I'm wondering what Advant-e will do next.
I just received this from Schwab. Anyone have more info or know how we'll be able to trade ADVC after August?
Learn how amendments to SEC Rule 15c2-11 impact your account(s)
On September 28, 2021, new amendments adopted by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) go into effect to enhance investor protection and improve issuer transparency. These amendments restrict the ability of market makers to publish quotations for those companies that have not made required current financial and company information available to regulators and investors.
Ahead of the regulatory enforcement date, Schwab will only accept orders to liquidate positions (i.e. no new buy orders) starting in late August 2021. Please note: After the amendment officially goes into effect on September 28, 2021 it may be more difficult to liquidate these securities. Quoting and market liquidity may also be very limited.
What this means for your account(s).
You’re receiving this notification because you currently hold (or have held) the impacted securities noted at the end of this notice.
You may have multiple options to consider, such as:
Take no action. You are not required to sell these securities; however, starting in late August 2021 we will restrict these securities to liquidation-only transactions. You may continue to hold them, but you may have difficulty selling them in the future and there is no guarantee as to what their future value will be.
Place trades to liquidate. You may place trades to liquidate these securities now. Due to the uncertainly, we cannot guarantee there will be sufficient liquidity to close your position(s) in the future.
Transfer your positions to another financial institution. Other U.S. financial institutions are also impacted by this amendment so you may have difficulty transferring them out of Schwab. If you are interested in transferring the assets, please contact your other financial institution to initiate the transaction.
Thank you for your understanding in this matter. Guidance on and implementation of this amendment are rapidly changing, and we are committed to providing you with updated information once it is available. If you have any questions or need further assistance, please call us at 800-435-4000.

Ok, but I'm not a subscriber to this board.
Yes, once a year usually in April or May.
Dividend paid yesterday, $0.41 per share, about 9%
Why would they do this? Do they expect there's naked short selling?
Surprise $0.02 per share dividend Just showed up in my account. I didn't see it announced anywhere. LOL!
Yes. I check in occasionally. I see the volume has been up lately.
They aren't required to because there are fewer than 500 shareholders and they have less than $10 million in total assets.

Special dividend. 3 cents this time.
Nice, But some kind of a financial report from Advant-e would be helpful.
70k share buy at $0.42
ADVC may want to consider AUTO's actions before forcing shareholders to sell back their shares cheap. AUTO is going private for $1.05. Now there are at least 3 law firms investigating the board of directors.
Yahoo's at Yahoo can't seem to keep the ADVC board working. :)
They would do a reverse split of 10,000 to 1 and buy up all fractional shares at a pre-split price of 27 cents per share. That would be a buy out of anyone owning less than 10,000 shares. Then they would split at 1,000 to 1. This would reduce the number of share holders to 75.
After the actions described in the press release today, would the stock then be traded as a pink sheet stock?

Investment of the day
Someone bought 100 shares at $0.235 ($23.50 investment). It's nice to see it green, though.
OTC BB
I see ADVC is back on it this morning.
2005 revenue was $4,462,702. 2010 revenue was $9,302,611. Revenue doubled in 5 years.
I had some shares of a company called Vialink a few years back. They were involved in scanned-based trading and always on the verge of what they referred to as "critical mass" with their network of customers. They were bought out by somebody else (the name escapes me) who was then bought out by PCYG. Now I see PCYG is launching what they call a "mega hub" which I guess would mean they're on the verge of greatness. Or is it a replay of Vialink's "critical mass" story but with a different name?
I think your right on the $0.073 per share income for Q4. That's a whopping 46.7% increase over Q4 2009. I'd think that would attract a little attention.
Q4 2010
Looks like net income was 487k for Q4 2010. Just maintaining that level for all of 2011 would result in a net income for 2011 of 1.95 million or 2.9 cents per share. P/E 10 share price would be $0.29, Now if ADVC were valued like PCYG, then the sky is the limit. LOL.
PCYG is a real puzzle to me. Why is their share price as high as it is?
ADVC has a much better return on equity than AUTO and ADVC has no debt.

I've held ADVC for several years. I believe that their large presence in the grocery industry gives them a network-effect advantage in a nice stable industry. Health care could work out well too. It's been a very boring investment but I'm starting to like it more and more in my old age. (LOL)
I have a much smaller position in AUTO.OB. They're profitable as well. (just a mention of course, do your own dd).
Thanks ghmm,
From your table, about half of the revenue increase for the first three quarters of 2010 as compared to the first three quarters of 2009 went to net income. Net income income increased about 24% on an increase of 6% in revenue.

ADVC earnings this week?
For my Schwab brokerage account, they send a check (from Schwab). I believe that I could have it setup to get deposited in the account though (not sure). In my Schwab IRA account, dividends are deposited into the account.
Yes sir. I've received all the dividends. I've held ADVC for a while. It's a value stock and a hold (imo).
