BCON's flywheel technology is being pursued by some other companies, obviously with some minor adjustments to avoid a patent dispute. But the problem has been that BCON has not struck when the iron was hot. Check a 5 year chart on BCON
LKEN has been a scary stock. But, like they say, volatility breeds opportunity. I missed this one, FT, but congratulations on your call
I can't tell you how often I have found a company that seems neglected, but has improving fundamentals. I have bought in. Sometimes I have had to be way more patient than I wanted to, but then some better news than expected happened. Volume pours in and I have a nice 100-150% profitable trade on my hands.
JLWT does not have enough volume right now for me to buy alot at one time. But I buy some more every so often so I can get some at the bid or at least under the ASK.
JLWT still has only 21 million shares with a very low oublic float of 6 something million shares. No wonder there is low volume right now. But when buying overwhelms selling, JLWT could get to $1.00 quickly.
I know, duh, more buying than selling a price goes up. But if JLWT popped up like that, I do think it would come back some, but not all the way down here. If you do a look at value, JLWT will do probably something over $100 million in revenue. And, with that last acquisition with margins about 4-6 times greater
than the rest of JLWT's other revenue, we could see a doubling of their net income this year.
Pretty good info. ON the ground information. You know there is going to be cuts on educational loans and the like in the new budget.
I'm in MCLM with you!
I heard about MNKD a year ago and decided not to get in despit the fact that the CEO put in alot of his personal capital and guarantees. Apparently, he was too confident about the drug.
But I bit near the bottom at 6.95 today. I do not think this story is over.
Got in MNDP when I started seeing the e-mail alerts on it.
Beacon Power has been the proberbial stallion these past two to three weeks. The flywheel technology has been around for awhile, but it seems that there is more acceptance in the energy sector to check it out more than ever before. BCON is the cheapest of all the flywheel companies out there--based on price, not market capitalization. Would not mind a little more help from the company on some more press, though.
Where is the breakout pooint, IYO, for BDYT?
JLWT could double their net income vs. last year if the Ferrara profit margins turn out to be as healthy as announced. I went through their filings, and it looks like the company has Ferrara, like you said, for the first time kicking in their revenue and high gross profit margins in their last quarter. If they continue to report on time--which they seem to do all the time--JLWT should file by Feb. 15 or so. I would think that the First quarter of 2010 (last year)which ended way back Dec. 31, 2009(bad times for all businesses),would show great improvement in revenues. I would not be surprised if their revenue went up 50% compared to last year's quarter.
I tend to agree with you. Looks like their public float is under 6.5 Million shares and major league insider ownership. With less than 21 Million shares outstanding, this company just needs to be found by more investors through more press releases and any media than can find. When it comes right down to it, does any company have a good investment thesis if no one knows what that investment thesis is. You can't expect the average trader/investor to find it on their own. It sure helps when the company helps new invstors find them. LOL
But, I like discovering new ideas before the masses. Just do not want to find them too early, like months before. I do have an impatient streak in me. My biggest hit was buying a stock that had no volume, no one heard of the symbol, but I got in before the fundamentals started attracting attention...and buying.
Which is why I have a small amount of JLWT right now. If it got up above .42 on good volume, I would buy more. Just works for me. GL, TD
ARCH Coal was downgraded yesterday by Goldman Sachs.
COCO could really run if they could give some encouraging news on their loan default rates.
Could you put up a chart on EXOU? Thanks
The SHORT INTEREST on MIPS can give some fuel to a short squeeze.
8,761,377 shares short as of Dec. 31.
MIPS needs to be "found" by the technology investor masses.
WXOU should put out news to keep these gains. I got some, and I am nervous. Have to wait to Tuesday.
Nothing venture, nothing gained, though. Right?

WLSV looks good all of a sudden. Shipping is going gangbuster.
I got a few e-mails on CWRN--from HOTOTC and such. Glad I did not bite. Someone was selling into the paid hype.
Checking on this JLWT. Seems to be undervalued based on revenue. Would like to see more fall to the bottom line. Does anyone know or have an idea on this Ferrrar acquistion--$7 Million in revnue with margins up to 35% (according to the press release when they closed on the deal.).
I am not going to be simplistic and say all the business is at 35%, but if the average was, for kicks, just 20%, the gross profit margin on that business would be $1.4 Million.
Am I right on this? Missing something?
INTC had great news. Now it is MIPS' turn
Christmas sales for the Drooid should put MOT over $10, imo. But, I guess we ahve to wait until those numbers come in next year.
