying is EVERYTHING at this stage until a NR for the current projects.
Am I calling for AMY to return to the .20s? HECK YEAH! .30s? HECK YEAH! Well over the .60s? HECK YEAH! Eventually :)
- My word holds as much integrity as yours.
From Stockhouse:
Larry Reaugh purchased 200,000 shares at 0.75c on the open market Friday.
TD Waterhouse shows 1,901,237 for volume.
Of course I considered it. Mistakes are to be made, not all management is perfect....but great management is defined by those who overcome the obstacles created by others (shareholders/SP) and themselves.
