GOTO Changes Name to Overture!
Looks like DIG was a dollar short and a year late.

As we mentioned previously, GOTO was planning to change its name due to similarities of the name with other companies and lawsuit from Go2Networks. They finally announced their name change and the change went in effect last month. The new name is "Overture."
Although, Overture is not name as catchy as GOTO was, Overture does not expect to loose any business because of it. Overture's main source of revenue is due to its partnerships with other major search engines such as AOL Search, AltaVista, HotBot, Lycos and Netscape. In fact, Overture also announced their first profitable quarter last month and their stock price skyrocketed over 30% after a surprise earnings report of better than expected earnings.

Much too technical for me!

Over-eager Disney shareholders disappointed by Yahoo announcement: Yahoo's dismal news confirmed some
informed speculation that had vipered throughout Wall Street for much of Wednesday. Among the many possible
scenarios considered by observers and investors alike was a lousy earnings announcement, an acquisition by Disney
or Vivendi, or a near apocalyptic cost-cutting initiative involving massive layoffs. Indeed, "Influential Merrill Lynch
analyst"TM Henry Blodget wasn't above indulging in some speculation of his own about the company which had earlier
in the day cancelled an appearance at an Internet conference being hosted by his employer. "To our knowledge,
" Blodget wrote in a memo, "Yahoo has never canceled the day before a conference. As a result, it seems prudent to
review the usual reasons that led to such cancellations." Blodget, clearly hard-pressed to cover all his bases, said the
announcement "[would] likely be one of four usual possibilities: impending earnings pre-announcement and)
Restructuring, major acquisition, take-out or strategic investment, (or) major management change."

Re: Whether to sell..
Right now DIS is at $30.50. If DIS should go up to, say $32.50 on March 20th and DIG drops to $1.50 it would br better to hold on to DIG until the conversion on the 20th.
JMHO
GrandpaDude
6Aces, looks like Mikey and Mickey made monkeys out of all of us!
GO IS DEAD!
If DIS goes up to $103.56 per share I will break even. What a JOKE! How sad.
Re: The final nail in SEEK's coffin
Excuse me for a moment, folks. Those goddamn, major-league, mismanaging assholes!!!!
They just wasted three years doing a 180 degree turn! Arrrgggghhhhh!!!
Near as I can tell, their absorption of SEEK was nothing more than a buying of scare
resources at the time to build their verticals.
Now, I can't even imagine what will happen to DIG prior to the conversion. Right now, based
on today's exchange rate the ratio appears to offer a 30% premium, if I did my math right, i.e.
.19353 equalling approximately 1 share of DIS for every 5 shares of DIG.
Does this sound right?
It's pretty close, Meme.
I order for me to break even DIS will have to go up to $103.56 per share. We just got F-U-C-Ked big time..
a hoax?
You be the judge.

Dick, I hope you get the last two on your list. Money and a blonde can't be all bad.
I just took some time off the net. As long as my stocks whent to hell I did not want to accompany them down.
So, I just smelled some roses, saw my kids and grandkids, took a few short trips, meditated and did a little service work.
Just happy to see that the gang is all here!
