d-h, . . . . "A fool uttereth all his mind: but a wise man keepeth it in till afterwards." [Prov. 29:11]
Lotta things goin' through my mind as to what's goin' on with this boat, and this latest run really skews the charts, so I can't go by anything they're sayin'. This adds yet another mystery to a mystery stock. Think I'll just do somethin' wise here by shutting up and watch this thing. Keepin' my powder dry for now.
Loyal
Most unusual. Haven't seen three greens in a row since mid-March. And the last time we saw four in a row was last July.
Loyal
So, are they privy to something we don't know? Or are they a new kid in town that doesn't know the score? Or were they paid a fee to add GRNH in as a throw in?
Don't have L2, so I can't see. Are mm's perhaps driving it down to load themselves up for a run? After all, they do have holes in the wall as church mice.
Loyal
I guess I was oversimplified in my thought process back yonder. With GRNH's expertise in the hydroponics greenhouse business, I was under the impression that they would grow their own seeds in mass production, yet high quality, and have growers coming to them for a better seed at a higher price. But what I thought could be the Cadillac of the mj industry is looking more and more like a Hugo through mismanagement.
This is Economics-101 on how the turn a potential pennant winner into a cellar dweller. Never thought I'd see the day when I would have to muster up the gumption to just check on this thing once daily, kind of like a mother with a very sick baby who goes into its room in the night to see if it's still breathing.
Loyal
An r/s, one might wonder? I never saw an r/s work out in twenty years. It would make this stock look very good.
For thirty minutes maybe.
Loyal
Haas has never effected an r/s, even when GRNH was struggling to get past the double zeroes. It would be a death knell at this point. But then, everyone knows an r/s almost always is.
Loyal
One wonders if Haas thinks we're as dumb as the bunch Tom Sawyer conned into doing his fence work for him. Maybe James also thinks we consider it a privilege to work for him, and then pay him after having done it. Granted, I'm easy, but not that easy.
Think I'll ride this boat a while longer, as long as Haas doesn't tell us he committed 100 Bible verses to memory. At that point I'm out o' here.
Loyal
Deanna,
Interesting. In nearly twenty years I never saw that concept put in motion.
Unfortunately, Haas never seemed to realize that as shareholders, we really ARE part owners of his company, as all stockholders are. Somehow Haas couldn't seem to grasp the fact that we as lenders to his company had a right to some degree of return. I wonder if he is learning anything from this new cat at the helm.
Loyal
Thanx. I just might tune in on Thursday.
Loyal
mind, . . . Oops. Sorry. My bad. Didn't know there was another outfit with the same first name --- and spelled the exact same way. One doesn't look like a spin off of the other, either, as far as I have researched. Unless one company is a love child from the other that James gave birth to years ago.
This is not good.
Loyal
Far be it for me to hype this company; I quit doing that three years ago. In fact, I've become, not a basher, but a major critic since 2015. Having said that, the jury should be out on this new seed venture. After all, one would think with GreenGro's expertise in greenhouse growing that it could produce as high a quality finished product or seed as anyone. That's what I was hoping for all along.
But somehow Haas got himself sidetracked into one dead end after another. At least after three or four years he had sense enough to go to the bullpen for relief help. Whether this new guy can get things rolling remains to be seen, but I owe it to him to see it through.
And as for the name, whether its name ends in Technologies or Biologicals is moot. It's just a name. The future is there if this outfit can get its act together and put out a quality product, whether it's crop or seed. We all have our own math on the money the company says it can make via seed production, but the mj industry is still too young to say what the profits will be one way or another. Henry Ford's horse on wheels was never going to replace the horse and make a dent in the transportation industry, but it did. And Solyndra WAS going to revolutionize the utilities industry, but it was bust. Point being, we don't really know one way or another what seed sales are going to produce. I'm skeptical, too, but I need to find out.
Loyal
An underlying problem here is that the neither the mm's nor the market as a whole care whether Haas or GreenGro are implicated. Innocent until proven guilty don't matter in a world that lives or dies by rumors. So, until the yellow caution signs are removed, we're likely to stagnate. Frustrating as it is, we don't get off the red till the bottom line shows black.
Loyal
mind, . . . After four years of stagnation, my mind is like my computer concerning this stock. When nothing happens, after while it just slips into sleep mode.
Hope you're awake and doing better. z-z-z-z-z-z-z
Loyal
jjr, . . . I can't fault Trump for it. But yes, Jeff Sessions sure helped to put the brakes on us. The jerk. Right now Donnie has bigger fish to fry, so mj is back burner. Being the business man he is, Trump would have no problem with mj producing giant revenues. And leaving it to the states hasn't caused a rush, either. I still think big pharma is paying trolls on the sly to keep mj down until pharma can worm its way into a bigger share of the pie. But then, that's just me. Till whenever, we sit and spin.
Loyal
Hi Porker. Good to hear from ya. Been too long. Anyway, yeah, I was here for that. It really rocketed, but I wasn't bold enough to pull the trigger when that run began. It took off like lightning and fell like a Roman candle. Couple of hundred bucks would've turned in to about 80 grand. And I had plenty of dough to roll, but I sat on it. Still shake my head to this day. Time and timing.
Hope you're doin' well elsewhere.
Loyal
Norfolk, What's the stop sign? Or did we just blow it?
Loyal
Thanx for the two notes of clarification. It lends credence to the distinct possibility that the new kid in town is a puppet on a string. Can't say that is true for sure, but if it is, why did James hire him in the first place?
Perhaps I'm reading too much into the matter based on my personal experiences. I sat on two boards years ago, and both times we were just there to rubber stamp the CEO's wishes. After that I vowed, never again.
Loyal
Don't know if this applies to our situation or not, but my research indicates that a "legitimate" (emphasis mine) board of directors have the power to fire a CEO by vote if they choose. So, if James Haas is one of the board members, then this recent interim guy was hired on a "let's see what he can do" basis only. Which means Haas and other board members --- whoever they are --- could dump him on a whim.
Well, that's my FWIW.
Loyal
So far the mm's aren't buying what the new guy said. Either that or they're posturing for a run.
Loyal
Wow. Two green days out of the last sixteen sessions, and those two were scant greens. Are those bilge pumps workin' at all?
Loyal
mind1, . . . Wouldn't be the first time I saw a board chairman override or even oust a CEO. Mm's are surely watching this one like a hawk and will keep it at bay till they see something real.
Loyal
One can be fairly certain Haas cut a deal in this switcharoo: Nice batch of authorized shares, some compensation for his services here and there, any number of things behind the scenes. A chairman of a board can have a lot of clout in the future of an enterprise if the right deal is made between him and the new CEO. At this point I'm just hoping this new guy isn't a figurehead.
Loyal
Historically, a CEO change tends to mean a short term burst in the going price. We'll see if we get one for the first time in a long time. Nothing so far. I guess it will be whatever the mm's think it is.
Loyal
I'm cool with that. Still can't believe James took his own company down like this with bad decisions, one after another. Could kick myself for not selling @.15, then @.11. Waited for the next rebound that never came.
Loyal
Expat, . . . Thing is, what they don't have to do isn't the issue. If you want respect and investor investment, you do what respectable companies do. You file. On time.
Loyal
- - - I just hope Haas doesn't pull a Montezuma's revenge and r/s on us.
mind1, . . . The wife is in to movie re-runs. I am not. And this is one movie we've all seen too many times.
Loyal
Re #49877: If it weren't for you reminding us of that conference call, I'd have completely forgotten about it long ago. What are they anyway but a bunch of "uh-huh's" and "that's a good point" from James? Coffee and doughnuts and a bunch o' buhschit. So, for now I'm just looking at the GRNH screen the way astronomers look at the night skies. Once in a while I even talk myself into a 'some day' thought pattern.
Hope things are going better for you elsewhere.
Loyal
Re #49870: We've no choice but to hope his word is good on this. It's now Friday and my latest flyer is that perhaps the mm's are dropping this and positioning themselves for a run. They did on a couple occasions ---- that was years ago --- and let it out of the barn for a little while. Haas just needs to show 'em the green, instead of the fluff. Obviously, the mm's are no more impressed with James's pr's than we are, so the waiting and baiting games continue.
Frankly, I don't even bother to chart this thing anymore. Doing so at this juncture is another nothingburger, and that's unfortunate.
Loyal
Flr1, . . . Okay, two multi-year contracts with two other companies, both growers. To do what? The rest looks like public relations fluff.
For the past three years I thought GRNH was preparing to grow and market its own stuff. Now Haas links with two upstate companies? Is this true growth? or just a matter of stayin' alive? I don't know.
Loyal
How many times will this tub be permitted an r/s? The last one almost wiped me out.
Loyal
tusambolo, . . . Is this thing at .0001 legit? No other decimal points? Hopefully not an r/s that wasn't mentioned.
Thought this thing was graveyard dead years ago. Held onto it, since any brokerage fee would have cost more than the stock was worth all this time.
Loyal
Flr, .... That's what a lot of us thought. Then I remembered Murphy's Law.
Loyal
What's with this tub? I thought it was dead long ago. Anyone there?
Loyal
Re #49824: German, held it for a while and sold it for a modest increase. Had I waited a while longer, at the right instant I could have pocketed about 80 grand. Yep, I cut bait and let the big fish get away.
We live and learn.
Loyal
Companion, . . . Actually, it had slipped to .005 in January of 2012. I owned it then. But no matter, GRNH is a shell of what it should be.
Loyal
Norfolk, I do believe it will happen. And fairly soon. But it will likely be a lot of fluff; maybe screened callers reading from prepared text.
"Yes. Yes. Uh-huh. I agree. I think you're right about that. I'm very optimistic. It's gonna be a good year. Let's keep up the good work."
The usual blather. Soft ball questions, if any.
Loyal
Just so you remember, you'll have to take a number. And you'll probably be assigned a seat at the back of the bus.
Loyal
- - - And judging by today's action, it was predictable. Every time Haas goes public with news the stock dives. Every time.
Norfolk, were you invited to the conference call? Somehow I get the feeling you weren't. Can't imagine why. Just sayin.'
Loyal
apppro, . . . Says Haas, " . . . we have restructured the company’s operations to create a more agile, streamlined and efficient core business that should position us for long-term success . . ."
Whatever that means. We've all heard it before. And before that.
Sounds good though. Thanx for posting.
Loyal
mux, . . . Yessir. Then there was the near $.16 in October of 2016. I still shake my head for not cashing out then.
