What is WTSO?
Nicely said. This will be a very curious week with WAVX 2.50 options expiring on Friday.
Positive news may well release the tightly-held share holder spring. The recent low volume on rising share price bodes well.
Monday mornings have become for me something to look forward to, forget TGIF, ever since I discovered the WAVX story over 10 years ago.
Wave and the mobile space: A short timeline:
2004 Oct 27, NTT DoCoMo, Inc., Intel Corporation and IBM released a security specification called "Trusted Mobile Platform." The specification can help make advanced mobile-commerce services such as electronic tickets and e-wallets for online purchases more secure and help protect against viruses and other software attacks.

2006 Feb 15, So Trusted Computing, we’ve only talked about the PC space. We touched a little bit on Seagate and the peripheral space. But the Trusted Computing Group standards organization encompasses all devices: peripherals, storage, PCs and mobile devices. There’s a very active mobile working group that has a couple dozen members, all the major telephone companies, and the goal is to put interoperable credentials on PCs and cell phones. So I can check my email from my Blackberry against my corporate server without having to own a Blackberry server. Because the device should have an open platform for credentials that the IT department manages, not the cellular operator manages. And so this is very well underway. The specifications will get published this spring. We expect to see first devices this fall.

Still room for much upside here.

Here's some thoughts for comment over the weekend in anticipation of good things to come.
Regarding Wave share price there appears to be at least 5 competing teams involved. They include:
a) Hard-hold committed longs
b) Knowledgeable longs trading small portions on significant moves
c) Long term public funds accumulating shares
d) Hedge funds and computerized algorithms taking advantage of small and large SP changes
e) Individual shorts trading on significant moves.
The first three are relatively bullish on the prospects of the company.
The 4th is neutral on company prospects and just in operation to make money.
The 5th is neutral to bearish and operates just to make money.
Have I missed any significant players?

I think IHUB should institute a "like" status for user significant posts.

This is the best Pinot at this price range I have ever tasted. Of course it's not a great Pinot, but real nice with a spicy spaghetti dinner.

CNBC saying Dell up on reports that enterpise sales are moving up. Good for Dell = good for Wave!!
I think you sold way early. Seagate should do well as large scale sales kick in for encrypted drives.

Possible reasons for today’s end of day jump:
1) Leak of significant info
2) Forced short covering due to rising SP in a market upturn
3) Leak of insider buying
4) Accumulated positive news merging with market upturn
5) Wavoid family and friends holding tight and stocking up
6) “Subtle” professional manipulation ahead of significant close of October option positions
7) Recognition of accumulated information in the IHUB community
8) Something else
Have I missed anything?
If none of these are verified to some extent on 10/5/11 market open, SP will likely revert to the 2.50 range.
Looking forward to the day when you can say the same about Wave and Berkshire-Hathaway!!
Good value here.
I started this board some time ago and it lapsed for quite some time. Will participate but not actively moderate anything. I did recently enjoy a Grove Mill Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand, ~$9. Due to cash flow most of my selections tend to be in the $6 range from Trader Joe.
All games have rules.
In order to play legitimately, the rules of the game need to be followed.
I was thinking about this subject earlier today. Very serendipity.
If the rules of a game are not followed, chaos results. This chaos has often been renamed as war.
Well here's one if not two.
Welcome
Go for it!
I think this is a very good entry point.
Webcast Abstract:
By 2017, it's expected that almost all hard disk drives will be self-encrypting, which offers users highly secure data protection. What is driving this trend?
Dr. Thomas Coughlin, Coughlin Associates, has conducted an original new study forecasting the adoption of these new kinds of drives. In this free webinar/webcast Dr. Coughlin will discuss the hows and whys of self-encrypting drives (SEDs) and why your enterprise must be planning now for their deployment. Coughlin will also address key attributes of SEDs, their management and cost impact on your enterprise. He will reveal surprising insights from both makers of these drives and users. This valuable information, available for the first time from Dr. Coughlin and the Trusted Computing Group, will help your organization plan its near- and longer-term plan for migrating its data protection strategy. A short Q&A session will follow the presentation.

Sir - Computer security is shifting from software to hardware.
Please take note of the Trusted Computing Seminar in London, October 20, 2011.
http://www.liberatemedia.com/tag/trusted-computing-seminar/
To quote from those articles:
"But before acquiring Safend, Wave did not have removable media encryption, data leak prevention or the capability to quickly scan removable storage for viruses and remediate accordingly.
Safend’s products fill a gap in Wave’s portfolio and allows the company to sell into accounts that it previously could not support. It provides cross-selling opportunities in the health care, financial and government verticals where data loss protection is a high priority."
If not WAVX Fall or Winter, for sure think WAVX Spring!!!
A bit of time ago I suggested that WAVX could be the feather the breaks the back to the upside of the current economic crisis. Some here politely scoffed.
The back of the our crisis ridden camel has continued to hump.
Today WAVX added another, particularly weighty feather, to this humpy economic beast.
A great part of the current economic crisis is investor confidence.
As it becomes clear that there is a now a working solution to computer/internet security that would directly benefit worldwide banking systems, worldwide governments, worldwide corporations and worldwide consumers, it follows that the waning confidence in many of these institutions and environments should reverse direction.
Secure systems attract wary customers, secure banks attract business, secure companies attract investors, secure governments inspire citizen confidence.
The present economic dilemma is a huge train to turn and will take some time. Today I see pressure beginning to mount in effecting this turn. Many roses will bloom next summer.
As the WAVX cup slowly fills I will not argue too much weather or not it has reached the 11/16 or 12/16 level.
My eyes could barely read this distinction anyway.
The exciting part is watching it fill as Jermart continues to tug at his shorts.
I've just been converted to the glass three quarters type of guy with juice still coming in!!
What's your reload target?
2007 Oct 25, Wave Systems Corp. a leader in delivering trusted computing applications and services, and Safend, Inc, a leading provider of data leakage prevention solutions today announced a sales referral agreement. Enterprises deploying technologies from Wave and Safend can benefit from a layered security approach: Wave’s software is designed to manage trusted security hardware to encrypt data and restrict access to corporate information, while Safend’s comprehensive endpoint security solutions can help ensure data does not leave the corporation through unauthorized removal of storage and wireless devices.

Got it. Thanks
You mentioned "PS" two times as a major player with Bill Gates in this scenario. Would this be a typo meaning MS (Microsoft), or if not who is "PS."
You may just represent the infamous tipping point!!!
Recognition always precedes participation. May the cascade follow soon.
