Appears to have some stake in enhancing QMC brand identity. Nice mention of QMC as “technology leader “in this interview and it hyperlinks to home page as well. Off topic, but I thought the 3 yrs was worth it as the shirt was the perfect complement to that jacket. Long QTMM!!!!
Hello DDHAWK, I too feel the Nanoaxis innovations have tremendous potential and while I cannot unequivocally confirm that Nanoaxis recent patent applications products contain QMC QD’s, it does appear in analyzing the available and relevant facts that it is highly likely that these products are utilizing QMC TQD’s.
Nanoaxis is keenly aware of the many benefits TQD’s offer.
“non-spherical quantum dots, particularly tetrapod shapes or multi-leg quantum dots offer superior properties to those of spherical quantum dots in relation to diagnostic assay kits.(1)
Nanoaxis is definitely utilizing TQD’s in these inventions
“the tetrapod quantum dot invention includes a non-spherical composition that comprises the reaction product of a source of a Group 12,13,14, or 15 metal”(1)
Nanoaxis and QMC are collaborating with QMC TQD’s at the forefront
"The immediate aim of the alliance is to develop Tetrapod Quantum Dot based Cancer diagnostic kits and theranostic applications including Alzheimer’s, Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes, Breast Cancer and Major Depression… All diagnostic and pharmaceutical products will include QMC quantum dots functionalized by NanoAxis biomedical IP nanotechnology. “(2)
Nanoaxis appears content with QMC as supplier
“NanoAxis shall grant to Quantum Materials an exclusive right as the sole supplier for all NanoAxis diagnostic antibody applications. As such NanoAxis shall not execute any agreement with a supplier of QD for use in the NanoAxis diagnostic antibody applications without the consent of Quantum Materials.” (3)
As far as timing goes, I can only hope something containing QMC TQD’s is marketed NEARTERM as 2014 will bring my 5 yr anniversary (6-8-2009) as a HGUE, and QTMM shareholder. Seems like it should be positive in terms of product development that this non-provisional application is a continuation of a provisional application filed on June 9, 2011.
“We anticipate we can achieve production and initiate sales in 2012 and based on our limited test marketing, we believe this product has the potential to be well received by the nanobio markets. However, no assurances can be given the aforementioned plans will occur or lead to profitable operations”(3)

Small oversight on his part but more importantly it looks like the Ken Werner article is already drawing at least some interest from prominent display industry personnel.
“Can these quantum dots be printed instead of the color filters on an LCD ? I won’t have to explain to you what this would mean for the efficiency if you’re not throwing away 2/3 of the light. Then use only blue LEDs in the backlight.
Professor Mark Fairchild (RIT Munsell Lab) has done an investigation into observer metamerism and the consequences of narrow-bandwidth light sources. The variability in human color matching is now well characterized, and you would be surprised at how large it can be. Beware of wide color gamut displays… Maybe you could interview him?”

No shortages of potential Innovations from Nokia’s R&D team!!! Here’s a few that are coupled with markets expecting enormous growth.
“Portable Medical Devices Market to Reach $20 Billion by 2018”
“Portable medical devices market is growing at a phenomenal rate with a double digit CAGR from 2013 to 2018, the reasons being high growth of digital wireless and mobile communications, increased patient mobility and rise in healthcare standards due to integration of wireless technologies”
1.SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR USAGE OF PERSONAL MEDICAL RECORDS IN MOBILE DEVICES
“The document can then be transmitted from the mobile device to an appropriate servicing entity, such as a public safety answering point (PSAP) when an emergency call is made, allowing the PSAP to receive pertinent information about an emergency caller.”
2.Emergency response system
“…in which said emergency device sends a signal to said mobile telephone in response to the activation of said wireless sending unit; and said mobile telephone calls said emergency number in response to said signal.”
3.Method for monitoring the health of a patient
“In order to improve the contact between the patient and the person treating him, the results of the measurements are supplied via a communications device (1) utilizing a wireless data transmission link to a data processing system (9) available to the person monitoring the patient's health, and the patient's health is monitored by means of the data stored in the data processing system”
4.MEDICAL SENSOR
“The invention provides a medical monitoring device connected to a server (typically cloud based) via a mobile network with a mobile phone acting as a gateway.”
5.Apparatus for Detecting Body Condition
“It is therefore the object of the invention to obtain synergy in the receiver device when detecting body condition for meeting the space and simplicity trend of the hand-held portable devices.”
6.METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR DETERMINING POTENTIAL MOVEMENT DISORDER USING SENSOR DATA
“…facilitates a processing of the movement information to cause, at least in part, a determination of one or more potential movement disorders associated with the user.”
“Mobile geo-location advertising will be a big number in 2015”
“The ability to identify a user’s location and deliver relevant and contextualized ads in proximity with their surroundings in real-time whether using search, display, or messaging delivers a game-changing feature to the world of advertising.”
1.Method and system for providing location targeted advertisements
“A position of a first mobile device is obtained and if the position of the first mobile device is located in the advertisement area, the advertisement is provided to the first mobile device.”
2.Providing sponsorship information alongside traffic messages
“One method is to include advertisements, the names of the sponsors for the advertisements, information regarding the sponsors (e.g., locations, hours of operation, press releases), and other sponsorship information alongside the traffic information.”
3.Method and system for providing reminders about points of interests while traveling
“A navigation system includes a feature that allows a user to specify a type of point of interest (or business chain) and then receive a reminder when the user is in proximity to a location of the point of interest of the specified type (or business chain) while traveling in a geographic region.”
4.Geographic database organization that facilitates location-based advertising
“As a user of a mobile computing platform travels in the geographic region, the location of the mobile computing platform is determined. The user of the mobile computing platform is provided with the advertising message associated with the advertising zone in which the mobile computing platform is determined to be located.”

Thanks for the kind words and open invitation DDhawk, currently I have your IHUB SSO board in my favorites and visit frequently to peruse the current topics and discussions. Not surprised about the website error as I was definitely thinking it was unprepared for official release, I am just glad we got a fortuitous glance of what I would consider a major upgrade (measured progress)!! Thanks again for all the informative and objective DD you present here as I find it most rewarding and if I happen upon an endearing morsel it will be shared likewise. Good Luck!!!!
Looks like some early work being done on the web design. First I’ve seen of these openings. Should be a positive.

Continuous Flow Synthesis Method for Fluorescent Quantum Dots May 31, 2013
“An innovative production process allows production even of larger amounts of nanoparticles at a much lower cost than before. Another advantage over previous production processes is the very good reproducibility of particle properties.”

Quantum Materials Corp Achieves Milestone in High Volume Production of Quantum Dots June 23, 2011
“Our goal from the onset has been to achieve a production rate of 100kg per day with a 95% or greater yield,” according to Stephen Squires, Founder and CEO of Quantum Materials Corporation. He added that with this breakthrough QMC has coupled two disruptive technologies resulting in the potential to now achieve that goal.”
Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, however; QTMM’s early mover advantage does not necessarily provide inevitable victory. Competition is unavoidable and currently it would appear capable combatants are positioning. Currently QD shopping carts are available via NN-Labs (Ocean NanoTech),
, Nanoco Technologies (Sigma-Aldrich), and CAN GmbH (Strem Chemicals). While QTMM (via Rice agreement) certainly appears well positioned in QD manufacturing processes, I am concerned about its current competitive positions related to marketing, distribution, and supporting of QD’s. Interesting patent application from team CAN !
REACTOR FOR THE MANUFACTURE OF NANOPARTICLES
Abstract
An apparatus (10) and a method (200) for the manufacture of nanoparticles. The apparatus and the method allows for the nucleation and growth of nanoparticles at independent temperatures. The independent temperatures allow for the growth of nanoparticles in a controlled environment avoiding spontaneous nucleation and allowing particle sizes to be controlled and facilitating the manufacture of particles of a substantially uniform size. Furthermore the apparatus (10) allows for the manufacture of core-shell nanoparticles and core-shell-shell nanoparticles.
