Yes, the statistical evidence is here overwhelming: vast majority of stocks that do go through RS do badly later. I did check this once when a stock I owned threatened to do RS. It did not happen though. Among all the stocks that did RS I have found maybe a couple that performed well. Why should GPXM be among them ? Not clear at all.
Also, why the rush to list on Amex ? I have never understood that one. Sure if we trade above 3$ then maybe. But risk RS
to trade on an exchange famous for its MM's and their manipulations ? Why ? Toronto, on the other hand, would make much more sense.
I am wondering whether it is too late for GPXM to give up on the arbitration ? What do we have to loose ? Seems that only some 150K that was due to us from the stockpile WEX dragged away. Opinions ?
Interesting, positive action today. High volume. On Friday, after hours, extra 150K were traded at 0.39. I thought that these were late prints but perhaps someone wanted in before todays rise.
opinion,
could you put a spell on it so that it does move through 0.42 and stays over it ;)? I tried but my wand seems to be broken ;)
GPXM,
I did think that perhaps the prospect of dilution is the cause for the selloff but it came a bit delayed and would it really be the case that so many people distrust the management so much that they think they will mismanaged the extra shares ? I am weary of the manipulation explanations as well. So I do not know.
Well... there is too many highly qualified miners in other parts of the world. It would not be so difficult to borrow
miners from Poland: versed in coal, copper mining. I am not kidding.
For those who follow GPXM: what is your take on the action here in the last few days ? Thanks,
wiesia
GPXM: there a ton of stock changing hands in the last few days.
does anyone have an idea what is going on ?
wiesia
GPXM: stock moved nicely recenlt; maybe the news was known to all but us ;) ?
GPXM: for those interested in this stock, there is a really good write up about the current situation on ragingbull. the poster's nick is sichuan7777.

yupp, the mob rates in Poland are exactly like the credit card rates here. that is considered criminal but mog is a mob is a mo, right ?

I absolutely agree. Something really bad is going on in science in US. I am a scientist myself (mathematicican). I was educated in Poland but got my PhD here and stayed. 20 years now. At the moment I am seriously thinking of leaving US, going back to Europe and settling down in Poland and France.
The way I see it, there is no advantage to living in the States anymore. The intellectual level at universities is going down and it will continue so: foreigners stopped coming, the applications to graduate schools from us citizens have dropped by some 40% in the last few years, and those who do apply are not well educated. Our salaries are decreasing; the yearly increases are even below the proclaimed inflation rate not to mention the real inflation. Funds for the universities are being cut left and right and the federal research funds (mainly NSF for me) are decaying at dramatic rate. Just to make ends meet, we are forced to teach larger and larger populations of students who are worse and worse educated. That is not what most of us have dreamt of when we started research.
For me it is becoming clear that I will do much better financially and emotionally if I live on my investments (devoting less time to it than to teaching) and do my research independently. There are instituations in Poland and France that would support researchers without teaching obligations (they do not really exist in US). They pay little but with good investments on the side you will end up being richer and healthier than spending your time teaching.
I know I am not alone in this thinkings. People are living academia. There is so little reward in it. No money,
very low social status, and decreasing research level. Considering that research and teaching are a really hard work, demanding a lot of devotion, this is truely terrible.

I was wondering... are duplexes a good investment in general ? In comparison with other type of properties.
Thanks,

GPXM: I wanted to add to my position on Friday. I was bidding 0.22 for 4 hours or so. 20,000 shares. For an hour the bid ask was 21 by 22. By the end of the day I got just 5K shares.
They did not want to sell me any :(((((, it seems.

Yes, French are like that and it is very irritating.
But how about Americans :
we know the best way to run a country, a business, family, to build a house or an airplane. We know that Aglosaxon literature
is really great and do not understand why you do not agree.
Our products are the best and if you do not agree than ...well, maybe NATO is not for you.
World looks very different from a perspective of a small country. You know you have to play along with the big boys on the block but you also know that they hardly see you as human.
It mattered little for my dog in Poland whether the nukes aimed at him were Russian or American or French (and they were aimed). They all have show equal arrogance and lack of respect for the "small" guy.

Well... I am Polish. Live in US since 1985. But I lived in many other countries before and know Americans, French, Russians, Chinese etc with all their virtues and faults very well.
And... I was offended by the remarks made about French here
on this board. I do not understand how anyone can hate whole nation. French have their faults. But they are not much different from those of Americans: an air of superiority.
Very different air: cultural for French, "I can buy all of you"-type for Americans. Russians and Chinese: you can find the same air of superiority with them (for yet another reasons). But to hate any of them for that ??!! I in fact admire these nations for many of the things they feel so arrogant about: I just wish they would cut out the superiority attitude. But maybe that is nothing more than human nature at work.

Joe,
I am interested in HLSH and traded it in the past. What keeps me from buying now is the question of risk/reward.
Before the collapse the stock was trading at 4$ for a long time. Before that it was 8$ and higher. I think the drop
from 8 to 4 occured because of a suspicion of problems with their earnings report (is that correct ?). How do we evaluate the upside here ??
thanks,
wn
WAVX: does it sound like a significant news for a lont term
or just a blimp and the stock will move back to 1$ in few days ?
thanks,
