Damn, IDCC signed 3 new license in qtr 3. So I am expecting a treat. If the Samsung arbitration license is announced during the meeting, we should get a meal. IMHO
Earnings 31 days after earnings is close to normal.
IDCC will announce earnings in 10/31/2024
before market opens.
Bill D’ and blessings and prayers to you and your son.
This investment has been a long wonderful journey providing many great friendships and associations throughout the years.
May IDCC fulfill our deceased shareholders and our financial dreams.
Now that all litigation between IDCC and Lenovo has been settled as a result of agreement to binding arbitration. Now we need the arbitration to proceed and conclude with the decision. Which I hope is line with IDCC’s Frand license offers and license durations.
Data thanks for stopping in.
If this is managed like I think someone is going to end up with nothing.
Trust me I won’t complain at a $1,000/share. Even split adjusted. As prices rise often shares are increased.
Mon you beat me to posting the after hour price. It is nice. There is plenty of good happening to and for IDCC both public and non public information.
Gamco thanks very much for the Loop update. Please pass my thanks to Jimlur. And ask him to relay my condolences to Loop’s family.
Thanks he will be missed.
Nice price and share close.
Jimlur, have you heard from Loop?
la, whatever is driving today’s price increase is appreciated. I would like to see a major increase in shares and price into the close.
la, you asked why is the stock up on a slow day? Consider the following:
1-Samsung arbitration completed. Awaiting rate decision and license from Jan 2023 forward.
2- Awaiting OPPO rate decision by UK court and license. Additionally, payment determination for past use years. Arrears funds.
3-Agreed to arbitration for rate and license with Lenovo, for period commencing Jan 2023 forward. When arbitration will start and finish is unknown at this time.
I would think when Lenovo and OPPO are licensed the other Chinese holdouts will come into the fold. In addition to any other holdouts.
More TV and other non phone licenses being signed, and Avanci signing more automaker companies.
I can only see good things coming to the company. As the CEO has indicated IDCC will be a billion dollar revenue producing company in a few years.
Some many typo’s when using the IPhone.
I think our CEO, Mr. Liren Chen, know what he is stalking about when he says IDCC will be a billion dollar revenue company in 6 years.
But the shares while you can.
Dvm, I reached out to him on June 15th, 2024. I have not received a return email response to this day,
la, a slow car swill get to the same place as a fast acceleration vehicle. No matter the car there is always someone with a faster car and always someone in front of you, it is impossible to always be the car in the front.
Excuse the typos.
And IDCC is waiting on the Oppo UK rate decision. Which should also be released soon.
Lime, Lenovo is I needed of a license from January 23 forward. I think the rate will be modeled on the Samsung arbitration agreement decision which should be made public anytime.
Samsung is unlicensed since January 2023.
Fish I hop your son was paid for his good deeds.
Zdog, I took my gas buggy across country last year. Gas stations everywhere. I love it.
Subaru from what I hear and know are good cars.
Zdog, I hear and understand your position.
la, I am not an admirer of electric vehicles, nor do I consider purchasing or even renting one while traveling.
A recent serious accident involving a Tesla hit a building and burst into flames, burning and killing both occupants (women). And I read two men were killed in a Tesla In California on the same day.
Additionally, my car dealer told me they cannot leave EV’s to charge when the sales office and repair shop are closed due to fire potential.
So, I will not be spending any of my IDCC gains on any electric vehicle including a scooter. At least not for the foreseeable future.
Paullee I do not have e access to the paid documents. My money says the court decides OPPO must pay for all past sales, as did Lenovo. What I don’t know is what the frand rate will be, and thur what years.
IDCC has a settled license with Samsung for their TV’s. They are in arbitration for the phones to set a rate which will be retroactive, as I recall to Jan1, 2023.

Feb 28, 2024
The global TV market’s shipments fell 3% in 2023 to reach 223 million units.
The US market’s strength proved insufficient in offsetting the weakness in China and Europe.
Counterpoint Research has initiated global TV market coverage with its first joint shipment tracker with DSCC.
Premium TV shipments fell 1% during the year despite extremely strong growth in China.
The premium segment is expected to grow by mid-single digits in 2024 on recovery in the US and Europe.
Seoul, Beijing, Boston, Buenos Aires, Fort Collins, Hong Kong, London, New Delhi – February 27, 2024
Global TV shipments fell 3% in 2023 to reach 223 million units as the US market’s strength was not enough to offset market declines across China and Europe, according to Counterpoint Research’s Global TV Shipment Tracker. Samsung Electronics remained in the top spot while Chinese vendors Hisense and TCL grew by mid-single digits, riding the growth in North America.
Counterpoint Research has initiated coverage of global TV shipments with the Global TV Shipment Tracker, a quarterly report split by region, screen size, resolution, average selling price (ASP) and other parameters. This tracker comes in collaboration with DSCC, which Counterpoint acquired recently. DSCC is providing enhanced details on premium segments, including advanced display technologies across OLED (includes QD-OLED), Mini/Micro LED and quantum dot LCD.
“We are excited to roll out Counterpoint Research’s Global TV Shipment Tracker, a powerful tool to assess the market and technology trends as well as the competitive environment,” said Tom Kang, Director, Counterpoint Research. “As the first joint product of Counterpoint and DSCC, the tracker also shows how we are bringing additional value to clients, with the net result much greater than the sum of its parts."
A little information pertaining to Samsung TV business.
“Samsung Electronics Continues Its Reign as Global TV Market Leader for 18 Consecutive Years
Samsung Electronics has once again demonstrated its dominance in the global TV market, marking an unprecedented 18-year streak at the forefront of the industry.
Market research firm Omdia reported that Samsung has achieved a 30.1% share of the global TV market in 2023, reinforcing its status as the industry leader since 2006. This success is largely due to the company’s strategic focus on premium and large-screen TV categories, driven by its cutting-edge QLED and OLED models.
Since its launch in 2017, Samsung’s QLED TV lineup, including the latest Neo QLED models, has surpassed cumulative sales of 40 million units. In 2023 alone, the QLED
Paullee the article you posted sounds as if Oppo has to pay IDCC. A frand rate determination and duration of years covered for past use amounts decision seems imminent.
Lump I agree about the greater good. The condo association should put rules in place,as should the state officials.
Personally, I like gasoline vehicles or simple muscle power, such as bikes-scooters- skates and leg power.
lumpy folks who bought electric vehicles and such exercised their freedom rights. And no one should restrict the right to do what others may disagree with.
The stock is attractive given the upside potential from new and expanding partnerships in the smartphone market, the medium-term opportunity in consumer electronics, and the long-term opportunity to license to cloud service providers," Bhatia said in a Sept. 11 client note.
I am pleased with the push thru to close at
$141.05. Nice close as we approach the end of the quarter.
Can we close on or at a new high. That is more important than the daily trading range.
One of these days we are going to close at or above $140/share. While we wait the day traders and shorts are having fun.
At this time we are waiting on the IDCC and Samsung arbitration rate decision for wireless devices which will be for the period commencing Jan 1, 2023 forward. In addition Samsung is licensed for their televisions,
We are still fighting it out with Lenovo in the US and India. And Oppo and Realme in India. Of course they are Chinese companies.
Has anyone heard from Loophole lately?
Loop are you out there?
Good to hear from you.
