It might come out next week, but at this point I am more inclined to believe the K and don't expect it until around the 23rd-30th.
I hope you are right, but the history of projections would suggest their few week projection will turn into several weeks, which would put us into August.
arent' you glad you bought back in? and I bet you thought you were done loosing money on dtro.
What a friggin joke, I knew we were getting ripped off when the rs happened.
yeap, it was me. I believe if I would have sold last Monday at .0089, based on the volumn for the last 4 days and the prices we have seen them sell at, there is a good chance I would have gotten right around a million shares, even if it took all 4 days to get them.
Sure there's a chance it wouldn't have worked, but there's also a chance that if sney doesn't get that paperwork caught up we will be bouncing in the 5's again before it is released.
No risk no glory.
Since I didn't jump I guess we will never know, gotta start listening to my gut and not my dreams with this stock.
My dreams/wishful thinking talked my gut out of taking the plunge.... oh well.
I don't have enough information to confirm or deny that. I could understand if that was the case with the 2010 Q's and K, but once Sney took control I don't see what effect Allied would have on 2011 or 2012.
Then again I have never dealt with the SEC
I thought SNEY took over Allied in 2010?
We are talking about 2011, and now the first Q 2012. Blaming Allied for what has gone on since SNEY took control is a lot like Obumma blaming Bush for what has gone on in this country since 20 January 2009.
Just saying.
As to keeping records, it's not that I am anal about it, just that when dealing with legal records I try to keep tabs on that, especially when I am accountable to others in regards to my records keeping.
I don't disagree in principle. I can only speak for myself on this, but it's not that I think it will fly on a filing, but I think as you stated once the ce is gone and a pr or two come out with figures of what they have so far, then interest should be generated and as volumn increases so goes pps.
It's part of why I find the constant paperwork delays so contemptable. Everything they are trying to do and have released is telling me they are ready to move forward and start generating cash flow and revenue.
Yet they keep stumbling. (shaking head)
As to little investments. That's not the issue. I set a limit as to how much I would experiment with..... I already broke that limit twice. LOL.
I have 3 stocks which are all in a similar boat. They are right on the edge of taking off, and once they do they all have pretty good potential.
I just made up my mind no more personal cash until what I have already invested either pays off or crashes. At that time I will re evaluate my situation and make a decision then.
However, if I am smart enough to see a chance to use my investment to further my holdings then I will take the risk. Have made it work a couple of times, just dont always want to take the chance that this little pop could be the start of the run up and then I am chasing.
It's not so much that I am forgetting about it, as much as I think after a yr of exploring they are ready to sell material.
That area has been a source of mineral resources for hundreds of yrs, and I don't think that has changed. It has never been really developed in regards to mining, like we or the europeans have done with our mineral deposits.
Yeah someone could dump a lot of shares, but I think they are looking for a lot bigger return on their investment. I don't have the impression this is a short term endevour for SNEY, and those who took those warrents.
Yeah I could be wrong, but I don't think so. I really believe once they can get their paperwork shuffling in order we are going to be mildly suprised with the results, and I don't mean negatively.
I am going on the assumption that they are ready to move from an exploration company to a mining company; no other reason to get current. IMO
Which is why I am curious when they will get a better record keeper. I don't know enough about Shelly to comment either way. I don't neccessarily find him with complete fault on the books. It starts where the work is. Who ever is running the show on site needs to keep better records of their day to day activities and expenses whether in the form of a graft or day labor.
If those records/log whatever you want to call it are well kept it should be a fairly simple job convert them to what the sec wants.
I remember the discussion I think it was you and Risk had in regards to this topic: I came away from that conversation with the impression that the CE had to be removed before an MM would touch them.
No I don't want to revisit it :).
This is an excellent letter, only thing I would ask in addition would be when do you plan on getting a good records keeper? :)
If they were an African based business I would be more concerned about abuse, but I think they are for real (or I wouldnt have invested a dime) and I actually think they have some raw material ready to move.
I just figured after all the delays that this Q would have been ready to drop right after the K. Chances are it will be filed in another 2 weeks around the 24th, maybe even as late as the 1st. They maybe current before Q2 is due, don't know what kind of paper shuffling really goes on with that, so dispite the posts which implied it is a simple thing to get the ce removed based on our history with paper shuffling I wouldn't be suprised if we arent current by Aug 15th.
The longer it takes to get current means the longer it takes to get actual production figures; will it be Q3 or Q4.
Anyways I am done with discussing paperwork, lol, never intended to get involved with it anyway.
At one time I was at .0155. I took some winnings from a different stock and averaged down a couple of times. I bought a butt load when at .005 which really helped. :)
Based on my limited knowledge of the area they are working in, I believe they will eventually get it together, it's just a matter of when. One would think they were in a position to start selling material, as such they would need to be current, one would think they would have a stronger need to get the paperwork caught up than it appears they do.
but we are supposedly past that, and it still doesn't change the fact that they have not been good at book keeping.
I realized from the get go that most transactions in both SL and Ghana will be/would be cash transactions, but just cause they are paying cash doesn't mean they shouldn't have a log book to keep track of those things, that can be referenced later when they knew they would have to file paperwork to get current.
I learned about keeping logs/records when I was 18, and have found there is no excuse for not keeping notes/records on any job site I am responsible for. On more than one occassion those notes have covered my butt when an issue came up later.
Simple answer, Obamanomics has not been very kind to me. The last 2 1/2 yrs have really put a wrench in my financial planning.
I took a chance trying out the stock market, and have invested all the cash I plan on investing out of pocket. It either produces or it loses.
If I would have listened to my gut and sold at .0088 or .0089, I would have made a 26% gain, and then based on the last couple of days of trading not only would I have been able to get in at a lower pps, but I would have at least a 1/4 more shares.
But I hesitated, because I thought the company had finally gotten their act in gear and were ready to go on the Q1, but looks like I was wrong, and we will be lucky if they can get the Q1 filed before Q2 is due.
Time will tell.
I will be out of posts after this Risk, so if you respond I will get back to you tomorrow.....
If you read the whole post, you would see I already addressed that. I didn't go with my gut because I was hopeful (yep I admit it) that the company finally got their sheet together and despite the statement that they would file within a few weeks the next Q, that the Q1 was actually ready to file and would come out a week (yesterday) after the K, which would have kept the momementoum going. Instead, well we see what is happening.
Damn dude unless you are Parent in disguise I have no clue why you take this so personal. When did the ability to discuss the historically obvious limitations of a company become such a personal affront to a shareholder?
Heck even Bali has quit listening to the drums, and talking about soon.
Seems you and a couple of others are so blinded to reality that any talk of historical facts is seen as an afront. I like you Risk but damn dude get over it.
Parent doesn't walk on water.
today so far has been very disheartening to say the least. If I had gone with my gut and sold when we were pushing .009, I could have bought back in today at a lower pps then I currently have and gotten a heck of a lot more shares to boot.
Oh well, there's those shoulda, coulda's. LOL
but yeah after being green for the last 3 weeks for the first time in a yr seeing this go back down is disgusting.
Hopefully the Q1 is actually ready to file, and is done so sooner than the projected few weeks in the 10k, otherwise there is a good chance we will be back in the 5's before the Q1 is filed.
They need to get this current, not in a month but asap, which imo is yesterday not tomorrow.
My boo hoo?? Risk, I pointed out that your implied statement that Parent was good at getting current (filing paperwork) because that was his focus (which you still haven't explained if it's not paperwork) was bull.
Parent maybe good at a lot of things but doing paperwork is obviously not one of his strong suits. For some reason you internalize any criticism of SNEY or Parent, and as in this case have blown it out of propertion to the orginal conversation.
Not sure what being a former squid has to do with any of this. Again just cause I can be objective about the limitations I see and point them out doesn't mean I can't also believe that eventually those limitations will be overcome.
In other words yeah eventually the company will get current, and eventually the production figures will be released, and eventually the wait will probably have been worth it. I just don't agree that it is something Parent is all that good at whether it's all he's focused on at the moment or not.
Is that your answer to criticism.... LOL!
I will repeat what I have stated numerous times; though I am not 100% sure that SNEY will actually come through with getting current before Q2 is due doesn't mean I don't think they will eventually get it done (paperwork), nor does it mean I think that what will eventually be reported is bad news.
I own this because I think it will eventually pay off, I am just not as impressed with the company's ability to file paperwork as you are. Nor am I afraid to point out the limit's of that ability despite believing they will eventually get their sheet together.
I am still hopeful that they are about to prove me wrong, we shall see.
so what exactly does that mean "his focus is on getting current"? Is it just sitting in the buddha position humming ohmmmmmm?
Please expand on what his role in getting current involves if not paperwork?
I wasn't conflating anything, was pointing out an observation that imo his paperwork filing skills are not one of the things he is good at, otherwise the pm I have from 2/28/12 claiming we would be current in a couple of months from a guy with the initials RO, would have come true and not been one more wishful thinking post, or the idea that we would be current by eom June 2012, would have come to pass as well, but it still hasn't.
Never claimed it wasn't progress, making progress and being done are 2 different things.
Your last paragraph is meaningless in this conversation. So what if we are only (at this time) 1 filing away from being current, until that filing is made and we are current and the CE lifted, guess what, we are a pink stock with a CE. All the hopes dreams and woulda shoulda's don't mean squat.
You probably wouldn't want to work for me, I expect results not hopes and dreams. I have a timeline to make or I lose money, I don't like loosing money.
doesn't the process we are currently going through to get current involve paperwork?
Maybe I am confused, can you clarify what exactly you think Parent's role in regards to getting current right now is? Does the SEC want mineral samples on their desks or pieces of paper?
your exact words were: "He's good at a number of things, right now, getting current is top of the list."
are you now suggesting you weren't implying that you don't think one of the things he's good at is doing paperwork to get current?
Those are after all the words you typed in response to Hawksfan, I didn't put any words in your mouth.
I will reiterate that I think SNEY will eventually get their act together, will it happen in the timeline put forth in the 10k, I don't know. I am hopeful they will, however based on their current track record/history in this regard that is still questionable.
Until they actually come through with the paperwork and the CE removed, all we really have is a pipedream. I hope they do come through and are current with a CE removed prior to Q2 is due, but as I have already said their past preformance in this regard does not instill the most confidence in anyone looking critically at this that they will come through on time.
I am sorry you can't look at things realistically.... to each their own.
I am running out of posts so I will combine a couple of responses here:
excuse me, I should have said; you implied one of his many talents.....
is that better now?
Risk you really do get emotionally wrapped up in this sheet.
Now to this which I covered already yesterday; so what? It's not done yet. This should have been ready (Q1) to go at the same time K was filed. A few weeks (few= 3 or more) puts us around the 23rd of July, if they hit the 3 week mark, which will be cutting it very tight if they plan on being current before Q2 is due mid August.
The staff has made great strides in getting there, but so far they have not yet reached the end zone. They can pass the ball all day running up yards, but until they cross the end zone all the yards in the world are meaningless.
and you once claimed you didn't jump to the defense of SNEY at the drop of a hat. ROFLOL
I truly am sorry you find any criticism of what is happening to be an insult you feel the need to defend.
don't disagree with any of that, never was the point...... I believe it was coloradokid who had clarity yesterday as to my point..... it took a few back and forth posts, but he eventually got thier on his own. :)
not concerned, I wrote this off a long time ago.
This all started because you claimed one of Steve Parents many talents was his ability to get us current, ie file the paperwork.
I disagreed that this was one of his talents. You continue to think it is some kind of attack on the company, Parent, etc. It was nothing more than an observation.
Technically they haven't done anything yet. They aren't current, we have not seen any actual production data, etc.
It's kinda like running a marathon and being at the 26 mile marker. The race aint over yet, though you are close you still got .2 miles to go, and until you get there you haven't finished the race, no matter how close you are.
so would giving Steve credit for it finally getting done be akin to giving you credit for the Maimi Heat winning the championship?
LOL; this all started because Risk claimed one of Steve's many talents was his ability to get current, ie getting the paperwork done. I disagreed with his assessment and pointed that out.
Actually SNEY hasn't done anything yet that most pinks never do. We believe they will come through, but as of yet, they have not.
I have been patient with the progress of the company for about a yr and a half, not sure what that has to do with being realistic about the company's track record in regards to filing paperwork.
Not sure why you take pointing out the facts of what is going on so personally, but to each their own.
You are right, I have never ran a publicly traded company, however, I have ran multi million dollar jobs in which accurate paperwork was required, not to mention cooridnation with both the general and other subs in regards to making the job go smoothly and in a timely manner.
Just because I have faith that SNEY will eventually come through doesn't mean I can't be dispassionate when I realistically examine the track record of a company.
Since I am not directly involved in the process of getting the minerals out of the ground, nor am I involved in the paperwork process, I don't see what I should feel proud of.
When they finally come through and are current and defining their progress to date and the pps reflects that, I will probably be estatic that I bought the stock and held on, but that is not a reason to have pride.... IMO.
and the sell off begins, once again below a penny. Boy did we get long shareholders get royally screwed~
I don't know if proud to own it is the right word, but I do believe that eventually I will be very glad to own some shares.
However, that doesn't in anyway change my point, which was that though Parent may have a lot of things he's good at doing, so far there has been no demonstration that keeping up with the paperwork is one of those talents.
Doesn't mean it won't eventually happen, nor does it mean it won't happen in time to get current before Q2 is due; but so far I have not seen a lot of evidence to suggest it will. In fact with Q2 due around 8/15, previous track record suggests they will be late. I hope I am wrong, but for now all I have to go off of is history, and so far the history of the company's paperwork filing ability is not very good.
That's just the facts as I see them, not glossed over with what I hope to see happen.
ROFLOL...... yes we are.
and that was my orginal point. Parent aint very good at keeping books.
I don't disagree with that assessment, but it's not about having an accountant on staff, it's about keeping records..... logs about what transpired.... receipts for what was spent, etc.
This isn't rocket sceince or brain surgery, it's records keeping.
but your timeline kinda suggests they didn't start finalizing the 10Q 1 until they filed the 10k '11. My point is they have known for 2 yrs they would need to do this, they have had practice getting this stuff done, and they know what they are going to need to accomplish it.
Maybe I find paperwork easier than others, I don't know, but from what I have observed so far I find the constant delays and lack of being ready to be a sign of incompetence in that area of running a company.
No. Nor does it have anything to do with my point.
The premise was presented that Parent is good at a lot of things; and among those things was the process of getting current. I disagree that Parent, or anyone else at SNEY is all that good at doing paperwork.... in fact I lean towards the idea that they in fact are rather incompetent in the paperwork arena of running a company.
It took almost 2 months from the time Q3 '11 was filed until 10k '11 was filed. Personally I see no excuse for the Q1 '12 not being ready to file other than human error.
It doesn't mean I don't think the company will eventually come through, but unless they hire someone that can actually do paperwork internally I wonder how it will effect the long term ability to stay current; but that's another matter.
Bottom line is so far the company has done nothing to show that they can do their books in a manner to have any faith that they are going to meet any deadline where filings are concerned.
getting current might be high on his list of things to do, but I am not sure I agree he is very good at doing the paperwork in order to accomplish this.
Case in point where we sit today. Dont get me wrong I do think it will be soon that we are, and I think it will happen before Q2 is due; at least I am hopeful it will. However, as we continue to see the paperwork is not done, if I was in his shoes I think I would have done my best to have everything ready to go ie the last piece of paper needed to be current would be ready to file at the same time as the k was.
I don't know if there is a sec time frame in place in regards to filing makeup paperwork, but if there is that Q1 would be filed on that date and I would have addressed that in my shareholder statement filed with k.
As it sits now all we have is a vague statement suggesting that the Q1 will be filed in a few weeks.... so though getting current might be high on his priority list, I will again disagree that he is very good at doing the paperwork needed to accomplish that goal. Imo the paperwork should have been done months ago. Hopefully it will be done before the Q2 is late as well.
a delated message? or are you talking about the first one? If so that would be up to who ever does sticky's; if its something I need to do I have no idea how to do it
since you obviously didn't get it the first time let me repost this for you:
let me try and explain this as simply as I can for you; and any others that haven't grasped what is going on at this time.
Sney is an exploration company: they are looking for something.
So anyone that expects to see revenue generated before they become a mining compay doesn't have a grasp of what is going on.
To become a mining company and show production numbers and sell those production numbers the company needs to be current without a CE.
So what we see now is an exploration company, who for what ever reason decided being current was not as important as figuring out whether it was worthwile to mine for minerals in 2 countries in Africa.
After months of delays the company has decided that the stock piled minerals they have accumulated for a year or so are at such and such a quality/quantity that it is time to get the paperwork up to date and mission statement changed.
Why would some jr miners waste the time and money to get current and change their mission statement?
Because the find in at least one of the 2 countries has reached a point where it was cost effective to get the paperwork done and start selling some ore; and pay the "taxes" in SL.
The K that was filed on Monday is the second to last piece of paper that needs to be filed to get current and the CE lifted, before 2nd Q 2012 is due.
I don't expect to see revenue generated in the last piece of paper we are waiting on either.
However, what I am betting on is that once current and the CE removed the company will file paperwork to uplist/change mission statement and sell some ore, generating revenue.
Because of the time line it is also doubtful we will see good finacials for 2nd Q, but we should see a break down of what ore is being sold with a break down cost effectiveness in a couple prs either before or soon after 2nd Q is filed in August.
So yeah you are right in your assessment, but what most who have been following the progress of the company believe is down the road is sooner than you think it is.
I should point out also that at this time we are only talking about 1 of the 2 sites SNEY is currently exploring for minerals.
So though you might see it as pumping, I read it as some people specualting on how good the reports coming in the next month or so are going to be.
So either buy some shares and jump on, or go find another board. ;)
it's just a summary of 10k. nothing to bother with.
that's an interesting post and actually makes me nervous on so many levels.
Ocare has a tax on new medical equipment which will be fully implemented by 2014 if left in place. SNDY makes and sells medical equipment. Is that a positive or negative for SNDY?
"OCare been in the works for two years actually and some States jumped in early. Lifting the economy in states like Cali.... "
2 cities in California filing for bankruptcy, state billions in debt, companies leaving state because of taxes, .......
How exactly is the economy in California lifted? What other states have been helped financially by the implementation of Obama Care?
LOL; this was the first company I invested in (doing the stock market myself). I told a buddy of mine about it and he thought I was nuts, primarily because of the CE. But I did a lot of DD on the area and the potential, and said what the heck.
I am not as heavily invested as many here, but I think this will pay off in the end, especially now that they seem to have a grasp on getting their paperwork done.
I am just hopeful they put out some decent press releases with figures sooner than later. I am a little worried about the Mayans being right, and need my submarine before the 20th of Dec.
LOL
9 feet deep? that's a lot of material to sift through, and if memory serves they are on both sides of the river. So the big question is how wide of an area and how long; L x W x D = V.
This could be a very lucrative site.
