Thanks,
Was hoping that it was more recent.
Am thankful for our resident short pointing out some relevant background of the new WAVX director. Am inclined to believe that current connections and significant experience in this general field outweigh past SEC investigations. Time will soon tell.
Very nice.
Do you have some sort of date for that pdf?
Short synopsys:

Your broker should be able to transfer the shares at current value, so you do not have to sell them. They will be taxed at the value of shares when they are moved.
I believe this tax can still be spread over a 2 year term.
A little more follow-up on Wave and Hitachi:
2000 May 2, EMBASSY tm Enabled Devices to Deploy This Year - Hitachi Europe and Wave Systems Announce Alliance to Develop Secure Smart Commerce Solutions. Hitachi Europe Limited, Wave Systems Corp. 2009 Jan 27, WAVX today announced its support for a new industry specification to enable stronger data protection and help organizations comply with increasingly tough regulations aimed at preventing a data breach. The first public version of the Trusted Computing Group's Opal security subsystem storage specification was announced today, giving vendors a "blueprint" for developing self-encrypting drives that secure data. Wave has developed or is working on Opal-compliant FDE solutions with Fujitsu, Toshiba and Hitachi, along with its currently shipping FDE solution with Seagate.

2010 Jun 8, Wave Systems Corp. announced today that the current production version of its EMBASSY(R) security software is compatible with Hitachi Global Storage Technologies' (Hitachi GST) Travelstar(TM) self-encrypting hard drives (SEDs) available through Hitachi's worldwide distribution channels this month. The drives (specific models listed below) are some of the first commercially available self-encrypting hard drives based on Opal, the Trusted Computing Group's storage specification that defines a set of drive security features. Wave EMBASSY management software (available separately from Wave's channel partners, resellers and direct from Wave) provides IT managers with robust capabilities for deploying, administering and managing Hitachi's SEDs.

Is anybody here pushing good posts regarding WAVX, such as the one I am responding to, to their Facebook page?
Social media networks could have huge a huge impact on the WAVX story as it continues to develop. This story begs to be spread.
Might anybody here have some spec recommendations for the RQ-171 Sentinel? :)
Keep it up... I like the sound!
Congratulations on your promotion!
May many more strive to follow in your footsteps.
Very interesting analysis.
You may find confirmation over the next few months.
Please do not hesitate to post as the scenario confirms your view.
Am wondering at what price point the shorts might start covering. Perhaps our resident short can help here?
Good for Samsung means good for Wave:
2011 Dec 9, Australia's highest court dismissed rival Apple's appeal in its global patent battle against South Korea’s Samsung Electronics. Samsung is now free to sell its Galaxy tablet computers in Australia.
(AP, 12/9/11)
Nicely told. Would work well with a sound track and visuals including all the players!!
Yesterday Martha Stewart rose 12% as JC Penny picked up a 17% of the company. A similar scenario is certainly possible for WAVX.
Keep accruing at this low level.
The boom will likely not come all at once.
For the time being you can expect targeted bombs, pullbacks and periodic lulls.
2011 Dec 6, Facebook started making its Timeline feature available to the approximately two million Facebook users living in New Zealand. The new application takes everything you’ve ever done on Facebook and creates a digital scrapbook that is simultaneously eye-pleasing and addicting.

This may have been something that Safend people were already working on as they were acquired. It would make sense to bring such a project to fruition.
I agree. This could be Wave's first step into the massive consumer market. It's also a great way to get brand recognition.
100k here.
Perhaps you are right, but then how is it that blocks of thousands of shares suddenly appear and disappear as perhaps a hundred share trade is executed? 10-20K blocks can last just seconds and jump rapidly back and forth with very few shares actually traded. I find it hard to believe that these bids and asks are represented by real people or that MMs are that nimble.
One just has to spend a few minutes watching Level II to see the effect of algorithms running. Thousands of WAVX shares changing in less than seconds on the bid and ask with little to no actual trades, clearly meant to stimulate trading and often on a downward bias these days.
Excellent DISA video:
Note the 5 pillars of defense:
1) cyberspace as a command domain
2) passive defenses insufficient
3) apply active defenses to critical infrastructure and national economy
4) collective defense with allies
5) invest in technologies to meet cyber defense needs
The best thing to do with WAVX SP at this level is to push your WAVX shares into a Roth IRA. This special opportunity will not last for long.
What the TPM does do is reduce the need for multiple passwords, which in and of itself is a huge consumer benefit. I myself have kept a separate notebook to track passwords and it runs to dozens of pages. I then created an excel page to order them for quick reference.
If the TPM is great for enterprises, why would it not be great for everybody else?
Consumers connect to enterprises! This needs to come full circle to work.
I keep looking at Dell weekend adverts for personal computers carrying TPMs. I do not understand why this technology is not being placed into the consumer space. What's the back-story here?
Good find.
"Engineers from LynuxWorks and Wave Systems Corp. in Lee, Mass., are collaborating on the use of a self-encrypting drive (SED) with the LynxSecure separation kernel and hypervisor for running multiple operating systems simultaneously on a single endpoint. The solution links individual encrypted disk bands to different secure virtual domains provided by LynxSecure running on a single device. "
Would be nice to see a general market upturn.
Local California property taxes come final due Dec 10.
Is this common across the country? I for one need to sell a few shares to meet this, but have have been holding off pending good WAVX news and SP rise.
I think the tree's a shakin' for cheap shares.
Very nice find!!
SS's two-week CC forecast for a major announcement is pushing its limits. Delays happen... accumulation still very valid here.
Shopping for Thanksgiving wine I found a reduced price $17 bottle, rated 96 by Robert Parker, of Verum, a 2010 chardonnay from Argentina. May not get to taste it as it is a gift.
Did buy and taste a bottle of Livor, a $7 2009 Tempranillo, from Spain. Very nice with spaghetti and garlic bread.
Me too, and it keeps tasting better and better all the time!!
Blue light special on SP today!!
Ok, I will participate in the discussion.
You can moderate! :)
Make it in San Francisco.
On the other side of the coin its been a great week to accumulate shares. We would not be "in this space," excepting Jermart, if we were not thoroughly convinced of significant WAVX progress. Good news per the recent CC is due very soon.
Am raiding the household piggy banks to add.
Who's Wave's rep in Norway?
2011 Nov 17, Norwegian security officials say the Nordic country has been hit by one of the most extensive data espionage attacks in the country's history. The Norwegian National Security Authority said industrial secrets from the oil, energy and defense industries have been stolen and disseminated.

I do not recall seeing this yesterday:
Wave Systems and Samsung Electronics have joined forces to extend the enterprise security features on Samsung’s Trusted Platform Module (TPM) chips, which are now being used to protect tablets as well as PCs.
As part of the arrangement, Wave will provide engineering services, consulting, validating, and a customized version of its local management software to Samsung for the TPM chips, which encrypt data to prevent hacking, thereby safe-guarding critical corporate and employee data.
"With billions of handhelds, tablets and slates in the hands of today's workforce, ensuring that these devices are known and trusted within the organization is paramount”, said Eric Ouellet, the research VP at Gartner.
"To date, the percentage of attacks against this class of device is relatively small, yet this is likely to change as these kinds of devices are increasingly becoming the primary computing platforms in today's enterprise environment"

I do not think its in the share price yet. Would expect a move into the $3 range when the news hits.
Very nice! Looks like a peek into the announcement expected within two weeks per SS and the CC.
You need to copy SS with this!
