PClick, Is NEOM either directly or indirectly one of the third parties? Los
Scottrade has news but I can't get anything to display.
lucy, VIPR for me this week.
money, Maybe this is just wishful thinking but I keep thinking back to our actor/CEO's statement per the girl on the phone, he "hoped" to give us news soon. I think some sort of NDA agreement is in play with some other entity until terms of some agreement can be worked out and then some joint news release. Otherwise I don't believe our CEO would have drug this news release out this long. Just my opinion and as I said, could be just wishful thinking. It just doesn't make any sense at all for this delay otherwise, if it is just our CEO delaying it on his own accord. If this were a total scam, I think we would have already seen two or three puff pieces by now concerning the results. Los
Shin, I'm thinking the same thing and hope you're right. Los
les, I know there has been some debate of certain terminology on the board lately, I'm not trying to do that, but I'm not to comfortable with the company's use of the term "expected proceeds" as it relates to earnings. I may be splitting hairs but why didn't they just say "expected earnings" in their statement? If they had used that choice of words then it would have been more clear as to what is going on with regards as to how they're getting the money at least. Sadly enough, when I think of PROCEEDS, I usely am thinking of some sort of loan proceeds. I am doubtful that it is any kind of sale of assets proceeds since YA has a lien on everything down to their pencils and would have to release it. I doubt YA would do that. My opinion only, Los
Thanks for the link JP. Los
money, a whole lot crosses one's mind in an incident such as this, in a few seconds doesn't it? I've been there. Los
Another thing, Iain McCready and Mike Zima and BOD, If you're aware of this board as you've stated, one of the civil liabilities held against Scrushy was "willful neglect of his duties as CEO." Remember your statements about time constraints not allowing for insuring proper accounting procedures? Your own words in your official filings, no "misquotes". You can't be sure where this will lead in the future, can you? Damn those pesky recorded words. Los
Ask Richard Scrushy [HealthSouth] who is sitting in prison right now by the way, if Jeff Abraham is a heavy hitter or not. Los
money, I hope you and your loved ones are doing well. At least as well as could be expected after being in a tornado. I live in tornado alley and am aware of how devastating they can be. Los
Thanks krays for sharing your pacer updates. I know it costs money to get pacer reports and I for one appreciate you sharing them. Los
[VIPR!] lucy, This is my first time posting here. I'll pick VIPR this week.
Gotta handcuff YA's conversions first or we won't wind up with squat in an acquisition. By the way, Webenick picked CBS as our buyer months ago. Los
July 13th.
lucky, GREED can cause smart people to do some stupid things. YA is definitely greedy, enough so to have stepped outside the legal boundries to help insure their success at milking this. Thanks to claws lawsuit, I think some of YA's indiscretions will come to light. claw is finally holding "YA/NEOM's feet to the fire" just as you called for in your first post here on Sept. 2nd '09 shortly after the last CC. I honestly don't understand your change in attitude about holding their feet to the fire in this. I don't have enough value left in this to pay for one trip to the in and out. Why not let the suit play out and see if claw can help turn this around and possibly see some good finally come to the common shareholder as a consequence of the suit. Claw and anyone who may be involved in the suit behind the scenes deserve to achieve success here, I'm not sure that I do, because I sat around and did nothing [Other than registering several complaints with the SEC and Delaware Division of Corps.] Relying on the good graces of YA/NEOM was going to break us all in regards to our investment in Neom. Claw has seen a possible way to be part of a possible solution here and and not part of the problem as you've indicated the suit is. I see the suit as the catalyst to turn this around for common shareholders, if it is possible to turn it around. Lucky, I have less involved here than you've indicated that you do but I consider my losses here gone. If some are recovered before this plays out I'll be pleasantly surprised. A good man [possibly some good men] have decided to do something. I'm sure he or they have as much to lose here as anyone if this plays out as you've suggested it will. I believe that you're wrong about your opinion of the suit. I share your frustration about this investment but not about the suit. Los
Money, Me for one, as soon as I can wire some money to Scottrade Monday. Los
Thanks Polaris, When a friend informed me that no transactions occured after 1:30 Friday, I began to doubt my negative conclusion as to what I thought may have been going on with the stock Friday. Los [P.S. I think now that if the company was dumping 504 shares ahead of bad news, the volume Friday would have been greater and trading would have not stopped at 1:30.]IMO
Polaris, I trust what you're saying with your 2 posts back to back, but I'm not liking what I'm deducting from them. Have I misunderstood what you are implying? Los
Shadow, If VIPR is selling stock right now to pay up front for these results, by the time their money settles and they study the results for a few days then decide how to release them [better this time I hope] we may be looking at another week or two before we see them. Just a thought, Los
T.P. No better nor No worse than YA wants us to be doing. At least in my own mind, YA is in control of this right now. I don't believe that the lingering .20 PPS range and the mystery .002/.20 after RS, sale on Sept. 14th 09 are coincidental at all. Los
I'm guessing that the results are ready but won't be released to VIPR until paid for, therefore VIPR has no choice but to sell some shares at these prices to pay for the results. In that case, IMO, should the results be incredibly good, then this dilution could be a blessing in disguise. Los
Pop, would you agree that this company's revenue may have been better if YA hadn't intentionally cut funding to an amount sufficient only to keep the doors open and the dilution scheme going? Say enough money to do some marketing and building of the brand, funds with less onerous terms. Back to what I said, YA's blame. YA's own description of their financing is "attack financing". I don't know what that means, but I don't like the sound of it. Los
BC, 99&1/2% of the damage to this investment can and should be attributed to YA and not to a discussion of our misgivings about what this company and YA have been up to. To present all the rosey scenarios and not discuss some of the bad is what's absurd. You are one of the more respected minds on this board, at least as far as I'm concerned but you should be even handed with your thoughts expressed here or you could inadvertantly become nothing more than a judas goat for YA. It is not absurd to discuss the financial troubles here as well as the possibilities of success. According to the position YA has maneuvered themselves into with this companies complicity, Until YA is either neutered or gone, the common shareholder will see very little of any prosperity if there is any generated with this company. At least that's how I see it. Los
Polaris, If these MMI results indicate that drilling is warranted, will this 504 offering raise enough money to pay for the drilling? The company desired to raise 1 million to 1 1/2 million with this one. Will that cover it? Los
FunVestor, I'm a smallfry investor in VIPR just hoping for the best. Looking for the pony in the pile. I sincerely hope we all make some money here that's all. Los
IMO, I'm also thinking it's possible that another message being subtly conveyed is "hang in there, you're going to like what you see" Los
I'm thinking [A dangerous thing. LOL] but the Attorney letter yesterday could be purely coincidental with the timing of our expecting results PR. Maybe just clearing his "to do" list. However, it could be a subtle message from the company meaning, "Guys and Gals, see we're legit with our filings and normally file timely so just a little patience please we may be delayed a few days." Nothing to back this up, Like I said just thinking out loud so to speak. Los
clabpr, when we get this gold concession drilled and this gold issue settled and begin to explore our uranium potential, you got it! Los
Wasn't it George O'leary's consulting firm who recommended the former CEO be replaced with Iain? Los
Thanks Chrisma. Los
codes, I take it as a good opinion. Los
Pop, Maybe an advance from Neustar involved with some sort of factoring agreement with NEOM maybe even with recourse. Not much extra work for Neustar who'll be billing licensees they sign up anyway, and more profit, maybe 10 to 30% after discount of NEOM's future invoices for a while. This would work if Neustar is aware of soon to be licensees and invoices and revenue. I still say Neustar has an interest in seeing NEOM not fail. Los
Sorry Pop, I know better than to argue with you about this. My knowledge of all this is simply to limited or even non-existant. I do respect your knowledge of this technology. Los
Pop, read my post again. I didn't say Neom paid royalty payments to Neustar. Maybe I used the wrong word calling the fees collected by Neustar on behalf of NEOM royalties, but Neustar could deduct their advance before forwarding the fees on to neomedia according to a prearranged agreement of how much each time. Neustar must have felt their relationship with NEOM important or they wouldn't have partnered up with them in the first place. A NEOM failure at this time would likely effect Neustar's plans also. Partners help each other often if it helps both accomplish the over all plan. It may not happen but it's not a ridiculous thought. Los
Pop, May be a bad solution but a solution none the less. How many good solutions do you see for NEOM at this point in time? I don't see it as a bad solution at all, however. Los
TP. I'm probably one of the least optimistic ones here. It just would make sense. I look forward to your reply but give it a minutes thought this time. Other than NEOM, Who else would know NEOM's prospects for the coming year better than Neustar? They could simply deduct payments on the advance before sending NEOM's royalty payments. Los
It is my opinion that Neomedia is getting an "advance" from Neustar. Los
Polaris, [In hindsight] I feel that the company badly mishandled the way they released the last results. I learned from it even as dumb as I am. Maybe the company learned that they need to give more thought as to how to handle these. IMO Los
That's right Polaris. This company needs to get their ducks in a row before releasing the report, then release simultaneously something like this. 1. Here's our results. 2. Here's the companies view of the results. 3. Here's what we intend to do next based on these results. 4 Here's how we intend to pay for it. 5. A general timeframe. The company needs to assure themselves as much as possible that they can in fact follow through before releasing such, This will take a little extra time but would be well worth the time in the long run. IMO Los
