#32 Meditate on Gods Word _____ I have written unto you fathers, because you have known him that is from the biggining. I have written to you young men, because you are strong, and the word of God abides within you, and you have overcome the wicked one (I John 2:14).---------------------------------------------------------------------------One way the evil one desires to render a Christian ineffective is through depression. The young men referred to in this verse are described as strong. They were strong because the Word of God was in them. The Word of God can also make us strong today and, thus, less prone to depression. We should memorize it, meditate on it, and- most importantly- apply it to our lives.
#31 Meditate on Gods Word_____ It is the spirit that quickens; the flesh profits nothing: the words that I speak to you , they are spirit, and they are life (John 6:63). ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ God desires that we spend time in His Word because it gives "life." One way that God's Spirit ministers to our human spirit is through our meditating on God" love letter to us - His Word.
#30 Meditate on God's Word________ But his delight is in the law of the LOrd; and his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper (Ps. 1:2,3).----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In these verses we have the picture of a very stable man. We, too, can develope stability by delighting in Gods word. By meditating on Gods Word throughout the day ("day and night") we can be as strong as a tree planted by a river. We will bring forth fruit of the Spirit - love, joy and peace - rather than bitterness, depression, and anxiety. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> maybe we should plant some word in front of our computers so when we find out that BIPH just got a leg up a week after we sold, it wont make us sick to our stomach. LIWRHOW:QIur[mxpoJPOA IESJF! [Weopquh!. ok, im better now.
#29 Meditate on Gods Word ___ This book of law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is writen therein: for then thou shalt have good success (Josh. 1:8). ---------------------------------------------------------------To gain stability in life, nothing is more helpful than memorizing and meditating on Gods Word. God will slowly but surely chip away at problems in our life with His Word.
#28 Enjoy Christ ___ For the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death (Rom. 8:2, NASB). -----------------------------------------------------------------------Many of us regard God as a tyrant who puts us on a legalistic treadmill, demanding strict adherence to rigid laws. But God does not want us to be His slaves; rather His Spirit grants us a refreshing freedom. Gods principles are His gift of love to us. If we joyfully live according to Gods wise recommendations, then we will have love, joy, peace, and the other fruits of the Spirit. But if we self righteously and legalistically impose on ourselves rigid laws, thinking them to be from God, then we will suffer the concequences of the subtle form of "religious" sin. God wants us to enjoy "the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus," rather than to be bound by "the law of sin and of death."
#27 Learn to Rest in Christ ___ Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light (Matt. 11:28-30)------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------One symptom of depression is boredom. The every-day things that one used to enjoy (job, recreation, etc.) become laborious and tiresome. In this verse the depressed person is invited to embark on a supernatural adventure-the adventure of learning from the Scriptures and the Holy Spirit those things which produce the internal rest that only God can give. Many Christians try to cover up their sad emotions by taking on more and more work. They become workaholics to avoid looking at themselves or their true feelings. They fool themselves into thinking these additional responsibilities are from God. Then they get angry at God for giving them such a difficult yoke and such heavy burdens.
In reality, the difficult yoke and heavy burdens are not from God, but are self-imposed. They are a choice, perhaps handed down from a legalistic, negavitistic church. They may even be a compensation for suppressed inferiority feelings and a fear of failure. God wants us to cast off our self-imposed difficult tasks and heavy burdens and replace them with His easy yoke and light burden. We don't need to waste our time doing twenty superfluous chores a day to prove our worth. It is better to do every day two or three things which God convinces us to do, and to do them well!
# 26 Accept Christ as a New Resourse ___ Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new (II Cor. 5:17). ---------------------------------------------------------------------- The realization that Christ died for our sins and the acceptance of Him as our Savior can give us a tremendous resource for dealing with problems (including depression). When we accept Christ and turn from sin, we become new in our spirit. The Holy Spirit of God comes to indwell in us. He desires to transform our mind, emotions, and will over a period of time. It may not emmediately relieve depression, but it gives us a highly effective new resource for dealing with the depression.
this is good sound wisdom =o)http://investorshub.com/boards/read_msg.asp?message_id=5802401
#25 Depend on God _ _ _ _ _ _ _ And he said to me, My grace is sufficient for you: for My strength is made perfect in weakness. Most glady therefore will I glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. (II Cor. 12:9). ------------------------------------------------------------- The depressed person often has feelings of inadequacy out of all proportion to reality. He needs to realize that God's strength is "made perfect in weakness." Many Christians become discouraged by what they regard as their uncorrectable defects. They frequently even become angry at God for not making them perfect. In order to keep the apostle Paul humble, God gave him a physical defect (probably an eye disorder). Three different times Paul prayed in faith for God to heal him, but on all three occasions God said no. Paul resolved his inferiority feelings by depending on God to make the right decision, even though that meant he would be left with his infirmity. Paul turned his gloomy attitude to joy, deciding to glory in his infirmities, so the power of Christ could be demonstrated through him.
#24 Depend on God _ _ _ _ _ _ _ For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh) dwells no good thing; for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good i find not (Rom. 7:18). -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A legalistic attitude can add to an already existing depression. God desires for us to realize that the Christian life is a supernatural life and can be lived only through the power of the Holy Spirit.
#23 Trust God_ _ _ _ _ _ _ Casting all your cares upon him; for he cares for you (I Peter 5:7). -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The depressed individual may feel that no one cares. God cares and longs for the individual to know that He does. He desires that we turn over our anxieties to Him, believing He will help us. We should let God "worry" about the things we tend to get anxious about, for He won't develop ulcers or depression.
#22 Trust God_ _ _ _ _ _ _ I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me (Phil. 4:13. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Seventy-five percent of people who are significantly depressed feel they will ever get better. They are wrong. We can overcome depression through Christ. Sometimes the answers are not simple, but there definitly is hope. This verse proves that for the Christian there is no such thing as "cant." We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. It also show that we must participate with God. He won't make our depression go away automatically, but will give us the strength to do what He wants us to do. Passive Christians wait around for God to make their depressions go away without participating with God through responsible action-and then they wonder why they remain depressed for years and years.
#21 Trust God_ _ _ _ _ _ _ O wretched man that i am! who will deliver me from the body of this death? (Rom.7:24). ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Often those people who struggle with emotions that are difficult to handle can identify with this verse. They are confused as to the way out of this emotional entrapment. It is important for them to remember that there is a friend who will help. The victory can be won through Jesus.
YEEHAW! the anticipation is killin me! lol
picked up another guitar thursday, i think its a 1948 gibson lg 2, needs some tlc but will be in great shape after repairs are done. have a great weekend.
#20 Trust God_ _ _ Not by might, not by power, but by My Spirit says the Lord (Zech. 4:6b).---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------When one feels that depression is beyond what he can overcome, he needs to realize that God can overcome anything. No man can permanently concuer depression by his own might or power; he must rely on God's Spirit for strength and guidance.
#19 Trust God_ _ _The Lord is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and He knows them that trust in him (Nah. 1:7).---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------A strong need for security generally pervades the life of man. Depression often erodes our security. In this verse, God offers to be our strong hold - our security - if we put our trust in Him.
#18 Trust God_ _ _ For behold, I am for you, and I will turn unto you, and you will be tilled and sown (Ezek.36:9).-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Feelings of hopelessness and helplessness often pervade the life of the depressed person. The depressed person can be encouraged if he will notice in the Scriptures the nimerous times that God has helped those who have felt hopeless and helpless.
#17 Trust God_ _ _ For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end (jer.29:11). ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In this verse God was speaking to his children (Israel) while they were captives in Babylon. Today. He can encourage us when we are captives of depression. We can be assured the He wants us to experience an abundant life of joy and peace.
#16 Trust God_ _ _ And the Lord will guide you continually, and satisfy your soul in drought, and make fat your bones: and you will be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters will not fail (Isa. 58:11). --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- God promised the children of Israel that He wouold satisfy their "soul in drought." He can satisfy our soul today when we are in the drought of depression. He can make us like a well-watered garden or a perennial spring of water.
#15 Trust God___ But now thus saith the Lord that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine. When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee; when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee ( Isa.43:1,2).-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If we have turned from our way, then we belong to God. What God said years ago to the children of Israel, He says to us today, "Thou art mine." He will be with us when we pass through the waters-- the rivers will not overflow us.
#14 Trust God___ Do you not know? Have You not heard? The everlasting God, the Lord, the creator of the ends of the earth. Does not become weary or tired. His understanding is inscrutable. He gives strength to the weary, And to him who lacks might, He increases power. Though youths grow weary and tired, And vigorous young men stumble badly, Yet those who wait for the Lord WEill gain new strength; They will mount up with wings like eagles, They will run and not get tired, They will walk and not become weary. (Isa. 40:28-31, NASB) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- When we are depressed we become weary and tired, and may even stumble more. But God never wearies or tires. He desires to give us strength and to encourage us. He understands what we are going through. He sees through us and perceives even our unconscious and subconscious motives. He wants us to take up His strength in place of our weakness. HE wants us to wait for (depend on) Him to give us strength to do what He wants us to do.
#13Trust God ___ He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my steps (Ps 40:2).---------------------------------------------------------------------- God can bring us out the horrible pit of depression. He can give us stability. He can set our feet on solid rock. He can establish a behavior pattern (our "steps") that will bring us joy. If we do what God wants us to do, we will feel the way God wants us to feel.
#12 Trust God ___ The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and He delights in his way. Though he may fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the Lord upholds him with his hand (Ps 37:23,24). _----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------__ God does watch out for His children. He loves us beyond what we can comprehend. We can understand His love to some degree by considering how much we love our children. He is very concerned when we fall. He will protect us if only we will trust Him to order our steps. .... only 88 ways left, i think maybe we will go back for seconds tonight.
#11 Trust God___ I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart: wait, I say, on the Lord. 9Ps.27:13,14).__-------------------------------------------------------------------------_ One of the ways the we can wholesomely deal with the various traumas that we experience in life (including depression) is to actively expect that God will do for us that which He has said He will do. In this verse God promises that in time He will strengthen our hearts (minds, emotions, and will).

BUSINESS OPERATIONS
Homeland Security Technology, Inc. is comprised of two operating divisions: the Product Division and the Security Systems Division.
PRODUCT DIVISION
COMBAT TRAUMA BAG -- Under the product division, HST is marketing the Combat Trauma Bag to the US military. Currently, we have received and completed orders to the US government for 3,000 Combat Trauma Bags. We are actively pursuing contracts with the US Marine Corps and US Army for additional CTBs and are in the process of developing other innovative products for use by military and law enforcement personnel.
GPS SYSTEMS -- HST has completed the first phase of field testing of the hand-held GPS units with Iraq street maps. This testing was conducted by civilian contractors in Iraq. The units were based on a Magellan Sportrac model. After-action reports led to a second-generation, hand-held GPS based on a Garmin model. This new model has increased functionality, color screen, larger field of view and more maps. The new unit also has built-in functions for updating maps and routing capabilities. The Garmin models will be tested by US Marines in Iraq and Afghanistan. The US government is the target customer for these units.
SECURITY SYSTEMS DIVISION
PowerShield Safety and Security Film -- HST's management team has done exhaustive research in the area of ballistics and blast mitigation. Our management team has consulted with the world's leading experts in this field and has recently entered into a strategic relationship with a global industrial conglomerate. This agreement is focused on commercializing certain technology designed to address the ever-increasing threat and safety risk associated the collateral damage emanating from explosive blasts and firearms. HST has privately labeled the laminate and it will be marketed under the name "PowerShield."
PowerShield is a paper-thin, woven Poly Carbonate, adhesive-backed film that, when applied to the inside of glass, makes the glass impenetrable to attack. Marketed as both a blast mitigant and an invisible barrier against smash-and-grab-type attacks, this product has passed testing by the GSA, NIJ and Blast Mitigation Action Group. By bonding to the glass, PowerShield creates an invisible barrier to attackers by strengthening the glass and holding it together to reduce the risk of injury caused by glass fragmentation.
HST has placed the laminate on military vehicles at Camp Pendleton, and is sending pre-cut paste-and-stick kits to Marine Corps units in Iraq for testing.
HST will be marketing this product to government and civilian markets. Tests are currently underway and the company has received initial orders and inquiries to place the laminate on private residences in California, on jewelry store windows and display cases, and on gas station convenience store windows.
Wireless CCTV Security Systems -- HST markets and coordinates the installation of security systems for homeland security markets, including commercial, residential and government clients. Currently, HST has a strategic alliance with a leading surveillance company, with advanced systems in place throughout the country.
This security system has been installed in some of the leading retail chains in the country, and HST, through its strategic partners, can offer the technology, manufacturing and financial capability to provide security systems on a nationwide basis for Fortune 1000 companies. Target markets include remote surveillance systems for convenience stores, retail chains, fast-food outlets and other multi-facility organizations.
HST is marketing a web-based remote surveillance system allowing management to remotely view operations from anywhere in the world via secure server technology. Features include pan-and-tilt cameras; night optics; audio interactivity; and compressed, archiveable storage capability with instant retrieval. This technology fills a much-needed void in the security industry. Having the technological capability to remotely monitor multiple facilities from one location has tremendous advantages over systems where the data is stored in each individual site. Reducing the terrorism threat; controlling employee shrinkage; and reducing theft, vandalism and crime are huge concerns in corporate America. The technology is a cost-effective solution to mitigating the damage and economic loss associated with these security risks.

#10 Trust God_ _ _ _ _ _ _ The Lord is my shepperd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; he leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul (Ps. 23:1-3a)._--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------__ This is one of the most quoted passages in the Bible. God has used it through the centuries to comfort many hearts, to restore many souls. If I will trust God, He will shepherd me, lead me beside still waters, and restore my soul. What a tremendous comfort!
#9 Trust God_ _ _ _ _ _ _ God is not man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: has he said, and will he not do it? or has he spoken, and will he not make it good?()Num. 23:19)._-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------__ When a person becomes depressed he often finds it difficult to believe that anyone is genuinely interested in him. One's confidence in others (including God) often becomes shaken. God wants to reassure us that He is actively at work in our lives even though we may not be aware of his faithfulness to us. He won't lie to us. He will make His promises good. But many chronically depressed Christians fail to responsilbly handle thier interalized anger and refuse to do what they need to do to get over thier depression. They blame God for not making thier depression disappear, though in reality the responsilility is thier own.
#8 Draw Close To God_ _ _ _ _ _ _ Is any thing too hard for the Lord? (Gen. 18:14a).__-----------------------------------------------------------__When individuals say, "I can't," what they usually mean is, "I won't." When anyone says he cant get over his depression, he might well encourage himself by recalling this rhetorical guestion which God asked of Abraham. For the Christian can do all things, including getting over depression, through Christ who strengthens him. Nothing is too hard for the Lord!
#7 Draw Close To God_ _ _ _ _ _ _ He that spared not His own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall He not with HIm also freely give us all things? (Rom. 8:32).___----------------------------------------------------------------------------____ Persons who have had a lifelong habit of handling problems by becoming depressed, angry, or worried need to learn more satisfactory and effective ways of handling thier problems. It is helpful to recognize that our heavenly Father, who was willing to spare His own Son's life for us, stands willing and ready to give us "all things." The phrase "all things" can definitely include eventual victory over a depressive life style. The fruits of drawing close to God and yielding to His Spirit are love, joy, and peace; they replace our human tendency toward bitterness, depression, and anxiety
#6 Draw Close To God_ _ _ _ _ _ _ For you have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but you have received the spirit of adoption, by whom we cry out, Abba, Father (Romans.8:15).____---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------___ The depressed person feels as though he is in bondage. He is in bondage to his depression. God has reminded us the He is our Father, and He wants us to talk to him about our fears. To some extent our perents may have accepted us conditionally. We may, at times, have feared thier rejection if we did not live up to thier expectations. In that sence, we were in bondage to them. Thier rejections lowered our self-esteem. Our heavenly Father, on the other hand, is perfectly loving. If we have turned toward him, we are adopted into his eternal family. He accepts us unconditionally, as only God can; and we are no longer under a "spirit of bondage again to fear," as we were with our imperfect human perents.

Ripley, Believe It Or Not: 70M Shares Trade After Michigan Man Puts Them All in Sock Drawer
(financialwire.net via COMTEX) --
March 4, 2005 (FinancialWire) A Michigan man, Robert C. Simpson, who claims to have acquired 100% of the issued and outstanding stock of Global Links Corp. (OTC: GLKCE), if true, is likely to become the poster boy for those opposed to illegal naked short sales.
Illegal naked short sales have mostly victimized small companies such as Global Links, but has also been cited as problematic for large companies such as Martha Stewart Living OmniMedia (NYSE: MSO), Krispy Kreme Doughnuts (NYSE: KKD) and Overstock (NASDAQ: OSTK), whose CEO is said to have helped write a national ad on the subject in the Washington Post directed to President George Bush.
Simpson filed a U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission Schedulce 13D ( http://xml.10kwizard.com/filing_raw.php?repo=tenk&ipage=3299823) on February 3, showing his purchase of and sole voting power for 1,158,209 shares of the corporation.
Yet, here's the rub:
The day after Simpson purportedly stuck every last corporate certificate for Global Links in his sock drawer, the company traded 37,044,500 shares. The next day it traded 22,471,600 share. Thursday it traded 199,616.
Simpson is said to have gone back to his sock drawer, and despite the fact that a sock or two, as is always the case, were missing, all 1,158,209 Global Links certificates were still there.
Observers are asking where those other millions and millions of certificates are therefore coming from.
Hmmmmm.
The San Antonio Express-News raised the question this week as to how Congress could seriously consider placing Social Security into what it inferred is a "mess."
