7:33AM Viisage Tech awarded contract to aid in criminal identification (VISG) 9.19: Company is awarded a contract to implement a face recognition-based identity solution in Alabama's Jefferson County Sheriff's Office. The initial contract for $400,000 is for implementation of an inmate identification system using face recognition technology at two jails in Birmingham and Bessemer, AL to aid in booking and release processes. VISG's face recognition technology also will be used in jail visitation and in a mobile identification system within patrol car units.
If every prison in the U.S. including county jails went to this system ....well how many prisons are there ? hmmmmmmm
answer: gadzillions
Jerry,
Glad to see you are coming back with gusto. This board needs some balancing and many of us here appreciate your posts.
Moon
Zeev,
I hope your in NVEC this AM cause it's cooking again.
Very mysterious action and I would like to very much know what's the underlying reason.
Zeev,
Do you think there could be more to this NVEC move than short covering brought on by some momentum players after the patent announcement?
TIA
Moon
Wonder is Asensio changed his mind on nvec and caused this short covering bonanza.
Bear,
Looks like Mace and Visg along with other security plays will be very volatile in the near future. I have a nice profit on paper in these stocks but expect some crazyness particularly with the Homeland Security news. There is no doubt these companies will profit from significant security upgrades in the days ahead.

Bear,
Check this out ONEV
Bear in addition to VISG is MACE. Both doing nicely.
Heads up on ONEV
GZFX realistic price targets......
Nflx market cap 1.6 bil at $31.26 / share w/ 2.0 mil
subscribers and aprox 51 mil shares outstanding.
IF Gzfx had the same revenue per sub and the same operating costs:
When we have 2 mil subs-
Market cap 1.6 bil / 520 mil o/s = $3.08 per share
I'm not at all saying that is the limit to the potential here but it reels in some outlandish PPS predictions.
One tenth of that is 200,000 subs. This would put us at
$3.08 / 10 = $.31. We should see .31 not when we have 200k but as soon as there can be a realistic projection that 200,000 is coming. This could happen very soon IMO.
But there are some huge variables to kick around. First, the impact the Gameznflix guy will have is unknown. Nflx
claims to be getting approx 160,000 new subs per month
during thier heavy marketing periods. If we were to see
a number like 30,000 to 40,000 subs the first 30 days,
and sequentialy higher the second 30 days, we could be off to the races. What if we were to get 50 to 75K the first
month? That could project to 475,000 by yr end!
1st mo 30k
2nd mo 40k
3rd mo 50k....this would put us at 330,000 by year end.
330,000 / 2mil = .165 x $3.00 = $.50
The market should lead this by 4-6 mos, so $.50 by Aug is do-able.
I know some will think these sub numbers too high (in
light of JF's stated goal of 100K),and some will think they
are too low.
Remember even if these numbers for subs are correct, it
works only if revenue and cost per sub are same as nflx.
First, we know our rev per sub is lower. But our cost per
sub should be A LOT LOWER!
Here's the real kicker no one has spoken much about. What if this little baby starts to turn a profit in say Q3?
I know for a fact JF intends to IMPROVE the nflx business
model, not just copy it! This means PROFITABILITY, and earlier than anyone thinks.
Let NFLX have their 1 day turn-arounds w/ 26 dist. centrs.
They spent WAY too much to achieve that. The 1 and 2 day
flippers aren't even what NFLX wants. They would go out of business if all their subs did that! Yet they spent a fortune to have that capability! Big mistake!
The genius is the GZFX yearly(14 month) at $15.85 / month.
With a 6 DVD/games combo, the turnaround time can very
easily be pushed out a little with no pain to the sub.

Tramp,
Thank God for men like your son who are willing to defend this country. We need to realize the sacrifice they make. God Bless Him and all our military.
Mach,
I hate to sound like a broken record but it looks like ONEV is gearing up to move again today.
Mach,
Onev Mkt cap.13.7, avg daily vol, 8 mil, today over 41 mil already. I don't know the float.
some talk has it going to the .20- .25 area. I hope so but I probably will hold it long. It has sold as high as $24 so I think it's too early to flip. The difficult thing is determining what this assoc. with msft will do for it. I was happy to see they have started to get some European contracts with the announcement this AM. eom
Mach,
I hope you looked at ONEV cause it's surging this AM.
Moon
ONEV breaking to new HOD. eom
You should also look at ONEV. Moving up this AM again
suncity,
I think you're right on gwdl. I have loaded up on that one and when it moves it should be significant. It's been in a tight range for a long time now. Hopefully those millions of shares traded are being accumulated long.
Thanks Bean and Mach. It's on my radar
Mach,
Help me out . I checked the sswh website and found very little info . Trying to do some DD without success.
Moon
Bean,
Thanks for that info.
Moon
I'd like to know how many millions of shares have neen accumulated of GWDL between .0007-0009. It's been in that trading range for a long time. It should pop soon and I just wonder if it will get into the .01 to .10 range.
Onev had a run to .16 last week on the microsoft news but I'm seeing some large block trades today. Just saw a 2 mil share trade so there is some big interest. I think this stock was once at $24.00.
Besides gwdl which should hopefully move soon you should look at ONEV. very strong this AM
Mach1,
Got this off RB.

Coach Hitchcock of the Philadelphia Flyers met the Dalai Lama at a hotel while travelling with the team. I don't know what was said but by the fierce hitting in the 2nd game I'd say the Dalai expressed his love of hard body checks against the boards. In otherwords smash the hell out of Tampa Bay.
Mach1,
Did you buy any Onev? I'm watching it and it just bounced off .16. I'm hoping for a strong close. BWDIK
Mach1,
I have no idea at this point since it's running beyond my expectations. Someone said yesterday this used to be a $24.00 stock. I'm just riding along but it seems to have legs.
Good Luck.
Mach,
I have some ibzt and an equal amount of onev. Do you have any Onev?
eom
brainlessone,
"after seeing lieberman on cnn, i found him to be a straight shooter and an intelligent guy who got creamed by the media as unelectable. I would have preferred him to kerry as a republican vote stealer, if I were running that party"
I have been so impressed with Lieberman that as a Republican I just sent an email to his office telling him how his thoughtful, intelligent, and logical reasoning comes across so much that I was sorry he didn't get the Democratic nod for President. I could have felt good about him in the oval office had he beaten Bush but I could never ever say that about Kerry. I just have found over a period of time a high degree of respect for Sen. Lieberman and it's a shame the Democratic Party couldn't see he was head and shoulders above all the other candidates.
Brainlessone,
I suggest the Senators quetioning the military also apologize for the prison abuses in Iraq. They are part and parcel of the government and should share responsibility.
Now, since they have singled out these abuses and are shocked by them perhaps they should all go and spend some time in the prisons here in the US or if they want in Iraq.
They should spend 8 hour or in some cases 12 hour shifts alongside of the guards and see just what's it's like in the prison system.
Abuses Ha! Some of these prisoners deserve much more than abuse. They deserve severe punishment in many cases and just sometimes it gets metered out by the guards who have to put up with their crap day in day out.
How many people have spent time with hardened criminals or worse yet terrorists in close quarters for any length of time. Very few and I can tell you by personal experience there are abuses. With this election year going on the Democrats have found a thread to nit pick about with the exception of Senator Lieberman who is perhaps the only Democrat I would ever vote for. He is a tremendous individual and cannot be lumped in with the Kennedys and Kerry's.
JB,
Are you aware of GZFX? They have advertising on the way with the "DEll Dude". It's cheap but very speculative of course.
Check on your friends and neighbors. See which politician they contribute to.

"perhaps he's using up his gold rather quickly. <g>"
Well Osama isn't living the good life dining out and mall shopping so unless you consider cave dwelling a great vacation I'd say hiding in rat holes is what the bastard deserves until we kill him.
aim hier,
Well put !.
I can't understand the Democratic Party anyway. I have been amazed at the candidates they push forward. Is there nobody capable of appealing to the majority of voters. They select a radical like Kerry who flip flops from issue to issue. Whose past should have stayed hidden in a closet and expect the voters to buy that sh!t ?
The problem with Kerry is somehow he managed to become a Senator, war hero???, and mega rich thru his very "different" wife.
And...the Democrats want to run this guy?
On the otherhand they have a guy named Sen. Joe Lieberman who is perhaps one of the only Democrats with intelligence coupled with tremendous common sense which is a rare commodity these days in politics. Joe Lieberman stands out as one of the finest examples of politicians within the Democratic Party. Unfortunately he didn't have the party behind him and at the time all the Democrats wanted to hear was attack Bush. Now as we find out about Kerry he is very disappointing to the majority of voters and the polls are telling us he's a loser.
Hey Softie,
GPRO could be a good short for you. (heh heh)
GPRO started to move again today after short consolidation.
