When Angela Young talks about 1 million gallons of jatropha oil,
Algae oil for fuel sold at over $100 per gallon.
The US Air Force ran biofuel certification tests using a C 17 jet:
I own shares. Here's how the DVJ operations can save itself:
How to make omega 3 DHA and EPA.
You feed flaxseed meal to fish. Flaxseed contains about 25% oil, more than half of which is omega 3 ALA. Tilapia fish convert the ALA into more valuable DHA and EPA.
Until recently, these fish sold for $3 per pound. Now that omega 3 DHA and EPA oils are extracted from the head fat, the fish are now worth $9+ per pound.
BEHL has not grown any astaxanthin to date. Furthermore, if BEHL is ever able to produce astaxanthin, the process and product will require months, and probably years, of testing for FDA approval.
Here is a company with a proven process that took several years to perfect: Fuji Chemical Industry.
DF's break-in accusations are wearing thin as yet another excuse. I suggest the next time he catches somebody breaking in, he call the police immediately.
Answers on Omega 3:
I get a lot of private messages asking how omega 3 oils work. Here is what I know:
The least expensive omega 3 oil is ALA (alpha-linolenic acid). It typically comes from flax oil (55% ALA by weight). Our bodies convert ALA to more valuable DHA and EPA, but only 10% of the ALA that we consume.
Nevertheless, consuming 2 tablespoons of flax oil (linseed oil) daily provides all of the ALA, DHA and EPA needed by the human body. The vast majority of products that tout "fortified with omega 3" contain ALA.
A $25/ 40-pound bag of flaxseed provides all of the ALA, DHA and EPA needed by the human body for a year. A $75 handcranked oilpress can extract this oil in about an hour:
Cargill could use a good laugh. They're pretty serious over there. They are the largest plant oil producer in the world. Some of their facilities extract 50,000 gallons of oil per day. I don't think even DF would expose them to his joke in Santa Ana.
Better yet, call Solazyme, SAIC, Exxon, BP, Cargill, Con-Agra and others that operate over 200 of these presses 24/7 for plant and algae oil extraction.
DF only ever had about 10 pounds of biomass that contained oil, and that should actually be credited to Dennis Shen. The little press extracted all of it in about 10 minutes.
Anyway, DF has moved on to astaxanthin, which he also can't produce.
Here is what I know: My office is on the north side of the facility, while the biocam looks at the PBR from the south side. My view is about identical to that of the biocam. I have seen the leaks, the clean-ups, no harvesting.
My opinion is that the PBR design is fundamentally flawed and unable to grow nutraceutical algae products. Conversely, the PBR is too small to economically grow biofuel or carbon sequestration algae products.
I have done a lot of DD on growing algae, and I think that DF overlooks a lot of things, and just does a lot of things wrong. From what I understand, BEHL was much further along with Dennis Shen and the first PBR.
Whether for nutraceutical or biofuel, the algae must be fed nitrate/phosphate fertilizer. Here is a facility in California that grinds up and composts tree trimmings for fertilizer used in large commercial bioreactors:
Well, I'd be interested to see your proof that anybody has ever hopped that fence (Gopher's animation doesn't count). I work in the same complex as BEHL, and I"ve never heard such an allegation.
Nobody is interested in hopping the fence at BEHL. There is nothing to see. Those tubes pop on their own if you haven't noticed. "Sabotage" is just another excuse in Fisher's arsenal. I am not David, but I know him and work with him. He and Dennis Shen (and Brian Goodall) sell bioreators and other equipment to biodiesel farms all over the world, incuding the Terra Verde energy parks in Texas anD Arizona. Fish guesses wrong on a lot of things.
Fish is wasting precious money if the barbwire is for me. I want to believe that DF can do all that he claims to do. I would help him in any way I could. The PBR, as it's built, is not functional. I'll ride the pump spikes until this company fails or Fish proves me wrong.
.
Well, that's not very polite for a 4M shareholder, nor are your other bogus comments. As I have said before, DF is perfectly capable of failure on his own. I suspect that regarding today's run-up, these cryptic messages indicate that, as usual, DF has nothing. Let me see if I can cash in my profit for the day.
My goal is to make money, not to be liked.
I am in at .0014, but what is this movement based on, hype or something real? If DF managed to produce some astaxanthin in a PBR, it is a notable achievement. Put the camera on it, and I'd like to acknowledge it. Otherwise, thank you again Behlievers.
All the huffin' and the puffin' could not inflate the PPS. Quiet before the storm? It's been quiet for over a year now. I am reminded of a Tom and Jerry where Tom is on a raft, pulls out a handkerchief and starts blowing on it. That only causes forward motion in cartoons.
Reality-hype-reality-hype. I'm getting ready for Monday morning. Thank you pumpers. This will be the second time that I double my investment in 24 hours. Did Helmut Gass eat some biocentric algae this weekend? I hope he's OK. I'd be more impressed if DF ate it.
No pumpty-dumpty today. Fish will need to actually make some astaxanthin before any re-entry can be attempted.
It sounds like DF. Come on over. I have PBR (that works) in the fridge.
DF might succeed despite himself.
Are you one of the aliases (you sure sound like DF) indicating that we ARE riding on the energy drink LOI? In that case, the PBR will need to turn red real soon.
I loaded up today. I thought that was your position. If this thing is actually riding on Monique's LOI, it's crash and burn tomorrow. If it is what I think it is, then there is salvation from deeper pockets that understand what algae is and what it needs (R&D capital). My interests are yours and DF's right now, unless of course you are DF.
Here is how the industry lines up:
Martek/BP
Solazyme/Chevron
Synthetic Genomics/Exxon
Biocentric/???
I am betting that ??? just filled itself in.
PBR is delicious... but terrible hangovers.
I just bought a case of PBR to celebrate!
Well, I shut up and play it too. There's nothing wrong with snake oil.
Thanks Dennis for that little bump... didn't quite get me to .0036.
Why do I need to climb over your fence when I can watch this comedy unfold here live on the biocam? Perhaps BEHL should open its only pickle jar of "algae oil" to discover that it is pumkinseed oil... or snake oil.
"The Algae strains that make DHA and EPA are Aerobic and Autotrophic (means have to be fed with Carbohydrates/Glucose) These algae strains lived originally in the abyssal zone of the sea where there is no light. That is why the fermentation has to be Dark. Therefore, that is the correct method.
This method is kind of expensive, but since DHA and EPA are very high value products, it does not matter."
This came from the world's foremost expert. I have his e-mail and number if you like.
Wow, look at all that oil!
NAA is worthless. BEHL is misguided. That's how I'll say it.
It's like DF has a hammer (leaky as it is), but he doesn't know how to build a house.
NAA is just a big hustle. The last thing that DF needs is NAA hustling him here on this board. I know enough to call it when I see it. I am a shareholder too.
Why is NAA railing against BEHL? Did DF fail to pay protection money? I, for one, believe in BEHL's worthiness over NAA.
It's more likely that they left water in it and forgot to clean it out, just like the PBR which has been contaminated multiple times before our eyes.

Regarding the PBR, isn't it better to repair the wrong than persist in it? From what I understand, it's more bacteria than algae now.
Wow, look at all that oil!
These are clips from articles about Martek. You will note the BP man talking about "sugar-to-diesel" technology. That only happens in a dark tank heterotrophic environment. Contact Carlos Soza at carlossoza@aol.com . He is a chemical engineer and the world's foremost expert on algae oil production. I have his cell number if anybody needs to contact him directly, plus all of his recommendation letters from Martek and others.
Maryland-based Martek posted revenues of $350 million in fiscal year 2008 from the sales of algae-derived nutritional supplements. The company has facilities in Colorado, Kentucky and South Carolina, producing the company’s two patented strains of microalgae that produce oils rich in docosahexaenoic acid (DHA). A similar patented process was developed for a fungus that produces an oil rich in arachidonic acid, ARA. Both DHA, an omega-3 oil, and ARA are important nutrients in infant formulas.
"Martek is pleased to partner with BP's Alternative Energy team, to combine our unique algae-based technologies and intellectual property for the creation of sustainable and affordable technology for microbial biofuel production," said Steve Dubin, Martek CEO. "BP's global leadership and commitment to alternative energy solutions complements Martek's own commitment to responsible and sustainable products and production."
"BP is very pleased to be entering this important partnership with Martek," said Philip New, CEO BP Biofuels. "As an alternative to conventional vegetable oils, we believe sugar-to-diesel technology has the potential to deliver economic, sustainable and scaleable biodiesel supplies. In partnering with Martek, we combine the world's leading know-how in microbial lipid production with our expertise in fuels markets and applications, and our more recent experience in biofuels production and commercialization."
Fish knows that omega-3 oils don't grow in bioreactors. They grow in dark stainless steel tanks in a heterotrophic environment, i.e. Martek and Solazyme. This is the big "secret" that he keeps from investors.
Fish quietly reached out to the biofuel oil brokers last week, but they blew him off because they know that he cannot produce even basic oils of any sort.
Fish is headed completely down the wrong path. When any of the investors try to talk any sense or logic or science, he and his phalanx of supporter are here to protect his delusional thinking.
I am in at .0036. I expect never to see that number again and for the company to fade away on his delusional efforts.
Here is your source of omega-3. These ravenous eaters collect oil from algae that grew in the dark abyssal (heterotrophic) zones of the ocean and moved up the food chain:
USAF offered over $100 per gallon for simple algae oil (non-omega3).
Pennycress oil sold for $73 per gallon:
PBR1 was relatively successful:
I got this via e-mail today. Algae oil is being sold to the Air Force. I am a shareholder, and I'd like DF to make some oil. DF and the press operator won't talk to each other, so I don't think that he'll get any of the existing grant money for the project. However, when I asked if he would buy the oil and resell it, he said he would.
"Please look at this entire video, and listen to the pilot's and Air Force administrator's comments at the end:
