I haven't a clue. All I know is that in some previous cases with other judges they automatically granted the custodianship when no counsel for the defense showed up at the motion meeting. My assumption is that this may be a different situation because I don't think the business ever filed for bankruptcy- Ican't find any bankruptcy filings or news of it on-line. It looks like it was just "abandoned", and I don't know if different rules apply, hence new meeting. The judge did ask the SA attorney to notify SSYO of the motion meeting's time date and location. I'll look again tonight and post

any idea why the judge wants an oral arguement? someone mentioned on an earlier post that the defendant failed to shows up, in the past that's been pretty much 100% granted motion at that point. All I can spectulate is that SSYO never filed for bankruptcy (I can't find anything saying it did) and seems like it just abandoned the business after the liquidation of all their property, but never did anything formal with bankruptcy court or SEC filings. that may be the fly in the ointment- anyone have any other facts or insights?

COURT MINUTES POSTED
- Petitioner filed an Application for Appointment of Custodian. The Court believes an oral argument is appropriate. Therefore, COURT ORDERED, matter CONTINUED to the June 30, 2010, Oral Calendar. Counsel for Shareholder Advocates is to prepare the Order and serve notice of the new date on Defendant. CLERK'S NOTE: A copy of this minute order was placed in the attorney folder of Peter L. Chasey, Esq., (Chasey Honodel, P.C.).

Don't know if this is good or bad, but it's not dead
look at the volumes- looks more like some shareholders lacking stones are jumping
today the motion record for the NV case was ammended to read
"Minutes
05/05/2010 3:00 AM
- COURT ORDERED, matter OFF CALENDAR. Court notes the copy of notice of bankruptcy submitted was not a file stamped copy. CLERK'S NOTE: On 6/7/10 Minutes amended to reflect corrections. tb"
with the Blackburn bankruptcy issue scheduled to be resolved in the Eastern Louisiana Federal Court on 6/16 (provided no disenters to the agreement file this week) wouldn't this allow SA to re-apply to get back on the court's calendar with a stamped copy?

here we go
ok, what's the chances that 7 orders ranging from 1M to 9M shares are bought within a 4 minute period, with <500K volume prior to the buy and nothing afterwards? anyone have any insights?
who buys over 25 million shares in one order? anyone care to speculate for me?
If no one steps up with issues this week, LA Bankruptcy judge rules the Blackburn motion into effect at the 6/16 scheduled court meeting. At that point the trustee can do whatever he want to do with PBLS including allowing SA to become custodian of the shell IMO
somebody wants to keep this at .0002- I waited three days to fill an order and it never came. Upped it to .0003 and filled in 3 minutes. where's the volume going at 2?
are you also going to add what's going on with the Louisiana case or are you just bashing?

I also send kudos to Xylan for all the DD and FACTS about PBLS. But I still don't know why Shareholders Advocates went to the 8th District Court in Las Vegas knowing that PBLS had revoked it's bankruptcy filing in Louisiana- what would be the point? Will the court look unfavorably at SA in the future because they tied up a judge for a month with a case that should have never been submitted? Shouldn't these details been discussed at the 3/29 complaint and application for appointment of custodian hearing and placed off calender at that point? Can SA apply for custodianship even if the entity isn't in bankruptcy?
Finally has Blackburn paid the $10K initial payment? Could he be in default already?

what's the big deal? If I light 6 pieces of Kingford in my fireplace and they burn, I check the thermometer and they're hot, I'm pretty confident that a pile of them will also cook my steak on the grill or should I test out a whole a bag (maybe 2 or 3 just to be sure) first?. Please, all it has to do is burn as well as straw and rice husks
per note #4484, does this mean both Reed and GLGT get off? What does this mean going forward?
I'm already drunk
would someone please ask for more than .018 and start driving up the PPS

does anyone know what the usable dry weight of the grass per wet weight is? The web page says they can generate 156 metic tons (wet weight) per acre with 4 harvests. 156 metric tons equals about 172 US tons or 344,00 pounds per acre- when wet. The $400M market @average $4 per log is a 100M log market. JJ site says each log weighs 5 pounds. so a 20% market share is 20,000,000 logs. Depending on DRY weight 20% market share could require anywhere from 364 acres assuming grass is 20% water/80% usable dry grass to 5,815 if the assumption is reversed (80% water/20% usable dry grass). makes a big difference as to how much land is needed
The Las Vegas Review Journal does a biennial survey of local attorneys rating judges & Supreme Court justices. A total of 796 respondents completed online evaluation ballots and were qualified to be included in the statistical calculations and results published in this biennial survey conducted by the Las Vegas Review-Journal. The survey has been published every other year since 1992 as a public service.
2010 Report has for Judge Jessie Welsh:
Question:
"the judge issues orders, judgements, decrees or opinions without unnecessary delay"
ratings for judge Walsh (PBLS case judge):
more than adequate 26%
adequate 39%
less than adequate 35%
average result for the 25 district judges for "less than adequate" was 16% , median was 15% only one judge had a higher "less than adequate" rating at 36%
not as worried as I was due to the complexity of the case and the historical longer delays of the judge.
speaking of lawyers, if the logs burn hotter and longer, is there any liability concerns that home fireplaces/wood stoves aren't designed or suited for the higher temperatures and possibly burn down houses and law suits and defense costs mount up and take away profits?
I wouldn't worry too much- how does the Tea Baggers song go?....something about redneck adgenda and the idiot nation...
Anyone know anything about this coming Friday's (5/28) CA case status review at the San Diego Superior Court at 9:00 am? All I can dig up is that it's a "ready to go to trial" review and all the defendants (including GLGT) are to be there. Is there a chance that GLGT can get excused by Judge P.?
anyone noticed that while we've all been reminiscening about tractors, worrying about wording on packaging, shipping freight from China to Georgia and who makes the most eco-friendly fire log, since the take-over the PPS has droped 10%?
who's your broker? ordered 65 and got 70K shares- did you only pay for the 65?
