Awk. Thanks for posting the address for the pamphlet. Reading it is a must for WAVX stockholders. It is all there. I am very excited about our future.

I was. I guess I am just getting older and less tolerant. This marks my 16th year of faithful wavoidness. I am very grateful to this community for the constant flow of information. I realize we are way ahead of the curve and that sometimes leads to a liberal amount of frustration. But I am more convinced than ever that my decision to overweight my portfolio in WAVX shares will be rewarded. Keep the baby, faith.
Katmai
Thank you for taking the time to go and to give us a rather detailed accounting of your impressions. I anticipate that some of our more active DDers will respond to you. I look forward to that. Thanks again.
Katmai
Another nice buying opportunity for Wavoids. Able to pick up some more which will stay in my hands until Las Vegas and beyond. Thanks again for the DD. As far as SP we are in the dark before dawn, but it is coming...................
Katmai
don't know that the Army will want to publicly proclaim the architecture of their system security.
I agree with your statement. Of course we would like to have an announcement, but I think that the government would likely want to minimize any specific information that they perceive would give a peek into how they will be securing their weapons systems.
Katmai
Got some more shares today. Nice to be long. I like how the future is stacking up.
Did you authorize your shares to moved to margin? If not, can that be done without your knowledge or permission? I eliminated my margin account to preclude the possibility of my shares being used or borrowed.
Katmai
I was pleased with the quarter. Of course as a long time investor I would have been delighted with an upsize surprise but I remain positive about the hockey stick still occuring... The strategy of planting flags all over the place will pay off. We cannot minimize the tremendous power of the intrenched software security and the inertia of IT professionals. It is sort of like IT folks don't read the newspapers. It may take something catastrophic to force the paradigm change, as Steven sort of hinted.
Katmai
They walked it down again in the last five minutes. Disgusting.
Katmai
MM's. Instead of Market Makers they should be called Market Manipulators. Crazy to watch the action.
Katmai
It should be an interesting week. Two great news releases today combined with the NSA Conference should make tongues wag in the security world.

From todays Build Windows conference:
• Building hardware-based security with a Trusted Platform Module (TPM)
o Rob Spiger,Stefan Thom
o Security,OEM,IHV,Silicon
o BUILD2011
o HW-462T
o September 14, 2011 from 5:00PM to 6:00PM
I’m Rob Spiger. I’m a Senior Program Manager on the Windows Security and Identity team. For Windows 8, I am responsible for the Trusted Platform Module strategy.
I’m Stefan Thom. I’m a Senior Software Development Engineer on the Windows Security team. I am an inventor of BitLocker Drive Encryption and I have filed over 20 patents for Microsoft over the years. For Windows 8, I am responsible for increasing trust in the OS and confidentiality of secrets by applying hardware security with the Trusted Platform Module. This will allow the creation of strong, tamperproof identities and the ability to do remote attestation of the OS configuration. Other than being a total technology geek, I enjoy baking bread, brewing beer and making cheese in my spare time.

FYI
How about "secure computing".........
The Council looks like it is just for the "big fish." But I agree that SKS would have a lot to contribute.

I, too, found this morning's "walk-down" as an opportunity to add a few more shares to my long held position. Thanks MM's and shorters!!
Katmai
OT My wife is going overseas on assignment and I would like to get her a light notebook that has TPM and capabilities for Wave software. Any thought appreciated and can do a private post or email to obednelson@gmail.com. Thanks
Katmai
I wanted to pick up a few more shares at this bargain price, but Scottrade would not let me unless I contacted my local office. I am in Alaska for the summer. This is bogus. Have any others found this dilemma? I have lots of shares in my account with Scottrade.
Katmai
Yes you can. Go to the Wave website and click on news. Then you will be able to click on the event and listen to it.
Katmai
Was there any significant after hours trading today?
TIA
Katmai
We just passed 1 Million shares in less than 2 hours. Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

It has been a long, often frustrating journey since 1996 but due largely to your leadership I and many others have kept the faith. I too achieved blackness early this morning. The thrilling part for many of us who have slogged through this journey is that is only beginning to be seen by the market as a whole. 2010 should be a great year. Vegas will only be just the beginning of what should be a nice long ride for many of us who have kept the faith. And I agree it is nice to see many of the old faces reappearing after a long hiatus.
Best to all of you. Thanks Snackman, Awk, Weby and countless other who have been very faithful in your DD.

Another leak points out the need for trusted computing.

On January 20 I wrote to the new white house site (www.whitehouse.gov) and suggested that it would be a good idea to mandate that all computers that do government business have a TPM chip. I left the trusted computing url.
Just trying to do my part to raise awareness. Go Wave.
Katmai
The sale of Wave Express will no doubt occur before the end of the year which will help reduce the employee count. I would hope that Wave will hang on to a portion of it. A reduction of $1.5 million in the 4th quarter will help in the cash flow arena. While I was disappointed in the quarterly growth, I am still confident in the long term viability and success of WAVX.
KATMAI
Awk, Sheldon and other trusted contributors. Does this not have WAVE written all over this document...PKI etc? I am not a techie but a long time lurker. I got excited perusing this document. Thanks Dabears4.
Katmai
I received the same e-mail. Someone knowledgeable from our board should give feedback and note that the article did not point out that the Seagate Momentus 5400 FDE.2 HDD which has been approved by NSA for classified government encryption is available from Dell. Combined with the Wave EMBASSY suite it provides the best security possible.
Katmai
Thanks for sharing about your mother. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. As a former resident of Austin I have pictured you for years as a wonderful, sensitive man who has shared so much with this wonderful community. May your precious memories of both your mom and dad buoy you during the days to come.
Katmai
Watkins's comments on encryption are a must listen for Wavoids. Add to this the job listed by Taxi Vader and it spells out the fact that Seagate will be actively promoting in the near future....all good for Wave.
Thanks again for the wonderful DD
Katmai
I have not gotten any more information. But you can be sure that if and when I do, I will share it with the board.
Katmai
I will forward any more information that I can glean re implementation of the notebooks within the system. I will be traveling this weekend to the Twin Cities (MSP/ST PAUL). The office my son-in-law works in is rather small, so the people responsible there may not have a clue about the larger picture.
But I will repeat the mantra......it's coming.
Katmai
The two Dell laptops he must choose from are the Latitude 430 or the Latitude 630. It appears to me that both have Wave's Embassy Suite. If this mandate is system wide, it is huge because this European based firm is listed as the world's largest manager of private wealth.
Katmai
Major brokerage firm mandates Dell laptops. I just talked to my son-in-law in St. Paul, MN who is a broker for one of the worlds largest brokerage firms, headquartered in Europe. He was told today that he must get a new laptop to replace the one he has at work. When I asked him which brand he said Dell. When I asked what number he said it was one of two--he thought 600 something. I asked him to e-mail the information to me tomorrow. So when I get it I will share it with you. Needless to say this got me very, very excited.
Katmai
After listening to the cc yesterday I came away with the impression that Steve has quite a bit of anxiety over being able to adequately handle to business when the "hockey stick" surge begins to happen. I got the impression that one of the biggest challenges he has is to adequately time the need for adding personnel to handle the anticipated (and unanticipated) surge.
Did anyone else get this impression?
As a patient and long term investor, I find this to be very exciting. And thanks SL for your succinct comment.
Katmai
PR Considerations. I own shares in another company which sells video surveilance equipment. In their PRs they never identify a company who installs one of their systems. Companies are reluctant to tip their hands relative to security.
Just a thought.....
I,like all of you, are anxious to hear 3rd Quarter results. It has taken the patience of Job, but I remain hopeful.
Katmai
Nobody wants to sell. For the first ten minutes on Scottrade the ask was 2.94 then it dropped to 2.66. Interesting.
Katmai
Sixty six percent of us estimated revenues at 1.2 million or less for the quarter. I was very pleased that it almost hit 1.3 million. And in spite of one particularly obnoxious questioner (whom Steven handled with more patience than I would have displayed) I was very, very pleased to hear the excitement in Steven's presentation as he laid out the picture of the enormity of the opportunity that lies ahead in the not too distant future.
As an investor now going on my 12th year I am certainly not sorry that I have put so many eggs in Wave's basket. My grandchildren's educational portfolios will indeed be interesting in the next ten years.
I am grateful to all of you for the wonderful contributions you make to this community. I am looking forward to Las Vegas where I can put some faces to the names of my friends on this board. When I count up the hours I have spent reading this thread and its predecessor threads, it has been quite a ride.
The foresight and passion of SKS to have this little ole company sitting at table with the behemoths of the computer industry is quite something.
Best to you all,
Katmai
Thanks Snackman for all you do. As a long time shareholder I share the frustration...but I do believe that we are at the cusp of seeing our hopes realized. Hang in there gang. I'm buying more on Monday.
Katmai
Yes I saw them all over the lists...........so I would imagine that with them being a platinum sponsor and at least two other licensees there, a lot of buzz was generated about Waves esignature. Like weets says.........its coming.
