At the risk of spoiling everyone's party on the GRNH board, for me this isn't fun anymore.
Loyal
I think GRNH contracted the coronavirus before it ever hit the news. James created it in one of his greenhouses and it accidentally slipped out.
Loyal
Just glanced at the charts over various periods today for the first time in a while. Looking at the 'money flow' this thing is like a bucket o' water with a huge hole in the bottom. 'Momentum' down steady since before the ball dropped in Times Square.
Just like the Busch commercial, friends: It doesn't get any better than this.
Loyal
mind1, . . . Oh, goodie. This new property will look good on the brochure next to that one in Cathedral City. Two shovel ready operations by early summer?
Is it soon time for conference call? Or perhaps a mall construction update?
Loyal
mind1, . . . Agreed. Used to chart this thing (years ago) every day. It eventually became an absolute waste of time.

The tide has carried this boat so far out to sea that you can't even see land anymore. Hasn't made even a mini run in so long that no one can afford to jump ship and swim to shore without drowning. Pathetic.
Loyal
Hey bro, I was wondering about that very thing earlier today (Friday). With 8 out of the last trading 9 days red, even the mm's aren't trying to goose this thing anymore. And James has about run out of fake news to share with us.
Loyal
Five straight reds. Though they all be small, it's beginning to look like death by a thousand cuts.
We need some black at the bottom of the balance sheet.
James hasn't been completely silent but he may as well have been, because even when he says something, he doesn't say anything.
Loyal
Pete, . . . Problem is, I married this one. Didn't intend to; it just worked out that way. Only wanted to date GRNH for a short while. Wasn't aware she was a pickpocket. But if I divorce her now, she'll have taken me plum to the cleaners.
Or maybe she already did.
Loyal
- - - - Sure glad GRNH didn't do that to anyone else.
HAPPY NEW YEAR, everyone. This year really sucked.
Memo from James Haas:
"Filings? What filings? Oh, you mean my nails? I file them every week."
Loyal
- - - Hope everyone has a pleasant Thanksgiving.
Just conjecture, but I rather think some of the mm's (investment firms) are privileged to inside info we retailers have no means to gain access to, especially since the one-day spike is as high as it is. Either that or it's a crazy p & d, and I can't imagine anyone falling for that where GRNH is concerned.
Besides, for some time I've had the feeling Haas would rather talk to big investment moguls than he would with us, since he seems to consider us as sharecroppers.
Just sayin'.

Re: #50432
mind, . . . Question is, how well are trades policed at this level? We're merely a small fish in a big ocean, and I suspect the SEC is always on a police call somewhere else when shenanigans take place. Merely speculation on my part.

False bids. Games. My guess.

I heard FoxNews even had Evans on one morning as a rising star in the cyber-security business. That was probably his fifteen minutes of fame, even though it only lasted three to five minutes. Didn't see it myself, but that's what I heard. Anyway, back then I sank a hundred bucks into this tub, which is now worth about fifteen cents. Still waiting for my ship to come in five years later, but I gave up holding my breath.
Loyal
mind, . . . . I think James Haas graduated from the James Boren school of business management, the first rule of which is:
"When in doubt, . . . mumble."
Loyal
I just don't want to hear some song and dance from James telling us his seeds were lost in a wild fire out there.
Loyal
mind, . . . I don't know why this preoccupation with Cathedral City. That place probably still has front end loaders sitting in the dirt.
Many years ago --- 30 years ago, in fact --- I worked part-time for a guy who sold tropical plants in a mall. He knew nothing about the floral business, but was tired of being a trucker. So, he set up about a 10 x 12 wooden kiosk in the mall and made over a hundred grand profit the first year. I moved on from that job at minimum wage. Point being: I never knew why James didn't try something similar. Even frickin' Gates started in his garage, so why does Haas have to go high-society high end?
Okay, I'm done bitchin'. For now. See y'all next week.
Loyal
The entire path seems to be following what I'd surmised a couple years ago. Once mj was legalized in CO --- then in CA and elsewhere --- bigger players in the fledgling industry worked behind the scenes to short the little outfits, most of which are now very frustrated. Then the little guys would come to a point where the mm's were pinning them to the mat till one by one they'd cry "uncle" and sell out. That way the big boys would put the little squirts out of business and have the market cornered once mj is legalized everywhere. So much for free enterprise and the American dream.
That's my take. If it sounds conspiratorial, well, it is. But I'm stickin' to it. After all, I own a bunch of mj's, and they're all schyt.
Loyal
fitz, . . . . Only if the news meant something and was more than phony hype. Can't remember when it was anything but.
At this point, I say forget news. Any news. Just show us the numbers.
Loyal
Thanx for the info. Didn't know that.
I served on two boards years ago. Headed up one. Both times we were a joke, as the CEO had total authority. I said I'd never do that again, and never did. Total waste of time and effort.
Thanx anyhow.
Loyal
Independent Director. Now there's an unique title. Who came up with that oxymoron? If he's independent, just who or what does he direct?
Forgive my eye roll, folks, and don't bother with a gobbledygook definition.
It never seems to stop.
Sometimes in the middle of a mess you just gotta laugh.
Loyal
Any way they could suspend trading of this thing for a brief time to cool off? Or, even if they could, would it only spark a panic later?
Loyal
mind, . . . Lifeboats are filling up fast. Do you or anyone else know if the SS Carpathia is close by?
Loyal
Down below a penny now. Is there a doctor in the house who knows how to stop the bleeding? How about a timely p.r. from James? Yeah, that'll work.
Loyal
Does Evans still have any affiliation with this thing? And the sudden volume at only three zeroes? Still grey, I see. Maybe Ligatt will get into the mj business like so many other flimflams.
Meanwhile, looks like the herd is growing to impeach the prez. Crazy.
Loyal
I don't understand how this Haas guy got himself where he is today. Four or five years ago he seemed to have a thriving --- even expanding --- greenhouse hydroponics business going. Then he moved into mj, and now he's in debt up to his eyeballs. It's almost as bad as a man who owns a bar going broke in the liquor business.
Loyal
Don't know how these debt restructuring deals go these days, but from my old-fashioned simple math days --- you know, before to common core --- once the interest exceeds revenues, school is out.
And 22% interest to boot. I remember when guys were sent to the pen for loan sharking at 12%.
Loyal
At this point the only thing good I can say about this company is that, since I first began following it back in 2011, it has yet to perform a reverse split. If a buyer wanted the company, James might suck it up and sell the thing. But then I wonder, who wants GRNH's millions in debts to go with it (if indeed another company couldn't beg out from under those)? It'd be like marrying a sharp lookin' woman who's up to her eyeballs in credit card bills --- this fool did just that 30 years ago --- and after she splits --- which she did --- you're stuck with the load. Took me years to pay those bills off.
So, if some big outfit wants this tub and can make a go of it, I'd have to monitor the selling stock price. For now, I'm pretty sure the mm's still have this thing on a string, and a short leash at that.
Loyal
Historically, virtually all pr's caused a quick and sustained drop. Mm's never bought the hype. At this point I'd rather not see them. Nothing matters now except debt reduction and revenues.
Loyal
What's with the sudden burst of volume?
Loyal
Kinda thought you were watching from ringside. Wasn't impressed by the numbers posted. This truck has languished so long the charts don't mean anything anymore. Don't know who is driving the rig, but I'm sure Haas still has his fingerprints on whatever's in the works.
The thing that still gives me hope is that most mj's appear to be still languishing as well. And CA being what is from north to south, Haas might have been better to go into the syringe and needle business. Somebody's making a killing out there. (Oops. Don't know if that was a pun or not.)
Loyal
Hi, bro. You in or out still?
Loyal
Would be nice, but I think not. Congress is too busy doing foolish investigations to legislate. When they return they'll just pick up where they left off.
Suspect mm's are just waiting on quarterly numbers like the rest of us.
Loyal
Historically, that seems kosher to me also. But this boat has been a clown car for over three years now, and I wonder if the understaffed SEC would even get around to looking at any suspicious behavior. Made me wonder how many of those with temp shares nickel and dimed their way out of harm's way when this thing was recently headed below .01. Not that it matters now.
In the meantime, we're all here still wandering in the desert, and I for one am not looking forward to forty years of this nonsense.
Loyal
What happens to the float if the numerous people who were paid in mega-shares over the past few years decide to cash out? Do we end up with what might be the moral equivalent of a mountain of derivatives?
Loyal
- - - By the way, after all these years of research, I'm still trying to figure out just what derivatives really are. I tried to eat one once and it melted before it ever got to my mouth.
D-H, Thanx for the detailed info. Very useful and informative. Years ago I misplaced my doctorate degrees in both botany and microbiology, and haven't been able to locate them since. Thus, I forgot almost everything I ever knew about the subjects.
Moreover, being the skeptic that I am (okay, maybe cynic is a better word), I'm still not certain whether some big pharma wizards are working to create hybrid seeds to corner the market. Anything on this? We've already tampered with nature and screwed it up almost beyond repair genetically, so I'm left to wonder. God warned mankind eons ago to let nature alone, but we didn't listen; that's why it's got me wondering whether they can modify mj seeds and foul that herb** up, too. Needless to say, a theoretical hybrid marijuana seed/plant would be a game changer for the financial future of the industry.
Loyal
** ---- No, marijuana is not a weed; it's an herb. Never was a weed.
[P.S. - - - However, I do have a B.S. in Street Vernacular. I can B.S. with anyone on a lot of subjects.]
Well, at least we're finally getting steady volume. What that precedes is anybody's ball game. But I've a question:
I never researched marijuana growth in detail till recently, and have to admit I didn't know it takes a male and female to grow the stuff. Which prompts another question I can't find an answer to. Are seeds to be sold of the "heirloom" variety that any grower can save for future growth on their own? Or are they genetically modified and therefore need be purchased over and over from a seed supplier? Outfits like Ortho and Monsanto would obviously prefer the latter.
GreenGro has been mary mary quite contrary in the past, so has does their garden grow these days?
Anybody.
Loyal
I wonder if one of those hired hands who were paid in time-release stock shares long ago decided it was time to check out.
Loyal
Haas and his paper lion CEO could pull a Muhammed Ali ---"I shook up the world! I shook up the world!"--- by putting some numbers out on time.
Or am I just whistlin' Dixie?
