Folks we have been manipulated by certain parties.
I wish we could get the SEC to investigate this one!
Boy oh boy....
Oh Brother Leslie Laroach calls Wave Systems....
WAVE-X! The KPMG statement is a standard disclosure item. It is not NEW news!!!
Unreal...
allshore Nice Find! Unreal how certain parties.......
will try to bash a company! Makes you wonder why anyone would want to try to do a start-up! Now that Wave Systems is making huge strides forward.....we see certain parties trying to bash the company for their own personal gain(s).
Why would Leslie LaRoche make an unfair inference when she has so many other stories to cover that are not innuendo driven?
So nutty....
Tally Ho
waverider...my intuition tells me something big is
going to happen given all the stock activity over the last several days. IMO, the institution(s) buying all these shares have broken up their buys into smaller lots in order to mask the situation. No way "retail" is generating this kind of daily vol. I am certain it is an institution(s) trying to keep it from looking too obvious.
The only answer IMHO....
Huge stock activity means something is going......
to break in the "financing/strategic partner' area. Maybe not but my intuition tells me something very significant is going to occur in this area.
Also, I wouldn't be surprised to see more deals like Cubic and Intel in the very short term future.
Wanna take the chance to short? Pls go ahead
Tally Ho
I think the next story is going to be financing or.........
something related. I think that Wave Systems is going to get a significant and very favorable financing arrangement.
Just my intuition based on the stock activity over the last several days.
Tally Ho
Y'know, after re-reading the DJ story it is actually.....
quite positive. Highlights the Intel deal and basically says that the IBM relationship is moving forward.
Frankly, I don't see anything negative in it at all.
Tally HO
OT: ISM #s WAY UP! WHOA.........
could be constructive for market.
whatever...
CNBC just showed WAVX #4 most active.
Nice exposure. There just HAS to be some sort of institutional buy in. No way this could be just "retail". I think it is some sort of orderly institutional accumulation (breaking up the trades to smaller lots so as to mask it) by a big entity.
Nothing else explains it...IMHO
MSFT is 2 years away & they are usually late.
Moreover,MSFT doesn't have a good record of releasing unbuggy software, especially in this arena.
I guess Intel doesn't want to wait around. And I still think MSFT is going to incorporate Wave Systems technology regardless.
Tally Ho
n4 Just want to say that I enjoy your posts.
I like your style. We have a group of new and rather tricky skeptics on board. Candidly, I have no issue with skepticism (a la SPIN let's say)when it is genuine and open. These new posters (who will remain unnamed) are clearly attempting to obfuscate the key issues by raising rather arcane topics. So obvious....
Setting the above aside, I think the recent stock action speaks volumes. No pun intended. Something is going on behind the scenes that would warrant the recent daily volume. In my view, there is little likelihood that "retail" could generate daily volumes covering the last 72 hours. Very little probability. So.....there has to be some sort of institutional participation. There has to be! The question is who and for what reason.
My guess is that a company is buying into Wave Systems in a systematic way. If so, then we should hear about this strategic move shortly.
If I am right, then we have to ask who. Well, I think it is Intel or MSFT. It must be WINTEL.
Tally Ho
Lots of Blue Highlighting Here! See.........
http://reuters.com/financeQuoteCompanyNewsArticle.jhtml?storyID=3215102&ric=wavx&infotype=ne...
Who was it yesterday that was whining about no blue highlighting?
For the skeptics here, the IBM development is FACT, not innuendo or unfounded inference.
Wave Systems investors want FACTS, not innuendo or aspersion.
IMHO, next up is HEWLETT PACKARD(COMPAQ).
Tally Ho
zakrosian Pundits said the same of Intel in late '70s.....
when the Japanese were eating their lunch for awhile. But guess what happened thereafter?
Listen...the vast majority of people here know the risks and know the rewards. Who exactly are you preachin' to?
Do you have a current position in Wave Systems stock?
Snackman Just a yellow flag comment.
Zeev Hed and some of these others strike me as a bit "off the wall".
My intuition tells me the manipulative daytraders see the high volume and are wanting to make a couple of shekels here and there by generating strange commentary.
Tally HO
zakrosian Wave Systems will have all the financing......
it wants given the latest developments. This is my opinion and I think it makes a good deal of common sense.
Secondly, I have checked Zeev Hed's board commentary and it seems he is a daytrader. A talkinghead who is also a daytrader is a dangerous combination. Sort of a "conflict of interest" type of thing....if you know what I mean.
My intuition tells me this on both scores abovementioned.
Tally Ho
awk Yup! In Euroland I think STM will climb aboard.......
given that Infineon has already expressed participation. In Asia we have Samsung and NEC joining and there will be others down the pike.
Here in the USofA we have Intel, AMD and NSM but there ought to be a host of other chipmakers climbing aboard.
I wouldn't be surprised to see DELL climbing aboard. Conceptually, DELL and Wave Systems are a good fit.
The list goes on and on.
MSFT is going to join up, IMHO. Just a matter of how, when and to what extent.
Tally Ho
P.S. I think Snackman should check out this Zeev character. He seems like he has an agenda that is not evenhanded.
Zeev hmmm interesting way of looking at things.
Tally Ho
Zeev check out your post on SI. Turnip talk....
is one weird way to look at the world.
http://www.siliconinvestor.com/stocktalk/msg.gsp?msgid=17580294
Not that there is anything wrong with it, but you have to admit it is "way out there".
ha ha ha....
Tally HO
Zeev Acc. to Silicon Investor you own it..see attached
http://www.siliconinvestor.com/stocktalk/subject.gsp?subjectid=37484
You are one funny dude..
ha ha ha
Zeev...give it up pal. We've checked your profile and
we know your daytrade operation. Go ahead and daytrade Wave Systems for the shekel here and there that you desperately seek
Sheeesh..
Attached Zeev Hed Profile.......
http://www.investorshub.com/boards/profile.asp?user=12322&PrevStart=1269347
I did some investigation on ole Zeev. One of his favorite tactics is elementary "patent analysis" to create "fog" amidst interested parties. Ole Zeev is going to daytrade Wave Systems for some shekels here and some shekels there.
ha ha ha...so typical.
OT: Zeev Hed = Nutty Daytrader. See Profile attached....
just one word: Sheeeeshhh.....
OT: I Have Attached Zeev's Website. Funny....
http://www.funphone.com/veg/zt.html
What a nutty and wacky world we live in. Ha Ha Ha....
Tally Ho
Zeev...spare me. Lark Allen, David Kravitz are names that...
I can relate to. Please....don't dig yourself into a deeper and deeper hole.
sheesh...
Has anyone here (besides Snackman) been a victim.....
of ID Theft? I am talking about the real deal....when one's entire identity is effectively stolen and their entire financial and personal identity is turned UPSIDE DOWN. http://www.consumer.gov/idtheft/Bank accounts wiped out. Credit history DESTROYED. Financial records DELETED. The whole enchilada.
ID Theft is the worst theft conceivable. You no longer exist in essence. It is a TERRIBLE state of affairs.
Think about it...if you DARE!
Read this link:
http://www.consumer.gov/idtheft/
This is why we need digital security. Intel knows it. MSFT knows it in a BIG BIG BIG way. Gates is OBSESSED by it!!!!
Wave Systems has the "right stuff".
Tally HO
trustcousa...63 million shares. Mostly retail?
Tough sell.
alanrs Welcome. I think I will listen to INTEL........
a bit more seriously than ole Zeev. But then again, maybe Zeev ought to call up Mr. Craig Barrett and say, "Hey, Craig! What are ya smokin'?"
Sheesh....
flyer...One has to expect the "sour grapes" crowd......
emerging whilst saying that Intel is "dopey" and Wave Systems doesn't really have what it takes to make it to the big leagues.
This is to be expected. I suspect that these individuals have some sort of "problem" given the new landscape.
Oh well, so it goes.....
alanrs...Not selling Zeev short. But I sure hope he....
is selling Wave Systems short! Ha ha ha.....
Just a joke. Hey, who am I supposed to believe? Intel or Zeev?
Intel says Wave Systems has got the "right stuff"! Zeev says otherwise.
OK...sure, I will go with Zeev. NOT!
sheesh....
Larry Absolutely! But you have to admit it sounds.......
like a serious case of the "sour grapes". Sheesh.
And so it goes....
Larry it sounds like "sour grapes".
Sorry...it is what it is.
So it goes
Larry Yeah, I'm sure you don't see very many of those!
Tally Ho
Zeev Hed had dreams of teaming with Intel or.......
a similar Gorilla but he couldn't do it! So, Wave Systems has succeeded where he failed and now we have the classic case of
"sour grapes".
So it goes
Zeev It seems Intel sees things differently.
The fact is that Wave's technology is far superior to anything out there in its space. Also, consumers want digital security NOW. Here is why:
http://www.consumer.gov/idtheft/
Back when you were starting your company, ID Theft as well as other digital piracy (not to mention global security concerns)were not as big a threat.
Trusted environments need to happen. As it happens, those who don't "trust" their networks will be shunned. Why would an enterprise who "trusted" its network want to deal with someone who was "untrusted"?
Tally Ho
Omega..Well, I guess I want to be a little conservative
here. A major player could indeed be dominant in its market segment. I would be happy with "major" status because this would mean that Wave Systems would develop into a very very profitable franchise. If Wave Systems becomes dominant like Intel, then all of us will retire nicely...so to speak.
Tally Ho
awk You are right. Currently.
However, I think the profit margins will be very high...eventually. This will bring in new players. Wave Systems will fight the good fight to maintain its major player status. This is the way of life.
awk...this is just the beginning. However, Wave Systems has a major partner in its corner....INTEL. Actually, before it is over I think Wave Systems will have a Number of Gorillas in its corner. This will make life a whole lot easier.
Tally Ho
Omega, I think you are right regarding the momentum......
toward "trusted" environments. The market is ready given global security concerns and rapidly growing phenomena such as ID Theft. If given the choice, consumers will pick better security vs. no security. This is especially so in today's global environment. SO, I think the deployment to trusted environments will be rather quick and pretty much universal. Indeed, why would anyone want to deal with an "untrusted" entity if given the choice. In fact, should I go to the trouble of "trusting" my computer network...then why would I deal with an "untrusted" entity? Doesn't make sense? So, the deployment cycle will take on a force of its own and be much quicker than people think
Having said the above, it is unwise to think that Wave Systems will dominate the digital security realm like Intel dominates the chip realm. Wave Systems will be a MAJOR PLAYER in its own slice of the digital security space, that is Web Services. This is HUGE in its own right. If indeed Wave Systems becomes a MAJOR player in this realm, then all of us will be very very Happy.
Finally, I think Wave's profit margins will be quite high once the Web Services dynamic kicks in. Frankly, it doesn't cost much to operate the enhanced Web Service applets once they are activated and utilized by the greater public.
Tally Ho
CM...yes, you are right. I think I was thinking of the
old TCPA wherein Wave Systems was invited to be a founding member but they declined for whatever reason.
Maybe this has it right.
thnx
doma/awk....These slides are very interesting.
It seems that Wave Systems counted on the Intel deal to be the LYNCHPIN to mass deployment. Lo and behold, it looks like their strategic plan is being realized very very nicely.
The next BIG step is to work with MSFT. Along the way, however, I think we will see some good deals with the likes of ST Microelectronics, Nokia, defense security types like Cubic, and maybe even Cisco. Handhelds will be really big downstream.
Y'know....one can just go on and on and on theorizing about all of this. However, the FACT that Intel has effectively "blessed" Wave Systems make this much much more that just "theory". THIS IS BIG....VERY VERY VERY BIG!!!
