The Houston 50?
First of all Chinese products are absolute garbage, most Americans would pick quality over that garbage if the price was closer. Almost everything they make is stolen IP or from a non chinese company.
They are missing the point of the tariffs. They are being used to make China buy more of US goods which helps our econmy or make the cost of their products high enough where alot of the manufacturing jobs come back to the US.
Gamco
I also sent the board a email.
I thought the corporate tax cut would take up in the 90's. I know we are reporting earnings differently are they cancelling each other out? Thanks in advance
I grew up in Newtown square and have been in IDCC since 2000. Thanks to all the great info from everyone and have a great holidaze.
Better hurry or it could be theNJ 60. How about the Berwyn Tavern 60?
I dont think they approve a 3B buyout. They own lots of stock to
What about the poison pill that IDCC has in place? Its been awhile since anyone spoke about it.
Interdigital is like quick sand (without the quick). Not sure if all of the patent thieves are going under or me.
So Asus comes out and admits that we have essential patents LoL
Washington DC should have very little to no snow for tomorrow. The show will go on
Only 1 hour away, but very busy with work and coaching. Wish I could make it.
F it, I am buying more on Monday.
I will calling Bill Seymour, nokia investors relations 914-368-0535 to let him know that i will be boycotting all nokia products. i suggest everyone else do the same.
That is word for word what BK said at the ASM.
jjff, i personally have never heard the company state this, but i have seen it mentioned here and RB over the years. i'll defer to someone more knowledgeable on the subject.
jjff, our patents for the standard TSCDMA are mostly TDD patents(per Brian Kiernan), the TSCDMA standard is being adopted by the Chinese and IDCC is concerned about the difficultly collecting royalties from China. hopes this helps in what you are asking.
I attended the ASM, I heard WM say the patents for Panasonic passed in Japan, i was not satisfied that i heard him correctly. i went to speak with him after the ASM, but he was busy. my3sons was able to confirm with him (WM) what he also heard during the ASM.
Another thing that was talked about the ASM, is the company has a M & A team that is actively looking at buying more patents and or companies.(my comment looking to spend some of the nokia money). the 8 million spent on patents was for advanced wireless technology, WM said they saw value, and wanted to get to this space before the competitors did. Harry seemed alot more relaxed at this ASM, he allowed alot more questions over a hour worth, no real formal presentation like previous years. Harry and WM, made it real clear they are very flexible in negoiations, some companies are very easy to work with and others will not talk to them. they made it very clear that ligation is the last step with any company. WM talked several times about essential patents in 3g, and sitting on the standard bodies helps alot with companies understanding their patent strenght. WM not the best speaker, but not bad but seems like a good fit with the company, he a likeable person and seems like he would be a good negotiator, he even agreed with corp buyer once lol. All in all a very good meeting. PS WM said they are in talks with numerous companies for 3g contracts.
I just received my IDCC annual report/proxy by e-mail, so it looks like they are on the way. interesting that they have HG up for election to the board for 2006. I guess they didn't have time to change it.
What are our chances of getting Nokia to sign the same deal as NEC(if we win the arbitration), with some reduced % for volume. we gave up $350 mil to nec to get the recurring revenue, I for one would be very happy to give up the past 2g money to get the 2g/3g recurring revenue. does anyone think we have a shot at this?
OT, MY3, its about 6 or 7 miles from Kop TO Berwyn. Data is right about the food it's worth the trip. i can't make the ASM this year(my son has a golf tournament), so you need to keep up the your outstanding job of investigating our investment. i am interested in how Harry will look this year, i think he aged alot between 2002 and 2003.
my3sons, 10-4, you might want to check the weather down this way. calling for a wintry mix tonite thru noon tomorrow.
OT: Hey my3, i live about 45min to a hour south of Wilmington del. do you know the area? if you need some help give me a call on my cell 443-417-5092.
Ronnie, great questions, the problem is there was only about 10 questions asked at each of the last 2 ASM'S. HC cut it short at both. i was able to find out what i needed after last years by talking to HC,HG, and Dr. B. i will be willing to try get i or 2 of questions cleared up after the ASM if needed.
i'll take a stab at 38.05. hope i'm low. if i'm not i'll pick my case of yuengling at the ASM!
Hey Once, you never replied to haeitra's post #6207, that must mean you don't have any supporting evidence. just like every post you make. you are a funny man. you keep me laughing all day with the B.S. you post.
OT Data, st patty's day in N'Awlins, oh yeah! try the crawfish ettouffe at K-PAUL'S it's awesome.
I spoke with HC after last years ASM, and asked him to elaborate on the previous nights press release. he basically said what was in the press release, that the rulings did not effect what they where seeking. he would not comment further.
