Is trading still stopped? I'm not showing any volume.
I haven't checked on this stock for over a month, and now I find out that all Hell broke lose! Talk about reliving the past! Reading through the last 200 or so posts was like reliving the last 8 years.
Were we really up to 84 cents US?
Davd D.
I might be a buyer again if the price drops enough. I am sure that they will come up with something to boost the share price in the future.
OK, who the heck are you, and what have you done with the REAL Bugsy??
Don't the shareholders have a right to know the details of the settlement?
Not if the judge says no, or if non-disclosure is part of the settlement itself.. There are many possible reasons for keeping it secret, and yes, ONE of those possibilities would be to screw the shareholders.
Regarding the "secret" settlement, do we know why it is secret, at who's behest? Perhaps Briscoe is the one who demanded it be secret? In any case, it is probably part of the settlement that it be secret.
Let's hope that this "dog's" bark will be louder than the bite was!

Thanks for the info 403...

Hmmm...
No posts in 11 days. Did everyone sell their holdings??
D.
So long SHEBA, and good luck to you as well.

Dave D
Gee, I come back from vacation and post, and then everyone shuts up?? LOL!
I have a question. I have been getting quotes on FreeRealTime, even though we are not listed on the OTC?? I'm sure these are US amounts being shown (ASPGF). This morning, they have a new recent high of .325.

Dave D
Well...
Quite a lively exchange here while I was away for a week! Assuming we are all invested in Aspen, perhaps it would be good to try and keep our posts constructive (NOT the same as positive) in some way.
Yes, there are many of us still here from the days of Cotton Valley, and we are licking our wounds. Some of us are also stewing in our own juices (one in particular), but as investors, we should at least try and remain objective.
Opinions are just that - opinions. We have negative and positive opinions represented on this board, and that is actually a healthy thing.
Where opinions can become something else (and possibly something akin to slander) is when the opinions are extreme AND not supported with some kind of fact.
If your opinion is that "Current management are actively trying to defraud the investors," that becomes an accusation which requires some kind of logic or facts to back it up.
The same would be true of an opinion that "this stock will be above a dollar by the end of the year."
Unsupported, those kinds of 'opinions' qualify as "pumping" or "bashing." Pumping and/or bashing are destructive activities. We need to remain constructive (i.e. cautious optimism or buffered pessimism).
PS - Welcome to those who are new here!

But,I will give this new team some time to turn things around. It looks like they are taking some steps in the right direction
OK, who the Hell are you, and what have you done with Bugs????
They stated their projections not me. They didn't miss by a little either. What do you think about investors spending their money on inf.like that Dave? Oh yes it was the previous mangt.that made these outlandish projections but it's still Aspen Group shares.
Now for you Dave,IMO it will be a long long time before they come close to reaching their previously stated projections,IF EVER.
Hey bug man - don't get angry with me. You are the one making statements as if they were absolutes. The last sentence was all you needed to post.
it will be a long long time before they come close to reaching their previously stated projections
Bugsy - is the above an opinion, or do you have some facts we don't know about - you stated this as an absolute.
8^)
Dave D
why do you make such assumptions
Bugs always makes the very worst possible assumptions, or at least he posts that he does.
ANY step in the right direction is a GOOD thing!
8^)
Dave D
Really? Hmmm.. Well, I cannot deny it, but I was unaware that bald-face lies could be put on official company filings without the sh*t hitting the fan.
But then again, I'm a bit naive in these matters!
Let's hope that new management is on the up-and-up, and turns this thing around.
But then again - how can we tell. The old management appeared to be doing a great job after they took over, and up until the R/S.

In answer to those who seem to suggest that Aspen has NEVER had the appearance of a company with a lot of potential, or had any profits, and to those who claim anyone who was EVER positive on the company were "pumping," here is an old post from 2/14/2001 (just after the dreaded R/S). Who ever posted this got the info from the Company's filings. If they (the actual filings) were lies, I had not seen that said anywhere
*** OLD INFORMATION ***
Just went through a 7:1 reverse split, not. Read on.
Has increased asset value 80,640% ($135,000 to $109,000,000 at $4.07 mcf now trading at $6/mcf) with 70% of undeveloped reserves unaudited, and due any day now. This number very likely could end up between $160-$200 million.
Has increased BOE production over the last 18 months from 4BOE/day to 1000BOE/day nearly 25,000%.
Has participated in 50 wells over the last 6 months, with projected 110-120 over fiscal year 7/1/2000-6/31/2001.
Just reported its 6th consecutive quarter of overall increasing revenue, and cash flow.
Just reported its 6th consecutive quarter of positive earnings.
Just reported 2Q 2001 looking like this,
.......................quarter.........ytd (6 months)
Revenue..... 3.035 million.... 5.223 million
cash flow.... 1.5 million.... 2.410 million
earnings...... 1.001 million.... 1.435 million
Has fiscal ytd earnings of $0.08/share yielding a PE of 16.25 ytd. (1st 2 quarters earnings only)
has fiscal ytd cash flow of $0.013/share yielding a P/CF of 10 ytd.
Likely to have a fiscal year end PE of 7 from estimated $.019/share earnings at $1.30 share price
Likely to have a fiscal year end P/CF of 4.3 from estimated $$0.30/share cash flow at $1.30 share price
Had earnings of $0.01/ for fiscal year 2000
Will have close to 2,000% increase in earnings in fiscal year 2001 over fiscal year 2000.
Has 1st 6 month percentage increases over last year like this.
- Net Income Increases 1,100% to $1.4 million - Cash Flow Increases 980% to $2.4 million - Revenue Increases 300% to $5.2 million
Has net asset value per share nearly 4 times the current trading price, with 70% of undeveloped reserves to be audited.
Has planned buyback of 12.5 million pre-split shares in progress with 1-2 million shares already purchased as of late December. This number likely has increased.
Is using reverse split to get share price to qualifying level for Toronto stock exchange, A more senior exchange thus reducing or eliminating dramatic effect of MM manipulation.
Is getting listed on senior exchange in order to allow institutional investors whom have previously expressed interest in company the ability to purchase shares under there charters which disallow owning otcbb listed issues. (perhaps this one is wishful thinking at best).
Is about to get that TSE listing soon
As I have said, those of us who were positive on the company at the time were not babbling or "pumping." We were posting information that came from "official channels." Yes, after that point a lot of lies and fraud became known, and after a brief rise, the stock price slowly sunk into the dust.
8^0
Dave D
So in reality you don't have a clue as to what your blabbing about
Well. if you can show me something I've posted that qualifies as "blabbing," and is completely incorrect, then do so. Perhaps you could actually gain a nano-bit of credibility, but I doubt it.
8^)
Dave D
Well. maybe, but for a time there, the quarterly reports filed with the SEC showed profits, and double-digit increases in profits for several quarters.
Are you suggesting that the filed documents were lying?
This was back before the R/S (something like the first year or two after Jack took over), and was one reason I was adding to my position at that time. Balance sheet looked impressive, but stock price stayed low.
Granted, after that we got screwed several times, in several ways, and by several people.
8^)
Dave D
Problem is he never produced profits with those assets
Never? When I first got in Aspen, there were multiple quarters of double-digit percentage profit increases. Profits were positive and getting bigger.
Problem was, it NEVER seemed to impact the stock price (this was long before the R/V, by the way).
8^)
Dave D
but you rather dwell on the past obsessing over the "SPLIT".
Welcome to doom-and-gloom "bugs land." Bugs has been pissing & moaning, sighing & crying, mewling & puking, and mouthing extreme negativity ever since the far-distant R/V was first announced. He took it real personal, but I think he likes negativity.
R/V is now ancient history, but caution is always a good thing.
8^)
Dave D
No, I sold it on the OTC - I suppose. I just put in a sell on my ETRADE account, and it went within an hour. I set the limit at the ASK on the OTC (FreeRealtime quote).
Why - I needed a little cash to chase another worthless stock! LOL!
Strange. I sold a small amount about 4 weeks ago through ETrade, and paid the usual $20 commission. I believe it went at the OTC price as well.
8^)
Dave D
Do we know what is bringing it up??
8^)
Dave D
OT - NSKY?? Hey, I made money on that dog!
Yes, it is me - still kicking.
8^)
Dave D
Don't want to sound like a novice, but what does "uting" mean?
8^)
Dave D
Yes - 31 cents on the OTC.
8^)
Dave D
This had a R/S, and there are still this many shares outstanding??
8^O
Dave D
LOL! Yes, of course. Just an example. I've always been leary of companies with extremely large OS, But I'm still in here.
8^)
Dave D
GYFY - I'm wondering just what kind of a price this stock can reach with the LARGE OS it has??? Wouldn't the company have to be worth a billion for the stock to reach a dollar?
8^)
Dave D
ETrade and FreeRealTime show HOD at .005 as well.
8^)
Dave D
GYFY - Today's high on this was .005?? When did that happen (that is what FreeRealTime is saying)?
8^)
Dave D
Did I see a .0021 trade go by on GFYF while the B/A were still .0024/.0025?
8^)
Dave D
Nope - still in.
8^)
Dave D
GFYF - finally filled at .0019
8^)
Dave D
WNMI - I was sitting at the ask of .014 for several minutes. ETrade never filled me.
8^(
Dave D
Am I correct in thinking that a much smaller percentage of the outstanding shares being "closely held" could result in higher volume but less volatile share price?
Welcome to the board...
It is interesting that you came from the Endeavor side. Most of us here came from the Aspen side (I invested when it was still ?? Cotton Valley ??).
I got in at about the same time that Jack Wheeler & friends took over the company (which was bankrupt at the time) and continued to invest as Aspen appeared to turn around (we had double-digit increases in profits for several consecutive quarters). However, the stock price never seemed to follow the profits. Perhaps others knew what was going on behind the scenes.
Then came the dreaded reverse split. The stock took a beating on the news, but rebounded a little after the RS. But then it started a long period of slow but steady decline, and we started finding out about all the shenanigans going on.
I've been in a wait-and-see mode ever since.
PS: Don't mind Bugsey - he is our official king of negativity. On the other hand, we don't need any pumping either. Some things we see and hear are good, and some are bad.
What's a good sell point for UNSP?
