International Battery Metals (IBAT; RHHNF)
While most lithium stocks are in production/upstream activities, International Battery Metals (IBAT) is a tech stock with a bold new approach to lithium output, one that could potentially change how this mineral is produced and marketed.
Lithium carbonate equivalent is most often extracted from brine sources and spodumene mines. Once potent sources are found, solar evaporation is used to extract lithium from the brine and spodumene. That's how it's done in Chile and Argentina, two of the biggest lithium suppliers. Normally, solar evaporation takes months to extract lithium from salt brine, but IBAT has signed an LOI to acquire technology from North American Lithium (NAL) which has developed improved technology that can do process the brine in a matter of hours.
The proprietary method isolates lithium ions in the brine salt solution, removing lithium chloride while leaving the remaining salts behind. It's a process that's faster and much more environmentally friendly: no salt piles are left for farming, and no toxic ponds of brine are left to pool after extraction.
If proven on a commercial scale, it's the equivalent of fracking for lithium: an improved method that could radically speed-up production times. Right now, it can take 4 years for a lithium brine mine to come on-line, and other 3-4 years before the full capacity is reached. IBAT's technology could turn a mine productive and fully profitable in a fraction of the time.
Along with a quickened schedule, IBAT's to-be-acquired technology should cut down on production costs. The company plans on using a highly-mobile extraction unit that can operate fully remotely; it doesn't need teams of technicians and miners to monitor it, and the quick extraction times means no more 18-24 month-long tours.
Even without the massive capex of the big three lithium miners (Albermarle, Sociedad Quimica y Miner de Chile, and FMC), if everything works according to plan, IBAT could operate on a cost-per-ton equivalent. Once commercial production is proven using the improved technology and operations begin, the company could become profitable almost immediately.
Led by lithium pioneer John Burba, considered a genius in inventive lithium-extraction technology, IBAT entered the lithium field only this year. Already, it has evaluated three North American brine areas and secured one for potential lithium extraction. Plans for a pilot extraction facility for early 2018 are in motion, with possible new licenses on the table for March 2018.
IBAT has already signed an option agreement for a 37,500 acre play in the Woodbury Carper Lithium Resource Project in Illinois. If the soon to be acquired technology proves successful, it could auger a new North American lithium rush, as other miners try to get in on the action.
Suffice it to say, IBAT is an exciting company with some big, bold plans for the future. Its technology, if proved successful on a commercial scale could change lithium operations worldwide, paying off for any investor who believes that IBAT's technology will win out.

Ferrari keeping it 100 with its investors... nice,
Watched from the sidelines on IBM... Thanks for sharing your thoughts on it yesterday. Also, thanks for the CTRL heads up a while ago. Made some $ on it but sold free contracts a little to early @ $2.33. Profit is profit though. Now, what are your thoughts on WIX? I hold 100 shares in my ROTH IRA @ $75 since 4/12/17 as a core position and I have flipped other 100 share lots all for profits during the pps swings from $67.50 to $86. I originally heard of the company from you and made $ on options trades before they got pricey. Any thoughts on WIX would help and Thank you for sharing your knowledge. That goes to everyone here that share and post daily. It helps the new guys learn and prosper.
JB. What are your thoughts on IBM reporting after hours today?
Goldman ups Nvidia price target to $171 on higher Nintendo Switch forecast
Goldman Sachs analyst Toshiya Hari raised his revenue and EPS estimates for Nvidia (NVDA) to account for higher forecasts for Nintendo's (NTDOY) new Switch gaming console and higher Automotive gross margin assumptions. Hari accordingly raised his price target on Nvidia to $171 from $165 and maintains a Buy rating on the stock, which remains on the firm's Conviction List.
Thanks JB... I'll let you know which I end up getting. I tried to grab some $WYNN at the end of the day but didn't get filled. Glad it worked out for ya. Keep knocking it out of the park!
Hey JB... which date & strike did you go with for $SSYS? I feel the same way about the situation as you do. You nailed your price target on $SODA when I rolled with you on that one so how do you feel about $SSYS? If you don't mind sharing, I would like to see if the ones I'm thinking about are on the same page or at least in the same ballpark as yours. Thanks

I would like to say Thank You to UPB for posting the ADBE chart yesterday. I felt the force telling me to buy Adobe-Five Contractobi right before the market closed and it should turn out to be a good one.

I figured you would. Thanks for the quick reply JB.
GM JB. I have made some nice gains recently and I was wondering if you hold any put options as a form of "protection/insurance" in this high flying market. I'm just trying to play smart and dedicate a percentage of my profits to protection against a big pullback. If you don't mind sharing the info... I would like to know if you do hold any puts and any suggestions of which ones do you consider the best to own at this time or just a few I should consider. Thanks for sharing all that you do.
JB Thanks for the heads up on WIX sold 2 more today, all profit plus I have 1 more left.

Any idea of what kind of upside to expect on my purchase below? I'm still just a young buck in this options game. Any advice or selling strategy is welcomed. This should be interesting.

Thanks UPB! Feels good to get the first game changer :)
Thanks UPB... On the $PYPL I
Bought to Open 10 contracts of option PYPL NOV 18 2016 43.00 C at $0.37
I sold 4 of the contracts @ $1.05 to get my initial investment back plus a small profit. I now have 6 contracts free and they closed @ $1.80 I had a gut feeling I was selling early but I didn't want to be greedy.
On the $MSFT I
Bought to Open 10 contracts of option MSFT JAN 20 2017 65.00 C at $0.20
They opened Friday morning and hit .51 right away but pulled back to .29 so I bought 10 more contracts... but they didn't bounce back and closed @ .26 so I'm pretty much @ my avg on them & they are good until January 20th. I think as long as the market cooperates $MSFT should establish new all time highs soon enough.
It feels good to get in the game and I appreciate the knowledge, info and trade ideas you guys share on this board.
JB... when u get the chance please check out my post #303817
I finally got two making me some $$$, just need some selling advice.
I am a newbie to options... but I think I might have purchased my first 2 potentially profitable option contracts today... Any thoughts or advice on my purchases and/or future purchases is welcomed.
Bought to Open 10 contracts of option MSFT JAN 20 2017 65.00 C at $0.20
Bought to Open 10 contracts of option PYPL NOV 18 2016 43.00 C at $0.37
I thought buying the higher strike prices would get me the cheaper prices I was after, but I knew I needed good earnings to push them higher which was an obvious risk. So I combined that with the farther out expiration dates to give me time. It felt "safer" lol. I'm not sure if selling sooner rather than later is better or to give it time. I don't know the sweet spot to look for or the signal to sell. When does time running out begin to decay the value of the contracts? etc. Once again, Any comments or advice from anyone on this board will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Thanks for the response JB. I'm just quietly following this board trying to learn the options game. You guys are a great source of knowledge and quality trade ideas. Keep up the good work fellas and thanks for posting because it is appreciated.
Hands got burnt by this hot potato over night... but get ready for some interesting swings on this today. Trade carefully from here on out fellow ihubbers! Good luck to all... however your playing this one.

Time to rise! Put your lunch money to work... buy some shares. Free lunch on MGT today if your in :)
24 trades of MGT = $21,126.25 profit in a roth ira... Thank you MGT. The best stock I have ever consistently traded. Simply taking profits trading around a core position. Keep flipping it like a hot potato so you don't get burnt!
Thanks... Niantic, Inc., an American software development company based in San Francisco, California, is best known for developing and publishing the augmented reality mobile games Ingress and Pokémon Go.
The company was formed in 2010 by Keyhole, Inc. founder John Hanke as Niantic Labs, an internal startup within Google, before it was spun out of Google as an independent entity in October 2015.
Who gets the other 87%?
Creeping up to the 52 week high...
I had fun battling the MM's the past couple days... I thought about averaging down on Wednesday @ .004 but I felt my 100,000 shares for $1,175 was already money I would never get back so I chose to not buy more. Thursdays PR was a good one so I put in a buy for 150,000 @ .0077 and I normally use all or nothing orders but didn't this time and of course the gave me 10,000 and moved the ask up. I changed my order multiple times and chased the ask all day not getting filled for some strange reason. I ended the day with 110,000 for $1,250. Woke up Friday thinking I would just let the 110k shares just ride. Then we sat there stuck @ .0125 and I was reading the posts about the guy sitting there with 300k left until we could take off. So to get things moving along I put in an order for 140,000 @ .0125 AON. The order sat for a little bit while some trades went through and then wham the 140k filled and we were off to the races! At this point I had 250,000 shares for $3,050 and I originally planned on selling 50,000 @ .06 to get my 3k back but I ended up putting in a limit order to sell 100k @ .031 or above and I chose to not use the all or nothing option. Well some sold @ .035 and the rest @ .0311 which got my entire investment back plus a small profit. Now I'm excited to head into Monday riding 150,000 free shares with the hopes that UATG continues to rise like a phoenix from the sub-penny ashes! I hope all of us make some big money here and how can we not when we have a secret research and development arm. Cha-Ching! It was a fun way to end the week and the way it all went down is the reason we all trade... you never know when your dud will turn into your stud and when things heat up it gets exciting quick!
