Latest press out - 2 hrs ago - about the recent trustee settlement of PIM assets for Lehman customers.
Statement of the Office of the Trustee of Lehman Brothers Inc. (LBI) Settlement to Finalize Private
James W. Giddens, the Trustee for the Liquidation of Lehman Brothers Inc. (LBI), the broker-dealer of Lehman Brothers, is pleased to note the U.S. Bankruptcy Court's approval of a settlement agreement with Barclays to finalize the transfer of Private Investment Management (PIM) assets to former LBI customers.
This milestone brings to a successful conclusion the Account Transfer phase of the Securities Investor Protection Act (SIPA) liquidation of LBI. Since the demise of Lehman in September 2008, the Trustee has overseen the successful transfer of 110,000 accounts containing more than $92 billion in customer assets to Barclays, Neuberger Berman, and other SIPC member broker dealers. Overall the Trustee is administering more than $110 billion in the liquidation of LBI, the largest broker-dealer ever to fail. The Trustee's transfers of accounts allowed customers to continue trading within days of LBI's filing, maintaining liquidity and investor confidence through a tumultuous time in the nation's markets.
The PIM conversion of accounts -- effected in accordance with court orders, provisions of the SIPA statute, and regulatory intent -- was the only remaining aspect of the Account Transfers not yet fully complete. The Securities Investor Protection Corp. (SIPC), the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Federal Reserve Bank of New York all supported the Trustee's motion and the Account Transfer process, and with today's ruling their and the Trustee's goal of customer protection has in fact been achieved.
The Trustee is acting pursuant to his principal duty to return property to public customers while at the same time maximizing the estate for all creditors. This settlement does not affect the Trustee's separate, pending claims against Barclays in the Rule 60(b) motion and adversary proceedings, requesting the Court rule that billions of dollars of disputed assets that Barclays is claiming remain the property of the LBI estate. The transfer of these assets would create an unfair windfall for Barclays at the expense of public customers.
The Trustee continues to work through an enormous workload to resolve claims not covered by the Account Transfers in a fair, transparent and orderly process. The Trustee has determined more than 85% of asserted public customer claims filed by the June 1, 2009 deadline, and has made substantial progress in reconciling large, omnibus claims asserted by LBHI, LBIE and others.

You just need to keep the shells and know the right people...
But what do I know, I'm just a GIANTIC LIZZARD that has nuclear fallout breath...I prefer the Japanese to "motor liquidation" (GM) They're small enough to squeese the toe jam stuck between my toes. :P
Well only 250k because it needs to be "protected" by the fDIC (LOL) Ohhh....that hurts. I need a few more, only 500k safe between Jest and Oil. :)
:) Thanks...I guess that would be as "safe" as could be with what's going on.
I'm sure the taxes we'd all be paying would solve the deficit. (LOL)
I would keep more than one bullet. Those are already harder to get. I'd also sell a little if there's a POP so you can play with "free shares" in case it takes a few years in court. Then you can get your stuff back or something better. I've held too long in the past, but this is a game. Buy low, sell high and try to play with the houses money... Free shares, not your actual house. ;)
I went back and thought I saw a typo. Nov 23rd 2009!?!?!?! 120 banks FAILED that day? I never saw that news release...
Where are we going to put our millions after the settlement??? (LOL)
I would not sell the guns. (LOL)
True, but the emotion has me buying so many more shares. :)
Thanks for pointing that pattern out. I've only bought and if the volume increases as price drops, I'll be ready to BUY. I could see that happening and if JPM is the short they could cover their short positions, buy 4% of WAMUQ and then settle...ARGHHHH! I want them shorts to BURN!
It's not even JUST about making money for me now. I'm invested emotionally which is dangerous and dumb, but at least I'm aware of that. :D
I stand corrected, but not on the EVIL POS comment. (LOL)
First time on a Thursday I believe and within hours means JPM had already been talked to about it and right before the bank bailouts!!!
EVIL POS's!!!
Pattern...
What goes up usually goes down. It's actually held up better than I thought. I think the GETA peeps from the Y board bought a lot.
I thought about getting in at .10, but I think it'll be lower by 2010. Probably a 50% POP before the end of the year but then bleeding back down to under .10. I'll be watching, but I'd need others to POP for some dry powder to make it happen.
I've got too many on my "watch list" :)
I'm about to sleep off my Saturday night. Good to enjoy a drink or two myself. :)
I was hoping to get back in before Tuesday, but with no dry powder and patent in question, it's probably best I move on. I'd expect a run up til Tuesday and then a POP with all the money on the balance sheet from DeWind. Good luck and hopefully CTC will adapt the patent to protect their work.
If only the "system" was as transparent. (LOL)
I already made 20k on LEHMQ and almost got my money back from WAMUQ. They usually follow each other and LEHMQ use to lead WAMUQ, now it's rotated. I think both situations are unique and different, but I'd say both will be much higher than where we are now.
I've got lots of shares and I'll get my investment out to ride the "free shares" just in case it turns for the worst. I actually believe both companies could have VRMLQ ability, but I honestly don't know.
I'd say WAMUQ was solivent and settlement could happen. Even if it doesn't happen, and the PPS falls I'd say the amount of shares shorted would create a POP and any investment could be recovered if you load up low and are ready on the POP. I was on a plane when my LEHMQ hit .30. I tried to sell big blocks the next day and they just kept lowering the bid. So I raised my ask and then sold 25k chuncks at .20-.24 instead of the .18-.16 that I had followed them down to.
I have LEHJQ and LEHMQ. Both are about the same price, but the JQ will have a better chance of getting paid. However the volume is in MQ, so if you believe in LEH, then JQ is best but if you're trading MQ is the way to go. Hence, why I have both. :)
So they probably dumped their shares (TH)only to double down yesterday before the vote. What have I gotten myself into...(LOL)
This is where I put what was left of my HTDS funds. 8~O
The M's have the volume and will run, but I'll probably sell most of that position. Hence why I'd like it to fall further so I can buy more. The M's are the trading shares and the J's I will only take off enough to run with "free shares" just in case.
I don't know what will happen, but I just see LEH as the Pheonix rising from the ashes and WM as David vs JPM's Goliath. I was in both when they we're taken out and I felt both times it just wasn't possible...Something is amiss and hopefully the justice system will work. I didn't buy Wachovia at a buck and watched WFC take it from C so I'll be interested to see how the fDIC deals with all of the mess. I didn't trust that adminstration (Bush) but we'll see if the BIG O admin adheres to justice. I could see them stepping in "for the good of the economy" and making it all go away so that Jamie "too big to fail" can move into a power position...
Alright, I'm angry again...If the market was open I'd buy more WAMUQ. (LOL)
I'm thinking of going. (LOL) I hope they have our product at the door so I can test it myself. :P
Usually RS's scare me out, but not at these levels. I got out of GNTA at .078 and it tripled after it's RS and only fell because of bad phase 3 data.
If IDOI tripled after a RS from here, I'd be VERY HAPPY, but unlike biotech, we'd have a product in use, instead of phase data.
I'm back in. :)
LEHJQ & LEHMQ
I made 20k on the run from .05 to .30, not bad for losing 4k when the BK happened. If we fall to .05 I'll get more to make my current position "free" Even lower and I'll buy LOTS MORE. Felt a need to get in today at .07 "just in case"
I stopped by Chase bank today. Looked around and thought about how temporary the signs looked and how there's "blue" everywhere. (LOL) I proudly pulled out my WAMU ATM card and made my transaction. I got it after the hiest to always remember what happened.
I'm holding WAMUQ and bought more LEHMQ today at .07 and already had LEHJQ.
I had bought both LEH the week it down and WM the day it went down. I jokingly called myself the "bank killer" I think justice will prevail and I knew BAC who I bank with was shotgunned to MER. Now we all know that publicly. I also knew that WM was stolen by JPM...Soon that too will be known...
Full disclosure...(.12)
The more it falls, the more I BUY! :)
See...
P.S. I also buy more when I'm ANGRY! (LOL)

Have a WAMUderful weekend.
I bought before the run and got more as it went up.
Just waiting for the middle east to EXPLODE and then so will this stock. I've got some gas/oil stocks based here, just in case too. Sucks to profit off of something like that, but I'm prepared "for the holidays"
Yeah holding most of mine from .05 Not looking to sell anytime soon.
8 would get me over a million, but I'd hold til the end. So if it falls I could get more before that happens. I just keep adding to my position, but I try to do it when it falls. At .12 I'm even. Down 25% at the close yesterday. A dollar would boost morale, but I'd expect a sell off because everybody would have made 2-5 times their money. To have it open one morning at 1, 8, 12, 24, 32 would make a lot of people VERY HAPPY. :)
I'm happy with either direction!
If it goes up. I win...
If it falls, I buy double, triple and quadruple more shares and play with free shares til the end.
So either way...I'll still win. :)
LOL don't even want to look. LOL
Make that 1 million :)
I'm doing good on MCLN, but my IDOI is RUNNING. I bought another 250k at .0055 :) So far so good.
Thank you, I think I know where I'll be moving my Vanguard account to. :)
I tried to buy more last week and they blocked me. Today I got out, so at least you can still sell.
I'm not in, but I'd say the "insider" who bought those HUGE chuncks probably knew about this...http://finance.yahoo.com/news/Scientists-lawyers-mull-apf-1488344883.html?x=0&sec=topStories&pos=2&asset=&ccode=
Good luck, but I didn't jump in under .04 because I have other plays I feel are better long term at that PPS. If it falls to below .015 where those big blocks were bought, then maybe but...
I work in health care and a robot cannot do the job I do. I entertain besides provide a service. However there is a need for more quality providers and at least a robot won't steal, not show up or abuse you and that's the real problem in the field I work in. So some of the robots will be used, and be better than some of the "bad" providers out there so...
there is a need. Good luck on monday and enjoy the ride. :)
Monday??? Oohhhh...I thought I'd need a day off due to potiential "hangover" (LOL)
I'm in. :)
I thank those on the $heff DD board for my purchase today. I like what I see and look forward to Tuesday and beyond.
Thanks $heff for your PM on my PWRM trade and your DD board. I'm not premium so I can't post there. I got in to MCLN today. A week late, but for less than I was willing to pay when I first looked, so I doubled up 225K and ready to go long. :)
Thanks again
HOOORRRAAHHHH!
I traded LEHMQ for a 20K profit. I've got some LEHJQ "just in case" but I reentered WAMUQ as it's fallen. I BELIEVE and I'm putting my money where my mouth is. If I didn't, then I'd probably regret it. I just hope all the WAMU employees kept there stocks. I asked some right after and they said Chase told them to sell them because they're "worthless" It's all those employees that I feel really sorry for.
I buy and sell stocks. I know the risks, but I'm betting they didn't realize what happened was even possible. Which it shouldn't have happened and hopefully the judge will rectify that problem. 12 would be really good, but being shareholders rejected 8 and we could get damages, I like your 24 PPS much better. A stock swap of 2 WAMUQ for 1 JPM would be close to that price, but JPM will tank on that news and JD will just say, "let us fail" to look good in the public eye.
Sorry, got angry again. (LOL)
Congrats to you WM and GO WAMUQ!
145,000 WAMUQ and GROWING!!!
I got angry again...so I got more. (LOL)
Good position for an investor of WM the day in was STOLEN!
I got most of the money back from the .02 to .10 run...Now, It's a lotto ticket.
I'm looking for HUGE GAINS or a tax write off. I can wait. :)
I picked up another 59,000 WAMUQ today. :)The volume earlier in the week cooled and I don't think the increase was on accident.
18,000 invested in WAMUQ so far and that's only half of what I've made this year so a loss wouldn't bother me. I've got a good position in TTNP that I bought under .05 so If WAMUQ tanks, I'll keep collecting and use it to off set those gains at a much later date.
Patience is really good to have in this one.
I like the fact I get angry and buy more. (LOL)
I wanted 100,000 MCLN last week at .04, So I'm more than happy to have even more than that today. :)
