was there any institutional ownership for rino?
has anyone been able to find verification of apple, nike, sony, addidas that they have gone into business with eachother? i cant find anything on their websites or any sort of indication that contracts have been made. i feel this is a pretty simple thing to prove legitamacy.
if i remember correctly there is supposed to be a 3rd hit piece coming right?
i lost thousands. i wish i could continue to hold but have finally been pushed out. any recovery?..i wont see it because i cant afford to stay in and risk yet another 50% cut. the stock market is supposed to be a place where you can make calculated decisions but this is worse than gambling. sorry for the negativety but this isnt fair anymore. and i know, i know the world and the market isnt fair but this takes it to a whole new level. ive only been involved with stocks for a year and half now trying to learn and a lot of it coming from IHUB(thanks). but what ive been witnessing throughout the time and today is making me on the verge of quitting the entire chinese space. peter lynch taught me that value always wins out but it appears that lies and perception win out. maybe in the long run value wins but only if you dont get killed in the short term. im practically just a kid getting his money stolen.
again, sorry for venting my frustations but none of my friends would understand, as im the only one who does this. thanks for listening. hope i can recover
1 percent.
i understand the concern guys and have been told many times by many people for a long time not to mess with this stuff but curiousity has finally begun to get the best of me. if i think this stock will go to 17$ or 18$ by nov. 20 then why would i not buy some calls with a stike of 16$ or 17$?
ok i get the terms now. in the money if strike is below market price. out of the money if above. still wondering though if both stikes are above the market should you go with one that is 16$ and more expensive or one at 17$ and cheaper?
haha, i know. thats why im asking..not saying im going to do it(but i might just gamble) just trying to begin the process of learning. thanks to the both of you though
i dont understand the terminology in or out of the money..sorry. explain a little further please
im trying to understand calls more: is it better to get a lower strike at a higher price or a higher strike at a lower price? lets just assume this goes above $20
maybe someone can explain this to me:
ive been looking through all the 10Q's and the 10-k and numbers arent matching up.
Q2 of 2009 they are showing they had .07eps and for the year .13eps. so i concluded that Q1 was .06eps.
then Q3 they show .27eps and total for the year .79eps.
well .27 plus .07 plus .06 doesnt equal .79
also when they came out with their Q1 for 2010 of .23eps they said they had .23eps for Q1 of 2009..
what am im not seeing here?
i took a look at this stock and this is what i see:
2010 q1 .08 2009 q1 .05(my calculation) 2008 q1 .04
q1 .07(says 10q)
q2 .06 q2 .06
q3 .11 diluted .12 basic q3 .06
q4 .62 q4 .40
inventory up 3.1 mil to 4.9 mil(im guessing they are stocking more getting prepared for increase in sales)
total current assets up 18.3 mil to 48.4 mil
other assets up 2.4 mil
total assets up 24.4 mil to 83.6 mil
i like that they only have 20 million shares outstanding
i see a PE of 7.7 with a PEG of .22
and with my conservitate estimates for 2010 i have a PE of 5.9 with a PEG of about .21
the one thing i didnt like is i think they have 14 mil in cash and 19 mil in debt. but their assets are heavy so i dont think it's that big a deal.
Glen Bradford,
I've been reading a lot of peter lynch and globalspeculation and respecting a lot of what you have to say. This is a more general question rather than one that directly applies to djsp. How much do you pay attention to the political world, if any at all? I ask because I realized that Peter Lynch hardly ever mentioned it in "one up on wall street". Do you completely ignore all that and just stick to the fundamentals; or ever listen for a little guidence? Peter Lynch, at least made it appear to me, to only care about the market and never paid much attention or mentioned anything outside of it.
-Trevor
ps. wasnt quite sure how else to contact you and ask the question, hope this board is ok with this.
i thought when prices decreased that meant there was demand.
eps took such a huge hit. hope q2 shows something cause this stock is getting killed
i hope this isnt annoying and you guys are patient with me, since you have much more knowledge of the game than I. But i am just trying to progress like you and have to start some where.
im doin a little research on LPIH and dont understand how the revenue, gross profit and adjusted net income are up but the net income appears to be down unless its adjusted from GAAP? is the adjusted the one to be more in tune with? I dont understand the reasoning behind GAAP since it appears the adjusted is the one more accurate. it appears there is wiggle room when using GAAP and things recorded that dont really accutately represent the companies expenses, is this right?
Net income for the three months ended March 31, 2010 was $12.1 million as compared to $6.7 million for the three months ended March 31, 2009, due to the reasons set forth above. In accordance with GAAP, the Company recorded a noncash expense to record the change in the fair value of derivatives. The financial instruments classified as derivatives consisted of stock warrants issued in connection with the October 2009 Financing and 285,714 previously outstanding stock warrants issued in February, 2009. If the noncash adjustment had not been necessary to record, the Company's net income would have been $13.3 million, which would represent net income growth of 99.7% for the three months ended March 31, 2010 as compared to the three months ended March 31, 2009.
Net income for the nine months ended March 31, 2010 was $15.7 million as compared to $20.9 million for the nine months ended March 31, 2009. In accordance with GAAP, the Company recorded a noncash expense to record the change in the fair value of derivatives. The financial instruments classified as derivatives consisted of stock warrants issued in connection with the October 2009 Financing and 2.7 million previously outstanding stock warrants issued in February, 2009 and December, 2007. If the noncash adjustment had not been necessary to record, the Company's net income would have been $30.8 million, which would represent net income growth of 47.5% for the nine months ended March 31, 2010 as compared to the nine months ended March 31, 2009. There was no noncash adjustment for the adjustment to the fair value of the Company's stock warrants during the nine months ended March 31, 2009.

also, do you know how much stock the management owns? i cant find anything on it.
by the way, PERT is on the bid and ask on this stock too. who is this guy and do you think it matters? his bid is so ridiculous at .0001 and the ask at 2.04. i dont get it.
does anyone know how much stock the management owns? and if you find it where do you see it?
cool. just thought it was interesting and relevant information since we have been talking about both on here and would receive thought and responses from the board. it made me like the buy back idea even more. and nole, dont thank me, thank peter lynch
im reading "one up on wall street" by peter lynch and this is a paragraph from his avoid diworseifiction part:
Instead of buying back shares or raising dividends, profitable companies often prefer to blow the money on foolish acquisitions. The dedicated diworeifier seeks out merchandise that is (1) overpriced, and (2) completely beyond his or her realm of understanding. This ensures that losses will be maximized.
so we dont know what this acquisition might be right?
when is the Q2 due?
thank you. any ideas on how its gonna look?
have they filed 10q yet?
so jump on it
hey guys knock it off. this is supposed to be informative not a chat room
sorry but i dont really know the charts that well. dont know what youre trying to get at. though i see vol there at 4pm was 0, which again i dont understand
not liking this at all.
i dont know if you understood what i said. it showed 800 vol, i sold 200, it should have went to 1000 but it dropped to 400. maybe its just ameritrade being retarded but just found it odd
what is holding cnoa back?
what are everyones thoughts on jada this week? gonna be a lot of profit taking today or you think should hold on till 10q comes out? i would be more comfortable holding all shares except for the future talked about in the 10k looked a bit iffy
now i see it shows the 3.10
something isnt right here. i tried to sell 200 shares at 3.25 for days and nothing happened. today the volume was showing 800 and i just filled at 3.10 but the pps didnt change and the vol went to 400..
why is there absolutley no volume on this thing?
top link doesnt work
fernando, ive been following you and a couple others for weeks and months now. need to make a couple posts in order to try out the premium membership so they know im not a spammer..so heres my first.
thanks for all your unknown help thus far.
i wanted to get into this stock at $4.40 the 14th of this month but wanted it to pull back just a bit to $4 before i bought in and then watched it jump to $5.10. I finally bought some at $5.05 and hope good things happen.
im very young and very new at all this and dont have much to contribute or much money. but im trying to learn now and get ahead of the curve. thank you for all the posts and recommendations you've made
and oh yea, thanks for this particular post about the volume. I am beginning to understand when to buy stocks but having a very hard time knowing when to sell. this bit of info helps
