Really huge walls.
Interesting line. Pretty much every biotech on Nasdaq still in development, many trading up to 5 dollars a share, have that exact same line. Standard.
Excellent call SPM555. Good news doesn't hurt, either.
Record Profit!
Ford Motor Co., propelled by new models that are boosting its U.S. share, reported third-quarter net income of $1.69 billion, the highest in the automaker’s 107- year history.
Nice idea.
Yes, they should also make cars, planes, and my Wednesday night fried chicken TV dinners. But that's too much wishful thinking.....great company, but I'd rather them focus on exactly what they do right than stretch themselvs so thin everything becomes mediocre again.

Stock was too good to stay down under resistance much longer. Congrats, folks.
BTW, just tried the card app in NYC on an iPhone. Works great. Now if we could just convince them to make your order ahead of time so it's waiting when you arrive to pay.....
"The countdown to next September"...LOL. I love that one. That one is my absolute favorite.
What sort of news?
Word of large government contracts would be nice....in the meantime the BK news for the sub is holding it down.....
Mainly a defensive move?
re: Teva?
Take a look at the NXXI chart.
It's linked here for those whose OTC data is still a problem.

I know this is sort of off-topic. But have you guys SEEN the new MacBook Air? Start drooling....
NXXI_08 you need to read my post again and make sure you understand what I wrote. I never used the term "growth" regarding "published studies." That's clear.
Here is my exact quote.
"Nutrition 21 had its past problems but it seems those days are behind them (noting the recent doubling of EBITDA and published studies)."
Any thoughts on the lawsuits?
Just noise? Or will we see a bump up by GE to make it go away?
Good points. It seems the market is willing to pay a very hefty premium in the belief earnings will catch up. I really do believe Netflix is essentially in complete control of the industry -- no one can touch them, there is no visible chink in the armor. On top of this, one can easily fathom a time when they stop shipping discs altogether a stream exclusively....trim that massive overhead and Netflix is doing quite well.
What happens when this company goes global?
There's no way any reasonably conservative investor, you mean. Lots of people were making similar arguments when this traded at 8 bucks. One never invests in what has already happened, but rather what seems possible or likely to come.
In the metro cities, where Netflix was early adopted, it has now become commonplace. Everyone has Netflix. No one I know, and I know a heck of a lot of people of all ages and demographics, entertains the home without it, period. This is spreading quickly to smaller cities and the burbs, and will be even more ubiquitous as streaming becomes more available to more people. There is no reasonably competitive service like it. Others have tried and failed.
Basically you're looking at a company like Apple in its first rounds of iPod adoption, when people claimed Apple had saturated as much as it could. Five years later and they're still growing and the stock is still gaining ground despite backwards-looking calculations.
Point taken. But the point of splits is to make shares attractive to retail. So they split them. And then those shares gain value until they split them again. This ain't Berkshire Hathaway...for the most part.
They're buying the close. Wow.
They're buying the close. Wow.
The award is given to "technology-based high-growth companies."
From Deloitte: "The Technology Fast 500™ is an annual ranking of the fastest growing technology, media, telecommunications, life sciences and clean technology companies in North America."
Quite a lot of good companies on the list. Nutrition 21 had its past problems but it seems those days are behind them (noting the recent doubling of EBITDA and published studies).
As nice as this is...
I still think $8 billion market cap is way too small. A split is due :)
I'll take it.
But as a rare earth play this has a lot more room to move. Last few days, esp. today, is only the beginning. Still way undervalued.
Finally seeing this stock's true potential. Nice day, longs!
Nutrition 21 makes the Technology Fast 500!

Nope. Ha ha!
Up and over 14.
Let's see is she holds.
Will be a heck of a feat if 300 holds today.
This company has been in turnaround mode ever since they got rid of the A&P guy. Lebowis the real deal. The depressed price and interest follows the mass exodus of retail traders that started May 6.
Yes, secretive.
But "real movement" ought to include the 400% move over the course of the week in August. Really, from its lows it's tripled. Even today it swung more than 10% in both directions. Like you I'd rather see the 54 cent high soon, or the 2.00 mark semi-soon, but these levels offer a unique opportunity to accumulate.
Thank you.
For some reason I thought it was tucked away in a filing I overlooked, but it's right here plain as day.

"In addition, the Company continues to develop new ingredient combinations as it hones its understanding of the metabolic pathways associated with chromium and other nutrients. A second proprietary weight loss formula is now being tested."
Pharmachem. Yep.
I heard this too.
And you are right, it most certainly has to do with Pharmachem, probably the L-Arabinose/CrP compound. That in addition to the joint sponsorship....good signs. Do you have a handy link to any additional info on the new weightloss formula? I'm certain it's a Chromax formula, but I can't find the exact page...thanks Jackk
Nice. Culley comes through -- I like "this quarter."

Any chance we see .75-.76 today?
Fantastic news!
Why don't they issue a PR over this?

Thank you LASALLE
I found the link to the partial patent you posted earlier regarding chromium picolinate in combination with traditional pharma ingredients. THANK YOU.
PATENT link, anyone?
la_salle?
Nice find. Will you share a link?
The 10-K doesn't use that word.
As you well know, of all people here, shares received by Midsummer was a payment on the Series J, which is what happens to companies when they must pay these obligations but choose instead to preserve cash. The agreement stipulated either payment in cash or payment in shares. Those shares have a fair value, and those shares were payment.
There is no reason to go in circles, you.
