I don’t know myself. Since the mine is so spectacular and controversial perhaps they are there to answer questions. It seems to me that the news media is not known for researching facts so perhaps the Corps is trying to help the media out. Dunno though...
The Pebble Project will be the subject of a USACE July media conference call that is tentatively being planned. No date or time has yet been set. If you could participate in the call what questions would you ask? This conference call is only for the media. Please send your questions via the contact form or send an email via admin@Twentydollarsashareorbust.com. All questions submitted will be considered. Answers will be posted ASAP.
This doesn't sound like a delay to me. On the contrary, sounds like a press conference. Just my opinion.
U.S. Army Corp of Engineers Reveal Tentatively Planning July Media Conference Call Regarding Northern Dynasty Mineral’s 100% Owned Pebble Project with Q&A. What Questions do you have?

Thanks for taking the time to clarify what you initially said.:) I agree... the 50, 50, 50% makes no sense. Thanks for being such a good sport, too!
PS but thanks for all your info. Always enjoy it!
Yes it’s true: FACT: NAK owns the entire 100% interest in the Pebble Limited Partnership (PLP). Very easy to confirm by looking up NAK's filings with SEC
LOL What might be a bit harder to confirm is three companies, Each owning 50% in a JV split... just sayin...
Do you have a link for:
1) 50% ownership upon agreeing to build (pay for) all the infrastructure (Buildings , roads , power plant , pipeline , ETC
2) 50% to pay CASH for the other 50%
3) And NAK owning 50%
Thanks
Dittos. Gotta love that site. Tons of information. Thoughtful, brilliant analysis.

Dittos. Bought a few more shares. Thanks for all your insights.
My thoughts as well. There are quite a few vids and presentations by Thiessen and Collier that seem to indicate this strategy. Since those “pebbles” are thought to be much larger, I can’t imagine adding them into the deal. But all conjecture on my part.
A great resource is http://twentydollarsashareorbust.com
Basically it's anyone's guess as to how a partial or full PLP buyout might affect where the shares go? If the shares will be apart of another company?
(I read online where one company bought out another. Later, share holders found their shares gone and in their place, cash from the buyout company.)
I am guessing there are so many options as to what might happen that it's fruitless to speculate.
Even so, any thoughts appreciated.
Thanks so much for the clarification. Very important distinction. Every time I have heard Ronald Thiessen and Tom Collier, they both mention their desire for further "pebbles" to be developed.
Do you know if the shares we are currently holding are linked specifically to PPL or to the broader interests/holdings of NAK?
All guesses are helpful.
Dittos. In TIME "ITS A GO." Wise stewardship.
Yes, you are right. Not all are honest. And it's really not so difficult to discern such people. Thanks for pointing that out, I did not know.
Most people don’t mind differing views at all, if the dialogue on all sides is based in seeking truth, coming to an understanding and finding solutions. Differences are good when we respect one another and try to earnestly understand and believe for win/win solutions.
FWIW: I believe NAK is headed up by such people. Yes it’s about prospering. We live in an economic age. We all understand the benefits of money. But I believe Tom Collier wants more. I believe he truly wants to find win/win solutions for his business, our country and especially local Alaskans—poor, hard working Alaskans.
Let us not be afraid of differing opinions is they are given honestly. Obviously, there are those whose primary focus is elsewhere. For that I have no suggestion except to pray and believe that good will prevail.
Is A New Dollar Backed by Gold at $10,000 Per Ounce Coming by October 1st, 2020?

How nice that FEIS is still some weeks away, then perhaps there will be another 60 days before the ROD is issued. During the next 90 days, many more Memorandum's of Understandings can be achieved with local Alaskans. How wonderful this would be so that when the law suits are presented--the moment the ROD is issued--well, the law suits will be much like a flat balloon... Then, the re-election.
Just a thought about the timing of everything.
Gotta love that site! He always seems to be on the cutting edge. Thanks for the update!
The INL agreement provides the Pebble Partnership with an important alternative ferry landing site and road/utility corridor on the north side of Lake Iliamna, and greater flexibility as the project advances toward a final Record of Decision on the federal Environmental Impact Statement ("EIS") permitting process next year.
Is this what you mean?
Scott... Hat Tip. Thanks, that was kind. Much Appreciated.
Happy Fourth.
Does this have anything to do with the speculation of the price of gold? Several gold ETN’s are being delisted.
Thanks
TooTallJones...Brilliant! Thanks for all your sage and well articulated insights, as well. Always enjoy your posts.
Tom Collier radio link. Obviously, he cannot say 100 percent it’s going to be positive/approved and ....of course he says there is still work to do... But overall positive news.

Wasn’t Bristol Bay initially for the mine? I know one of the tribes that is now against the mine being built was for it in the beginning.
I thought it was Bristol Bay. At any rate, if people changed their mind once it’s not so difficult to do again.
In my opinion
Once the FEIS and ROD are granted, infrastructure can begin. I believe this is the case while further permits, etc. are pursued. Anyone?

Pebble Partnership CEO Tom Collier spoke about the redesigned Pebble Project. "We threw away the old Pebble Project, the one that had gotten so much criticism."
He went on to state, "We designed a project that responded to every one of those criticisms. It was dramatically smaller. We took cyanide out. We did a unique design of the tailings facility to eliminate the kind of risk that was presented by Mount Polley. There's no waste rock facilities on the project. We redesigned the water treatment. The project we took into permitting bore no resemblance to the project that most Alaskans thought we were considering."

Thanks. I am learning so much from you all. I like to encourage but as you are saying, it's meaningless... Sorry about that! LOL!

No one arguing. It's a problem that cannot be ignored so we are discussing, learning and discovering possible options for solutions.
We all want a win/win.
Thanks. I totally agree with everything longs are saying. But realizing the history of our nation (breaking so many promises with the American Tribes throughout history) it is my hope and prayer that Eminent Domain will not be necessary.
Honestly, I don't think it will be. The adult population of the 197 people (42 was the number of people in 2010) want the best for their families. They will make a wonderful deal--and soon.
Yes, I believe so.
Eminent domain is a last resort but will be used, if necessary. Personally, I hope it will not be needed. I'd bet every adult of the 197 people also knows this, as well, especially now with all that is happening. The nation needs the minerals.

There will be a good solution for all. The poorest of the poor are desperate to have jobs to support their families.
FYI: Pedro Bay Corporation...197 shareholders.
Pedro Bay Corporation Opposes the Pebble Mine (For Now)
PBC is the steward, owner and manager of over 92,000 acres of surface lands between the proposed Pebble Mine Deposit and deep water port. PLP proposed a plan for a transportation corridor route through the village of Pedro Bay. Since 2004, PBC had a vested interest in the project and has continuously performed proper due diligence on both the positive and negative impacts the mine and corridor will have on its land holdings and the rights of 197 shareholders.
It is PBC policy that responsible development projects in regards to PBC lands are consistent with shareholder values and are strategic to positively benefiting PBC’s fiscal, environmental, and social objectives. PBC’s Responsible Development Standards include, but are not limited to:
1) provide an economic benefit to our village and shareholders;
2) build quality of life for shareholders, descendants and residents;
3) meet PBC’s environmental and business investment objectives that are sustainable for future generations.
The PBC Board of Directors is sensitive to exploration and development of its lands and has unanimously concluded that the Pebble Limited Partnership does not meet our responsible development standards given the unquantifiable impacts the Mine and Transportation Corridor could have on the resources of Pedro Bay, therefore PBC opposes the Pebble Mine and Transportation Corridor. The PBC Board now directs PBC Management to postpone further action on the prospective mine and corridorand to work with appropriate organizations and agencies to further develop plans that protect the resources of Pedro Bay.
There will be a happy solution for all. IMO.
Yes, a win/win for all. In so manyways, happy to be a part of this company.
I agree. Not true. At all.
However, because of this (major) uncertainty that could definitely cause roadblocks, I suspect that a major JV will not ensue until after the election. Because of this, I believe the share price will basically hold after the ROD comes out--although there will be dips, drops and swings, as always.
Just guessing.
