Another week goes by and no decision ...at least we know the consulting judges will have their weekly Shrimp boat and raw bar tower on Friday's to celebrate another week of paid fees and expenses at the expense of the taxpayer

Your tax dollars at work.... Not sure if the judges that rule on these things are Government full time employees, or if they are independent judges or professionals that bill hourly.. If they are the later, then why not drag it our forever at $700 per hour....

i agree though..... this should have been decided in less than 1/2 hour, given that they have been scrutinizing this case for over 5 years...

What's taking this freaking PTO so long to come up with a conclusion. how much more time could it possibly take?
These same idiots that have been looking at this case for the last 4 years... you would think it would be a quick decision. No wonder this country is doomed...

Backpedaling here, I think the PTO needs to issue a final ruling on this, regardless if ANDR and Apple settle.... The PTO should care less on that matter...There needs to be a clear understanding of what patents ANDR are valid, if they choose to go after other infringers... At least the PTO decision (good or bad) will finally lay the framework what ANDR patents include.

If there is a settlement with Apple we will never know for how much or any terms.. Same as all the other settlements they made in the last 7 years.... Total BS.. cant believe the SEC allows this for the shareholders (ie, owners of the company), but they do....

my guess is that the PTO ruling is on hold, being that ANDR and Apple have notified them that they are working on a settlement deal.
I don't think Apple wants a ruling on this..... makes them look bad... Apple settled with KOSS through a 3rd party to wipe there hands of it.
Good or Bad, there should be a final PTO ruling, however I assume ANDR legal will advise them to settle.....

Actually a licensing agreement with Apple would be better, because that would lead on to Google, Amazon and others...... but that will never happen, because the legal team wants the buckets of shrimp, lobsters and oysters NOW!

If there is a settlement, I would only assume and expect ANDR lawyers to pressure the Doug Man to settle for the smallest amount, as long as the legal fee's and some peanuts for Doug (not shareholders) are in the deal.

We wont' know the amount of the settlement either, because that is supposedly confidential... Not sure why, but that's how it goes

lets see.... looks like Koss and Apple settled their case for 14 million, related to patent infringement on ear buds.... 14 million is chicken feed for Apple... assume Koss didn't want to spend the legal fees for the next 8 years.

Well the good thing about all this, is that all of the attorneys will be paid in full. I would guess that between Andrea and Apple legal team fees to date would be over 5 million..... Current market cap of ANDR is 1.5 million...... What is wrong with this picture....

So the next episode in this on going Soap Opera is to have a ruling from the PTO? Any opinions on that, and how long that takes?

Does that civil suit move ahead. I can't even imagine what this case has cost in legal and court fees. A civil suit with a jury would be a joke...imagine trying to explain these patents to Joe and Karen Sixpack.

Yes, very hard to follow, but I will say that the judges know their stuff and are on top of it. The lady judge had the Apple lawyer twisted up like a pretzel and had him apologizing for everything...

Not sure where this ends up, but I think Apple has resolved their issues with Softbank/ Fortress.

One thing I can guarantee though, if there is a settlement, the amount of the settlement will equal all of the attorney fees, and the shareholder as usual will get zero... nothing ever changes in this world..

I couldn't access the Law360 website to see the full article...or I should clarify that I was not going to subscribe for a cost. I could find a million other worthy things to blow my money on.

I actually did not even know that they were still litigating this... I thought it was done.

I would have to think that the 3 judges are looking at each other, scratching their heads, and asking themselves..... Really Apple... your wasting our time on this, when you could have just bought or settled with the company for peanuts.

Our only hope, is if the judges are so pissed at Apple that they make them pay for it... a very very very long shot..

Maybe the Christmas Cards Apple handed out were a little "light"

The Federal Circuit's chief judge rebuked an attorney for Apple on Wednesday, telling him "to be more accurate" in representations to the court about why it should affirm a Patent Trial and Appeal Board decision invalidating several claims in an audio enhancement patent.
