Here's the problem with reverse splits, and I've been through them before.
Like the example posted here earlier. Yes your value is the same after the reverse. From .0085 before to .2125 after...all that is true. But and it's a big but, now the stock has much further to fall then before. When it was at .0085, there wasn't much room but at .2125 there is lot's of room. So, unless there is a huge announcement after the split that supports the new stock price, it will begin an unstoppable fall back to the trips again. It may take awhile, but if there's nothing to support the price, it will fall. You can bet on it.
One share was probably a test to see if the stock was still trading and active. Just a guess. I have 25,000 shares from March 2009. Been sitting in my account since then. The newron website seems to be up to date although there is no investors tab or even a mention of the stock. Wonder if it still has any value or if it's still active.
Couldn't agree with you more.
Go back about 8 years worth of all the messages here. Take out Igor's name and insert Tony's name. You will think you stepped into a time machine. Same messages, same hype, just different name. Save your money.
You guys have me to blame for the pps going down. I bought some stock last week. If I hadn't bought any, the pps would have gone up. I'll try not to buy any more. lol
The problem is that, after the r/s to 60 cents, it can go right back down to .01 Happens all the time.
So what will the Reverse Split be? 1:10,000 1:100,000 lol
In August, 2011 I bought 50,000 shares of Baltia @ .055
I've watched this message board on and off since then, 6 years, and almost nothing has changed. In fact, I could hold a piece of cardboard over the dates and read the same postings over and over again and not know what year I was looking at because the postings never change. It always, just around the corner, things are going to explode, hang on for the ride, etc. etc.
I'm sure 6 years from now it'll be the same thing and the same posters who answered me back then, will answer me now saying I'm wrong. Well, maybe this one time all you guys are right and I really am wrong but, not likely. Baltia is one of those bottomless pits we all find from time to time and get caught up in.
Good luck to all and let's see if you're right this time.
I'd buy a billion shares for $50.00 just for the fun of saying I owned a billion shares of something. lol
39,000,000 share volume. Who the heck is buying this junk? lol
Wanted to have at least one message for 2016. It may take awhile but those of us who are long NMM will have their patience rewarded. Hopefully by sometime in 2017.
One of my best, dumb ideas, was buying Baltia stock in May, 2010 and got rid of it a short time later when I realized what it was. But, just for fun, I stop by now and then to read these posts. Nothing has changed in all those years. In fact, you can go back and read those posts from 6 years ago and they are the same today, just a different date. I'm amazed, after Bernie Madoff, that the SEC let's this go on but it's probably under their radar. Anyway, have fun folks. I know I do reading these from time to time.
Scottrade accepted my shares without any problems. They've been in my account for a week now. Don't understand what TD Ameritrade's problem is with ELIO. They must know that other brokers are accepting it and the stock is trading everyday now, like any other stock. Be nice to know what their reasoning is.
I just checked my Scottrade account and my shares are there in my account so, obviously the transfer went through okay.
I don't understand why Scottrade would give different responses to different people depending on which Scottrade office you call. I would assume they have a policy nationwide and individual offices aren't free to make their own decisions but it sounds like stock owners are getting different answers from them.
Not sure what that's all about.
That leaves me scratching my head jimmirehman. On the one hand, regulatory agencies are the ones who approve being able to be listed, buy and sell, etc. in the first place. But it seems the same agencies are saying we approved them, but broker's shouldn't accept them. Make sense to anyone??
When you say 'no broker will touch them' that's not exactly true.
I use Scottrade and they have no problem with Elio stock. My transfer request is being processed ok.
To Highlander 1
Scottrade is processing my request for transfer. The shares haven't shown up yet but the request has not been cancelled and is still pending. Scottrade gave me a Transfer ID number. I called VStock and gave them that number which they confirmed and my shares will probably show up anytime now. Sorry to hear about TD Ameritrade saying yes then no. Not sure what the issue could be with them.
I will post another reply here when my shares actually appear in my account.
Madghost
I also have Scottrade. My paperwork for transfer went through okay. Scottrade accepted the request. I'm waiting for the shares to show up in my account.
By the way, VStock charged me 85.00 to make the transfer which I later found out was incorrect. Elio is paying all charges. When my check clears, VStock said they would send me a refund.
This is nuts. I bought 50 shares @ 12.00 from the private offering on startengine.com.
Now they show 62.00 at my broker. All this without any car being produced and sold. Crazy.
I've seen a couple posts here about people not being able to buy at the private offering price. Actually, anyone could have bought during the open period on the Startengine.com crowd funding site. That's where I bought mine at 12.00 per share with a 50 share minimum. Since the offering closed, my shares have been sent to a stock transfer company and I'm in the process now of transferring them to my brokers account. My broker accepted the request to transfer and I'm waiting for my shares to show up in my account. Probably next week sometime.
If you go to startengine.com, you will still see Elio Motors there however it also says the stock offering is closed and no longer accepting investments. There are 7 other companies in various stages of development on the web site for you to investigate if you wish.
I mentioned here awhile ago that my broker, Scottrade, would not allow market orders on penny stocks. Scottrade will only allow me to place limit orders. I don't recall exactly but I believe the stock must be above $1.00 per share to qualify for market orders.
Can't speak for other brokers but Scottrade wont let you make a market order for bulletin board and pink sheet stocks like BHRT. You have to make a limit order.
Heading for certain death. The dreaded .0001 the graveyard of all dead companies.
I read 'Dark Pools'. Pretty scary stuff. Better to just lay down and let a steam roller run over you. No chance for us little guys with a few thousand shares. lol
At first, I got real excited to see a big name news, CNN, reporting on Baltia. Then, after checking, I see that CNN ireport is nothing more than people sending in their own stories.
It's nice seeing CNN on the headline but it's nothing more than a fancy version of this site.
At the risk of showing my ignorance, what is CDEL.
Benster. Ok
Benster. Sorry to be a wet blanket but, and it's a big but, no one here, including you (correct me if I'm wrong) has ever said an actual name. You say I spoke with someone, I have a friend who says, a person in the business, etc etc. Now if you or anyone else were to say..I spoke with Bill Johnson at the FAA in Michigan, or I spoke with Dick Stewart who works at JP Morgan who has a couple million invested. In other words, no one names names, it always the mysterious 'someone' or a 'friend'. Sorry but perhaps you can understand my reluctance to get excited about Baltia. And by the way, if I'm wrong, nothing would make me happier than to see Baltia finally on the way to St Petersburg.
Benster. It also says at the top of the press release that
"The Wall Street Journal news department was not involved in the creation of this content". That doesn't sound like normal, everyday, news reporting.
You're absolutely right Mithrandir. If Baltia had any chance of actually flying, any serious investor would have been involved long before now. The pps will always tell the true story regardless of PR's or anything else. Does anyone really think a start up airline, in this economy, with a real possibility to take off, could have or would have escaped the attention of the investing world and wall street? Not likely. Baltia moves the 706 around a few times every couple months and issues PR's now and then but has no possibility of ever flying. I too was caught up in the excitement a few years ago and bought a few shares (100,000) but it didn't take long to realize I was taken. I didn't lose much and now I just follow the news as an interest story, but no one would consider it an investment by any stretch of the word. GLTA
As always, wishing Baltia good luck. Hope she flies someday.
I'm sorry but the only 10 Baltia will ever see will have at least two zeros on the left side of it followed by a decimal point.
Everyone here is overlooking that Baltia only has one airplane. No matter how much they want to start flying, it would be impossible to succeed with only one plane. Unless they have plans to get another one operational very quickly, just regular maintenance will ground the one they have from time to time and that means no revenue and no flights. What passenger would want to book a flight with the possibility of having it cancelled because of some problem and no backup aircraft to bring in. Anyone want to respond to this?
Well said starchaser.
Wow. Glad I got out at 0.021
Everyone is waiting for Baltia to succeed. If Baltia does succeed what I'll be waiting for then is a reverse split which will wipe everyone out. I'm sure it's coming regardless of what some say here.
Got a letter from my broker. BioSolar is increasing authorized shares to 500,000,000. Also authorized is 10,000,000 shares of blank-check preferred stock, whatever that is. A majority of share holders approved it without a stockholders meeting according to the letter. This is effective in about 20 days or so.
Well said Abimbola, well said.
