I did call the company one time last year, got a machine and left a message.
I was not home when Jim returned the call and he left a message which answered my question.
That was all. I thing B_T or someone else has talked to him directly on the phone but not sure.
If you email him, and he is busy, he usually checks them and sends a reply early in the am, like 6 am. And if he is not busy,
he has replied in the mornings too. But, that is only what I have seen from the past. GLTA
yes, I suppose that will happen when this stock starts getting
some volume again and starts acting like a stock of a really
good startup company that AFTC is. Meanwhile I have nothing better to do. Please prove me wrong. I would like to move on.
GLTA
G_M yes, please do... ask him... because any business can pay a news service to send out a news release any time. It does not have to be through the pinks sheets.
Luna has already forwarded Jim the news service that does inexpensive $149 for a pr.
It said it would go over yahoo business news, and others listed on their news sale coverage page.
And the news release company looked first class and legitimate,
he could use that for DME updates too.
no PR10 he DID answer the question in his reply email,
I just did NOT like his answer
which was, he said the best way to help
the shareholders was to win more business,
but that is every businesses goal, and it pays his bills,
but does nothing to help the shareholders since the stock value
has dropped for 2 and 1/2 years since the Ford press release in 2009.
He could do a press release, or convert the shares to a nonvoting preferred (if it is possible) then issue more common stock to raise capital,or upgrade to the highest level of the OTC, there are a LOT of options but they have not done anything to reach new investors or the green energy public.
I hate to say it but Fredscam was right, if you look at the information stated and the results it is all bad for the shareholders.
OTC has no accountability. And some of us were not planning on waiting years.
Pr10, Jim no longer has any reasons not to do an official
press release. First he said he wouldn't because of the diluted shares being dumped at the news. (but they are gone now.) Then they were saving cash ($3000? for a Marketwire news release, but other news services can do one for $149.)
then he needed to have a real $ contract coming in. He got that with the army $700,000. Then he needed army approval. He got that too. Then he said after the news was posted on the website the news wires would pick it up, and that has not happened. And he did say in an email last winter that he WOULD follow the army news posting on the website with an official press release. New investors will never hear
about this company unless a regular press release is given. Those are just the facts. And I really don't care what anyone thinks, I try to invest based on facts, and when statements from the CEO (who is also head of investor relations) continue to be false, I have a reason to ask why.
why no official press releases?
it is no longer the cost, as they can be sent for $149. or so.
And if all the dilution shares are out of the system,
there should not be any reason why a press release
will only help the company and the shareholders.
Interesting to know that in 2009, when AFTC wanted
to raise funds they had press releases on a regular basis.
But when the shareholders need some support,
it is no longer convenient for AFTC to do it?
I guess they have forgotten it was our $...
from the 400 million shares they sold on the market that
is paying for the company. And a drop for 7 cents in 2009 to 2 cents
in Jan 2010 to .0008 cents now is unacceptable for a company with
over a million $ in contracts and several other large orders pending.
B_T I covered all the reasons in my response,
either he cant because anything else would be trade secrets
or insider information. Do you really think he is holding back any info just for your "shareholder meeting"?
You can email or call him right now and ask him anything.
thanks B_T, the full article said that a blend
of up to 20% DME can be used in equipment that runs LPG,
without changing the equipment for DME. Any amount higher
will need new DME fuel systems. At least this will get
the DME information out to the USA public.

Go AFTC. I just hope the European
car order comes in soon so Jim can get the extra financing the
company needs for expansion.

North America's First On-Road DME/Propane Fuel Demonstration Launched
12 October 2011 | Calgary, Albert, Canada
GV Energy announced the start of North America's first on-road demonstration of a vehicle running on a DME/propane blend, part of a series of on-road demonstrations of DME fueled vehicles to be conducted in Canada and the United States over the next 18 months.
The world's first portable DME fueling station - built by NextGen Integrated Engineering and requiring no electrical connections to operate - is another innovation linked to the project. Modifications required for the vehicle to run on the DME/propane were done by Technocarb, a leading supplier of alternative fuel conversion systems.

B_T it is all good, you take the long road,
I take the short road. It is still a free country.
common sense... more talk is a waste of time
thanks but I will pass, Jim has answered all our
questions already in the emails. I am with Gainmaker,
lets see shareholder results. There are less expensive
public relations tools for web publicity,
whether it is for DME green energy or for military
contracts, but the USA does not even get a chance
to learn about AFTC. Hopefully this will change soon.
All the other energy businesses are advertising why is it
that no one knows about AFTC when it is made here?
GLTA
thanks Gainmaker, by comparison, a 30 year old regular diesel fuel injection pump
for my 1/2 ton pickup truck, that is rebuilt from a worn out one costs $1000. (retail)
that does not include the fuel injectors, the high pressure rails,
or the fuel sending pump. All of which are needed for the new dme system. My guess is it will be a lot higher for everything. This is top of the line current technology and will be a showcase fleet. Lower production costs will take volume and time.
It would be a big contract, but aftc is correct in being suspicious, as Korea may want a volume price quote for 5000, then only want to order 500, and ask for the same lower price. AFTC has plenty of reason to be careful when working with customers that test and talk and have not committed any real parts orders. But, the army does not play games, they will save a lot on lower long term costs with the new more durable systems.
answers to your questions can be found in several of the past emails,
and others are just common sense!!!
it seems like AFTC is on the next level above of most competitors.
All the way back in 2009 they had designs for a "next generation fuel system and engine"... ect.
1. ? don't know what others are thinking.
2. ? don't know what others are thinking.
3. why would aftc need help negotiating with the army? That should be the easy part.
4. I would think in house, because 1, the can control the quality and 2, they can control the trade secrets, by only hiring who they trust. As far advanced as aftc's systems are they do not have to sell volume, but high tech and quality.
5. my guess from the last email, was if they had the funds they would move to the NASDAQ.
6. why would you ask that, when 1. they want to make parts for the ARMY, 2, they want to make parts for Euorpe car company and 3, they want to make parts for S Korean company, plus any other small business they can get selling just the fuel delivery pump. (from the tank, not the engine fuel system pump).
7. I think the 2011 new release mentioned it was for a multi-cylinder car, and since aftc is waiting on a Production contract, the testing for a multi-cylinder engine should already be complete. The single testing started in Aug of 2009, two years ago when the first test unit was supposed to be ready to ship.
8. common sense says VL took all the info and paid their friends to build it.
9. It has to be a lot more durable to make R+D $ available and for the army to want to buy all new fuel systems. Cost analysis had to be done a long time ago.
10. I don't think it would not be cost effective to try to upgrade standard diesel systems. But they did say they would build DME conversion systems if needed for older diesels.
11. common sense again says YES, why not, and NO they are not going to tell everything, it's the competition, although there was a lot of new dme news at the last years international DME convention, one project was with a DME two stroke engine, lots in the r+ d of all green energy right now.
12. no but in general, any next generation fuel / engine systems will have to be very efficient, thus the higher pressures, smoother flows and lighter components.
13. he already said china was not in any hurry to spend the money.
14. he just said in an recent email, the army just did an in house inspection last week or so, and the army was very pleased with aftc.
And any improvements will be done when the testing / durability data show a need for them.
I hope this shows that common sense and the past info already give to everyone answers 90% of these questions. Most of anything new AFTC cannot say as it would be insider information OR it would compromise their trade secrets.
So, if you want to have a web chat to make yourselves feel better,
go ahead, but I think it is a waste of time, as Jim has already answered all our questions the best he can within his limits.
IMHO and GLTA
when will the news released on the website
get picked up by the news wires that supposedly visit the website and pass the info along?
from post #5528
"By posting on the investor hub and our website (we get hundreds of hits/day), the news wires will pick it up."
It is for a delivery truck made in S. Korea
that I know for sure, but not the name for sure, but this is the only one I found in a search and I do remember the truck name had a "M" in it.
This is my BEST GUESS, GLTA
I remember it being mentioned a long time ago, that Kier was helping and the DME truck was going to me something like (I think it was this one, but not for sure)
The Hyundai e-Mighty is a line of light-duty commercial vehicles by Hyundai Motor Company.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hyundai_Motor_Company
+ Headquartered in Seoul, South Korea, Hyundai operates the world's largest integrated automobile manufacturing facility
(this link has a LOT of info on Hyundai and they are HUGE and have a lot of funds, and built a LOT here in the usa already, great article on the company)
2005...Hyundai America Technical Center moved to its new 200,000-square-foot (19,000 m2), $117 million headquarters in Superior Township, Michigan (near Ann Arbor) in 2005.
+++ 2011 October...(the president Obama was just in Michigan with the South Korean rep visiting a few weeks ago, it was on the evening news about the new trade agreement)
...Kier has taken 3 years of DME testing partly because they were building a NEW engine to run the DME, I wonder if it will be similar to this one, already a diesel easy to use DME in...a 1.7-liter twin-turbo diesel engine along with electric - see below
(The Hyundai Blue Will plug-in hybrid has made its U.S. debut at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit 2010.[75][76]
In 2010 the company is going to launch the mass-market Hyundai i10 EV. Includes a LG 16 kW·h lithium-ion battery, for 100 miles (160 km) all electric range, and a 49 kW·h electric motor
At the 2010 Geneva Motor Show, Hyundai unveiled the i-flow, a concept car using a variant of the BLUE-WILL hybrid system. The i-flow Concept uses a 1.7-liter twin-turbo diesel engine along with electric batteries to achieve fuel economy of 3 litres per 100 kilometres (94 mpg-imp; 78 mpg-US). Hyundai says a production car based on the i-flow's design will be in production by 2011.)
yes, Gainmaker that is true,
read the past posts, they talk about KIER and "the" European DME car project.
If Keir does want 5000 complete DME Fuel systems, that should be
well over a 1 million dollar order. If they want to convert Nat gas to DME with the help of Total Oil of France and run it in their truck fleet, that will give AFTC a great start in production and plenty of funds to expand. That is just how a startup company grows, no one wants it until they get the big $ order, then you wont see anymore shares at sub 1 cents.

2. I can’t post on PinkSheets because our yearly subscription expired ($16,000) and I no longer have an IR firm. Without financials on PinkSheets, a PR is not very valuable.
By posting on the investor hub and our website (we get hundreds of hits/day), the news wires will pick it up.

I don’t think that you understand how a company raises money on PinkSheets....
I think that all of the cheap stock is out of the system, so it is possible to start building on success. However, we need capital and can only get it by using internal funds. In this case, my salary and rental income.
A major OEM deal would solve the problems, so we are working towards that end.

To be honest, I don’t know what we are going to do. The PinkSheets market is corrupt and NASDAQ is too expensive to even consider.
What we are trying to do is to keep our cash flow positive while making investments in the business—without issuing more stock. We haven’t issued stock in several years and will never do so again.
Our cash flow is positive and we are just about profitable. ...
but the business is growing.
We are trying to find a strategy that helps our small stockholders and still allows us to grow the business. The only strategy that works is to get more business and expand...
We are working on several deals that could be very big,...
I attach for your perusal an income statement history (1st quarter) from sort of a competitor, Westport Innovations. Westport develops and markets natural gas fuel systems for truck engines. They are very, very good at generating capital through the sale of stock and debentures while losing $millions every year. I don’t understand the market.

There was news published last Thursday on IHUB. I attach a copy.
We intended to publish this on our website, along with financials, but we ran into both software issues and time. My IT person is also a key designer, and we were preparing for a technical review with the Army. Therefore, we decided to publish the news on an investor related site.
We had our Army review meeting today and it went very well.
Hopefully, we will be able to publish our financials on our website on Thursday.

I called the army sbir office today to see if they
had any reason for the press releases to take up to six months to be approved, when it is already public info on their website.
The first person said they did not know anything about it,
and the second person said only the CEO or other company employee, can ask about that process.
So, nothing new here, except a phone number if anyone else wants to give them a call and try to get them to explain in general why it takes so long.

repost of some facts,
reposted from a reply that AoK4Long posted,
from (Jim)
"We can’t seem to accomplish anything with PinkSheets except to pay a lot of fees and watch our stock drop when we release good news.
-?- We are searching for an answer.
- As soon as the Army grants permission, you will see a lot of news on our website.
- We have new R/D business with the Koreans and are quoting production volumes.
- Also, we have an active passenger car project in Europe."
(this is where the good news is, if anyone can figure it out.
... now lets see some results.)
OK PROPH, thanks for clearing that up.
Just more misunderstanding.
1. I don't ever remember saying you were personally attacking AFTC or Jim. And sorry if you took it like that (whatever it was). Although I do like pushing your R button, just so you are more aware of what you are really backing. And because it always makes steam come out of your ears...
2. What good is more talk going to do?
no thanks, I am not wasting any more of my time. And wont be posting here any longer. Thanks for all the real facts and updates.
I will be checking back, but just reading from now on.
GLTA
too much legal risk for him to post anything public.
there are a lot of regulations and he is trying to be safe.
looks to me like you are making things up.
I still don't see anywhere that JIM said that. Anyhow, even if he did, I am tired of talk. I invested hard earned $ into this after HE said he was upgrading to FULL information last Oct 2010 and it was ALL a lie. No excuses. the investment was a total loss again for the last 12 mos. Those are the facts. Too bad he cares more about the company and not the shareholders that FUNDED this company with a 400% dilution and a couple of million in HIS pocket to accomplish his goals. ...just saying look at the track record.
But that does not have anything to do with the future, so
GLTA
prop, I did not see anywhere in Jim's reply that he says
he wants a shareholder meeting... what are you talking about?
(there is only what you are asking before his reply about us getting 25 together to have a meeting).
yes, that is what the website is for. Not sure why he is not updating it or have an investor Q + A section. That would be a lot easier than the repeat questions in the emails. Thanks Gainmaker.
I think you guys are totally out to lunch.
As the CEO and holder of 100% of the voting shares,
Jim has complete control of this company, and he does what he wants to when HE wants to.
And he has already been baby sitting us through the emails that he NEVER had to respond to.
He will never bother with an unproductive and possible libel (if he accidentally gave out any insider info) chat with anyone.
He may talk to you personally on the phone, if he feels it is appropriate.
He has already answered all your questions over and over.
Investing on the pink sheets has the highest risk, if you can't handle it just sell and quit bothering the CEO.
I also think he has plans that HE IS NOT TELLING us about to stabilize the stock value and get it closer to the real value of the company and pending production. That is just my GUESS and that is why I am invested in AFTC, because I am in it for the long run.
GLTA
Only financial data posted, exchange guidelines met and official news pr's to the investment world will support the shareholders,
just more fluff wont do any good. This is a business and we are investors, I would like to see some real actions.
Everyone, the email only stated that AFTC is still waiting on permission to release the details of the SBIR as stated in their contract.
This information is already known. GLTA
I still think the news that the Koreans are pricing production contracts will be bigger news anyhow.
this was mentioned in his reply to Aok4Long a few days ago, see his post.
"We have new R/D business with the Koreans and are quoting production volumes. Also, we have an active passenger car project in Europe."
I received a reply from Jim this am, everything he has said is true.
The army regulations are holding up the official news release.
Even though the SBIR award is listed on the army website as WON,
AFTC CANNOT RELEASE ANY DETAILED INFORMATION WITHOUT OFFICIAL APPROVAL FROM THE ARMY AS SAID IN THEIR CONTRACT.
The army control is in the "details", not the general info. So, yes, everyone can see that they won a second sbir phase II, but no other info has been officially released.
Jim did apply for permission to release the information. They are still waiting for approval. It is that simple.
And that also explains why it is NOT shown on the DOD SBIR awards website. (that website releases DETAILS, about what it is and the size of the award.)
(I only asked about the army sbir award being listed and public information. I hope this helps answer most of your questions and clears up any doubts about the CEO's integrity.)
Everyone pls do not personally attack the ceo of this company,
he is doing the best he can, and it is not helping by being negative.
The email looks like the facts are not clear, seems he is referring to phase I which was already pr'ed.
And Jim does not have to say anything, he has legal reasons to be silent. He has been very helpful to give us a general updates on the condition of the company. If you don't like risk then dont invest in the otc pinks startup companies.
Getting ready to line up production orders is great, a dme auto project in europe is great, and I have been holding for two years,
I think I can wait a little longer.
Good news is coming, if anything I will try to buy more below .0020.
Everyone have a great weekend and be glad you found this investment in the first place, or just sell and let us enjoy our investments.
probably just a daytrader who bought the last two months
below .0010 waiting to cash out on the first sign of a pr.
I am waiting for the real news, whatever F is doing and what plans Jim has with his attnys for the shares.
go ahead and vote for who you like, I am just stating the facts that affected this company this year
I have voted R and D and independent, whoever seems the most honest at the time...lol
SBIR info this is a "recent" phase I info
SBIR PHASE I: RECENT
11.2 PHASE I SELECTIONS
The Army received 834 Phase I proposals in response to 50 topics in the 11.2 DoD SBIR Solicitation, which closed 29 June 2011. These proposals were evaluated against the evaluation criteria published in the solicitation book, and rank-ordered for selection. The Army selection process resulted in the identification of 105 Phase I proposals for negotiation and award. Awards are to be made pending completion of successful negotiations and availability of FY11 funds. The Army intends to make all awards no later than early November 2011.
<this looks like it would cover the one submitted in July of 2011, but I am not for sure.>
This is the "Past" phase I info, it goes on for each 6 mos dates to the past...
SBIR PHASE I: PAST
11.1 PHASE I SELECTIONS
The Army received 1306 Phase I proposals in response to 68 topics in the 11.1 DoD SBIR Solicitation, which closed 12 January 2011. These proposals were evaluated against the evaluation criteria published in the solicitation book, and rank-ordered for selection. The Army selection process resulted in the identification of 136 Phase I proposals for negotiation and award. Awards are to be made pending completion of successful negotiations and availability of FY11 funds. The Army intends to make all awards no later than late May 2011. Selected companies were notified by PM, Army SBIR and subsequently contacted by the responsible Lab or Center procurement office to begin contract negotiations. Information on the proposals selected is hyperlinked below.
<this says all submitted in Jan of 2011 woulda been awarded by May 2011, but I am not sure if what Jim submitted would be here or somewhere else.>
BT, can you check if Jim knows it has been posted?
His email reply on 10/6 was "We are waiting for government approval to publish news related to our new contract."
and AK4Long's post 10/7 said it was posted on the army website.
And when I talked to the Army SBIR help #, they said the DOD sbir award website was a lot slower than the direct Army SBIR website. I think the DOD website only updates a few times a year. I read it somewhere on the site but can't remember what it said.
The only other thing that was strange is, this newest SBIR the injector phase II is listed on the army site as Past Phase II, and not recent, so maybe it was approved last April and only the funding was held up until Aug 2011, (again, thank your R politicians).
Anyhow, it is good news that we don't have to wait 6 mos like last time.
Plus, anyone know if SBIR # 3 phase I for the rotary engine fuel system had been won or not? That was submitted in Jan of 2011.
Then there is SBIR # 4 phase I submitted in July of 2011.
Lots in the pipeline!
maybe the army sent him snail mail...
they could have updated the site, then sent a memo to someone to send out an ok letter,... who knows how the army works.
It is good news, maybe BubbleT can give him a call to see if he knows the award is posted on the website?
He has spoken to BT before and knows him.
I am sure Jim would like to hear some good news too.
