Looks like a resubmission of their weight loss drug:
"Arena Pharma receives FDA notice of advisory committee meeting for Lorcaserin
Arena Pharmaceuticals and Eisai announced that the U.S. FDA has notified Arena that an Endocrinologic and Metabolic Drugs Advisory Committee meeting to discuss the lorcaserin New Drug Application, or NDA, resubmission will be held in Q2 of 2012. Confirmation and details of the meeting will be published in the Federal Register. Arena resubmitted the lorcaserin NDA in December 2011, and the FDA assigned a new Prescription Drug User Fee Act, or PDUFA, target date of June 27, 2012. :theflyonthewall.com"
I made money in ARNA back in 2010.
These guys had a weight loss drug if I remember correctly. FDA denial in Phase 3 if I remember right. I sold into the decision after buying they hype well before.
All biotechs are rising right now, big time, so not sure if it is anything specific to ARNA, but I have not researched it.
Picked up BIIB a second time today after selling it out for profits on earnings. Thinking around 120 for risk management.

GAZ is parked above the descending diagonal trend line that has been in place for ages. If it can stay above there for a few days, which it is has been unable to do, perhaps the bottom is finally in.

Hello Everyone From CS:
This is TopOfTheCharts operating under my original CS id investment_mgr which was obliterated during the 1best flame war of 2007, LOL!
So I will sign posts as TC.

I used to own GERN and sold into a spike at 6 and change. I always had a problem with management for starters. That was confirmed a few weeks ago I believe as there was a shakeout in that regard if I am not mistaken.
Also, their ip has been trumped and they have patent problems. I believe BTX actually has a backdoor into GERN's ip through one of their acquisitions, not to mention, much better bis strategies and tech of their own.
GERN became complacent, and simply could not get it done, and the field is passing them by.
BTX and ISCO are the ways to go. I don't own ISCO right now, but did, and will again. I have spec shares in ACTC, but nothing substantial.
I also like CUR, but, not at this time, likely to go lower.
IM
Highly doubt it sees 2.
The acquisitions made by BTX are further pieces to the puzzle. West has a vision, and BTX is setting itself up perfectly imo to bring stem cells in mainstream medicine.
I think you are at the perfect buy point here with a W base shaping up on the short term chart and a retest of the handle on a major cup and handle formation.
Move back toward 10 likely. I bought this at .55 and sold at 9.60 as per my posts in another forum. Started back in this week.
Best,

It's all about banking, financial powers, politics, egos, systems, and the broader stupidity of the masses. I agree. Techs like NNVC and others should be the focus of humanity.
Instead, we allow Goldman Sachs, JPM, and other entities to control all the wealth and make allocations to every kind of ridiculous public company.
Our society places a higher value on Facebook, on athletes (many who have trouble putting together a complete, clear, sentence in English) who get into trouble, and on places like sin city then we do on life saving nanotechnology.
Sick is about the most simplistic word that comes to mind.
IM
Bottom seems to be shaping up here.
IM
Awesome, tell others on Yahoo board that you are here also (if u came from over there). I already posted that I came over here.
Looks like a triple bottom forming on the chart. 1.65 seems to be holding with alot of volatility. We saw this type of action on other bottoming patterns before several dollar runs.
Hoping for a parternship announcement of some kind. I think the efficacy issue went right over investors heads. That is big if u ask me.
IM
To Yahoo Message Board:
I am here to discuss RXII if others would like to do so.
Thanks,

Something smells here.
I picked up the stock at 18.70 and concurrently sold covered calls, the Feb. 20's for .50. I remember saying to myself when I bought the shares and sold those calls that the set up was just perfect. I rarely find a technical set up, fundamental set up, and good options premium for out of the money short dated calls as I did with NAK last week.
After all the nonsense and corruption I have seen in my life, I can't help but think there must be alot of good traders that put on this same trade I outlined, and somebody did not like the fact that alot of people were going to profit from making a good, sound trade.
No news, nothing, down 15%? Come on man.

Did u guys see mention of greater then expected Dengue outbreak near India games?

Doc:
I would advise him to set up a blog at the NNVC website that responds to issues that are difficult to understand or may lead to confusion for investors.
Dr. West, the CEO over at BTIM has done this and it has been a wonderful resource to help guide investors through sometimes hard to understand technology and/or other matters that effect the company. Seymour should do the same.

You may actually see phones the size of a badge or smaller like on Star Trek in your lifetime. Virtual laser developed images may be able to eminate from them like in Star Wars when you want video etc.. and also voice activated with no need for typing.

Could the recent attempt by Sanofi to take over Genzyme be some empirical evidence that they know what is happening with nanotech and companies like NNVC?
Should NNVC be successful, that would no doubt change the landscape of the vaccine world. Sanofi is a major vaccine producer and they make enormous amounts of money, enormous. I did some consulting for them and it is mind boggling. They are a very shady operation as well and will do anything to make money, anything (hence why I left).
I think they need to start reinventing themselves.
Thoughts??

I have alot of small and micro caps that are up a little bit today against the overall market.
I am not saying this is happening, but could be the beginning of some stealth accummulation as everyone is fixated on the ominous "Hidenburg Omen" and head and shoulders pattern on the major exchanges.
The small caps could end up leading the markets higher with the index components then following suit at which time some larger cos. would then assert as leaders.
Thoughts?
Also, have u guys ever checkout out the Great Depression Bear Market of '29-'40 vs. the Tech Bubble/9-11/Banking RE Bear Market of '00-Present? At the trough of GD, market was down 82%. At the trough of this current bear mkt it was down about 64%. Interestingly, at this moment in time, plotting the same point on a graph, GD is outperforming this current bear market by several percentage points. Moving forward, the end of 2012 would correspond to roughly the end of GD (when speaking of stocks) with alot of volatility and trading ranges between now and then.
I have always been thinking that the end of 2012 when the end of world is expected would be the start of next Bull Market, and after seeing some work on the topic above, now I really feel that will happen. I would be on the look out right now for companies like NNVC that can revolutionize society (like internet stocks did) as they could be the rocket ships of the next Bull Market which I think is about 24 mos. away. I like stem cells alot as well. ISCO is my main one along with BTIM.
IM
Very important information. ISCO is completely under the radar. Excellent time to enter.

I am getting the feeling of way too much negative sentiment on the stock boards and in the media.
To me, the markets look like they are putting in a strong bottoming formation and have been for months now.
It seems everyone is looking for a "crash".
I say buy what you know right now, and if you have the time horizon, HOLD! Fidelity reports huge uptick in 401k loans and hardship withdrawals. This is EXACTLY what the powers that be want. They have been in an asset confiscation mode since late '00. They already got alot of homes, now they are going to the next best thing, those who still have anything left in their 401k's.
When I read that, another bullish sign that the worst may be behind us.
IM
First off, I am not trading NNVC. I own it and will accummulate for the long term.
Ok, so you are trading this stock, but you make false statements about the technology throughout your posts???
Which means if you are trading it, you are here to presenting incorrect facts about the company to better your trading strategies?
Either way you cut the pie here, there is nothing to gain from your posts. Going on ignore.
So, born yesterday huh? How long have you been trading/investing overall? Don't bother answering.
IM
He answered the question I posed last night about shortened time frames for the herpes treatment. Thanks!
Also, getting back to Pakistan, where there is water there would be mosquitos, correct? So, do disaster areas like this where people lack shelter pose the risk of Dengue? That is where I was headed. Another poster replied to me, but I was already aware how Dengue is transmitted. So, are there areas in Pakistan where the climate is conducive?
If so, that could be another catalyst to expediting Dengue treatments.
IM
That jumped out at me as well.
How anyone interpreted the pr as negative is beyond me.
IM
What about the flooding situation in Pakistan? Are there any concerns about Dengue there?
IM
Also, correct me if I am wrong, but we are dealing with viruses here, not long term disease state like heart disease or cancer. That being said, won't the timelines be vastly reduced to product approvals? Once in trials, you either wipe out the viruses or you don't, it is pretty cut and dry and won't require long term treatments.
Comments on this and what kind of timelines we may see during trials would be appreciated.
IM
I am not saying that we will have products tomorrow, but, in various medical technologies, we are very, very close to societal changing events. Many major investment trends like this begin to assert themselves in major economic downturns and when it feels like there is blood in the streets.
Those of us who were investors in the 90's know this first hand. By the time you would have decided to invest in internet and related tech companies, you would have been too late, missed the life changing returns, and likely got killed going into 2000. The time to be investing was the mid 90's before people were talking about the internet and before most even knew what it was.
When you hear people saying "years and years away", that is a good sign. Usually, it will creep up on them faster then they ever believed. To be able to get exposure to what NNVC may have at 1.00, well, the risk/reward is enormous here. If you start running into everyday people who say "Hey, what about those cides", sell.
I believe we are starting a major bull market in biotech, medical technologies that will likely really take off starting end of 2012 when everyone thinks the world should end. It is likely going to be a sustainable long term trend of a decade or longer. I think anyone buying the right techs now is going to be very wealthy.
IM
It's just how stock prices work. So many factors going on. It is not as simple as the company does something well and the stock goes up.
The bottom line is this. If NNVC keeps moving forward to eventual product releases, and you own at these levels, you will likely be able to sell your investment for much higher prices. If they don't, you will lose money and that is the risk.
Today's news was definitely positive and enhances the chances that NNVC succeeds. I wouldn't beat myself reading into the stock price reaction.

Doc:
First off, great posting on your part, keep up the good work!
I was thinking the same thing you posted. The pr clearly is saying the herpes cide WORKS! We are not talking about just an interesting set of results here, it renders herpes dead! I also interpreted the fact that they are ready to move on to testing it in animals which is a huge step forward.
I believe NNVC has taken the proper steps in the proper amount of time with each of their cides. The fact that this is yet another leading doctor in their respective field proves the company is legitimate.
I had been taking into consideration everyone's posts, but after today's comments, Ovidus goes on ignore. His comments were outlandish today and purposefully misleading.
Thanks,
IM
