D-H, Thanx for the detailed info. Very useful and informative. Years ago I misplaced my doctorate degrees in both botany and microbiology, and haven't been able to locate them since. Thus, I forgot almost everything I ever knew about the subjects.

Moreover, being the skeptic that I am (okay, maybe cynic is a better word), I'm still not certain whether some big pharma wizards are working to create hybrid seeds to corner the market. Anything on this? We've already tampered with nature and screwed it up almost beyond repair genetically, so I'm left to wonder. God warned mankind eons ago to let nature alone, but we didn't listen; that's why it's got me wondering whether they can modify mj seeds and foul that herb** up, too. Needless to say, a theoretical hybrid marijuana seed/plant would be a game changer for the financial future of the industry.
