yep agree vaper...pretty amazing about Hoskinson's foresight to progress cardano so far ahead of most blockchains, so early on

wow nice developments from yesterday's 10k...
In March 2022, The Puerto Rico Financial Oversight Management Board announced that a number of solar pv and battery projects
awarded by PREPA, the Puerto Rican electric utility, were affirmed. This is an important step in the finalization of the projects
awarded to the BFHJ-Korean JV and its contract for a 48 MW solar pv project with 98 MWH of battery storage. The JV also has
interest in three projects totaling 142 MW solar pv and 250MWH of battery storage in Nevada. In January, 2022, the JV entered
into an agreement to sell one of the Nevada projects to a large domestic utility, upon final development approvals.

Cardano (ADA)'s Next Wave
Cardano is already checking a lot of boxes. We have NFTs that are native tokens, secure smart contracts, self-custodied staking, scalability solutions, DeFi, RealFi, a nation state partnership, and now even EVM compatibility. But, the next wave of Cardano innovation will also leverage our eUTxO architecture & our ecosystem's innovative thinking to do things that crypto's never even seen before.
Cardano (ADA) TVL Monsoon
One of the problems in crypto is that crypto people are actually a little bit too smart and they will always find an ingenious way to achieve a goal even if it's of dubious worth. Cardano is currently feeling the initial sprinklings of what many hope will eventually become a monsoon of total value locked in the ecosystem. But, right now at the beginning, it's probably important that we ask the overarching philosophical question: is value locked an inherently good thing?
Cardano (ADA)'s Hungry Layerverse
You might remember a video on this channel from back in September called "Cardano & the Layerverse." That video was about the idea that the Cardano baselayer, the L1, the mainnet, would always represent the Cardano root of trust while an arbitrary number of additional layers representing arbitrary programming paradigms & trade offs between scaling, decentralization, and security could & would be built on top of that baselayer. Today, the advent of EVM compatibility in Cardano also brought us the birth of that layerverse. But this...this will just be the first of many, many hungry layers that will happily gobble up the assets of other chains.
I agree Dapper but some just can't help themselves after a 50% run-up over the past week
Cardano & Taking the Field
Cardano is like a pre-season sports team that's spent several years collecting all the right players for each position to make the perfect team before it actually embarks on a title run. Now we look around & realize we have an energy efficient consensus mechanism; block validation that's much more decentralized than competitors; big throughput and scaling gains coming via input endorsers, pipelining, & the three big CIPs in June, cheap deterministic fees; higher security in our smart contracts due to functional programming; & hundreds of projects launching this year. It feels good that all the preparation is behind us & 2022 is the year we're finally getting out to take the field for real.
ain't that something, Selk
we're golden here
Cardano (ADA)'s Ghost Anvil
I've said this before, but it should be glaringly obvious to everyone at this point that the approach of Cardano's community is one of our greatest strengths. Our community is gigantic. But, I'm not even talking about the size here. The spirit and intellectual approach of the Cardano community was forged in an extremely hostile environment where we couldn't hide anything, we couldn't gloss over details, and we had to be 100% intellectually honest because the ghost chain was going to be attacked for any misstep or logical fallacy. That harsh environment was a hammer & anvil that birthed a ghost army with incredibly high & rigorous standards. That's our real strength, the spirit of the ghost army.
Cardano & Expansion
I've always contended that no one really knows what's going to happen over the short term in crypto. But, it does feel like we're in the early days of what could be a period of very rapid expansion of use of Cardano. As this happens, the ecosystem will probably have to take the good with the bad and the destination we reach may not be our idealized dream scenario. But, it seems like it should turn out to be quite a few steps better than the current crypto scene and a pretty good place to be.
Cardano (ADA) & the Obvious
We've reached that point in the history of cryptocurrencies where the legacy blockchain projects actually need to show some progress toward the world changing goals that were so seductive to all of us when we first learned about crypto. Unfortunately, that is going to require the accommodation of ever increasing complexity in these networks. We may already be seeing the first signs of the biggest legacy competitor chain cracking under the pressure while Cardano was literally built to evolve into exactly this type of complex machine.
Totally agree with your strategy
Army of spies makes a great case for it as well
Cardano (ADA) & the Runway
While recent postings from a very prominant Ethereum developer would lead one to believe that blockchain is decaying and rusting from the inside out due to the ills of complexity, a huge amount of momentum is building in Cardano for waht's going to happen in the second half of the year after the June Vasil hard fork and the legion of dApps that will be cleared for launch by that upgrade. In a reversal of fortune, it looks like our biggest competitor is inching its way toward being grounded by mechanical problems while the Ghost Army (or Ghost Air Force in this case) is already out on the runway preparing all of its squadrons for launch.
Cardano (ADA) & Complexity
As a software developer this is a very common issue in all sorts of systems, even seemingly simple ones. And I usually have a similar opinion, which is, remove, delete, simplify redundant features and code. Fundamentally the mistake isn't necessarily the amount of features it's more about the fact that the features and code are being added on top of unsteady foundations but the trains momentum is such that it is difficult to stop and it gets to a point where the complexity is so high, no single person knows how to explain what is going on. And it's partly due to group think and the size of the team, sometimes it's better to step back and pause, move a project in the direction informed by ONE brain and not hundreds of them
Dynamic Cardano
I think the next year is going to be a very dynamic period for Cardano. The Cardano we know today is going to change in ways that are predictable and also in ways that we won't be able to foresee. We're already seeing things today in Cardano DeFi that not many people would have predicted a week ago and this theme is going to be hugely amplified once we have 500 projects on the blockchain. Buckle up for an interesting & dynamic year.
Cardano (ADA) & Cross-Currents
Today is the one year anniversary of this channel. On that day, one year ago, we were celebrating the news that Cardano was finally on Coinbase. We had also only had NFTS for a couple of weeks with the Mary hardfork. Here we are one year & 316 episodes later. It's only fitting that the one -year birthday of this channel finds Cardano facing opposing cross-currents: forces working in favor of and against the momentum of this, the worlds greatest blockchain.
Cardano (ADA)'s Ghost Army
Tomorrow is the one year birthday of videos on this channel. Episode #1 was on St. Patrick's Day 2021. When I started this channel back then, Cardano was already a lot of things. But, I would have probably called it ,most importantly, a collection of great ideas combined with a group of people who understood them. Things are different now. There are 500 different projects building on Cardano. They think we're a ghost chain. So be it. Welcome to the era of the rise of the Ghost Army!
nice re-entry point
interesting notation from the newly released fins...

Currently, the Company sells its App to one customer. One of our current equity investors who is also a lender to the Company has an affiliation with our sole customer, however, this entity is not a control person or related party of either the Company or its sole customer.
hmmm I wonder what that means?

Cardano (ADA) & Internal Components
I remember when I was a kid that one of my history teachers was rebuilding a muscle car. The thing always looked incomplete. Months would go by and there would no visible signs of progress. This teacher explained that he was building the car from the inside out. Why didn't he throw some fenders & paint on it? Because that would be the easy part at the end & the exterior finishes would just get in the way in the meantime. This is the way that Cardano has been build...robust & strong internal components first, and it looks like we're just months away form turning this thing into a fully realized machine.
Cardano (ADA) & Readiness
A good case can be made that life is really all about what you would like to build and that one of the crucial factors is what timeline you are building on. The wisest among us often seem to be building on longer timelines and that involves predicting relevant intervening circumstances & then optimizing for that future environment. Today's news out of the EU on crypto energy use policy is once again making it look like Cardano may have done this better than any other blockchain.
well said, Lu
fear and greed are the almighty motivators of the human condition

Cardano & Seismic Shifts
Many hold the belief that on a long enough timeline all fiat currencies eventually go to zero. Mitigating this fear is a fundamental use case of hard-capped cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin & Cardano. We currently live in a world where the West has banded together to destroy the Ruble to deter Russian aggression in Ukraine. Simultaneously, parts of the West seem intent on destroying their own fiat through arguably self-imposed inflation out of fear of crashing their own markets. It's now possible that new Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs) may be the only escape hatch left for these governments if things go too far. The remaining question is where would these types of seismic shifts leave crypto & Cardano.
Cardano & the Public Good
In 1776 in "An Inquiry into the Nature and Causes of the Wealth of Nations", Adam smith wrote about the role of the invisible hand of the market in guiding the correct economic allocations that will best promote the public interest. Ever since then, economies that describe themselves with lesser or greater degrees of accuracy, as "free market economics" have struggled with finding the right levels of economic regulation. As it confronts crypto, the developed world is now finding itself at a historic crossroads that will be defined by whether it can find balance between free markets & regulation.

thanks SL...although there will be govt oversight, it also appears that crypto is gaining some serious acceptance in DC
Cardano & Societal Integration
It looks like today might be the day that Biden signs the executive orderon crypto. Reports for weeks now have indicated this executive order will probably underwhelm the crypto space in that it may not provide much clarity and instead will mainly set a 180 day timeline for various regulatory agencies to come up with reports on crypto. Regardless of what we actually see in this executive order, this is probably the beginning (for better or worse) of cryptos integration as a legitimate asset class into society.
Cardano, Voltaire, & Danger
Charles just gave us one of those updates where he tells us about the past, present, & future. He talked about what they've done, where we are, and where we're going. We're now at a very interesting point on the Cardano timeline. We've pretty much done all the work you would need to do as a best in class generation three cryptocurrency, and some more pieces of that will deploy soon. But, next up is Voltaire. This is the governance era & it might be the trickiest and most dangerous period of Cardano development yet.
Cardano & Lack of Capture
An enormous pitfall for revolutionary new movements & technologies is capture by the incumbents. This is the action of the pre-ante status quo stakeholders to use their ordinarily greater economic might to actually buy the upstart before it can unseat them from their hegemony. In many scenarios this is actually the most likely outcome given the asymmetry of economic power between the old guard & the new upstart. We're already seeing this in crypto & it shocked people very recently. But, it looks like Cardano might be different

Cardano's Little Mysteries
The history of Cardano is replete with mysteries going back even before the stuffed bird incident. Speculating about these mysteries, especially the wild & baseless variety of speculation, is essentially a Cardano national pass time at this point. Whether the existence of these mysteries is good or bad for the development of the ecosystem, I'll leave that for you to decide. But, in the meantime, we've got a couple of small DEX mysteries we can examine.
Smooth Cardano (ADA)
Do you remember the first time you tried to drive? We all sucked at it...accelerating too fast & braking way too hard...not knowing how to coordinate the actions of our feet with the movements of our hands. Everyone was terrible. Then we practiced. We practiced everyday & we got better. Pretty soon they were letting us drive 50, 60, or 70 mph with a few feet of other cars on the freeway. Why? Because our driving had become smooth, predictable, & trustworthy. Cardano projects have also been practicing over the last many months, & now we get to enter the smooth phase.

Cardano (ADA) & Gravity
In some outdoor sports, there's this moment. It's that point when a backcountry skier or snowboarder has already reached the top of the ridge, when a skydiver is already at altitude, or when a mountain biker has already finished the climb over the pass. It's that moment when you've already put in all the work & you're already eactly where you need to be to just let gravity take over and power you from there as your reward. You've still gotta pay attention on the way down, but it's a lot more fun & a lot less grind than all the work that got you there. That's where we are right now, Cardano.
Cardano (ADA) & SWIFT Currents
Once again, we find ourselves living in turbulent & volatile times. The West has sanctioned Putin & Putin has put his military on high nuclear alert. This is not the stuff that makes for the kind of geo-political stability that global financial markets thrive on. Cardano & all of crypto will be swimming against strong currents. Luckily for Cardano, we specialize in swimming against strong currents.
Cardano (ADA) & Chaos
Today, we saw a single man wield his military power to attack a young budding democracy in an attempt to depose its governement. Some tried to brush it off with whataboutism by pointing to past events in order to somehow distribute the blame for this horrific event across all of humanity. That's a feeble-minded attempt to avoid the necessity of confronting a single bad man waging a war of choice against democracy out of nostalgia & yearning for a lost empire & a desire to preserve his own despotic power in the face of spreading democracy.
