Astaxanthin is what makes shrimp red. Some astaxanthin supplements are produced from this source, and relatively cheaply.



Some comes from algae grown by Cyanotech, Hawaii:



I called Cyanotech to ask if PBR2 could grow it. The contact looked at the biocam and said, "probably not."
