Today I am reminded of a portion of a quote from Thomas Paine in 1776;
"...we have this consolation with us, that the harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph. What we obtain too cheap, we esteem too lightly: it is dearness only that gives every thing its value."
The market is mercurial. Don't be reactive to negative stimuli. Make choices based in the facts apparent to us.
I'm standing.
Cheers and best wishes,
Toby
...and adding your own "interpretation", an admission that it is yours alone. No one else here shares your view.
Happy 2023. I have work to do.
I'm afraid I can't help how you interpret information. You see colors in the spectrum of interpretation that only bees are able to see. Most of us here are merely human so we interpret things differently.
Come on Ted! What you see as "a significant delay" is merely part of the process.
Your view is very sensible.
From today's announcement;
Dr. Wolfgang Heni, Co-CTO at Polariton, added: "At Polariton we are excited about this achievement. With a decade of experience in plasmonic circuits, we value the collaboration with Lightwave Logic having supplied this excellent high-performance electro-optic material. We are looking forward to a solid product roadmap aimed at next-generation photonic devices, modulators, and transceivers."
Until we get that "solid product roadmap" we will hang out somewhere near this price level. I'm bullish for the long run, expecting a great run when we get the perk in a product.
In the meantime, there is a lot of empty talk around here. I'm headed for my workshop to make Christmas presents.
What is "not said" is infinite, and that infinity of things not said is where you frequently draw your conclusions. I agree with one thing you said though, "Follow the facts".
I read the NYTimes every day and my parents did, and their parents, going back to the early 20th century, at the very least. My father has been a subject of their professional and excellent reporting during his life and he was treated fairly. Most of my of my friends and family have the utmost respect for the NYTimes and can't imagine living without it. I have problems with some of their editorial decisions/positions for sure. No news outlet is flawless, but NYT is a paper that is read by business and political leaders daily around the globe. I imagine Michael Lebby himself either reads or peruses it and would happily submit to an interview with one of their respected business reporters. They have much to offer and are still considered one of the very best, if not the best, media sources on the planet. I cannot fathom why you never miss an opportunity to remind everyone here of your distain for one of the most respected papers in the world.
RKLY is on fire! Flirting with .30 today!
Grandpa said, "Where there's smoke, there's fire". Who knows, maybe some hope here lights some kindling.
I'm holding.
Ok, I got it. Fred Leonberger. I'm still relatively new here.
Do you mean Greg Leonberger of Marquette?
Thanks for your response. This stock is my biggest loser ever percentage wise. I guess I am lucky to have been a small time holder. If I sell now I could buy, well, not much - maybe a case of good wine or a spare tire for my truck. I might hold on the chance a miracle happens, though your prediction of the death spiral continuing after the split does seem likely.
Thanks again MeghanStar and good luck with your new investment. I enjoy your posts.
Any thoughts on the reverse split and/or any actions mentioned in the proxy?
Terms of service.
“You are entitled to your opinion. But you are not entitled to your own facts.”
Yikes
Yes, unfortunately. I got hypnotised watching the money spin down the drain. Might as well hold on now and hope for a miracle or sell for tax loss. Fortunately, I don't hold more than a thousand.
"Just saying" can be funny too, like when my girlfriend makes a delicious rye Manhattan with a Luxardo cherry and I say, "That's some swell Manhattan! Just sayin'...."
That's your problem.
"I'm willing to change my convictions at any time".
Sometimes you have to wade through the current to get to the other side of the river. We do that because we have convictions. It's that or be swayed by every current and eddy.
Promises! Promises!
"Hibernating until the 2023 ASM..."
Yes, it shows on the Nasdaq site.
Quahog or oyster, on the half shell, stuffed, or cooked, are both happiest and best quality when they are from Wellfleet!
Who stole my shirt?
Keep waiting is right. Imagine pleading guilty to over a dozen felonies and only getting five years probation and five months in jail. Some people get all the breaks.
Ha! Yes, but if I buy more it goes down.
Hmmm... take the hit or hold on?
Thanks jacksonjohn. That explains it. The institutional information is as of June 30, kind of old news. Some are likely off loading. I'm underwater on this stock but hopeful for its future. Am I nuts?
Yes, I'm heartened to see the apparent connection in institutional holdings between the two. But I am also wondering why RKLY sp is so weak right now.
Interesting to see what institutions are invested in RKLY. Many have increased their positions.

He did say that their focus is on long term sustainable growth and they are committed to being a leader. He also said that they take an active involvement helping to direct the companies that they invest in. In other words, they are not passive participants but offer guidance and are paying attention to decision making in their investments without "getting in the way" of successful BOD's. They use their "weight" to influence the co. That probably isn't a revelation, of course they vote, but it sounded more active than that to me.
I'm afraid I am not trained to understand the in's and out's of this subject, but it definitely invites more inspection. When a fund buys that much in a short period of time, as Blackrock did, it is surely worth following. Curiously, I was chatting with one of their executives this last weekend by a lake in Vermont. I was too polite to bring up LWLG. I know, I know, I should have, but it was a social occasion and it seemed rude.
Yes. The increase for Blackrock was more than substantial, it was huge. It's quite a positive to have these big boys along for the ride.
I find it interesting that there is quite a rise in the number of institutional holdings. Blackrock is now #1 by a long shot, Vanguard #2 https://www.nasdaq.com/market-activity/stocks/lwlg/institutional-holdings
LWLG has 96 institutional investors! Over 15 million shares held by them, with 57 increased positions!
Thank you for that fascinating article.
"The neural networks that we have do not distinguish between serious errors and non-serious. They are all scored the same. Average accuracy is almost never what people want. We need to think about penalizing errors based on their severity and not their frequency. Not all data points are equally important. So how do you correct this? The loss function must be based on severity, and the training set should rate based on the importance of data.”
That's a mouthful. The comment above applies to many aspects of daily life, especially news and information in general. The article as a whole is very dense for non techs like me, but I'm glad you posted it.
Very interesting news. I'm in France right now. The French Government is very supportive toward advanced technology.
70% of my shares are in my ROTH as well.
Thank you, that's a sober assessment, no irrational exuberance. That's about how I see it developing.
That was a fascinating article. I wonder if Susquehanna has anything to do with the odd trades and volume we have been experiencing with LWLG.
"Games will be played", as has been oft stated here.
I'm sure you didn't mean "infamy". The definition of infamy is;
the state of being well known for some bad quality or deed.
"a day that will live in infamy"
