The brainchild of Moosewood partner Wayne King, The Electronic Community Project is a collaboration between the Ford Foundation and the East West Foundation of Boston, managed by Moosewood. The ECP links more than 150 nonprofit organizations throughout West Africa via the Internet.Moosewood has been responsible for overseeing the project since it's inception 3 years ago, from exporting computers to overseeing training, to the development of Cyber Centers in various West African nations and running the "electronic community" right from its base in Rumney."When you live in a country where mail is so unreliable that you must pay a courier to deliver anything," Wayne King said, "this is a giant leap forward in communications.

This familiarity with the Internet as a tool for marketing also led to two of Moosewood's most recent projects: PemiBaker.com (www.PemiBaker.com), and YankeeMade.com (www.YankeeMade.com)."So far," King said, "commercial application of the Internet has been most useful to larger business and those who could afford to pay for the high cost of developing a Website or had the skills to create their own.But the Internet is a powerful marketing tool even for a small local business or artisan."King continued, " the key to using it successfully on a local basis is to make it affordable and useful.

Check out the latest news CAMOX had favorable review for front line military use.
Always good to hear from locals. I am in a similar situation on another board. Do all of the DD you want it is no substitute for feet on the ground. Waiting for more posts will read with interest.
My feelings exactly mop will be used. I have used it and it works just a matter of time.
My vote is in
The bag that I purchased is Mop 301 designed for use on your garage floor may not be the correct product for the job. I know Michelle at Mop has been sending out samples. Don't know if they are free but they are available to anyone who asks.
To the smurf, As I said before I saw a good sized warehouse full of product, Mr Diamond did not go into details about what products he has in inventory. I was not invited to poke around the warehouse at will I am after all a complete stranger who showed up at their door wearing work clothes and driving my rusty old pickup truck. You have all of the information that I have. You want more answers call them and ask.
With the underwelming speed that Mop is being deployed it may well be it's ability to clean contaminated soil will be it's biggest role. The cleanup of soil will go on for perhaps the next decade. MOP already has equipment and technology to clean soil in 20 cubic yard batches and continus operation equipment is on the way. Mr. Diamond showed me samples of soil that had been saturated with oil then cleaned with MOP I could not tell it from soil that had never been contaminated.Based on what I have seen at the MOP facility and my own expermention with my newly purchase bag of MOP the stuff works.Only field use and time will tell how best to deploy the product. As I said in a previous post my gut feeling is that the people at MOP are honest hard working folks that were no more prepared for this disaster than BP was. Big difference is BP may not be completly honest and should have been prepared.
Nothing on tonights program, but I gotta think it will take a couple of days to get all of the right people in the right place for a quality interview.
Allie did you here any more from WCAX? I will be watching their broadcast at 6 PM will post any news.
Be Carefull who you punish. I found the video entertaining, but as the former owner operator of a BP branded C store it worried me. When I owned the store I had a binding contract with BP to sell their product only through the term of the contract. In return BP furnished some equipment, advertizing, technical support, and provided credit card redemtion. The agreement worked well for us. The last thing a struggling mom and pop small business needs is a boycott and horse sh&* dumped all over their property. If you want to boycott the product go ahead but don't deface private property and please continue to purchase your gallon of milk, loaf of bread, and six pack of beverage from your local small business man. Small businesses are the heart and soul of our economy. Just some thoughts from the Gopher I will return to my hole now.
Unreal Great job I sent them an email two weeks ago and nothing. I thought they were not interested. If they do a story it will be a good one they have a first class news program. CBS will likely pick it up. They do a super job on rags to riches type stories.
The last time I was in this stock it went up and down faster than independence day rockets. I don't have time to watch it next week so I just put in a sell at a modest profit and hope for the best. Good luck wish I were in at .80.
Better finish than the glass of hard cider im'a sippin.See you guys next week headin to the cellar for another bottle.
Picked up a few shares yesterday on a whim .86 looked pretty good till it went lower. Better today Thanks
WCAX TV IN Burlington VT covers the upper valley of NH the reporters name for that area is Adam Sullivan. Tuesday thay were in the Bath Haverill area all day with the whole crew. They interviewed local a business owner about the super Wal-Mart, a kid who caught a trout, and a lady who helped get the historic covered bridge restored. NOT A WORD ABOUT MOPN. I contacted them by email 2 weeks ago about MOPN. Their website is WCAX.com if anyone wants to help me drive them nuts. They should do it just to promote mopn for the much needed jobs that would be created.WCAX is a CBS station and some of their stories have made the CBS evening news in the past.
More on talk w/Mr Diamond. Just an after thought, in talking with Michelle I did mention that I own a few shares and watch message boards like this one. Michelle also ownes some shares and seems to have no understanding of the crap that goes on here. She had no idea that some people would post things that may not be true in order to manipulate stock prices. That said anyone who thinks the company is hyping it's own stock to reap returns is more than likley wrong. This could explain in part lack of wire service news. Although I did not talk about this to Mr. Diamond my feeling is he is more scientist than a business man. I feel that part is left to Wayne.
Back from Bath with bag of mop, I purchased a bag of 301 Mop with traction restoring grit to use on my garage floor. The product is very lite and bulky made from cellulose fiber similar to the blown in insulation products. Tried it out works much better than speedy dry. Talked a bit with Michelle the receptionist then Mr. Diamond came in and introduced himself.I have always worked in retail and or service and feel I am a pretty fair judge of charcter. My impression of Michell & Mr. Diamond;honest, intelligent, very environmental minded. Mr. Diamond told me they have four people on the ground in the Gulf coast area. They have been in contact with various Govenors and other importaint people. They have been flooded with emails & phone calls and have sent many samples but so far have not been able to get in front of a camera. Mr. Diamond talked in length about various products and projects that they have in the works, he showed me samples of spill kits, booms and other products. He has the technology and hopes to have the equipment in the near future to clean large quanties of oil contaminated soil in a manner that leaves no hazardus waste to dispose of and actually improves the soil and air quality. He showed me his ware house almost full of product ready to go if and when they get the call. So as I see it they are a company with great potential. If the Gulf oil spill puts their name in front of the public they have many products to sell for other uses that will continue to generate sales after the Gulf spill is just a bad memory. If anyone is comming up I 91 thru VT I recomend that you get off at the Wells River exit and follow 302 east 5 or so miles to Bath NH and pay them a visit. They are very friendly people and easy to talk to. Sorry about the long post and my poor spelling.
sure will you be stopping by my house to pick it up or do you want me to email it to you?
narvO thanks for the name of someone to contact at the mop plant. I emailed her and got a prompt response. I am going to the plant tomorrow afternoon. I do not intend to spend much time being a pain in the arse to them just listen to what they have to say and purchase a bag of mop to try for myself.later
Aclh,2 other pinkies and a small cap saving my butt today, looks like a dead even close for me.
Or the men from their money
Drive to Bath tomorrow. The excitement is underwellming up a penny down a penny no volume. Goin fishing this afternoon. Got to do some handyman work in the morning then take a quick run down to Bath to see if there is any activity at MOPN should get back before the bell to make a trade based on what I see. Parking lot full of cars and trucks buy, dead as a door nail sell. Be back with my news release tomorrow.
Just checked scottrade looks like prs come between 10 & 1
I am now an investor, got into mop on 4/30/10 for a quick flip bought and sold some shares since then. Now my mind set is that of an investor in an up and comming company. Feels kinda weird.
Vol. 0 looks like no one is going to blink
Maybe someone has an adjenda that works out better with a low price.
Charles Diamond Phone # Looked it up in my local phone directory
Charles Diamond with address listed as 7 W. Bath Road, Bath NH same address as mop 603-747-3527 Fax is 603-747-2203. There is nothing that looks like a residence at that location just a big steel building so I am thinking company phone in his name.
Anyone have any news. I was in and out of this stock a couple of times back in Feb. picked up a few bucks (very few). Just shopping around for some bargains and Ehsi came to mind see it is pretty well beaten up last few days. Not able to find much in the way of news good or bad. Thanks
My sediments exactly, I put less money in this stock than a good nite on the town with the wife would cost.I have all of that back + a handsom profit and a bunch of shares. No reason to let MMs steal my shares. Mop is a real company they have a bricks and mortar facility (actually steel), and demand for the product is not going away any time soon. If anyone wants to sell cheap I will have a buy in when I leave for work Monday AM.
many of us have little or no money in this stock and have already taken some profit. No incentive to give my shares away might let a few more go 20+++
Not much volume looks like if they want more shares they need to pay more.
WCAX telivision channel 3 in Bulington VT. covers that part of NH.
They are a CBS station, I sent them an email last week so far nothing. Maybe more pressure would help, but CBS seems more interested in Hati than the gulf oil spill. Our local News Paper is the Caledonia Record they are only +- 20 miles from Bath and they are an AP affiliate, I have also sent them an Email.Web site caledonianrecord.com.
Green companys win big in New England. My part of the world has a history of being good for green and socialy responsible companays. When I was younger Ben & Jerrys had it's IPO. I did not buy as I thought it was a rip off. Then Green Mountain Coffee Roasters came along, I did not buy because I had no money. Now MOP I has come I have some money and some shares. Trust me when mop becomes as well know as the above mentioned companys you will be wishing you were in at 10 times the closing price last night. I for one am in this for years not hours. Not much to loose everything to gain. Don't let the bashers steal your shares.
loose mop whats the big deal? I remember reading a statement from Mr. Diamond last week to the effect that they do not have in stock enough mop to use in that form. He stated something to the effect that the highest and best use of the product on hand is the manufacture of booms. Booms are a value added product, there is a shortage of them, they will generate more income for the company, and share holders. Let Mr. Diamond run his company he has a bigger stake than most of us.
Electric rates are high in New England. To have free hydro power available when production ramps up at mopen will add a good bit of green money to the bottom line of this green company from green power. Obama should love this green job company.
looked like a hydro plant to me, it was Sunday morning early plant was closed, gate locked, only vehicles in yard were two box trailers backed up to loading dock.
Don't sell out to the bashers, many of us are in this for little or no money to sell now would be giving your potentialy huge profit to the crowd that got here late and are trying to steal our shares. I for one researched this stock 10 days ago I have seen their facility from the outside with my own eyes. The main part of the building is several hundred feet long and is modern steel construction. The factory appears to have a hydro electric
generator. Although I visited on the weekend and was never inside the building is large enough to hold a good amount of inventory.Hang in there they are for real!!!!
Pennys die? maybe but I for one am investing money made on pennys in beaten up midcaps.Holdin my free shares of MOP for the big pay off in the weeks to come.
