Can someone please provide a post number that explains what is happening with WMIH?
Hey guys. So which stock will be worth ~$8 pps? The current WMIH stock or the much larger amount; I forget what its called (WAM.E1 in Scottrade)? Of course I am very much hoping the answer will be the latter.
It's a Federal Holiday
This explanation by Catz (thanks) is brief and clear. Can we sticky this post so shareholders who rarely visit the board can find out what has to be done in regards to voting?
IMO of course.
It's been a "rockie road", that's for sure.
cicimic: I looked through previous threads and can't find anything about news coming out today. If you would be so kind, what news are you referring to?
Now that truly made me LOL! <EOM>
It's worth mentioning again that the WAMUQ PPS makes no difference unless you are buying or selling the stock.
It would be fantastic if we who are actaully working at work could get some news from the court instead of the bickering that is currently taking place.
Well if it's going to be a couple/few years until the settlement is approved, then the least the MMs could do is bring the PPS down below .05 cents so everyone can continue to build their WAMUQ portfolio with cheapies!
I don't see how any of these predictions of climbing to .20 and beyond can come true. The MMs simply won't let it happen IMO.
Hey Chaarles. I care about the PPS because I just got more money for ammo! That means going down to the local Scottrade office and depositing a check in the early morning so the funds are available by 12:00. Of course my plan may not pan out because of court tomorrow but we'll see... I just can't see the stock halting tomorrow; but I can see the PPS sky-rocketing on GREAT settlement news.
All IMO. Go Longs!
IMO, the only explosions in PPS that is likely to happen this week is going to be the MMs trying to shake people of their positions. Go Longs!
.30 cents might be a little low!
There's a wall at .22 to .24 only if the MMs want there to be a wall IMO. The MMs showed impressive control over the penny market today. Took us on a wild ride only to return to the same station.
Go Longs.
Diamond, while I agree with your "2 Times Value Plus" prediction, I can't see that Susman & Co. plus the rest of the EC will allow equity pricing games to be played like in the BSs case. Aren't we going to find out the real equity number in V7 of the new POR? How can JPM and the others mess with shareholders by low-balling if it's in black & white. It's my understanding that the equity dollar figure will be in the POR, it will either be approved or not. It's not going to start at pennies and go up two times to a final negotiated pps. And besides, didn't I read that the EC is helping to draft the next POR? Anyways, BS didn't have an EC (I don't think) and they didn't have the other side dead to rights in addition to strong outside influences like we do. Therefore, IMO, the different circumstances between the two cases will yield a different outcome.
The good news?? Predictions on what the endgame might look like are numerous on this board. I'm going to try and be patient waiting for the most excellent news whatever it may be.
Go Longs!
This is the under-statement of the year:
The MMs did a masterful job at controlling the WAMUQ stock price today. I don't agree with anything they do, but I am impressed that they could hold down the price in the face of such massive buy pressure.
Voodoo. We need the stock price to buy/sell shares...otherwise it doesn't matter right? When it's green, I love to see money being pumped into my acct. When it's red; I wait until it's green and then watch it again! Lol
Well if that comment is in reference to me, then I can only say that I have read most everything in the library, I am informed of issues through daily checks of this site, and I have been a long since Nov 2008. Being admonished for not being even more involved seems unfair.
I would post more but I don't post speculation and rumor and honestly, I just don't have the time to DD anything. So I listen to my favorites and rely on most excellent people on this board that are going to win this for equity. I will be in Las Vegas just so I can meet you guys and shake your hand.
Lesson learned...Thanks Diamond.
Diamond has been steady as a rock this entire time. "2 x Value Plus" has been a rallying cry since I bought in at .0295 many many moons ago. The answer I don't have is when the stock is adjusted and is worth a great deal of maoney, will I sell or will I have the bagoons to let it ride and take the chance for HUGE money. It's going to be intense!
I've grown attached to the $24 pps number that I think Diamond originally calculated. It has a nice ring to it!
Does anyone think, like me, that settlement talks may be almost complete and the terms will be announced Tuesday in court?
How did you know I was out here? I got in Nov 2008 and have gone through all of it. This is my first post so hi everyone. Almost sold when WAMUQ crashed but the sensible ones talked me out of it. Should have sold at .65 on the way back down but missed out. Kick myself in the a$$ for that one.
Diamond...I ALWAYS read your posts. "2X Value Plus" lifted my spirits more than once. The same for Uzual, Catz, Ilenes, Fish, Lawrence, others. And to the legal minds that made this possible...THANK YOU.
Since I'm writing, I'm wondering what the board will do if the settlement brings the stock price to let's say $10. Will you ride the wave up to $24 and beyond or take profit? The stakes will be extremely high (for me at least) so I'm thinking of taking out half and letting the remainder ride what I hope will be to un-imagined heights.
Don't know how I'm going to concentrate on work when all this is going on. Thanks again.
