Lilly, Merck, And Pfizer Join Forces To Accelerate Research And Improve Treatment Of Lung And Gastric Cancers In Asia
Publicly Available Genomic Database of Profiled Tumor Samples to Provide a Resource for Biomedical Researchers Worldwide
INDIANAPOLIS, WHITEHOUSE STATION, N.J. & NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Eli Lilly and Company, Merck (also known as Merck Sharp & Dohme (MSD) outside the USA and Canada), and Pfizer Inc. today announced the formation of the Asian Cancer Research Group, Inc., (ACRG), an independent, not-for-profit company established to accelerate research and ultimately improve treatment for patients affected with the most commonly-diagnosed cancers in Asia.
The ACRG's formation represents a prime example of a growing trend in pre-competitive collaboration in which large pharmaceutical companies combine their resources and expertise to rapidly increase knowledge of disease and disease processes. The goal of the ACRG is to improve the knowledge of cancers prevalent in Asia and to accelerate drug discovery efforts by freely sharing the resulting data with the scientific community.
"Through its work and the subsequent sharing of information, the ACRG hopes to empower researchers, foster innovation and improve the prognosis and treatment of patients with cancer," said Gary Gilliland, M.D., Ph.D., senior vice president and franchise head, Oncology, Merck Research Laboratories.
Initially, the ACRG will focus on lung and gastric cancers, two of the most common forms of cancer in Asia. As many as 40 percent of patients with lung cancer in Asia demonstrate a mutation that is relatively rare in Western patients (EGFR mutation).1 This mutation has resulted in differences in response to some types of agents, suggesting that a different research approach is needed for developing treatments for certain patient populations.
Gastric cancer has reached near epidemic proportions in some countries in Asia. Despite its relatively low incidence in the West, gastric cancer is the second largest cause of cancer death in the world, killing more than 630,000 patients per year, more people than all cancers combined in the United States.2
"Environmental and genetic factors are believed to underlie the dramatic differences in the molecular subtypes and incidence of cancers in Asia and other parts of the world," said Neil Gibson, Ph.D., chief scientific officer of Pfizer's Oncology Research Unit. "Although some progress has been achieved in the last few years in understanding and treating these cancers, they remain a huge unmet need and a disproportionate health burden to Asian patients."
Over the next two years, Lilly, Merck and Pfizer have committed to create one of the most extensive pharmacogenomic cancer databases known to date. This database will be composed of data from approximately 2,000 tissue samples from patients with lung and gastric cancer that will be made publicly available to researchers and, over time, further populated with clinical data from a longitudinal analysis of patients. Comparison of the contrasting genomic signatures of these cancers could inform new approaches to treatment.
Today's announcement marks the formation of the ACRG. The company is currently focused on establishing collaborative relationships throughout Asia to collect the tissue samples and data. All tissue samples and data will be collected and shared in accordance with good medical practices and local laws.
Lilly has assumed responsibility for ultimately providing the data to the research public through an open-source concept managed by Lilly's Singapore research site. Moreover, Lilly, Merck and Pfizer will each provide technical and intellectual expertise.
"The ACRG is about sharing information for the common good," said Kerry Blanchard, M.D., Ph.D., vice president and leader of drug development in China for Lilly and who represented Lilly in the ACRG's formation. "This company will aid researchers around the world to develop diagnostics, tailor current treatments and develop novel therapies to improve outcomes for affected patients with lung, gastric and perhaps other forms of cancer."

Arrest threat for Nigeria debtors !
People who owe billions of dollars to troubled Nigerian banks have been told they have five days to pay the money, or face arrest.
Anti-corruption police say the debtors, who include Nigeria's wealthiest men, had almost ruined the banking industry.
Five banks were rescued in a $2.6bn (£1.58bn) bailout last week, which saw all five chief executives sacked.
The central bank has published a list of more than 200 customers, including companies and state governments.
System Threat
The country's Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has said it is working with other law enforcement agencies to secure the borders and prevent anyone escaping.
Nigerian police have arrested three of the banks' chief executives plus one other high-ranking official.
The bosses are being questioned over the bad loans taken on by their banks which totalled $7.6bn.
The regulator has argued that weak governance left the banks so undercapitalised that they posed a threat to the banking system in Nigeria.
The five banks concerned are Afribank, Finbank, Intercontinental Bank, Oceanic Bank and Union Bank.
'Sanity'
The published list includes corporations like Transcorp and fuel distributor African Petroleum, as well as the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning and state governments of Delta and Ebonyi.
HAVE YOUR SAY This has become a recurring practise for bank chiefs to use depositors funds for the personal gains, they lend these funds to their friends and family who invest the money in private business
Danny, Glasgow
Send us your comments Femi Babafemi, a spokesman for Nigeria's Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, said the chairman of the commission has met with the chief executives of all of the country's banks.
"We've made a recovery in a particular case of well over 5bn naira ($31.5m)" Mr Babafemi told the BBC.
"At the same time, we also have to work along with other regulatory agencies to ensure that sanity and discipline get rooted in our financial institutions. "
The BBC's Ahmed Idris in Abuja says the list includes some of Nigeria's most well-connected and richest men who have loans "that are looking increasingly toxic".
Billionaire tycoon Aliko Dangote, who was listed at the world's richest African by Forbes magazine last year, has a loan worth $15m with Oceanic Bank, the central bank said.
Mr Dangote was recently unanimously elected president of the Nigeria Stock Exchange.
His companies control trade in many of Nigeria's commodities, including rice, salt and sugar, textiles and vegetable oil.
New governor
"It has become necessary to use this medium to request the following defaulting customers of the affected banks to pay without further delay their indebtedness, failing which the banks will take all appropriate legal actions to ensure repayment," the central bank said in a statement.
Governor Lamido Sanusi last week bailed out and took over the five banks, saying the banks were undercapitalised and posed a risk to the entire banking system.
Mr Sanusi took over as head of the central bank over two months ago, pledging to clean up the banking system that has fuelled growth in Nigeria.
The unprecedented action against the banks has sent the Nigerian currency, the naira, lower but also raised hopes that the Nigerian financial system may finally be reformed.

PetroChina in huge Australia deal !
PetroChina, Asia's largest oil company, has signed a $41bn (£25bn) deal to purchase gas from a field off Australia's north-western coast.
The pact is the largest trade deal in Australian history and was hailed by Prime Minister Kevin Rudd.
"This agreement provides the basis for the creation of thousands of jobs and also injecting billions of dollars into our economy," he said.
The 20-year deal comes despite recent tensions between Australia and China.
'We need China'
Last week, four employees of Anglo-Australian mining giant Rio Tinto were formally arrested in China on suspicion of stealing Chinese trade secrets and taking bribes. Stern Hu, head of Rio's iron ore operation, was later charged with commercial spying.
Rio had pulled out of a deal that would have seen it receive a $19.5bn investment from China's Chinalco.
A diplomatic row has also broken out over a visit to Australia by exiled Uighur activist Rebiya Kadeer, who Beijing accused of inciting the recent riots between ethnic Uighurs and Han Chinese in Xinjiang province.
"China needs us, we need China," Trade Minister Simon Crean said after the PetroChina deal.
The Chinese company has agreed to buy 2.25 million tons per year of liquefied natural gas from the yet-to-be developed Gorgon gas field, from the share owned by US oil and gas giant ExxonMobil.
Mr Rudd said the deal would create up to 6,000 jobs.

DETNOR:
18/08-2009 07:24:33: (DETNOR) Best Quarter Ever
Trondheim, 2009-08-18
Best Quarter Ever
Det norske oljeselskap ASA (DETNOR) ' s Q2 result is the best ever.
Det norske made two commercially viable discoveries, totalling 50
million barrels of oil, at a very low cost. The company maintains a high
level of exploration activity, and there is a considerable possibility
of new discoveries in the Second Half of 2009.
Det norske's CEO Erik Haugane is very pleased with the company's Q2
achievements.
- Exploration is still the most important activity on Det norske's
agenda. In Q2 we have made discoveries of 50 million barrels of oil, at
a very low cost. This is a result of our strategy of focusing on
prospects close to existing infrastructure in the North Sea.
Regarding exploration, we continue to be the most competitive company on
the Norwegian Shelf.
This will mean positive results for the company in the second half of
the year. We will soon start drilling of prospects in the areas by Jotun
and Grevling, where expectations are high.
Several Discoveries
Det norske in Q2 took part in the Grevling discovery in the North Sea.
Total recoverable volumes in Grevling are estimated as between 40 and
130 million boe of gas and condensate. Det norske increased its share
from five to 30 percent in this license before start of drilling. The
discovery amounts to between 12 and 40 million boe of gas and condensate
for Det norske's share. The discovery is commercially viable, and
different developments are under consideration. The company is planning
exploration drilling of new prospects close to Grevling later this year.
The appraisal well at Fulla shows recoverable volumes of between 60 and
105 million boe of gas and condensate. The company's share of 15 percent
equals from nine to 16 million boe of gas and condensate.
Det norske also participated in an encouraging gas discovery in the
Ragnarrock Graben prospect, south of Grane in the North Sea. In Q1, Det
norske also made a minor oil discovery at Eitri, too small to be
considered commercially viable. In the Norwegian Sea, Det norske drilled
a dry well on the Struten prospect. In the First Half of the year, Det
norske took part in drilling of seven wells, three of these as operator.
For 2009, Det norske has prepared a program of nine exploration wells
operated by the company. Only StatoilHydro has a higher level of
activity on the Norwegian Continental Shelf.
A Strong Fundament
Total exploration expenses in Q2 amounted to 410.6 MNOK, contributing to
an operating loss after taxes of 77.1 MNOK. The operating revenues for
the period were 66.8 MNOK. The operating loss amounted to 410.6 MNOK.
Production in Q2 was 162.576 boe, sold at an average price of USD 58.8
per barrel. With the current price of oil, production from all fields is
commercially viable.
Det norske's financial situation is strong. At the end of Q2, liquid
assets are NOK 1.3 billion. The company has an unused exploration
facility of NOK 1.5 billion.
In Q2 there have been no serious incidents concerning health, safety and
environment.
A live webcast of the interim results will also be available via
www.detnor.no. The company will be represented by CEO Erik Haugane, CFO
Finn Øistein Nordam and VP Investor Relations Knut Evensen.

Continental Shelf with 28 operatorship and interests in a total of 51
licenses. Det norske is the operator of the Frøy Field development and
will also operate eight to nine exploration wells in the North Sea and
Norwegian Sea during 2009. Det norske's scope of activities is limited
to the Norwegian Continental Shelf (NCS).

Upgrade in US diplomatic representation in Erbil?
When I return to Washington DC I will begin to work on legislation that will require the United States to join the other countries that have already moved in this direction, to establish a consulate here in Erbil for the Kurdish autonomous area. That, I believe, is something that is important because it will be a message to Baghdad and to everywhere that the United States recognizes that there is a certain sovereignty to this area and the people who live here, and that all decisions that are going to be made in the future that will create stability and prosperity for this Region are not just going to be made in Baghdad

Interview with US Congressman Dana Rohrabacher
Erbil, Kurdistan - Iraq (KRG.org) - Mr Dana Rohrabacher is serving his eleventh term as a Republican member of Congress, representing Southern California’s 46th District. He is a ranking member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee. Prior to his election to Congress, Mr. Rohrabacher served as Special Assistant to President Ronald Reagan and was one of his senior speechwriters.
On his second visit to the Kurdistan Region, and he has come to explore the relationship between the Region and the United States. Congressman Rohrabacher speaks with KRG.org about his visit and the future of this relationship.
KRG.org: Mr. Rohrabacher, can you tell us a little bit about your visit, and your understanding of the relationship between the US and the KRG?
Well I have met with your President, and of course the leader of your Parliament. This has been a very inspiring visit because last time I was here I was a witness to a group of people who were trying very hard to create a political and economic entity that is a viable entity. Well today, there is no doubt that the Kurdish autonomous area is a sovereign entity within Iraq that needs to be recognized and that the people here have very high standards and are moving forward very quickly to develop their resources for the benefit of the people, and are not willing to be held back by the inaction of Baghdad. And so I am very impressed by the leaders as well as the spirit of the people here in Erbil and the Kurdish autonomous area.
There are now four consulates in the Region, and a number of embassy offices. Do you foresee an upgrade in US diplomatic representation in Erbil?
When I return to Washington DC I will begin to work on legislation that will require the United States to join the other countries that have already moved in this direction, to establish a consulate here in Erbil for the Kurdish autonomous area. That, I believe, is something that is important because it will be a message to Baghdad and to everywhere that the United States recognizes that there is a certain sovereignty to this area and the people who live here, and that all decisions that are going to be made in the future that will create stability and prosperity for this Region are not just going to be made in Baghdad. They will also – like in the United States – be made at the state level. This is a sovereign state within Iraq. And so a consulate will be very, very beneficial for the United States, for the Region, and for Iraq as well.
As the United States moves forward with its responsible drawdown of troops in Iraq, what role do you expect the US to play in Iraq generally, and in the Kurdistan Region in particular?
The United States cannot bear the burden of providing the manpower and the military that will be the price of stability for this Region, for Iraq or for the rest of the world. We have spent a trillion dollars here, and there are thousands of young Americans who no longer have legs or arms, or their faces have been blown off. And we have paid a horrible price for the progress that has been made in getting rid of the dictator Saddam Hussein who was a monstrous human being. But we have paid the price and America can no longer bear that burden itself.
We must have partners that we deal with. And the Kurdish people need to view themselves, and we need to view the Kurdish people, as our partners, to create stability and prosperity for this Region. So I see us working with the Kurdish leadership as well as Baghdad and others in the area, especially Turkey, to make sure that we together can be a force for stability, for prosperity, and freedom. And America must remain active in seeking those goals.
Thank you
Addax is an active player in Kurdistan !

PetroChina Inks A$50 Billion Australia LNG Import Deal With Exxon
August 18, 2009: 06:15 AM ET
CANBERRA -(Dow Jones)- PetroChina Co. (PTR), the listed unit of China National Petroleum Corp., Tuesday signed a liquefied natural gas import deal with ExxonMobil Corp. (XOM) worth an estimated A$50 billion over the next 20 years, Australian Energy and Resources Minister Martin Ferguson said.
The LNG supplied to PetroChina will come from Exxon's 25% share of the huge Gorgon gas field offshore of Australia, Ferguson said, bringing the Gorgon project another step closer to fruition.
Exxon will supply 2.25 million metric tons of LNG a year to PetroChina from Gorgon under the long-term deal, Ferguson said.
Worried by a reliance on crude oil imports and pollution from burning coal, China is seeking to raise the share of cleaner-burning natural gas in its energy mix. LNG is natural gas cooled to liquid form so it can be transported by ship.
The binding agreement with Exxon is the third struck by PetroChina for LNG imports from Australia since September 2007 and marks Australia's biggest trade deal ever, according to Ferguson.
"This unprecedented export deal confirms Australia's importance as a global energy superpower supplying vital clean energy resources and technologies to China and our other Asia-Pacific trading partners," Ferguson said.
"PetroChina is an increasingly important partner in the Australian LNG industry, and I hope the relationship will be long and successful," he said.
The deal comes at a time of frenetic activity in China's state energy and mining companies' pursuit of greater access to Australian resources.
The Gorgon field, which has potential reserves of more than 40 trillion cubic feet of gas, is located off the coast of Western Australia and is being developed by Exxon, Chevron Corp. (CVX) and Royal Dutch Shell PLC (RDSB).
Shell and Exxon each have a 25% stake in the Gorgon project, while Chevron has a 50% stake and will act as operator.
Exxon already this month signed a 20-year agreement to sell 1.5 million tons a year of LNG from Gorgon to Petronet LNG Ltd. (532522.BY), India's largest LNG importer.
Australia's government moved a step closer to approving the multibillion- dollar Gorgon project Monday, agreeing with the Western Australia state government to assume joint responsibility for any future claims arising from plans to capture and store the venture's greenhouse gas emissions deep underground.
Prime Minister Kevin Rudd told lawmakers that with the regulatory approvals process now nearing completion, he expects the Gorgon partners to be in a position to make a final investment decision "shortly."
If it goes ahead, the A$50 billion Gorgon scheme would be the largest-ever resources project in Australia, Rudd said, dwarfing the A$12 billion Pluto LNG project being developed by Woodside Petroleum Ltd. (WPL.AU).
PetroChina secured a slice of Gorgon gas in November via a sale-and-purchase agreement with Shell. It agreed to buy 2 million tons of LNG annually from Shell over 20 years.
In addition to its deal with Shell, PetroChina has a deal with Woodside for up to 3 million tons of LNG a year from the Browse project, off the Kimberley coast of Western Australia. The first gas from Browse is expected between 2013 and 2015.
PetroChina is building or planning LNG terminals at Dalian in Liaoning province, Rudong in Jiangsu province, Tangshan in Hebei province, and Shenzhen in Guangdong.
In addition to its Australian LNG supply deals, PetroChina signed a 25-year binding sale-and-purchase agreement with Qatargas Operating Co. and Shell for 3 million tons of LNG from the Qatargas 4 project in Qatar in April last year.

PGS Presents Dual-Sensor Streamer Advantages to Angola
On March 25, Berit Osnes, Vice President Geophysics, PGS Marine will present advantages and experiences of dual streamer marine seismic acquisition to the Society of Petroleum Engineers, Angola Section.
Berit Osnes
VP Geophysics,
PGS Marine
The quest for the remaining oil and gas fields is getting harder. Reservoirs are deeper, covered with complex overburden and within increasingly complex traps. To meet these challenges, seismic exploration needs extended bandwidth: more low frequencies for deeper penetration (for instance subsalt) and more high frequencies for increased resolution.
Unfortunately, the bandwidth in marine seismic is constrained by ghosting. The frequency content of the recorded data therefore depends on sensor depth. A shallow streamer is favorable to high frequencies and detrimental to low frequencies. Conversely, a deeper streamer favors low frequencies at the expense of high frequencies. Marine seismic acquisition therefore involves a trade-off between high and low frequencies, which inherently limits data bandwidth.
Increased Data Bandwidth, Improved Penetration & Higher Resolution
A dual-sensor streamer, with both pressure and velocity sensors, can resolve this conundrum. The two sensors are combined to split up- and down-going waves, thereby eliminating the effects of ghosting and restoring the full data bandwidth. This in turn benefits both penetration and resolution of seismic reflections, providing a clearer image of the subsurface especially in challenging environments.
The technology has been applied in the North Sea, the Gulf of Mexico, Australia North West Shelf and the Mediterranean. For all these cases, legacy seismic data lacked resolution and/or penetration. The dual-sensor streamer provided an efficient and effective solution, which will be illustrated through abundant data examples in this presentation.

Ah, Forgot, WHY not START with the SEC, DTCC, FDA, U.S. Congress etc. LOL
Get your OWN HOURSE IN ORDER, prior TO LECTURING OTHER NATIONS HOW TO BEHAVE.
The Corruption, so far Divuled in USA, is Signifently Higher, with or without, a Proporsonal Scale........
Read DeepCapture.com with Madoff, Mike Milken the Fellon; who's still on the loose, and with regards to ERHE, look no further than Mr. Soros, who tried to Torpedo A Bilateral Agreement between Two Sovreign States, a Contract that's been Scrutinized by the UN and the World Court, top it off with Soros and XOM engagin the DOJ in USA ??????? What the Foek is that ??
IT IS CALLED ***CORRUPTION*** AT THE HIGHEST LEVELS.
So don't give me any Shite abt. Africa being worse, and worse than whom ? US Companies, withdrawing in light of New Legislation, that the Muliti-International Cos. could no longer BRIBE from abroad.
Why do you think Halliburton (isn't that ex CEO Chaney ? ); trasnferred their Head Office to Dubai.

Agree, and what a JOKE this is, Diplomatically Speaking LOL
We'd also like them to address issues of corruption and transparency. When there is an absence of transparency and when there is a great deal of corruption, it makes the business environment extremely difficult. I think it was a point that the President made in his speech to the parliament in Accra, Ghana.
If in fact you have democratic governance, respect rule of law, it is easier to draw in investment and business opportunities because people are certain and assured that they will be treated fairly. These are all issues - the range of issues were there.
The Secretary is going because we have interest in working with Angola and Nigeria in strengthening our relationship with two major countries, oil-producing countries on the continent, working with them on issues in the global environment and the community that are important to them as well as us. Our presence there has nothing to do with anyone else's operations on the continent.
The mention of our colleagues from Asia is a Cold War paradigm, not a reflection of where we are today.
QUESTION: The Chinese are not putting as much pressure on those countries in terms of governance.
They are not being - not lecturing the Africans as much as, say, - or that's the view of some people - as the U.S. is. So -
AMBASSADOR CARSON: I hope the United States is not lecturing anyone, but in effect, having diplomatic discussions and dialogues, respectful and those that are mutually beneficial and important for the United States and the countries that we deal with. I think it's important to respect African governments and leaders, to work with them to resolve problems and challenges that they have, and to engage and be able to engage on these issues. We have and should encourage countries, wherever they are, to do the same thing.
If countries are not paying attention to human rights issues of child soldiers, bad governance, mismanagement, we need to talk to those governments about encouraging them to do the right thing, which is not only right for them, but also the countries that they deal with.
Great info Opus X - So the U.S. Screwed up in the JDZ, wonder if will hv a nice little bidding war, when oil is found in the JDZ, and we start with EEZ, accross the waters of oil ritch Angola.

Take a bite at MITI's BITE (Bi-specific T-cell Engager) - more iv board cross-pollination
Looking to diversify into the next big thing in immunotherapies, MITI might be of interest to you. The post below has a link to a nice writeup at WSJ. Since I mentioned MITI a while ago, the stock still has not moved in leaps and bounds - yet. A few news oncology conference and partnersing mile-stones are expected, and the company has just issued stock at $5 per share, so it's flush with cash and the stock price actually gained on news of secondary. If the global market cooperates,MITI will go higher, I hope.
Now what interests me most is its technology platform that chops away the constant domain (the Y handle) of antibodies that have been commercialized (eg Erbitux), and then combine the remaining variable domain (the Y branches) which does the tumor antigen/receptor recognition to a T-cell engager which adhere to all kinds of T cells (not just the T cytotoxic cells) and trigger them to release toxins at the tumor cells.
The EGFR bite antibody is one such gem I am following. Although it has not moved into invivo pre-clinical testing, the in-vitro test is very encouraging. The beauty is it's able to kill tumor cells with K-ras mutation, a mutation that's harbored by many tumor types, and renders current EGFR antibodies (such as Eli Lilly's Erbitux, and Amgen's Vectibix) useless. If it can successfully move through pre-clinical testing, then the sky is the limit.
For you die-hard cancer vaccine investors, while keeping an eye on DNDN and ONTY, this may be a keeper if you have time and money to spare. Good luck!

My English Translation of the article, in RED !
The 9th of Sep. 2++7 something peculiar event took place. Broker Giants can have tested a sort of time-machine.
HFT (High Requenzy Trading) didn’t manage the attention of a hole world. Just 2 weeks, after NY Times divulged the TuroTrades to the world, the CEO of the SEC IN USA, Mary L. Schairo, according to the NY Times, to see if they could eliminate the turbotrades. There are stong indications it will be stopped.
We wisth to know if people use the technology for iligal purposes, like play the market, well knowing in advance orders placed and tale unproper use of it.

Supposedly the HFT-Trades hv been rissen the volume on Wall Str., with unphantomaly 164 % since 2005. Totally the market skimmers have pockedted some NOK 170 BILLION, according to market operators on Oslo Børse.
Turbo-trades shot forward in 2007. The Brokers on Wall Str. invested vast amounts for EXTREEME HYBRID BANDWIDTH, and coupled with Super Computers and Software (algoritms). One day in 2007 something very Exeptional and Abnormal activity took place.
TEST ON THE OSLO EXCHANGE ?
The 9th of September 2007 was a vierd day on the Oslo Exchange. Totally 110.803 trades took place at a value of NOK 19,1 BILLIONS WORTH, which was, at the time 60 % Above ALL TIME HIGH, and more than double the normal.
The 3 largest participant on that day was Morgan Stanley, Glitni and Deutsche Bank.
Test i Oslo?
What’s happening is not easy to get a grip on, but the statistics it is evident that these were Auto Trades (MACHINE TRADES), a Lot of trades at very many small lots.
What did happen ??
Was it a test of a new algoritme, run by a Giant Financial entity, co-ordinated through multiple accounts and brokers ? In other words testing a New version of Turbo Trade. ?
Did a Broking house test it’s latest version of a NEW Software for trades on the Nasdaq, that had to be tested in a small, and Well Controlled market place, like the Oslo Børse ??
It’s a theorty I will definitely NOT rule out, SAYS A person Close to the Surveillance of the Oslo Børs.
Generallly the period was dominated by high activety. We see that the activity, days prior and after, as well as other days of this month was exceptionally high. The day in question Oslo Børse gained 3.3 %, an abnormal indrease, says Guro Stiene at Oslo Børse.
That the trades increased over several days kan indicate that the Test was made over several day, which wud hv been normal. However, the relationship betwwn Nos of Trades and The Value was abt. the same as other trading days.
What else took place that day, was that Orkla gave surprisingly good results, which gave that stock a lift. As far as we can see, Morgan Stanley was NOT particularly high on Orkla, and was not the largest broking house in the Largest shares on Oslo Exchange either, Steine says.
Statistics from Oslo Børs shows that other broker institutions also were Large that particular that day, butt he Broker outfit, Morgan Stanley, represented an exceptional High Volume that day !
