Yeah how many times have I heard that it was going to run? Not buying it this time. On what actual news is this supposed run going off of? What official press release has come out and confirmed a new opening? Is Jersey or Florida locations officially ope
n yet?
Howabout 2 words....bad investment. Actually one word would suffice about this investment....Titantic. I haven't seen anything from this except a bunch of fluff. Just a bunch of people talking big game, but lacking in actually producing results. In these uncertain economic times I could need the necessity to raise some cash flow, but not at the expense of the investors. Come on SNRY, show me, don't blow my cash out of the water.
Dude you can have a great business model, but without the proper management and publicity, you won't have a future. And that's something we all agree on is that this stock needs a future. Why am I not seeing this thing on twitter weekly? Why hasn't this reality tv show thing come to fruition? Come on guys. Uhhh what do you guys say....oh yeah WAKE UP and smell the coffee.
Yeah, I couldn't understand why you took it the wrong way, but we all interpret the same information differently hence the children's game "Telephone". I really hope BUCS makes me some money. I sure could use some good news.
Excuse me, can someone explain how the following phrase is a personal attack, but is rather a statement asking the poster to provide proof for a vague statement. The phrase is, "please put your facts where your keyboard is." Quite simply this means that you use your fingers to type in the facts that your did not include in your statement. So how is this detrimental to BUCS or the poster? There was no malicious intent and in fact I was doing a parody of the quote from TOP GUN in which Maverick is told that his mouth writes checks his " " can't cash.
Actually it was late april or early may that this stock was down to a penny. At the very least it was 3 months ago. But yes it was down at a penny and we all know it shot up to .84 and then dropped down to .06 last week. Not exactly a good sign of a company going places besides straight down. So again I ask my original question, why would you say this stock is going for a significant run?
When someone makes a statement like that, "ten times" I tend not to believe until I've seen proof that in fact the stock is ten times what it was 2 months ago. On what do you base this statement?
Well I thought absurd was a little over the top. It's just ineffective.
Book value higher. The stock price doesn't matter. In 1999 Sprint did a 2 for 1 split which would make the stock half as expensive even though we all know splits are just cosmetic to entice investors who were once intimidated by the higher stock price. Anyway I will be long, but when I originally bought my intention was to be short. Oh well.
Well the DD I've seen, Sprint may be in trouble with a capital AT&T. Read my previous posts about the potential threat of ATT. I see a potential for Sprint being driven under like Netflix did to blockbuster. They lost tons of customers this last quarter and they just can't compete.
Ok I've been to WA (your state apparently) and Seattle. The drive thru for regular good coffee may be very convenient, but those customers are there for the coffee not the pretty women. Now the main focus of BCCI is beautiful women who just happen to serve coffee from drive thru stands. While in line you don't get to see these ladies for very long and that is the main objective of these stands....sex sells. Big deal if 2 Hooters closed down in Seattle, they have tons of restaurants and lots of competition. That right there should tell you that in a city like Seattle apparently sex does not sell. And in this downbeat economy people will make adjustments to their daily lives to include their vices ie coffee and cigs. And of course the bad publicity doesn't help attract customers.
Wow how creative, wake up and smell a better business. Give this debate up. BCCI is lacking in originality and its business practices ie not paying its employees is suspect the say the least. Now I hope BCCI does well, but right now with the direction they're headed in this downward economy they won't be as successful as we all wish they would be. BH needs to at the very least have a board of directors that can advise him instead of one guy making all the decisions. He kind of reminds me of General Haig from WWI who arguably was the worst General in WWI. He would make a plan and stick to it no matter the casualties and would stubbornly advance his men thru rain and whatever else got in his way. BH stubbornly will stay on this path and will not make enough money to be truly successful. I just hope he doesn't disappoint us all with his rigid thinking and lack of creativity.
Lol yes BH will do what he wants like some child not a ceo. I want a man who is creative and flexible running a successful company. Rigid thinking is a recipe for failure so if u want to follow a business model in a saturated market that hasn't been significantly successful. None of us want to see the same old broke system. We want to see something unique and different. This tired model may make some money but certainly not enough. In order to thrive in such a saturated market u have to stand out in the crowd and BCCI has not done this.
Yes but the whole debt debacle made people aware of just how disfuntional our politics can be. And maybe just maybe the 2012 elections will result in something positive. But right now shareholders are unsure.
Wait you invested in two companies that compete with one another, lol? Wow! Isn't that kinda like shooting yourself in the foot? Shouldn't you be diversified? I could see maybe investing in a cell carrier and then in tech, but that would be as close as I would go.
Ok, if you say so, but right now traders are trading on Macroeconomics...you know big picture stuff. Headlines are dominating the market right now and until Europe gets its crap together and until America gets politicians who are honest and not buried in their own self interest, this market will remain stagnant. We all get locked into that feeling of normalcy that eventually things will return to what we feel is normal, but I believe this is only the beginning of something worse. We shall see.
Are you seriously kidding? No as I've pointed out before drive thrus are not the way; sit down establishments especially for something that is visually appealing is the way. No one is going to go thru and wait multiple times at a drive thru. Why? Let me ask the question to everyone. Who out there would willingly put themselves in line to waste time and gas? Wait, who has that kind of time? I know I don't and your average joe, that this business is trying to appeal to doesn't have the time. Secondly while you're waiting in line you really don't have a good view of the ladies and it's not until you're the one being waited on that you can actually get a good look at the ladies. And Hooters isn't doing well. I searched the net to see what the heck you were talking about. The Casino in Nevada is, but as this article I've posted clearly says, the restaurants are not affected. So I guess that would be "Check" and "Mate".

I don't think you're understanding my point. If they continue with the drive thru idea, their customers are going to go there once a day and only get to look for a short time. Now if you have a sit down coffee shop with beautiful women, the guys will spend more possibly and certainly will give bigger tips. Keeping the guys engaged and interested is how this business will thrive, not with a quick peekaboo. And the fact that they haven't makes me question their business sense and their long term motivations. Because long term even if they open 10 more stores in the next 5 to 8 years across the country, they're not going to make that much unless they change the format to a sit down Hooters style experience.
You probably know as well as I do that the WA strip clubs suck, not that I make a habit out of frequenting them, however those I supervised did and they weren't impressed. And Bikini Baristas will thrive in an environment like that, however the strip clubs in TX are a completely different story. Unless the girls really turn on their "A" game, there might not be a whole lot of interest, but I will admit that TX doesn't really have the Bikini Baristas down there yet so maybe it will work to their advantage.
Well I'm not talking about those in WA. I lived in WA so yes I'm familiar with them, but the one is San Antonio is in a seedy area, and that fact was actually being praised. They were trying to put a positive spin on a negative event, kinda like the media. That's what I was referring to. BTW I've also lived about 180 miles from San Antonio in a small town called Houston and I have seen my fair share of seedy areas and they're not areas you want to have your business.
I wouldn't count on this stock going anywhere right now until we hear big news. On the 3 positive upswings we had last week, this stock did not significantly move and has stayed stagnant. I believe this stock may go below 3 and that's when I'm buying more.
Come on I just said I thought Ford was a great company and that their impending lower stock price will not be the fault of their great business, but that of scared investors. Please listen, scared investors leave companies that they think will be affected by the recession that "will" happen very soon if it hasn't already. They will instead go for dividend yielding stocks and safer stocks. Scared investors like to sell and ask questions later after the smoke clears.
Yeah, but good business and common sense isn't what some investors on this board are interested in. They are interested in the hype and the flawed business model. Because of their bias they don't analyze the info they're being fed and then question the way in which it is presented and whether it could be done differently. But I've noticed this isn't what investors on this board are looking for. They're looking to praise without thinking and considering all options and realizing that there is more than one way to skin a cat....meow. I've done my DD and my analysis and right now I'm not convinced that this company will produce on all their promises. Their advertising is not up to the task and they're not really trying to make this a successful business by really revolutioning the Barista business with sit down areas inside the building. And they're putting them in seedy areas in which your average Joe will not be willing to go. And yet they're praised for this horrible practice. Wake up investors, don't drink the Koolaid.
Trust me when I say that I'm a strong supporter and believer in ford. Both my vehicles are Fords, however this market and Ford's Stock price over the next few weeks or months will depend on how scared stockholders are and not on the great business that is Ford. I sold Ford at a minor loss because I believe I can buy it much cheaper on the way down. I may be wrong, but that's what I believe and I'm not the only one.
I would have to agree. We are far from the bottom. I believe that most people have a false optimism that things will have to get better, but this volatility in the market should be proof enough that the water is going to break and lots of investors are going to get hosed.
I thought it was weird that he was going to tell us about charts that he didn't provide. If anyone was negative or rude it was him, which is proved by that message being deleted. I still believe in BUCS, it's just that sometimes I'll see a vague message that tries to give a positive outlook without actually saying anything significant. It's exactly what the coffee stock that will remain nameless did and we see where that went.
Well I wouldn't say the business model is absurd. I just don't think that BH has got it right. They really do need to somehow make it more appealing to both sexes while not taking away from their main idea of hot looking women serving coffee. I really wish they would have sit down coffee shops instead of these stupid drive thrus. How stupid is just driving thru and seeing the women for a minute or two and then have to leave? Now if they can stay for 15 minutes to 45 minutes then maybe they'll be successful. We'll just have to wait and see what happens.
Ok so what's the deal? I didn't see anything about SNRY. What was your point?
That's exactly what I've been talking about. We haven't heard a single peep from that guy they hired from Jiffy Lube and shouldn't he be marketing duh? Either they're guilty of severely under advertising or they're incompetent at advertising...or BCCI didn't put up that website. Hmmmmm, just kidding about the last part.
Are you guys kidding? No "seedy" is bad, why? Well howabout all the bad press that some of the Bikini coffee stands are receiving and the reported prostitution. Being in a seedy area only means that our investment is not secure and the business model is not one of making money. If you put them in middle class areas they will sell. You don't have to attract the scum that probably won't settle for just seeing without touching. No way. You guys are kidding yourselves.
Please explain, why does next week look promising?
Ok, well I can live with that........I think? Thanks for the explanation. I've got my fingers crossed.
Sorry, but I'm going to have to agree with Florida. Unless for some reason pumpers are trying to artificially inflate the stock price. I see it maybe reaching 9 cents before it crashes down to the 4 or 5 cent range. Granted I do expect another run, but not so soon after the last one. And what led you to believe it would double in price anyway?
Thanks, yeah I'll probably average down if I can, but right now I'm trying to not add money to my portfolio. I'm trying to stick with what I have.
Thanks for the info. Yes so please explain to me what that means exactly. I know that it is used to announce major events that shareholders should know about. But that could be anything right? It could be something bad right? I'm really hoping it isn't, but it could be right?
Yea I bought at 5.1
OMG, why did I invest Sprint? I'm so dumb. Well I hear they came out with a 4G Blackberry, big whoop. And I hear that AT&T are being deuches to Lightsquared because they have friends in high places so right now I think the outlook for Sprint is gloomy to say the least. I'm sad.
Yeah this was just a rubber band effect from yesterday. I'm sure Thursday will be a very bad day, trust me. I actually sold my stock in Ford at a slight loss so that I can buy them back even cheaper and have more shares to show for the same money. Somebody on tv today, i won't mention his name, compared this to the 87 crash. I think he was alluding to the fact that a year later after the crash (and it was a 40 percent crash of the Dow, ouch!) most of those stocks rebounded the following year. So I say wait for Ford to hit 7 and then buy. It might get that bad in what I'm calling The Ecopocalypse. That's trademarked by the way.
I wouldn't have phrased it that way. I don't know whether the company will do great things, but eventually they will have another run, my pocket book is counting on it. I just hope it's by Sept or Oct so I can reinvest it in some Technology stock.
Ok? I apologize, but I don't see your point. Although I did hear that when Gold finally goes down that will be our indicator that stocks have reached their bottom.
As much as it pains me to agree with Asus (whatever that name means) but he does speak the truth. Investors are scared and they're trying to get some money out. Whether they reinvest that money is a different story. Let's just hope that we all see another run so that we can pull our money out of an investment that may or may not have a substantial future. But I do think it is unfair to blame this on the CEO. He isn't currently doing anything to bring this stock crashing like it has been over the past few weeks. It's lack of interest, however if he conducts the PR I've suggested maybe just maybe we'll all see some good returns on this investment.
